What a scam Enterprise is! When calling they will tell you they have cars available and in our situation we were told they had new cars that had never been driven. When we went to pickup our rental there were no cars available and we were told that a car would be brought from another location. After waiting 45 minutes we were given a Nissan Rogue which was dirty, has a mechanical problem (engine light is on) and has horrible road noise when its driven. The employees at the location where we rented were very professional but admitted there were no cars available and it is obvious to us that the vehicle we were given was not ready to be rented.
When I got to enterprise I was supposed to get a pick up truck since mine was in the shop one of the representatives recommended a Nissan Altima had plenty a room it was great running car thank you for the help!
Outstanding customer service! We were in and out in 5 minutes. I’m just a little mad our car had some major flaw when starting the car . Of course it would happen sporadically, so when we left the place we didn’t find out until we were 70 miles out when the car wouldn’t start. We were one minute away from calling a tow truck because the car wouldn’t start even when the battery had no issues. Luckily for us, my friend that was riding with me was a mechanic so he was able to figure out how to start it again. This could have been prevented by checking the cars after getting them back.
I had a reservation at least a month or more ahead of the date I needed the car. I also called days prior to my pick-up to confirm my reservation, I even asked what would happen if they didn’t have the vehicle I requested. The woman on the line said don’t worry, I have plenty! Plenty she did not. I arrived on the date of reservation just for her to tell me I was out of luck, she even called around... I suggested a few more places and she called them. Found me a car, but did not disclose any additional information, that it would be WAY more expensive and not unlimited mileage. Started my trip off on the wrong foot here.
I needed the vehicle for two days. Due to policies they are closed on Sundays, so youre forced to rent for an extra day?... Really. Drop box??? I would like answers please.
The manager, Justine, is top notch. I had a problem with my bill and she was reactive and responsive. Got it fixed within the hour.

Great people who were willing to help out. The car was clean and the perfect size for what I needed it for. It’s very convenient that it’s located right next door to Caliber (body shop) so while my car was being fixed, I just had to walk across the parking lot to get my rental. Highly recommend. The staff and manager TJ were great!
I rented a Nissan Rogue from Enterprise Rt 37 Toms River, staff was excellent in giving me all my options, I rented suv for 1 week, upon the day to bring it back I called and asked for another week, staff was immediately on top of my situation. Car was clean, smelled great... cheap price, unlimited miles.. would recommend to anyone... Thank You so much

VERY LONG WAIT, once I got to the Toms River location with my reservation TJ the manager tried to lie and tell me they didnt have any mini vans at the time, which they did!!Dropping off there was a small dig on the passanger side bumper they took 500$ off my credit card and said the damage would be evaluated and I would recieve an invoice. I waited and waited, come to find out they rented out the van the same day I dropped it off, never had the damage estimated I called TJ about my issue (they still have my money at this point) and he said it was in the shop! I called the shop and they never even saw the van ! I then went above TJ to his m manager Melissa Potter, she told me she would have the problem resolved never once apologizing for TJ lying about having the van in the shop. I gave Melissa a week to get back to me she never did calling her he response was how did you get this number (wow unbelievable) . Talked to her again about the issue and she again said she would get back to me now weeks have pasted and she still hasnt call me !!! I then took in upon myself to get her managers name Adam Parker . I have been trying to get in contact with him for over 2 weeks NO response. VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL

