Great and clean gym with a lot of great amenities and a wonderful staff. One staff member particularly stuck out. His name is Avy and he is one of the best out there! Very kind and funny, and knows his stuff about the gym. He even helped me better my form while working out! Great guy and a great gym!

This gym is a mess overall. It doesnt have efficient cooling so its always quite warm upstairs. Parking is fine as its in a garage, but you have to bring your ticket with you and validate it BUT beware, if the validation machine is out youre expected to PAY $7/hr! Love LA fitness but this location is just. not. it.

I love this LA Fitness in Towson very spacious very unique and the staff is very accommodating and they got basically everything there for my swimming pool to racquetball rooms the only downfall is the parking even though the parking is free if your LA Fitness member but do not lose your ticket in the gym or you will get charged basically a little bit more than what your membership is worth a month that is the big negative it happened to me when I lost my parking ticket and I told them Im a LA Fitness member but it didnt matter thats the only reason this rating got three stars for me

First time at White Marsh. Called the day before to check hours and Covid-19 regs and twice was pick up and hang up on. So I just showed up. Everything was fine except lockers were not in use. Staff did open one for me to use. Was told they were going to be unlocked ASAP. That was an over site on their part.

This is the best gym in rock Hill. great friendly staff, clean and versatile facility, fantastic classes. Trevor in management was particularly knowledgeable and helpful

Customer service at the front desk is meh. Usually on phone and no eye contact. The gym has always been clean and the weight area is well padded so dropping weights is never an issue.

Okay gym time workout at I would say over priced compared to other gyms that have the same amount of equipment or even more and updated one big turn off is the WiFi barely ever work so if your phone needs internet to help groove to music that’s a big thing that’s always down

This gym is normally clean. Very spacious and of late, has not been too crowded for obvious reasons. Con is, the 1st floor had absolutely no paper towels to wipe down machines

Please beware my sons and their friend went to the gym last Sat. They all locked their backpacks in one locker with a lock. Later my son and the friend who both had Citibank credit cards discovered their cards were replaced with another Citibank credit card. This was the only place the switch could have happened. There was no other time their wallets were unattended and they were used just prior to going to the gym. Charges were made on my son’s credit card in Baltimore totaling over $500. Luckily their friend needed to pay for parking and discovered the switch when his card was declined. I called to tell the gym and it didn’t seem like the lady who claims she was in charge of the 3 managers was too concerned that something like this was going on. I hope by posting this they will put some effort into protecting their patrons belongings. She actually wanted the names on the replaced credit cards as if the thief would put their own credit card in someone’s wallet. Hope this helps prevent this from happening to you.

Highly upset that the gym threatens to remove you if your mask slips by accident which they feel people say when they intentionally dont want to put their masks up but to those honest people who are really trying to keep the mask up and may have an issue such as your earbuds got caught... There is no warnings or three strikes it makes you feel unwelcome...

Wonderful facility with everything you could need from weights to pools to classes. Garage parking that can be validated inside the gym. Only loses 1 star because with COVID changes you cant park anywhere near the gym as the road is closed due to outdoor dining on weekends (not the gyms fault, of course).

BE AWARE OF SCAMMING!! There is a sales guy name Joey at the front desk who will try to sell you membership. When my gf and I joined last year, he told us we will sign for a 1 year basis, pay a X amount upfront and monthly. We agreed. Come this year, they charge us another maintenance fee even though WE DID NOT agree to a new contract, or have even been offered/noticed. They will absolutely lie to your face and smile when they try to take your money and look the other way when they fraudulently charge you. Do no ever go here unless you like paying random people money for nothing. Joey is terrible and so is the company.

Pretty good gym but since opening up, the water fountains has not been turned on but yet you can PURCHASE water. I do understand thats there a pandemic going on but it seems thats your profiting off the matter. You cant turn the water fountains on but you can take showers, seems the same to me. Come Towson we do better!!!

Just know that if you feel the need to use this public bathroom even in a lawful manner Sherrise (the janitor) will become irate and yell obscenities at you while you use it. She will also call the police on you because this is her personal bathroom where she likes to lock her belongings. Also if she has keys to this bathroom she will come in without your permission whether you like it or not.

