I needed to return a fan here and the staff couldnt have been nicer. I didnt have the receipt and they were able to look it up from my credit card. No issues, no hassles. Just nice, friendly staff. I will keep shopping here

So, take this review with a grain of salt, Im not exactly a handyman. I like to think Im a bit better than Bob the Builder, but nowhere near a Ron Swanson. However, Im also the sort who will boldly claim I can fix it and make a modest attempt.Lowes is what it is, ours is pretty good! Ive never had...trouble here? Its always been clean and Ive always found anything Ive needed? Is that about right for this? I dont know what a bad Lowes is, maybe everything is incorrectly labeled and/or the employees try and deconstruct your home projects, but none of that happens here.

I am a frequent customer here I spend upwards of thousands of dollars here every other month. My experience was with Corey. Any time my transaction is over $100 dollars I use my military discount. So I believe the cashiers are not doing there job and it made my experience with Corey a little frustrating. I was asked for my military ID. ( I guess none of the reps ask me when I tell them I have a military discount. ) they just click yes and move on. So this morning I expected to not need anything but my debit card on me, Cory asked me for my Military Id. I didn’t have it on me and explained that no one else asks me for it, so why was I being asked for it today. Fortunately I find out that Corey actually takes his job serious. So I got upset at him and explained that I’m used to never having it on me because I’m never asked for it at this location. So I got upset with him for him doing his job because other people aren’t. Corey was friendly and understanding but it was really sad knowing that he basically had a bad interaction with me because of other people not doing there job and actually asking for identification when they should be when applying discounts. Corey definitely deserves some recognition from the store manager at the very least. He made an upset customer happy and I will still continue to do business at this location.

Great staff, meh products and pricing

This Lowes is a good sized store like most home improvement chains. Clean, organized, and well stocked it will most likely provide you with what your looking for whether its a new appliance or a plumbing hose.

Ordered grill on 04.30.21 with a free grill build. Called them Saturday to see when the grill will be ready for pickup. They said it should be ready Tuesday. I waited till Thursday to call them to see if the grill is built and ready for pickup. They put me on hold and after 20 minutes somebody said that yes it is ready for pickup and they forgot to call me or notify via web. I drove 45 minutes one way to pick it up. I went in and waited for 20 minutes. The lady said that we are sorry but the gill is not assembled and it will take another 2 days to get it ready. I was very unhappy and took the grill without assembly as I am not gonna waste another 90 minutes driving back and forth. Thats my last purchase in that place. Very unprofessional service.

Fantastic shopping experience! You need to department I visited an associate greeted me and asked if I needed help within minutes. I got all my supplies quickly and the cashier who checked me out was named Haley and she was super friendly.

The head cashier Jess is horrible she has no respect for veterans and has a power trip for her job. Sad to see people with so little power let it go to there head

The store was Relatively empty. I stopped by customer service to ask where I could find what I was looking for and the young lady was very nice and friendly. She was off by one aisle when she directed me where to go (no big deal). I located an associate and not only did he take me to the correct aisle, but he helped me pick out the best sized item for my needs. He was very cordial and helpful. I was in and out in ten minutes. If I were left to my own devices, you would have had to send in a search and rescue team! Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Store had one cashier at around 5 pm tied up with a complicated problem with a customer. No one stepped in to open another cashier for quite a while.Very frustrating. Finally we spotted a worker walking by and advised her.After a continued wait someone came over and * bailed * us out.😫.Not a good experience?

Your typical Lowes. Located in a large plaza with plenty of parking and handicap accessibility. Public restrooms and water fountains are available. They offer a plethora of home improvement and garden items like its competitor Home Depot. The store is clean and well lite. The staff is pretty friendly, but isnt the most knowledgeable like the old timers that use to work there years ago. The prices are comparable to their competitors. They do offer free cutting of any lumber you purchase. Overall good store, but could do a little better with their prices.

I was there way too long trying to find an ax. or sledgehammer. After talking to 3 employees who can only only in the direction. Or gave me the wrong Isle #. A 4th employee asked if I was finding what I was looking for. I said absolutely not. I explained and he brought me right around the corner from where I was and there were axes and sledgehammers. Not many good selections but I found 1 kind with a word handle. Not at all a bad price just bad experience.