My last experience was BEYOND TERRIBLE! I am an Enterprise Plus Platinum Member. We booked a vehicle for a recent trip to visit family using earned points. Upon arrival we were told we were not able to use those points and would have to pay $800 plus for our rental. The explanation was no more points could be used to rent that day. BUT we booked our rental with points and it was to cost us $0. No one could give us answers at the store, we called Customer Service which told us to contact our local store (who couldnt give us answers), we called Enterprise Plus who directed us to re-do our rental online, but they could not guarantee the vehicle sitting in front of us would still be available. When trying to book online as told to do so, rentals could not be with in 24 hours. We were there to pick up our rental.Long story and 1.5 hours later, we paid $800 plus for a rental we reserved and was to cost us $0. WHY? We had to get on the road for a 5 hour trip to be with family for my nephews wedding. We needed a larger vehicle for this trip, which is why we HAD to rent a vehicle.If you know anything about the points for rentals, I have over 14,000 points. Which means we give Enterprise ALOT of business.Denying a rental with points that was BOOKED WITH POINTS and was to be $0, $800 with loss of income during COVID is not fair. The whole experience was beyond stressful, frustrating and impacted our trip in many ways. Truly disappointed in a company I have used faithfully.Toms River, NJ
Awesome service! He helped me with the car when I picked up and dropped off, it was seemlesd. The rental car had a stale smoke smell but it served its purpose. Overall great experience.
I rented a car this past weekend to drive to Newport, RI. The car I was given was filled with cigarette smoke smell, and the agent said he would get me another car. 35 minutes later, he gave us a second vehicle. He did not tell me that he had to clean it first. The indoor windows were not clean at all. I paid for a car with a full tank of gas. The car he gave us had 1/4 tank. I had to call the office and inform them that the car only had a quarter tank full. We were already leaving later than planned, and now we had to stop to get gas. The delays caused us to miss the event we were going to and ruined our plans.I called on Monday after returning the car to speak with the agent who worked with us. He said he could not do anything because the case was processed. He asked me if I would rent a car in the future. I said I wasn’t sure, and he said he would email me a voucher for a free weekend rental. I said that would be wonderful and never received that email. I called back again to give him another chance to make things right. Another agent said he would be sure to have him send the email to me for all of my inconvenience. It’s been a week now, and no response, no email, no call back, no weekend voucher. I gave Enterprise many chances to make the situation right again, but now I am forced to write this honest review. Thank you
I should probably give four stars, but the wait time on the phone this time was prohibitive!Enterprise is the only company I use because of its reasonableness rates and, excellent service. I suggest that they hire more staff at each facility. There were times when several of us were in the office and there was no one behind the counter! My rating has to do with todays experience, exclusively!

Sent to a closed location, missed pick up, agent behind counter more interested in making dinner plans then renting a car. Net result 3 hour delay in getting on the road and missing my appointment. Never renting from Enterprise again!
This was such a colossal waste of my time. We reserved a rental from one town to the next. Only to get there and still had an hour wait for the vehicle that they said was going to be ready 3 hours ago. Service is terrible, they all lie as well. One rep said she was going up the road for the truck that was getting an oil change and 45 minutes later she still wasnt back. I hope to never have to use Enterprise again. I wish I could not leave any stars on here.

Not a good experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have 3 cars and 2 of them got hit in the same week. So naturally I needed 2 rental cars. Well I got one from a different location then called the insurance to make the reservation for the 2nd rental car at this location. Well I drop my car off for repairs and get someone to take me to get the rental car and they wont give it to me because there was already a rental car out in my name. So over 2 days of making the reservation not one person saw that there was already a car in my name. Because you know a family cant have more then 1 car at home. The guy told us we want to have your business but wont rent a car to you. Ok? That doesnt sound like you want my business. So other then these problems I had to wait about an hour just to talk to someone in the building. End of story I walked out with no rental car and no car period because people cant do their jobs. Terrible. Dont go here.

I realize companies have policies to protect themselves (and consumers?) but I have tried renting vehicles from them twice. The girls (except one) are crass, and have no empathy. My issue was moving and I brought in 2 bills plus a pay stub to prove its me - per policy. My license wasnt updated to my mailing address and I could not rent anything. I hadnt changed my address for utilities but they did it automatically. Even with plenty of ID I couldnt not rent anything. I could have accepted this better if the employees were not smirking and the manager giggling. A little bit of empathy would have been helpful. One employee was good at customer service the the others are so bad Ill be renting from other places.
I have rented cars in the past thru Enterprise and always had the best service! The staff in both places Ive rented from are the best!! Never a problem!!

Fleet customer taken for a ride. Management charged 72 dollars for fuel, when I brought back the vehicle with the exact amount that I rented it with. Shady manager trainee’s trying to pad there numbers at my expense. Beware
Waited a bit longer than I wanted to because they kept saying they had a car and then they didnt. And one car needed an oil change and the other needed service. So it was about a 45 minute wait to get a car that I preordered too.