The best La Fitness location in the entire Baltimore area. Bright. Clean. Equipment that works and is up to date. A solid amount of machines. Basketball, racquet ball, saunas, a pool. The parking garage is plentiful with space, and its free with a validation at the gym. Nearly perfect aside from not spotless or prime bathrooms and lockers.

Cool. Be glad the hot sauna and pool open. Although, the shower room area is NOT clean at ALL.

LA Fitness is making difficult to cancel, first i called front desk told me to call a corporate number, called 3 times nobody answered, one call i wait 20 minutes... next day they charge one more month, i called again to Towson, told meto go in person to cancel, i did, but no refund, ended up paying 2 months, they gave me a paper telling me i am still entitled to attend the gym for 2 more months, but i dont want to go, it is not safe!... manager told me again to call corporate to get a refund, called again, no answer... shame on LA Fitness been a customer for almost 12 years and this is what i got... never again, i will issue a complaint to BBB...

Tons of equipment and clean

I asked LA Fitness in Towson to freeze my account and not take any of my money but instead they did and took out $80.I now have to make $60 last me the next 2 weeks.I didnt ask for them to take it out but instead they did on THEIR BEHALF.And now I would like my money ($80) to be put back into my account TODAY and only have $10 taken to freeze my account due to money being tight at the moment.

Club was recently renovated, especially on the second floor, which enhances the quality of the space for sure. With that being said, the locker room/ bathrooms/ sauna and showers need to be renovated and maintained better. Too many times have I seen clumps of hair, wet paper towels, mold and mildew in the showers on the floor and on the shower curtains, respectively. The toilets are rarely ever clean, and the benches in the sauna creak and groan like they’re about to abscond this dimension, making it extremely hard to meditate.

This place is terrible. My daughter just got her membership 6 days ago and she is very disappointed. First of all, after you pass the gym area, there is a very powerful urine smell all over the places- toilets, sauna, hallways, swimming pool area and the area where you change your clothing. I dont know who is in charge in Baltimore County with public health and who should inspect places like this, but something must be wrong here. The customers of this place are in danger of getting sick because the place is wretched. The floor from the sauna has only cement and their excuses are that the owners wife didnt like what was on the floor and after removing what was there previously, they didnt decide what to put back. My daughter was there to cancel the membership, but the manager was very unprofessional. First, she said that the cancellation must be done between 3 and 6 days; when my daughter said that she got her membership 6 days ago, the manager changed her mind and said that only after 3 days you can cancel the membership. My daughter and I wanted a place with sauna and swimming pool, but how can you trust to swim in their pool? I dont want to get a bacteria, or fungus...I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!! My daughters friend came last night and she said that she threw up after her last visit because of the strong urine smell that is all over. However, she was there only two times with my daughter and she is going to cancel her membership too.

Love the gym. Great nation wide chain. Hours could be a lot better. Dumbbells only go to 100lbs so cant get a great chest workout. Its a college area so pick your workout time wisely. Spacious gym though with a lot of variety and options.

Clean with lots of machines and lots of space. Way better than the owings mills location in my opinion. Also being able to park in the parking garage for free is a big plus.

Its a good gym. An upgrade from my $10 membership from said other. They validate parking so its great. Never had an issue of not having enough equipment.

Located upstairs with main entrance and garage entries. Handicap friendly with elevators, ramps & parking. There is a 3 lane pool generally well maintained with hot tub and saunas. Private bathroom available. Yoga room, cycling room and classes here. Basket ball court. Numerous tread mills. Full weight rack and pullup bars. Pendulum and machines arrayed upstairs. Training area downstairs.

