I go to school and I don’t have enough time in my day to go workout, Planet fitness has come in clutch, they are open 24/7 letting me workout at anytime I like weather it’s late in the night or early morning before school. I like that they have mostly everything you could find in any other gym with the exception of the pool, but the low affordable price makes up for that. Overall, they have a friendly staff who are willing to work and help you out.

PF is a great gym, until you try to cancel. I havent used my membership in nearly 2 years. Ive moved an hour away since, so coming back in person to cancel is not practical for such a simple thing. The only other option, send a letter. You cannot cancel online. You can update your contact and payment info, but cant cancel. Really!? Last time I had this much trouble cancelling was when I had a pager from Metrocall back in the 90s. The customer service representative at my bank is very familiar with Planet Fitness and indicated she has personally handled numerous calls about their customers having issues with ending their PF membership. Im sure all these people are glad you have protected them from any mistakes in ending their membership. Yes, I had to pay a one time $30 fee to stop the monthly billing from you. The peace of mind is worth so much more! Its sad that businesses resort to these tactics to keep their income stream. I spoke so highly of PF while a member and recommended it to many people as its a great value. The way you treated me at the conclusion of my business with you is just plain wrong. I hope my review serves as a warning to others who may choose to join Planet Fitness.

Wow! 24/7 gym, Incredibly incredibly impressed by this gym. ✨🌟Very clean ✨🌟! Fresh, new, MODERN equipment and lots of airy space. For $10/month, it’s a really shocking value. I’ve been to lots of gyms - UFC, YMCA, Lifetime Fitness, LVAC, and military ones all over the world. This one is comparable to Las Vegas’ LVAC. Extremely impressive price considering it’s located in SoCal, a bargain for the quality.

Did a try out here. Loved the vibe of the place. Also, very complete and up to date in terms of equipment. Liked the 30 minute workout proposition. Not sure it’s recommended to go over all those different kind of exercises in only half an hour, but q great way to keep motivation high.

The equipment and layout is great. Unfortunately management is a joke. They pick and choose when to enforce rules. Also, there’s a county mask mandate- workers not wearing masks go around telling clients to pull their masks over their noses. The irony.

Let me just say…. Their massage chairs stink! Kevin was great though, convenient gym but not the best.

The locations in Torrance CA and Hawthorne CA have Friendly staff, its never crowded, theyre open 24hrs. and its always clean! Cant ask for anything more! Happy shedding!! 🥇💪🏾

Im from a different state, and the city where I live the gym closes at 11pm due to covid-19. However, in my state we dont have to wear masks. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this gym is open twenty-four hours, BUT, you do have to wear a mask which was kinda annoying. No big deal. Also, this gym has equipment that my home gym does not have. It was a fun experience overall.

Love this gym, they keep it super clean and very friendly staff, I go to Torrance location on hawthorn and the manager there is super nice, the trainer is super knowledgeable and very friendly, love this place!

Not very helpful staff, sadly. Also, Very crowded. I do wish they structured the machines and free weights in a way that flows with rectangular shape of the space they have...there are many ways to reorganize the sections every planet fitness has and Ive seen it done better in the San Deigo and Denver locations. Maybe they can do it sometime.

You need to add another line of bench press(for chest). Everytime I come even during least busy times they are always taken. Add couple of those please. Tnx.

Parking has changed in a bad way... security is acting like cops writing a warning ticket 2 times while Im working out no body in the back parking lot I mean 120 spots me and 2 others in farthest corner my RV is legal but I guess planet fitness is the onlygym that wants no one there

Laid back place to life, usually not too crowded. People and staff bith friendly. For the price I definitely recommend giving it a try!!

Charged my account without a notice that the gym was open again. I expect a notice in advance otherwise how would I know the gym is open after being closed for the past year? Extremely disappointed that they charged my account without any notice and even more upset that they are avoiding my calls and hanging up on me (screenshot below).Don’t go to this gym, terrible customer service. There is a new 24hourfitness down the street that opened last year.