We rented a car for the week Monday to Monday as our car was getting fixed. The only downfall was they close at 12 on Saturday and theyre not open on Sunday we got there a little bit after the doors were locked so we werent able to get refunded for Saturday and Sunday which was a little disappointed I wish I would have known that they said we could drop the car off and get refunded money if we didnt need it for the whole week but I didnt realize did they close early on Saturday morning open on Sunday so if you rent just keep that in mind other than that staff please helpful and they got us a car when we needed it
Ive been a steady renter from Enterprise and usually have a great experience. My last rental didnt go as planned with a major mechanical issue that could have been prevented. However, the manger at the Toms River location went above and beyond to correct the issue and keep me as a loyal customer. I will continue my business with Enterprise.

Service was excellent! Staff was excellent too! Car was a Toyota Camry which I enjoyed driving. Except for the fact it was loaded with air fresheners. In every vent as well as under the seats. It was like they were trying to mask some other smell!!!! Cigarette smoke maybe?

Renter BEWARE!! Read any and ALL fine print before signing anything!!! Long story short, I was involved in an accident that wasnt my fault and the other persons insurance paid for everything. I dealt with Vanessa, the assistant manager. I feel I was conned; I was asked to put down a 250$ deposit, I said for what and was told I would be GETTING IT BACK when I returned the car. We agreed on a 50.00 dollar deposit, I denied any additional coverage being that the other drivers insurance was paying for everything. I signed what I was made to understand was just the standard contract. I was told, by Vanessa, I would be getting my deposit back. It was not to be; I returned the car today and was charged another 113.00 (which I declined to pay.) Their explanation was that I signed the agreement and there was nothing they could do. I feel completely conned. I disputed the charge and cancelled my debit card immediately. I am seeking legal counsel to see if theres anything I can do.

On the phone with Enterprise for 45 minutes, started out fine, that is until I called the local shop to confirm me pick up. Ended up speaking with 8 different people on 8 separate calls or transfers. What a Cluster !!!k....Never got a car. Stranded.Enterprise, Well pick you up.(If we feel like it)....Enterprise, were family owned(Dysfunctional family).Not Good!!Sadly a reason to go Corporate Owned.

We have needed to rent a vehicle for several months. After using the services of AAA, with their Hertz affiliation, we found our debit bank card was not good enough for Hertz. But the manager of the local AAA suggested Enterprise which was also nearby. Not only did they accommodate us for a much lower price, they accepted our means of payment. We are very satisfied customers now and likely wont ever need No. 1 or No. 2 again. Be BIG!
The rental process went very smoothly and the rates are reasonable. The choice of cars was very limited. (Mostly suvs, of which Im not a fan) The car that I did get had some trash in it. They could do a better job of preparing the car for the next customer. Otherwise, it was great. Would definitely use them again.
I love this place! The location is convenient, and the staff is friendly, courteous, polite and professional -- in manner and appearance. They even picked me up -- just like their ads say -- as I had to drop my own car at a mechanic. Perhaps most impressive, the manager and two staff were at the office slightly earlier than their opening hours on a Sunday morning (8:40 AM), and were ready and HAPPY TO HELP!! Their pick up service is invaluable to us. We travel up and down the east coast on our sailboat making frequent stops along the way. When we need a vehicle I always call Enterprise. I can usually count on them offering us a free upgrade on what ever car we rent. Best of all, the are always willing to take us back to the boat as well. They are the best!
I have never been more satisfied renting a car .... Everyone at this location was kind considerate and helpful HOWEVER ZACK always went above and beyond and if I ever need to rent a car this will be my location!!!

The gentlemen behind the counter we re tripping over each other....slow as molasses....seemed overwhelmed. Drop off was better with only one woman everything flowed. Skip this place and go to Budget Rentals on Rt 37 instead
Excellent service, fair prices, and great personable people. Vehicle was nice and clean upon pick up. They didnt have the lowest priced vehicle available, and I was given a free upgrade without a reservation which is not usual practice, but greatly appreciated. When I returned the vehicle, even though short handed, they gave me a ride home and saved me $20.00 on an uber ride. Highly recommended if you need a rental.