I had an incident happen with a staff member last night. I dont want to get into what exactly it was because it was one employee that was not doing his job and I dont want to deter people from considering the gym. I was livid. I complained to Leia and another guy(cant remember his name right now, sorry!), they knew what happened was unacceptable and assured me that the next day someone would reach out to me about the incident.This morning I got a call from Hassan. The employee was fired for what he had done without hesitation and he did what he could to make it up to me. Even after he made it right, he wanted my feedback on how he could improve the gym and was very open to feedback.Besides this one incident, this has been my favorite gym. I love the classes, the people are kind, it is clean, and has a wide variety of equipment and things to do. I 100% recommend.

This gym is usually pretty gross. The staff doesnt do a good job of making sure the gym floor is tidy or that the bathrooms/locker rooms are sanitary. Weights are usually all over the place, dumbbells left all over the floors, plates are never where they should be. Locker rooms have toilet paper on the floors almost ALWAYS, water all over the counters, and during one of my visits actual human excrement dried into the tiles in the bathroom. Absolutely worst LA fitness in the local area.

I am loving this gym so far in terms of equipment, amenities and class offerings. It is genuinely everything I need. The front desk girls (some I suppose) can be extremely passive and basically ignore incoming clients. I got the most ingenuine hello yesterday but who cares I guess if the equipment is fantastic and the trainers are great. Good prices too.

How many more months are we going to have punching bags lying around the yoga room? Maintenance, where are you? 3 of these massive bags are down...Can you please put them back up? I have been refraining from writing a review, but I feel now is the time. Please do your job.

I like this gym for the price. I wish there was swimming pool outdoors though. And the room for the personal training offers other machines that not offered for normal use, unless you have a session with the trainer. There are kettle bells, rope and other staff that I am not able to use on a daily basis. Which is very enjoying. Why we pay to use all the facilities in the gym, and can not use the extra machines offered. And most of the time personal training room is empty anyways

One of the nicest LA Fitness I have been to. I have been to LA Fitness all over New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland. This is is new, clean and the first in Delaware. Only complaint is that there is not a sauna.

The gym is nice and clean. Its never super crowed when I go at 6 so I can use any of the cardio machines I want which is great.The front desk girl here leaves a little to be desired, especially since they are so friendly at other locations. Id rather be able to just scan myself in than wait for her, but what can you do?

Always excellent. Parking is available in the garage on Pennsylvania ave. My team and I enjoy it. Great atmosphere and great staff. The spa pool is outrageously good, the saunas, the pool is usually open.

Dishonest. Managers do their very best to weasel money out of you and your guest(s) in the least straightforward way possible. Very annoying. I ended up paying more than I agreed to because I just don’t have time to play the “run-around” game doing what I need to do to correct their “mistakes.” If I did it again, I’d try a different gym.

This is my gym, it has everything I need. I usually go early before work and it is never crowded. Even during the peak hours there is enough equipment that Im never waiting around for someone to finish their set :)

The pool is great. Even though there are only 3 lanes but they are big. Two people can swim in the same lane comfortably.

So my husband and I have just recently joined LA Fitness Towson less than a month ago. My husband and I came into the gym around 7pm unbeknownst that the gym closes at 8pm. As the lights were turning out, we rushed to get changed because no one came around to let us know they were closing up. Lea, short blonde-hair girl, I presume one of the staff was yelling “who is in the gym?”. My husband responded that we did not know the gym was closing, we left the pool...before he can finish his sentence, she continued to yell “So you were in the pool with no lifeguard, great. Just great!” Again, at this point I told her to lower her tone, I reiterated we just signed on and did not know. She proceeds to snap her fingers and yell at us to get changed.I have NEVER been talked to in such a disrespectful manner at an establishment before. It’s an embarrassment for LA fitness to have any one of their staff conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner toward its members. Instead of being polite and just telling us to get dressed, which we were more than happy to do, we get treated disgustingly by Lea. To top it off, she never cut the lights back on in the locker room, so I got dressed in the pitch black. Definitely Pursuing a formal complaint with cooperate.Very turned off as a member!!!

Nice big gym with almost all of the equipment you would expect in a gym, but they dont clean the place well. Its typical to find hairballs and dust bunnies on and under the equipment. You may or may not have paper towels, toilet paper or seat covers available to use. Sometimes you have to use the seat covers as toilet paper 😕. Often times there are no paper towels or sanitizer to use in the gym which is not sanitary.

