I had Rene cut my hair at another business he worked at prior and I will never go to anyone else. Rene takes his time to make sure my beard, eye brows and hair look amazing EVERY TIME. I don’t care if I have to drive from Cornelius to Tigard to get it done by him. It’s worth it! 5 stars!

René was my barber. Nice guy, but DO NOT let him touch your hair, especially your beard. I wanted to trim my beard, he butchered it. Its short, and very uneven. Shaved my head, and left patches of longer hair. I could have done all that myself, for free. Hey, but at least I got a free comb! Youd be better off doing it yourself, that way you have no one else to blame but yourself when its as messed up as mine looks. Would not recommend to anyone.

Best barber in the area. I was tired of paying for a weak cut from some body who doesnt care.... then I found Empyre. Matthews passion is cutting hair and it shows in his work and his shop. He Took his time fading me up and the whole staff treats you with all the respect you deserve. Aloha shop is brand new and looks fantastic, all white with black trim and hip hop memorabilia on the walls. The price is definitely worth the experience.

Empyre is a professional barber shop that does exceptional quality haircuts/fades. “How can we serve you” is there slogan and it couldn’t be more accurate. I noticed a few bad reviews on here and was shocked. One bad experience is not a representation of the barbershop.

Waste of time. I scheduled a cut for 3pm. Walk in at 2:45 as requested per the appointment. Rene said hes running 20 mins late. I chose to wait since all the review are so good. The time is now 4pm and hes still currently working on the same guy. Now his 4pm appointment is here and having to wait. Dont waste your time!

Im fairly introverted myself so going into new business as a stranger gives me minor social anxiety. These guys were very welcoming and made the whole vibe comfortable for me to socialize with them while Teresa did an awesome job on my fade.Im not mad at it, but the only criticism I have to offer is that my appointment was pushed back 20 minutes.I was told that they will clean your neck up in between cuts. If they deliver on that with working me in on time I could easily give this place 5 stars.

Looks like a few barbers here can blaze a cut. But what’s the point of an appointment if you can’t keep it. Also 30$ for a decent cut on my 4 year olds a bit much especially when it’s just ok..... welll edit a few hours later and they refunded my money so they are willing to stand by their work. There were a few really skilled barbers in there and since he didn’t hesitate to refund a benji I’ll definitely be back to give em another shot.

After years in the area surrounding Portland, Ive found a few good places with a few good people, but St. B blows them all out of the water. Personable, easy going, easy to talk too, and a great cut and beard trim to go with it. The first barber Ive ever said Just do whatever you think is best and not had any concern with what the result would be. Absolutely the best cut you can get at any cost. And then you see the price and it feels even better. Come here, let St. B go to town, be happy with the result.

I made a appointment and waited 40 extra minutes. Why book a appointment when they make you wait?

Showed up on time and made me wait 45 mins, now it’s my turn and messed up my fade big time. Asked for low fade with combover and got a Mohawk and the line up was awful and not even on both sides.

I’ve been going to Star for a little under a year. I wanted to give myself some time before I reviewed because I’ve had barbers and hair stylists in the past who have been great at first and then their quality of work goes down. I’ve also been watching how other barbers in this shop cut and they all are very detail oriented. EMPYRE continues to do amazing work. I’ve also watched the owner provide awesome support to the barbers around him. I’ve heard references of cutting black hair as an art-form, which I whole heartedly agree with. Star is an incredible barber who also happens to be a really nice person. My son will be having his first hair cut with Star and I trust her skills. As a person of color it can be hard to find safe spaces in this community, and I can say I actually feel safe here. It’s also really wonderful to feel so welcomed. This shop is an asset to this community and I’m so grateful I found it. Keep up the amazing work, you guys are rocking it! Finding competent people who can cut black hair is rough in the burbs, but it’s not an issue for my son and I now.

I love this shop. I first saw Cassandra here and she is on point. Great hair cut really quick. She is super friendly and professional, asking all the expected questions ahead of time. After that I had to get a cut but she wasnt available so I went to whoever is free. I have done that twice now and not been disappointed. They have a clean shop and are always friendly. You cannot go wrong getting your hair cut here. They also all do a really clean High Skin Fade.

I had the same barber for three years, and got a haircut every other week. Once I moved to Beaverton, and tried a few different barbers, I was worried I wouldn’t find another shop like my old one. Leaving Empyre today, I feel like I’ve found my new shop. Great staff, very friendly, best prices in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a haircut. The only negative I’d have is the parking, it’s in a bit of a small lot. But overall, 10/10. Superb job guys.

Jake cut my hair for the first time yesterday, (my current barber is on vacation for the next 3 months) and Jake did an incredible job! We got along so well, we discussed my hair strategy, play by play and ended up with a win! Ill definitely see Jake for the next few months and might make a permanent switch. THANKS JAKE! Iam very particular on who cuts my hair. Twice have I been to empyre and both times I left with an amazing haircut for a really reasonable price. Why does two times matter? Because the first time I booked with Cassandra, the second time (accidentally thinking the same it was the same person) I booked with Amanda. Both ladies absolutely killed it. Talent in every booth. I wont go anywhere else.

Empyre Barbers is excellent! After having my wife cut my hair for the past 8 years or so, I decided to switch it up and go to a barbershop. I researched quite a few and ended up going to Empyre. Im glad I did. I was a bit nervous at first considering I had been doing the same thing for so long but everyone was really welcoming and Matthew did a great job. Ive been stopping in (scheduling online only takes about 2 minutes) every two to three weeks now for a few months and its always a good time. Friendly staff, clean shop, great cut. I highly recommend this place. You wont be disappointed!