The service was fantastic! Within the same day, i placed a car reservation online and within just 4 hours i was able to pick up my rental vehicle. Unfortunately the car i had in mind to rent was unavailable. The car i was looking to rent was only 40 a day rather than the truck i was stuck with for 65. (the cheapest option) the vehicle was a jeep wrangler which by no means would i willingly rent the same vehicle. Horrible on gas, uncomfortable, while also missing key features like wiper fluid. Yes, no wiper fluid which isnt a huge deal. During the bad weather i experienced for 3 days it would have been nice to have. Despite my newly developed hatred for jeep justifying 40k on a wrangler; i could not complain with the service and help. In and out with my vehicle pick up and drop off. I told the staff about the wiper fluid as well as an annoying change oil light. (I was told the oil was changed right before i got it but rather be safe than sorry.) Enterprise great experience, minus vehicle fluids but i dont expect the staff to be the same people responsible for such fluids. Although i wish enterprise would promote how they will pick you up and drop you off to your new vehicle if you didnt have a way of getting to the store location. I arranged rides for myself to and from but now i know. Thank you again for a great experience.
Ive been a frequent user of Enterprise in PA. This is my first experience with Toms River and it was the best. Prices were reasonable. Pick up and drop off quick and professionally handled. Friendly front desk service and quick sign in. Would definitely recommend Enterprise to my friends in NJ as well as PA. Thanks Enterprise for a great trip.
Do to covid19, my trip was cut short by two days they charged me for the two days. Will not use them again.
I will never book a reservation for a car through Enterprise for the rest of my life. Called 24hrs ahead to reserve a compact vehicle for one full day, they stated the debit requirements for renting this car and since it was going under my family members name since he was the only one who would be driving this vehicle, we opened a checking and savings account in his name to make sure we followed all of their requirements.They were more than 20 minutes late to picking us up, and then once we arrived and we were even going to receive insurance under them, they refused to us the debit card under my family members name just because his name wasnt printed in plastic on his new debit card. This was our first time hearing this new requirement and we were obviously very upset and trying to work with them. I told them we have paperwork and online statements proving this is HIS debit card, but they did not care. If they notified us of this requirement ahead of time, I wouldve made sure it was met.Theyve already wasted two hours of my time now and I am ridiculously late for my grandmothers funeral. To add insult to injury, they did not offer to drive us back home and said go take an UBER an ignored us while we made many phone calls to find someone to pick us up because they abandoned their own customers.The manager and his employee also spent the entire time while we were waiting discussing how they both used to chew tobacco illegally since they were 12 years old in front of us which is an extremely distasteful and inappropriate conversation to have in front of your customers since youre actually just talking about how you got away with a felony and youre in charge of an Enterprise.I am now seeking information to contact the district manager and make sure nobody I care about will ever rent a car from Enterprise, because this is the most unprofessional business I have ever contacted in my life. Rude, lying, and extremely discourteous. I made it to my grandmothers funeral 20 minutes before it ended, otherwise I would be looking into my lawyer options.