Nice facility but cannot keep good yoga or cycle instructors so lot of schedule changes and cancelled classes. Parking a plus, locker and shower areas unkept

Its a gym. Nothing really more to say. Although, I wish they kept up with the cleanliness. I will say their employee turnover rate is high and thats not good. Every 2 weeks its new people working there. What are they doing to the employees?!

It was my first day and no one was at front desk, someone came after a while and after signing up I asked him to show me around since it was my first day and he just made excuses. Went in and all the machines were taken and I came back home without doing anything. Parking is also an issue there and its not a place when you can open a Gym. Not going again to waste time!

Top Notch Facilty!

I spoke with Isaac Parsley, who is a new employee at this club, and he was very helpful. Im recovering from an injury, and he gave me advice on workout strategies and exercises to strengthen and recover the affected areas. Also, he provided dieting tips to help me get the body composition that Im looking for.

This place is the WORST! My license was stolen and the staff was less than helpful. They called me the next day, telling me to “come into the gym, we might have found it” and when I went to the gym they ‘didn’t have it.’ SKETCHY. The class instructor was 10 minutes late for class, and was not welcoming to newcomers at all. I went here on a guest pass and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Dirty. The pool is to warm for swimming. Water is like bath water. Unbelievable!!

Is well managed, clean and provides a wide variety show of exercise devices. Also, is a great social outlet.

I enjoy going to the gym, I hate the men hitting on the women. If men got the same thing happen to them at the gym all the time they would find it annoying too. I would like to enjoy my workout in peace without having to dodge men and be hit on. I didnt have that problem when I was at another gym. I wish I was back there, I just cant afford it at the moment.

Im a Lifetime Member,something that was transferred over from Ballys Fitness when they were bought out. It was nice that they grandfathered in the customers but def didnt continue to offer the lifetime memberships to new customers. Great gym,they all are mostly the same. Even Merritt where your basically giving a blood donation each month with outrageous fees are still dirty in bathrooms etc. its a staff issue at most of these gyms,they not representing the company as a whole well,but I also assume the staff isnt making a ton of money on sanatation duties. You kinda get what you pay for in this world.

Not the same gym. No longer has the same feel as before. This location reminds me of the Washington Blvd location, a lot of out of shape people, a lot of older clientele and ugly people. I know it’s shady but it’s makes me cringe when all of the people I’ve described, look at you like a pork chop🤨😒😣. What location has the in shape people like Towson once had?!

Just changed their Saturday hours so theyre only open until 8 pm rather than 10. Smoothie/drink/supplement stand closes at 2 pm Saturdays and closed all day Sundays so for the majority of the weekend operating hours you cant even purchase a bottle of water. For $35 a month? I dont know who runs this place but theyre providing a pretty sub-par service.

Clean and able to get a real workout in. From 5-8 its super busy. Family vibe though.

Not clean - in work out areas or bathroom areas. No requirement to wipe off equipment or use a towel. Temperature during this summer is hotter than outside temp of 91° which is impossible to exercise safely. LA Fitness in Towson is fantastic but White Marsh location is the opposite. Want to throw away money, join. If you go to Towson then join, thats 4 stars.

Careless staff, its my day 2 here and jasmine one of the trainer have already cancled my one hour personal assessment session twice . The guy on the front desk was busy talking on phn flirting with someone. When i ask if i can see general manager they said he was not even there. No one seems interested in what they are doing..

Never, never, never sign up for a gym membership at LA Fitness. If you ever move or just want to stop going to their gym, they make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your membership. You cant cancel it over the phone, you cant cancel it online. You have to go, IN PERSON, to an LA fitness, where they give you a piece of paper that you then have to MAIL back to LA Fitness. Making it this difficult to have them stop charging your credit card should be ILLEGAL. This is a horrible business and I dont care if it is the only gym within a thousand miles: I will never go to an LA Fitness again.

Gym is nice. When equipment isnt working, they have a repairman there within 2 days to fix it.For the most part the open area is kept clean.