I was charged finally after Covid. So I called to cancel my membership and I got Joshua who was very rude about the situation. His tone of voice wasn’t welcoming whatsoever. I really hope they have more happier people working there.

This was my first time going to this location and 6am on Sunday has NO crowds of people.

Started getting charged again after Covid. called to cancel and was told i have to show up in person or send a certified letter to cancel. Completely ridiculous and slimy way to keep charging people.

Horrible for Planet Fitness in Torrance to charge my account for payment. This place is stealing money from your account !! Beware !!Update. Spoke with the local Planet Fitness, they finally cancelled my account and said they would return my $$. However, still nothing returned in my account. The guy who answered the phone said, “ we have lots of people who have been calling with similar issues ”. Still waiting on my refund

Not too crowded.

Like the gym and the staff has been nice. Problems are that they close early now, are very busy from 8-10, and way too many people not wearing face coverings. If they cant handle a mask, maybe they could use a face shield. But I dont feel comfortable working out around so many unprotected people. Seldom feel like going anymore. Dont let what happened in West Virginia happen here, please. Maybe have separate sides of the gym, for covered and non covered or enforce the rule better. Make your own face shield with your logo on them and sell them.

The staff is always friendly & helpful. It is very clean and the machines all appear to be well maintained. The trainer Don is awesome. I love being able to pop my ear pods in, hop on the treadmill or elliptical and watch netflix. It is fantastic! Best fitness experience in a cool minute.

This is an awesome gym if I was more consistent Im sure I would lose the three inches off my waist that Im complaining about

The staff here is the best. Garrett the assistant manager makes this place #1 for me. Angel has been a great addition too. They keep the place clean and are willing to always accommodate and help whenever possible. Great staff!!!!!

It is open 24 hours. The staff is very helpful. Very close to my home. The equipments are well maintained. Even during peak hours I feel good as it is a huge facility.

Great place to have a good work out. The Planet Fitness Team is amazing. I enjoy coming to this location.

Check in is easy. Its easy to bring a friend. Though it gets busy, there is always something available.

The staff is amazing the only issue is the equipment doesnt get heavy enough being that Ive been to a lot of different Planet Fitness is they are very inconsistent with their weights if they could just up the weights on some of the machines I would give it a perfect five

Good selection of cardio and weight machines. Not really any classes or other frills, just a simple place to work out. They do have a good 30 minute circuit fitness area.

Covid 19 response is weak and pathetic. They actually removed one of their cleaning stations that was in the middle of cardio section. Quickly ran out of paper towels. Not the understaffed workers fault but bad management. NO WIFI, SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS! MANAGEMENT HAS THEIR HEAD UP THEIR YOU KNOW WHAT! LEARN TO RUN A PROPER BUSINESS! THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE!!! YOU WILL CATCH A DISEASE HERE. OLD PEOPLE BE WARNED!!! Seek gym membership elsewhere.

Poor service and toilets are still broken since my last visit weeks ago! Plus the cleaning supplies are empty making the equipment undoubtedly dirty. I don’t know how anyone can rate this gym well. It’s very poor.

Clean. Friendly. Adequately equipped. Patrons tend to hoard dumbbells, against gym rules while doesnt reinforce. Otherwise decent PF in LA.

Its great for me. Easy to maintain my account. Its beyond reasonable for your 10 bucks a month. Way worth it.

It use to be nice, but they let the homeless come in and shower. I cannot go behind them to shower. Im sorry I mean no harm.

I like that it is clean, plenty of equipment, and I can get in and out FAST! Suggestions? i would like to see more classes in the afternoon/evening and weekends. It helps to have a trainer pushing me past my comfort zone!