All these stores are kind of like cookie cutters what makes a difference is the staff I spoke to a young girl named Patrice in the flooring department she was amazing she knew the products. She offered her best advice and I have stopped in numerous times and asked for her assistance with other projects. A little unorthodox yes but she did not hesitate to help me always had a smile great disposition.

In many ways I like them better than Home depot simply because if you have a store credit card with them you get 5% off all purchases or 10% if you are a contractor. One can argue that they could just be more expensive than Depot by 5-10% but they are not. They try to keep their prices in line with the Home Depot in my area and the discount is what tips me into purchasing from them instead of buying from depot unless depot happens to be the only one that carries what I am looking for.

Not good customer service and will not stand behind what they sell. Purchased a shed in thier store. 1st delivered in broken boxes with parts missing and parts damaged. Called Lowes they tell me they can do nothing have to go thru maker of shed. Company sent me parts that were missing. Go to finally put it together and shed is 10 ft by 8 ft not 11x9 like they told me at Lowes and of course they cant do anything I have to go thru manufacturer yet Lowes are the porch ones advertising.

Refused a military discount which was signed up for a long time ago. Girl said you have to have your release papers. So a military retirement ID with a picture wasnt good enough for her to accept. Even after being told that proved more than 20 years of service. Home Depot would never do that.Never going back keep your 10 perecent discount. Lol it would have been 2 bucks.

Their appliances are not the best, particularly GE. While they obviously only sell the product, they dont stand by its quality. Im tired of buying pieces of junk that are expensive and only last a short time. Ill never buy another appliance of any kind from lowes.

Vast like an airport! You can construct a whole house with everything sold under this roof, down to the smallest details. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Power tools, snowblowers, potted trees and even Christmas lights. No detectable wi-fi, unfortunately. Self check-out is available, and parking is ample in Torrington Parkade, out front.

Went today to buy a stove. Great selection and found the perfect one. Richard, Timmy and Ahmed were all soo helpful in making my purchase a smooth and easy one. Excited to get my new appliance. Can’t wait as it will be delivered on the 13th of March. Will update as to how delivery and appliance goes.

Charged twice for an item that was over 25 dollars happened last year too. Didnt notice til I got home. Lesson learned. Still will shop here, but will pay closer attention when checking out in garden dept.

This store is always clean and well stocked..I travel.out of my way to go to this store for a few years now because of how helpful the staff is. Had blinds cut to a custom length and the associate was helpful and courteous.

Torrington Lowes is awsome. Associates actually come to you without you asking to see if you need help. They also know what there talking about and where something is located.

Multiple times, I have looked something up on the Lowes website and it says it is in stock at the store, but when I drive down, theres none actually in stock and no one can find any.. They need to fix their inventory or something; why even list how many you have online when its not even accurate?

Terrible experience trying to get carpet installed. Fifteen phone calls with lots of apologies and promises. Their installer-East Coast Flooring didnt bother returning my phone call. I waited three weeks after paying for it all and gave up.Am going with The Home Depot and expect a much better transaction.I asked for a discount and was told there was nothing even a manager could do.Have spent $9,000 at Lowes in the last six months and told multiple people-to no avail.

Friendlier than most home improvement places. Home Depot could learn from Lowes. Dont expect to use your phone here...terrible signal. Cant use smart pay, get texts, make calls, or look up anything while in store...which isnt their fault, but its good to know BEFORE you get in there and have to call home or job site for a measurement, clarification, etc!

Pricing was, and always is, good. My last 3 visits have been awful, long waits to be assisted if you can even hunt down someone to help you, very long waits to get them to bring out your purchases and staff who are at best indifferent. We were literally yelled at for asking if an appliance needed a dedicated 220 circuit or not. Lowes is fine, this store does NOT meet their otherwise high standards.

Very clean. Helpful staff. Social distancing and mask rules respected. Accurate stock and store is organized logically for items to easily be found. This store received a large number of generators when our city lost power for an extended storm outage, which really helped a large number of people in the community be able to cope with the situation.

Very clean no place and well organized. House keeping is A++. Took a little of time finding a person who could answer a question on lighting. Otherwise 5 Stars all the way and a much better place to shop than other big box lumber yards.

Twice we went to look at Carpet to purchase at Torrington Lowes. The first time there was a person there that didnt acknowledge us. We decided they must be busy we will come back another day. Second time not a person in sight. We hung around for about 20 minutes. There was another customer that had been there before us waiting at desk and no one showed up to help her either so we left. We have had such an excellent experience purchasing carpet from them in the past from purchase to install to quality very disappointed.

