Paid 2500 for the problem to not go away and on top of that they did a simple oil change and over filled it. Luckily I caught the error and had another local ship drain it free of charge. Place is a rip off I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Been going here for repairs a while now for our 2 cars. The guys really know their stuff! Always quick, always professional and always take care of the customer above and beyond. Theres never a dull moment while youre there, the guys are a lively and informative bunch. They show and explain things so you know whats going on with with vehicle.

I took my car to Midas because my battery light came on. quoted at $450. I expressed concern over the amount.I was told to apply for the Midas credit card, did not get approved. The employee then told me I was approved for a different line of credit that was the same as a credit card. I specifically asked details about this line of credit and was told I am able to make payments of my choosing. After 90 days the balance would start to accrue interest. Later in the day told my car was due for maintenance. The new price was $1700. I got yet another call that they would give me a deal on the other set of struts total now $2500. I was told my car needed all these things right away and that it would not run properly without them so I agreed. I questioned the terms I received via email, told the amount would drop after a month.The ACTUAL financing they signed me up for requires I pay the $2600 in 100 days or have a new balance of $5000. With required payments every 2 weeks of $123. Very shady.

I would recommend this shop. I’ve been to other shops here in Torrington and they weren’t honest with the work. This is the first shop that took me out to my car and physically showed me what was going on, and what they were doing. I thought I was going to have to get rid of my car, and they fixed it with a 150$ part. I also had my aftermarket exhaust put on by them and it’s beautiful. I got to watch the whole process. I would 100% go here for anything. They are so fast too. They got my car right onto the lift and started asap. Also the guys there are hilarious, so if you need some positive energy, these guys will crack you up. Even when your stressing about your car 😂

Very informative and fair on pricing. Larry and Vinny were great with explaining what was needed to be repaired for my vehicle and were very honest as they personally took me into the shop and explained everything in detail about what should be serviced on my car. I did not feel pressured to fix everything and they even recommended what I will need in the future. I am confident now that I am driving in a safe car and will definitely be returning and referring all friends and family.

This place was AMAZING. Larry showed me the prob and brought it in right away even though it was a very long and tedious job. Thé price was very fare and all of the mechanics were extremely professional, Larry was so friendly and I would absolutely recommend this shop to everyone and, will definitely bring mine back when it needs something.

Brought car to the shop to have a bunch of parts replaced. Get charged almost $2,500 for parts and labor. Drive the car home and along the way the same issue occurs and had to get it towed back to their shop and waited 4 days for them to put new hoses onto the car. Southington location is the best out of these chain stores. Wont be going to torrington location again!

Scare tactics to do a brake job. My 53 year old aunt went to get an oil change, was told she was not allowed to leave because her rear brakes were dangerously low. I know they werent, looked at her inspection slip, they use green, yellow, red. Her brakes were marked yellow. I might add, you can barely read it. As a mechanic myself, I find this act truly sad. She will not be returning there anymore. Sad, very sad.

I was a little apprehensive at first but Im glad I chose Midas to do the work. Mechanic was very knowledgeable answer all of my questions even the silly ones to the best of his ability. They will get all of my future business hopefully will be none LOL

Got an oil change when they were running a great special! Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, informative, and professional. Very happy with Midas! UPDATE...I was told I needed new brakes and rotors as they did a once over on my car. They said I needed them done soon. Scheduled an appointment to get it done. In the interim, I checked in at my tire place and asked them to check my brakes. I trust them completely. They told me I had at least 60% wear left on my brakes! Obviously, I cancelled my appointment and heard that the guy who told me that no longer worked there.

Kept my car for 3 days when I was on vacation. Needed new brake master cylinder installed and also a cataylac converter and 02 sensers. Brakes not working properly and check engine light is back on. I work 2 jobs so I cant go back and leave my car there

Diagnosed and repaired my Jeep Patriot these guys were honest and professional. I do most of my own work but I have a back injury and didnt want to do it myself. Went with a friend to get her cars oil changed and not a single employee was wearing a mask or social distancing. there were 4 of them in the lobby behind the desk. when we came back to get the car, there were 2 employees (no masks) and 4 customers (only 1 wearing a mask.) absolutely no enforcing of mask wearing during a pandemic. very disappointing and negligent.