The gym is great. Staff is helpful for the most part. My only complaint is that when I initially joined the front desk attendant Terrance handed me an iPad and said Here fill this out without any explanation of member dues, money down benefits of regular membership vs. black card membership etc. My friend who is also a black card member filled every thing out for me and we were done in about 5 minutes which was easy but I had no idea about the $30 yearly dues or any of the benefits. Also my friend got fun things like a t-shirt and a water bottle, I got and email saying I owed more money. So that is my only critique, no matter how busy the staff is (on this particular morning he was the only one at the counter, not his fault he couldnt devote all his attention to me) or how early it is (I work out from 430-600 am typically. I get it...TOO EARLY) a little more explanation regarding the ins-outs of joining this particular gym would be helpful. That and keep the pigeons and the bugs out. This particular location seems to have a roach issue (I have already killed two in the last 3 weeks which were by the yoga mats). One employee said Are you sure it is a cockroach and not a water bug??? I opened the paper towel and said what does this look like, and he jumped back and told me he would let the manager know .

Love the environment and staff there, (frank) very helpful and willing to give some tips/advice if needed. I like the fact no one judges you and your able to workout comfortable. Keep it up will recommend my friends to frank and location

Was skeptical to join this gym because I was not sure what to think. It is wonderful! If you are new to the whole gym community or are just looking for a more affordable option this place is great! They have all the equipment you would need and offer so much with both types of memberships.

Ive have a wonderful time coming to this gym, until coming to workout after midnight. My billing issue has apparently made me a target of a staff member who not only yells, I cant let you in very loudly three times in this JugdeFree zone, but last night took her rudeness to another level, while in front of another employee, who told her to take 15min break, but looks at me to ensure I dont get in.Look, retrain her in better customer services because she does not fit the Planet fitness code of a true judge free zone.Seriously, Ive never been so embarrassed and she truly needs to apologize for talking to me in the manner that she did. Unprofessional and just surly. Management will be getting a formal complaint.

We come here 4 to 5 times a week mostly. Employees are really nice, the gym and machines are well kept. It gets crowded sometimes during the hours I am available to go which makes sense since its rush hour but thats the only real downside. Membership costs are great of course.

People complain about it being too packed, yeah if you go at peak hours from about 4 to 8 pm (post work hours). Try going at 2am and its fantastic. Such a great place for the price and this location is so much better than most other ones and Ive been to many others. Its a good size and very well kept. Its my new regular place.

I like this gym very much. Great prices. Nice employees. Nice customers. Good basic equipment. I have only one problem, but it is a big one. The texting on the weight machines is completely out of control! You can see situations that are so absurd they look like episodes of Candid Camera. People are sitting on machines, taking them out of action for long periods of time, and doing nothing but reading texts or reading Lord knows what! Why not enforce the following policy? Text all you want, as long as you get off the weight machine first!

I signed up for the black card membership for 22.99 per month. The benefits include: bringing 1 person anytime, access to all centers, 50% off Gatorade and water, hydro massage and chair, 20% off Reeboks products and tanning machine, and much more. Most of the centers are large with plenty of machines, lockers, and showers.

UNSAFE! No temperature checks when arriving. Understaffed. No cleaning of equipment. No Free Wifi. STAW AWAY WILL CATCH DISEASE HERE. OR FIND DIFFERENT LOCATION

I just requested a temporary pass to try this gym and was told they do not give free passes. I have never been to a gym that did not allow free passes, I have to ask, what are they hiding. Although they did offer a $20 24 hour pass but no thanks. There are plenty of other gyms out there. After reading this management responded and said a one day pass is available on the website, however the desk person I spoke to yesterday did not tell me that a 1 day free pass was available. So I went over to the new 24 hour fitness on Del Amo Blvd. and they graciously provided me with a free 7 day pass and a complete tour. If I was management at Planet Fitness, I would fire the desk person that was working there yesterday, for incredibly poor customer service.

Great Gym. Very clean and organized. They got all the equipment necessary and more for a good workout . No Bull with their fees.

Its ok for what it is. Nice that you can bring a friend for free. But I cant get behind the idea of a gym that serves pizza but doesnt have a scale. Most people go to the gym to get healthy and in shape, keeping track of your weight plays a big factor in that.

I love the staff there. Since I visit regularly we could exchange warmer greetings. The place is spacious with mostly cardio machines.