I needed one item. Went online got the location of the item before going inside. They had 9 in stock. All 9 were on the highest shelf by the ceiling. Nobody in plumbing. I can see the 9 boxes from the ground and if I wasnt in advanced stages of pregnancy I would probably go get a ladder from another aisle and get it myself. Asked the multiple employees in appliances for help they just stared at me. Explained I just need a box from up high, more blank stares. Pushed button for plumbing assistance waited 10 more minutes before finally flagging down an associate walking by. Really disappointing experience over all but was grateful to the guy who did help me especially as it wasnt his department.

October 1st and Christmas is in full swing. Check this store for them clearancing out tiles. Its random when they go on clearance but if you could buy a head of your project youll save a bundle.

I recently had to replace my washing machine as mine had died. I went to the Torrington, Ct Lowe’s where I purchased a washer and dryer along with the five year service plan. I also paid to have the old machines removed. I was told by the saleswoman that the washer would be in on August 14th and the dryer wouldn’t be in until the 21st. Since I needed the washer as soon as possible we determined that I would have them delivered separately. She told me that on the evening before I would receive a call telling me what time the delivery would be. I did not receive a call so I called the delivery number on my paperwork on the 14th. I was bounced around to four people. I was told that the delivery had been moved to October 2nd. When I stated I could not wait that long I was told “look ma’am we can’t deliver what we don’t have.” I asked to speak to a manager and was sent back to a salesman who asked me why I was speaking to him about a delivery. I explained that I was sent back to him. He then looked up the sale and informed me that the delivery would take place on October 2nd. I explained that I couldn’t wait that long and he said there was nothing he could do for me. I told him I would be in to see someone and he said “ be sure to ask for a manager” and hung up. My husband and I went to the store and spoke to a manager named Matt. He looked up the sale and said that there was a washer due to arrive on Tuesday the 18th and he would call me when he got the delivery set up for Wednesday the 19th. Again no call. So I called again and again was told that the washer would be delivered on October 2nd. Once again my husband and I went back to the store. As we are self employed and don’t close our business until 5:00 we were unable to get there until 6:45. We asked for a manager fully intending to cancel the order and go elsewhere. We were told that Matt had left at five o’clock. I said I wanted to speak to a manager NOW! They called and were told that Jim was on his dinner break. Again I stated I wanted to see a manager. He cane off his dinner break. I was so upset I was shaking. I apologized fir interrupting his dinner break and proceeded to explain the whole thing to him. He calmed me down and said he would check into everything for me. He told me it wasn’t worth making myself sick over and that he would have it resolved for me by the next day (Sunday). I asked him if he would be there the next day. He said it was his day off but it would be handled. On Monday I received a call that the washer was going to be here on Friday. On Thursday I got a call confirming the delivery and on Friday BOTH the washer and dryer were delivered. Much to my surprise this morning I received a call from Jim to make sure I got the washer and dryer and to make sure everything was ok with them and the delivery. He took a very bad experience and made me happy and a loyal Lowe’s customer. I hope you will recognize him for the great job he did. Thank you Jim!!

Too many customers pushing and cutting the lines to get attention from harried sales people. Lots of people trying to do their best, wearing masks in the heat, but some rude customers spoil it all. Couldnt get put of there fast enough.

Curbside pickup is very disappointing. They do not even answer their phone when you arrive . You hold a very long time and then get disconnected. U redial and it happens again. We tried this service on 2 different days and the service was the same. We finally called customer service and someone helped us. Try Home Depot instead. Very frustrating and time consuming.

Because it wont let me choose zero. They told me my order was ready. Torrington was the only store that had the block available that i wanted. It is a 45 minute ride. I got there they had 26 of the 30 I ordered and no one knew where the other 4 were.

Horrible delivery service. The delivery was late, the refrigerator was damaged and we are still trying to get it replaced. The range they delivered had the electrical cord installed incorrectly and had we not known better, we may have had to deal with a fire. What is really weird we didnt even pay for installation. My question, does this happen often to people who dont know the correct way to attach an electrical cord? Are there unsuspecting consumers out there who may face damages due to improper electrical attachment? Scary.

Really bad delivery experience. Called 2x to confirm the delivery address and they still got it wrong. Poor communication and could never get ahold of anyone in the delivery dept. Seems like nobody ever wanted to help. Will not be buying appliances here again.