Went in for oil change. Told me they do a courtesy check and that I needed another $600 worth of work (and they just so happened to have time right now to do it!!). Brought car to a friend and 2 other professional mechanics, none of what they said I needed was true!! This is most only illegal but I will never go back to them again!!

My car broke down the previous night and was towed to a hotel in Torrington so it could be fixed at a Volvo service center. In the morning we found out that the Volvo service center was no longer in business. We called Midas and they quickly made us feel at ease by telling us they could fix my car and would work on it right away. We were far from home and eager to get back on the road. At first we thought it was an ABS brake issue due to the prompt on our dashboard. Come to find out it was the alternator. Midas found the new part and quickly put it in. The battery also needed to be replaced. They also helped us with a few lighting issues that needed attention as well. The Midas staff was friendly, courteous, skilled and came through for us as promised. They gave us several updates during the repair process as well and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend them.

These guys were amazing! My cars battery died while I was in Staples, across the parking lot from Midas. I walked over and asked if they could help. They walked over, jumped my car, and then drove it right in to fix. I was back on the road in less than an hour. I am so grateful to them. What could have been a huge hassle ended up just being a tiny blip on my day. I have told everyone how great they were. Thanks again!

I come here for oil changes. I have since learned they provide all sorts of other auto repair services. Because my experience has been positive with the oil change crew, I will also try them when I have a repair or other service need.

Work well done, and not a rip off (they told us that our brakes really didnt need replacing and so didnt do it). The manager remembered our names when we walked in later on. They kept us posted via phone calls, etc. I cant say enough about how pleased we were!

Honest and Professional! Ive been coming to Midas since 2010, Craig & Ralph are the best! One of our cars is a 99 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I bought it with 40,000 miles and now its just under 182,000. I hate when something goes wrong with our vehicles but knowing that I can at least bring them to the mechanics here makes it less painful. I plan on keeping my Jeep well over 350,000 miles. They keep it running smooth!

Alex did a fantastic job of tracking down a noise in my truck. Several things showed up as potential candidates, but he kept going until he found and fixed the root cause.Torrington Midas always does a great job, and it is because of people like Alex.

The Torrington Midas location on S. Main St. have very professional and courteous People every customer is given ample time to go over the bill and ask questions . Because of their high quality of service my husband and I keep returning to this location . Truly five star work .

Ive used this Midas many times over the years. The people there are always professional, courteous and personable. I went in for brake repair and expected a $900 bill, but they did it for under $700 tax included! Also, my drivers side door had a loud squeak when I dropped it off, and that squeak is gone. Im not saying you should expect service like that, but its a nice surprise when they take a couple extra minutes to address something theyre not even charging you for. Its little things like that which will keep me returning whenever I have car troubles.

I came in for a headlight, I own a Chevy Malibu 09 and let’s just say the car itself is a nightmare, but the guys here were so great! I got a couple of different quotes around town ranging from $200-$250 because they had to take the bumper off completely, but these guys are GODD! They took half the time, I did not have an appointment, and they only charged me $50.00. PLUS THEY DIDNT REMOVE MY BUMPER. Ralph was very good, friendly and straight forward. I definitely recommend! He made sure I left here with what I needed. Great atmosphere Craig here is very funny and makes you feel at home.

This place is a bunch of con artists. Charged me 480 to do my brakes. 5 months later brakes started to go bad again. I was supposed to have life long brake changes. They charged me another 400 saying there was something wrong with the car that caused the brakes to go bad. It has been 3 months since then and now the back brakes are going. I called and they said they never ever did the back brakes. Thats a lie. Do not go there unless you have deep pockets.

I took my truck in on a Saturday morning. I needed brake work and the part that needed to be replaced was on back-order. The manager spent almost 3 hours calling places and waiting on callbacks to try to get the part. He offered to help arrange a rental car as it would not get fixed that day and I had no other transportation.On Monday he called to tell me that he had found the part and would have the truck ready that day. I got to the shop earlier than he said and waited as they finished the job and handled several other customers. The care and attention I got was not unique - they treated every customer as if they were the most important person in the shop.I have been there twice and will stay with them as long as I am in the area.

They Suck, Have Young Inexperienced workers who Break things and dont own up to it!! Then want to charge you $400 the truck is in worse shape than when I brought it in!! They kept my vehicle for 5 Days!! Didnt want to give it back to me unless I paid them said $400 . My truck almost didnt start right in their parking lot.