Just went in to get my tour since I joined online. Mickey was very helpful from the moment I stepped foot inside. Very professional and informative. Clean gym and ambiance is awesome. Just wish the had a Planet Fitness here in Gardena.

A good and clean gym always have equipment available and the staff is always cleaning and organizing. I always come really early which is the best time in my view. Great Gym!

Always close parking unlike other gyms. In expensuve. Very clean friendly staff. You can fill water bottle free with filtered water. Also free bagels and puzza once a month!. There are always available machines.

Planet fitness is a medium sized gym with good prices for memberships. Machines are clean and employees clean the empty ones during the day. sometimes its full, sometimes its not. But a good place to workout!

The ladies locker room is always clean, and the workout equipment is well-maintained. In addition, the employees are always pleasant.

Gyms are competitive nowadays. This place does not offer WiFi ... gas stations offer WiFi ... everyone has WiFi ... they have WiFi but its only for staff. Then if you want to cancel they play this game that you can only cancel in person ... I got called out of town on business ... and now they tell me I cant cancel the membership unless a friend of mine goes in and cancels it for me. That has to be the dumbest policy designed to manipulate your credit card into paying them Ive even heard of. Take a look at your options before signing up here, I wish I had.

Their billing is a circus.My bank paused transactions for two days as a security measure. When I fixed it, Planet Fitness was the only one that refused to use the same card.I had to actually go through the process of getting a completely new card only because of Planet Fitness due to this stupidity.This all happened right before I am in the middle of a major move, now they dont take new card info over the phone, all the while I have been accruing late fees.

This Planet Fitness is always well kept and maintained. Staff is attentive and polite and the gym is not as crowded as some other places can get. Very convenient if you have things to do in the mall but need to work out afterwards. I often visit my barber and fine mens salon but workout right before which is very time-saving.Prices are always right and features such as guest passes and the ability to work with a physical trainer by appointment is without question a great caveat.

(1) Cost effective (Less than a dollar a day)(2) Serves my purpose to have effective strength training workouts(3) Love having a pre-workout Hydro-Massage(4) Actually like the environment, no judgement zone :)(5) PF is all over LA, so i can workout anywhere at anytime!

Ok, so first of all, the locker rooms and gym are very clean. Like, Im not afraid to shower there or anything. The bathrooms are always in working order and clean-- which wasnt the case at my last gym just down the street from there. Then, I see employees regularly wiping down machines that werent wiped down by members. Thats awesome! Speaking of machines, the machines are very good quality and user friendly; and they have little jacks for your headphones if you want to tune into one of the shows on their (also very nice) TVs. As if that werent amazing already, theres a bucket of tootsie rolls at the front desk. Lastly, the staff there is kind, thoughtful, and friendly. Thanks, PF!

We are visiting this location from out of town (we live in Denver) and we are SO impressed by the level of customer service. Chris went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Super cheap/affordable and completely empty on weekends. Dont have to wait for machines like other gyms. A bit crowded on weekdays though.

Some people thinking there strong like in any gym. Its 24/7 great staff and really quiet. Worth the $.

Cheap gym membership starting at $10 / month. A pretty good deal considering they have the basic equipment for cardio and strength training. The gym lives on its theme of an intimidation free workout environment. A good gym for beginners. Not the most high end but relatively clean. Locker rooms feel cleaner than many 24 hour fitness that Ive been to. Overall, a good deal for $10/month.

Best place to walk your dog, I took Mr.Macey here for a walk last weekend and honestly had so much fun, he enjoys watching people in agony when they are working out, he can smell the stress haha! For sure coming back next week for another round !

Great facility. Gets crowded in the evenings. Late night and early mornings are the sweet spot. Parking is never an issue. Theres a place in both front and back.

Judgement free zone...tell that to the employees!!!! I used to love this place but the staff has changed for the worse. This one female worker just stands there watching me run and talking about me and my gym clothes. I can literally hear her and another working talking about me. This has happened multiple times. I hate gyms like this.
