Dr. Houlihan is great. I suffer from severe dental phobia, and going to the dentist is a very scary event for me. Everyone at this office made me feel so comfortable every step of the way. I love that they offer sedation for treatment, making it possible for me to get the dental care that I need. They are very thorough, and made me feel very important. They have done multiple procedures on my mouth, and it feels great now. We also did a whitening treatment before my wedding and it worked amazing, and made me feel so much more Confident on my special day! I feel like Ive finally found a great dentist, after dealing with several bad experiences in the past, and that is so refreshing.

Recently received dental care at Dental Professionals. My biggest fear is always getting the anesthetic. I had no idea that part could be so comfortable and pain free. Excellent technique by the Dr and they walked me through the procedures and made sure I was comfortable and informed. The appointment was a pleasant surprise. Dr. Houlihan and his entire staff are incredible. My daughter who is 29, with special needs has been coming to Dr H. Since his practice started a few years ago. She has to be sedated to get any dental work done. For parents who have children or adults who need sedation, this is the place for you.Dr. Houlihan is kind, understanding and most importantly he does a wonderful job.His staff is the BEST! I have never written a review based on a family member’s experience before, but his experience here was so AWFUL I am compelled to let future potential customers know about his experience.Having teeth removed is a painful experience - both physical and emotional. Having all your teeth removed is a traumatic experience.My brother was getting work done on his remaining good teeth from a skilled professional on the East coast. After relocating to Portland, he went to this place to continue the work on his teeth. The team that works here advised my brother that removing all his remaining teeth and going for dentures would be the best option.It has been the WORST decision and was a severely poor direction recommended by the dentist. All because of how horribly they have handled his care, how poorly they have treated him, and how lacking in professionalism they are.The 8 hour surgery wasn’t done properly - his gum line wasn’t sutured properly causing IMMENSE and unnecessary pain in the weeks following. They did bone grafting during the surgery without his permission - a very long and painful healing process.My brother doesn’t cry easily. But after 5+ ill-fitting, faulty, and misshapen temporary dentures he was in tears.Can you imagine suddenly having NO teeth and the people you trusted and paid to help you SCREWED UP? And didn’t care to fix it immediately? MULTIPLE TIMES!!!The front staff did not rush his replacement dentures as they were instructed to do (multiple times). There has been 0 good bedside manner for my brother. This place truly cares about only money. They have not treated him with care or kindness.This is almost 1 year later and he STILL doesn’t have his correctly fitting permanent dentures. DO NOT GO HERE.They charged 2x the amount that was agreed upon originally. $20k originally to $40k+ is a MAJOR difference. They have billed him for their mistakes. This staff and dentist should be ashamed of how they treated their patient, my brother.BE ADVISED - DO NOT GO HERE! Learn from my brother’s unfortunate mistake of trusting these people!

Biggest scam artists in the dental industry with the lowest quality of work for what they scam out of you. Inexperienced assistants that need step by step instructions in order to accomplish what is being done. The dentist would rather rip out a full set of workable teeth in order to make money on a pair of 45,000 dentures because he cant do actual quality dental work on teeth. The dentures take almost a full year to come close to a finished product and still its a terrible fit, crooked and uncomfortable. Save yourself any trouble and DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! You can tell them what you have to work with and they will end up charging you more than double in the end because they have no souls and bleed you dry. They were told there was 20,000 to work with, thats when they saw dollar signs. There were 16 teeth that were being redone on the east coast in a very affordable manner by a very skilled man, then this dentist said being ripped out and dentures put in would be the more affordable option. They most likely get a percentage of the dentures they sell and that is the reason for being so insistent. This experience has been a train wreck with the inexperienced dentist leaving bone exposed, horrible fittings, hidden fees, humility, greed and honestly 0 good experiences from this place. They care nothing about your satisfaction, only about money. I dont want anyone else to see or feel the pain Ive had to endure watching my significant other go through because of this place so again, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Well!! Such was my fear and anxiety of going to the dentist after an extreme absence that it took me 3 tries to get there!! They were NOT deterred in their encouragement and once there was treated with gentleness and compassion as we bustled about! Dr. Houlihans whole team is top notch, explaining, showing, educating me, giving me options, preparing me, no question too absurd... never leaving my side in my anxiety..... All the while they were taking care of me they were actually getting work done-the work of my teeth: checking, measuring, assessing, planning, plotting so they could come up with the best for me!It was an altogether GREAT first start, and if they will work that well together in the first appointment Im encouraged to see how well they will work on the big stuff!!If you truly want to invest in yourself, and now is the time, try Dr. Houlihan and his team.

Amazing service! I went in for my first cavity filling and was very nervous about how much it would hurt. However, everyone was very welcoming and made feel comfortable. I was most worried about the shots to numb my gums but when the dentist administered them he used a technique so I wouldnt feel either of my shots! The entire procedure was quick, pain less and the waiting room in a nearly no wait.

As always this dental clinic expectations. As a person who had a traumatic experience as a schoolboy in England during the 50s l detested visiting dentists all my adult life. Dental Professionals have removed that feeling. Can not recommend enough.Paul

I have had a lot of dental work. The staff here have worked with me and tailored a plan to help prevent anymore issues. Its worked extremely well over the years. I finally had to have a cap replaced and the dentist worked with me on what my options were and did an exceptional job on fitting the cap in my mouth as Im super sensitive to things being even slightly off. Well, let me count the ways. I cant say enough good things about the staff, and the over all experience I have had with Dental Professionals. For many years I was scared to see a dentist because I had kept suck poor care of my teeth my entire life. I knew I needed a lot of work and I figured I would be looked down upon. My wife told me about Dental Professionals and she said that she knew they would make me feel comfortable. She was not wrong. I am almost done with my treatment now, and I cant tell you how good it feels.Simply put, they care and this is very apparent (but not in a annoying or fake way). I have had some pretty major work done (crowns, root canals, ect) and I almost fall asleep each time. I like the staff so much that if I saw them at a restaurant, I would by them a round of drinks. The work is painless. I dont even notice the shots (not exaggerating).If you need a new dentistry to call home, choose Dental Professionals. When you leave, you will smile. Not because of your awesome looking teeth, but because of the experience. I promise.Unfortunately my wife lives in a different state and can no longer go to dental professionals. But she has since been to two different dentists, and she said each one said something about how nice the work that she had done at Dental Professionals was. I thought that was pretty awesome.

Ive been with this dentist since I grew my first tooth (more than 25 years). I have NEVER had a bad experience with them, and I love these people so much that I make the trek waaaaay out to Lake Oswego to stay with them (I live in NE portland and cannot drive, so were talking a 2hour mass transit trip each way). When i was little, I didnt really take care of my teeth the way I should have, so ive had a bunch of fillings done. The only (and i mean only) pain i ever experienced dentistry-wise with them was the pinch from the novacaine shot. They talk you through everything they are doing, are super attentive to your needs, and are THE BEST at what they do. I am never afraid to go to the dentist BECAUSE of Dental Professionals. They rock.
