Quick work at a reasonable price. Diagnosed an issue very quickly that was turned away elsewhere as a much bigger problem.

Took our van in to diagnose a sound, I was told that all brake pads where bad, a rotor, and caliper needed to be replaced. The fee was $838 to which I felt was too much and I could do the work. I got home and removed drivers side rear tire and found that the mechanic failed to put the slide pin bolts back in. The price I paid for the parts $270. Not trying to trash talk this business but just wondering WTH?!

Went here for an estimate and Holy hell the prices were inflated. Asking about $950 or a $400 dollar fix, labor costs included. People were nice and timely but not sure if Id do repairs here.

Absolutely the best! Have been going to these guys for anything out of my hands for years now. They are very knowledgeable about what they do, and do fantastic work! Theyre prices are fair, and possibly the most important, they are Honest with you. They wont try to talk you into work that doesnt Need to be done, they wont string you along with if we do this, we have to do that, and this other blah blah blah... if they tell you something, they mean it, otherwise they will inform you of options you have and help walk through what different options might cost. Also, that have an incredibly warm and inviting waiting room and it looks great. Ive never had any problems with any of their work, and have been referring people to them for a long time. So glad they came back after being down for awhile, I honestly wasnt sure where else to go to. A+++

This is hands down the best shop in Traverse City. Honest, quick, and will always work with you. I’d trust them from anything from steering to electrical (which I have, and everything has been flawless since). The mechanics and shop owners are friendly And knowledgeable. 5/5 stars.

We were visiting the are and my sons truck broke down late on a Friday night. We were able to get it towed to Traverse City Service Garage. We werent sure if they would be able to fix it on Saturday in time for us to leave on Sunday. After contacting them Saturday morning they jumped on it and figured out the issue. They promised to get it done for us and were true to their word. Shortly after noon we drove away. They were fantastic to deal with and I recommend them highly.

I have used these gentlemen for all my vehicle work for nearly 10 year and could not ask for better people to deal with. They are honest, fair, and qualified for most work. If they are not qualified to do a certain operation/process they will openly tell you and provide a referral to a reputable provider. If they are doing work they will suggest anything else that might need to be considered and never once was it falsely suggested. I could not give them a better recommendation.

The staff at Traverse city public garage was able to help us out on a Saturday and get us back on the road that day. They provided exceptional service at a reasonable price. At a time I f need they came thru something that doesn’t happen all the time.

I just wanted to say how amazing these guys are. Today I was heading out to traverse city from Cadillac, and on my way in to town my car started to make some noise. It seemed to be running okay at the time, so I went to the doctors. But, after leaving the doctors, I realized I needed to have my car looked at before heading home. So, after looking up a few places, I came upon these guys. Im so glad I did. They took a look at the car and told me my water pump and belt had broken. Knowing I was not going to be heading home anytime soon I asked how long would it take and how much and could they do it that day. They were awesome. They ordered the parts and started working on it right way. Told me it would be 4 hours. Me and my son (2yearsold) got comfortable in the waiting room. After an hour and 30 minutes everything was taken care of and I was able to head home!!!! Just want to Thank Nat for his hard work and fast work youre awesome!!!! And the man running the front desk youre just as awesome!!! Thank you guys!!!

I needed new tires and was quoted a price by another shop in town. I stopped in and saw Steve at TC Public Service Garage. He sat down with me and asked me about how I used my car, explained the different types of tires that would suit my needs, gave me the pros and cons of different tires and came back with a price over $250 LESS than the other shops sale price!!! Incredible service! Took us as a last second drive up at the end of the day and completed the brake change in 45 minutes! Very knowledge and friendly.

The free diagnostics is fantastic, and they actually look through your car and check everything. They printed out what was wrong and what needed to be done specifically. I didnt have the work done there because I had to go back downstate, but I trust they know what theyre doing.

These guys are great.Ive had my Honda in several times for routine maintenance and they do ONLY the work that needs done, all at a reasonable price. Ive never felt pressured, and theyve even talked me out of unneeded repairs.Very highly recommended.

We were on vacation in the Traverse City area last week and our brakes started grinding. We googled to find out who did brakes and TCPSG had nearly a 5 star rating so we gave them a call. They fixed our brakes and discovered our pinion seal was leaking and they filled it with fluid to get us through our vacation stating that it would be fine until we got home. We decided to have them fix this problem too as we really didnt have a place to get it fixed at home. Their price was extremely fair and they were very professional. We were camping so we had no where to go while they fixed our problems plus we had our little dog with us. They allowed us to bring the dog with us into the waiting area which was clean and comfortable. We are so happy we had these issues taken care of at TCPSG!! Thanks so much!!

Nice people helped out when our car broke down while on vacation.

Before I get to the bad, they were very friendly and honest with labor prices, but the outcome was not satisfaction, I took my old Honda Civic in to get a checkup, I ended up getting my breaks done, front and back, had the two front rotors cleaned up, changed head gasket and and some other little things, we were told there was a hiccup but they said it was fine, 2 days later there is an awful grinding noise in my back right tire, my uncle took off the wheel and pieces started falling out, the new head gasket was leaking oil, my oil pan which was also replaced was leaking out the bottom, coolant was getting all over my engine after I brought it in, they didn’t even bleed my brake lines after doing them, everything was a disappointment just costing me more money.

They were able to replace the coils on my folks Lincoln and get them back on the road the same day. TCPSG also let them know of some problems that could be taken care of when they got back home - without any sales pressure.

I needed a new wheel bearing. It takes a particular tool and the cost can be ALOT. I was SO happy with the service I received at TC PSG, they were great. They dropped and picked me up at my office and I paid about 25% less than other places.
