RUDE!!! First time going to rent a truck and possibly using them to move my mother and the male at the counter was just nasty.. does NOT know how to talk to people. Not helpful at all. Go somewhere else.

I rented a U-Haul truck on the 24 hour pick up.My reservation was for 7 o’clock and the store closes at 7 o’clock.I showed up at 6:59 and I saw in the store and they were two employees. So I knocked on the door to ask them if they could please help me just to show me where my truck is located. And I also ordered three utility dollies and wanted to know where to pick them up.They looked at me and then just continue talking to each other ignoring me as if I was not there.I find it really disrespectful and not professional.But the truck that I rented was perfectly clean and worked perfectly so two stars for that.

The people at this facility are top notch. I had to cancel my parking unit due to health reasons. Brandy took excellent care of our issue. The car I get was brand new cargo van but I think all uhal cars are in good shape kamila one of the works is quick and to the point for all information you needThe problem is it advertise that you can rent a truck for around $20 when I payed $119 just for a hundred miles then 0.49 for each mile that pretty expensiveThey should at least not ad on the cars and try to put down the $119Other wise everything is Excellent

I needed a trailer hitch and being a DYI kind of guy I looked on the web at hitch manufacturers. After entering the make and model of the car I got the options but there was a little asterisk that said not for dual tailpipes. I knew I was headed for disaster so I went to U-Haul and Bob looked under the car instantly said he could do it, called me when a better appointment time opened up, in and out on time, invited me in the shop to verify the lights worked correctly. The only thing he didnt do was explain to my wife I put the hitch on her car.

Ive rented several uhauls over the last 10 years from different locations. This store is by far the best. The location and process is very easy and smooth. The best part is the staff and manger who are amazing, Brandie in particular was incredibly nice and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend renting from here even if you have to pay/drive more.

Great family owned place the owner happened to stop by and wasnt even working and really went above and beyond to help me out. Alexis was the only one there at first and so calmly helped so many people. Thankyou so much Alexis and her super helpful dad Phil who came down from east Brunswick to help me.

VERY disappointing.. 1 star only for the mere fact that I was able to get a quote and make an appt for installation of a trailer hitch online without much difficulty. The installation was performed while I waited in the office. I should have been keenly aware of possible issues when the mechanic had to call another mechanic to figure out how to properly lower my spare tire for access to do the work, was using a work light to see under the truck that continuously flickered, and I heard several minutes of intense banging and hammering in the garage. Needless to say after the work was completed and I was driving the truck I noticed that one of my tailpipes was knocked off the muffler and was hanging loosely by a small clamp. When I brought it back to the office look at it, the mechanic basically dismissed it by saying he didn’t even need to go near the muffler (but definitely close to the tailpipe) and would not even consider the fact his hammering might have knocked it loose. Upon leaving the first time I was asked to spread the good word of the service bc they were trying to grow that part of the business. Don’t count on a recommendation from me. Again VERY disappointing!!!

Tried over charging me by about $100 by saying that I put 20+ more miles on the truck than I actually did (thankfully I took a picture of the milage) and also did not have at least 1/2 tank of gas in the truck when I received it (when getting the truck you are told to full the truck back up to half a tank before you return it). My credit card was charged the total price twice and over several days and several attempts to speak to someone to have it resolved, my phone calls and requests have not been responded to.

Had a reservation and I got there they had no truck for me

Had a front and rear tow hitch installed on my brand new Ram. I was a bit worried about the front being chopped up to fit the hitch but they fit it to the truck without a scratch, what a great job they did. The shop is clean and the people extremely professional. I wont hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks again.

Found mice (a lot) in unit in my stuff was told there was nothing more they can do, they are aware of the problem they said its from the construction around. Very nice and friendly staff but mice have taken over and ruined some of my belongings and I dont even want to bring my stuff home now. So I will probably be paying someone to throw it all away after paying to store it there for almost 2years. Love the staff have never had a problem at all, only reason not 5 stars is the mice.

There is a discrepancy over the milage. We were charged for 63 miles but did about 33 miles. . We made 2 roundtrips between Brick and Toms River which would equal 20 miles then dropped off the truck at 2180 Route 9 Lakewood NJ which is another 6.3 miles which is rounded out to about 33 miles total. Plus we have gas receipts which disputes us putting that amount of mileage on. Also when I talked to Joe when we returned the truck, he said it did sound weird and Shay probably put in wrong mileage in the beginning. Why do you not have people inital the paper when the person at the desk gives you the paper with supposed mileage on it. Plus Shay never told us about a text message. We never received one and the first time we heard about it was when Joe asked us if we received one. I have used Uhaul in many locations in the past few years and I never had this experience ever and Brandy the manager needs to make this right otherwise I will have to tell everyone I know especially the media that they try to get over on people with the mileage....wow a new low

Uhaul itself was very helpful and courteous. They even stayed opened a few minutes longer when we went to pick the truck up. Dropping off the truck we also didnt have any problems.However the movers they recommended which was Harold Movers, had no knowledge as to packing a truck, using blankets to cover furniture, handle fragile boxes. They came into my home started grabbing boxes and furniture and shoving it into the truck. When unloading the trucks they were not careful at all and even though I told them which room the boxes were to go in, it didnt happen.My advice to Harolds Moving company is to give classes to your movers the proper way of packing a truck, how to handle boxes clearly marked fragile and how to cover and wrap furniture.

They dont have a clue! 2 different people call to confirm UBox delivery and they didnt.put it into the computer. Outstanding! No one knows what there doing!

I have used this uhaul more times then I can count to the point I know by heart how much the car dolly and car trailer with insurance costs. I always come to this location due to them ALWAYS having what I need to rent in stock and THE BEST customer service I have ever received! Highly recommend if you need a storage unit or rent any type of uhaul equipment this is the store to go to!