I dont want a young girl to lose her only job because shes essentially the most rude and nasty person Ive ever encountered, and Im not going to make ALL details public for Enterprise sake And theirs. Im never one to complain. I take bad service on the chin and roll with it, little did Kayla and Vanessa know I have been in the service industry for about 15 years total in one managerial position or another. Surprise! They should truly watch how they treat people. Most people with the financial capability treated how I was treated in America would probably sue, but Im not a total piece of trash and like I said I think these girls just need a real lesson in customer service and to be honest retrained or demoted. NEITHER of them deserve any management position whatsoever. Police were almost involved when I still had 10 days on my rental, all because it made this young girl Kayla feel powerful to do so in my humble opinion and experience. That is someone who does not deserve a position of authority, the fact that she has one is very scary in general. I was made to look like I wouldnt pay for services owed, Geico covered the rental and they refused three of my credit cards in a row saying they didnt want my money they wanted the car and to teach me a lesson and when I called to make payments for a protection plan they would say oh, YOU AGAIN?!?! and hang up before I could speak. This happened over twenty times to me AND my retired elderly mother over the course of about 5 days. And they instructed employees under them to do the same to me and my 65 year old mother. Wow. Just imagine what Im NOT including here. If I included it you would not even believe me. Use a different branch. These girls acted as if they had mental health issues, seriously. It was insane and dirty tactics all around because she seemed to lust for power. Newsflash Kayla, your a manager at Enterprise not President of the USA. PLEASE START TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT OR I PROMISE VERY SOON YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF UNEMPLOYED OR IN VERY SERIOUS HOT WATER WITH SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AS FORGIVING AS ME. thank you and have a great holiday. :) other than this, the recourse Enterprise has provided was five star when it comes to their customer service reps. That is the only time during my entire month long experience where I was treated with respect and dignity which is why I suggest using another location and avoiding Kayla, Vanessa, and this location at all costs!
Made a reservation for Enterprise Rent-A-Car to pick a Rent-A-Car up at 3 get to Enterprise and they dont have any Rent-A-Car had to postpone my vacation because they didnt have any Rent-A-Car and I lost money do not rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on 37 in Lakewood or in Toms River on Route 9 they all suck
My mother was in a serious car accident and we needed to rent a car so I could take her to her doctor appointments as well as anything else she may need. The gentleman, Richard was very compassionate of our situation & did everything to allow the process to be as smooth as possible.I have been to other Enterprise locations & this by far was my favorite. You need more Richards!

My vehicle had to go in for warranty repairs, being that I had just had it at this Dealer 4 weeks previous for the same issue, I needed them to come through for me. They agreed to cover the cost of a Rental. Had no issues until I received an invoice from Enterprise. On the initial rental agreement, under summary of charges in bold letters, BILL TO DEALER. In the end, it was Enterprise that dropped the ball. $20 a day for insurance! The dealer kept the vehicle for 10 days, so I get left with the option of gambling on not getting in an accident and on the hook for a brand new car, or I get whacked over $200 for choosing the safe option, in the hopes my car would be fixed right the 5th time, in a timely fashion!!
How can a car rental company have NO CARS??? Its not a holiday weekend... Its not summertime... Its not a time of year when college kids are out of school... Totally unacceptable to ask me how far I am from an airport?!?! Ridiculous. Thanks for nothing Enterprise.
This is my first and last time renting with this enterprise, it was a nightmare of an experience. When i called for assistance, the young man gave me such an attitude.
In the past I have had a rough time with enterprise. This time it was great! I delt with a man named Richard and he was so nice. He was so friendly and really made my experience wonderful. He gave me a beautiful jeep compass to drive for the 3 days I needed for my car to be fixed. I work an hour away from this location and although I know they close at 6 I made it there by 5:55 and held my keys for me because the shop next door where my car was getting fixed closed at 5. He was not even a little annoyed that it was closing time just about and I made it there right around closing time. Thank you richard for making my experience with enterprise wonderful!

Very polite workers but very upset. I made a reservation online and I showed up and they didnt have the type of car I wanted. I ended up paying double somehow ? Total scam making a reservation. They definitely take advantage of you needing a vehicle! Workers didnt even offer to honor the rate I made a reservation for. I will not use enterprise again !

Registering online was convenient. A call for a pickup the following morning was easy staff member was extremely courteous and nice. I would happily recommend enterprise Rent-A-Car to anyone who is of need for rental car.
Im a regular customer and 2 weeks ago, I rented a car thru my car insurance which only $50 was hold of my credit card for the rental, today I went in to get car rental for the weekend and they tried to tell me that they holding $200 of my credit card.. unacceptable and canceled the transaction immediately .

Within 2 hours of a terrible accident, where my car was totaled, Enterprise provided a rental. While my insurance policy provides that service, Enterprise stepped up immediately. My car was spotless....had it for 6 days and received nothing buy top-notch courtesy. They even picked up my car at the dealership after my new purchase. Great experience after a nightmare accident.

I went to this enterprise hoping it would be better than the one in bayville which ive had horrible experiences with and they lived up to my expecations. They said theyd call me back when the car I needed came in and they never did not even to help me find an alternate solution or direct me to a different enterprise, Ive had to arrange rides for the week now
