It was a great experience. Plenty of machines for users. Separate womens workout area, spin class area, group fitness area. Easy check-in process, flexible hours. Plenty of sanitizer available for hand and machine wipe down. Only downer is that it has a small dry sauna probably big enough for 3 people max is 4. Wasnt hot when attempted to use so passed on it. Wouldve been great to use for about 10 minutes. Overall I recommend this gym.

Its okay. Not amazing and honestly less impressive than planet for half the price. Definitely do not like the tanning and massage chairs are located. Awkward.

READ THE FINE PRINT.If you are a college student looking for somewhere to exercise for brief periods of time before leaving for school, World Gym is an option for you. Getting a membership involves no arm twisting or pressure tactics like some of the other gyms in the local area. The staff tries to be helpful and informative wherever they can. The facilities are clean, but some of the machinery on the floor maybe a little aged. One of the few bad experiences that Ive encountered when ending my membership at the gym was the cancelation policies that theyve instituted, where they require a member to inform the staff 30 days prior to cancellation of the membership. This ended up requiring me to pay for another months worth of membership fees even though I wouldnt even be using their facilities, which really soured the experience.

Best gym in town. Open 24 hrs Sun-Thur and till 12 on Fri/Sat because. All the free weights, machines and cardio equipment you could need to get a full complete workout. Also reasonably priced with discounts for students. Bonus their is an awesome smoothie bar below called Naked Nutrition to go to after a workout.

Good gym for the over all. A few machines need to be repaired/ maintained and not just some tape to cover the damages.

I decided to get a membership here bcz its closer to my home.and yes I like this gym.its not like my other gym feels like Im in jail....world gym is way less people, very clean equipment, enough equipment to use,people are very responsible and respectful about using all equipments at the gym.... i notice members here when they done using the weights they put it back where they belong....( thank God!!!).....front desk people are very nice and helpful. Womans restroom are very clean so no complaints at all........

I read of lot of the complaints from the past and most have been fixed. The gym is now open 24 hours. The sauna has been replaced with a brand new one. They have added even more equipment to a gym that already had a great selection. This place is so huge it never feels overcrowded. The place is always kept immaculately clean, someone is constantly cleaning and wiping down equipment. The staff is very friendly and always willing to answer a question or show you something if needed.

First off, the staff are nice, and signing up for a membership is easy and quick. The equipment is pretty nice. They have free weights, stationary machines, and of course cardio machines.

Best gym around! They even offer a personal trainer and I HIGHLY recommend Jordan!

Great people that run the World Gym

Had the greatest time with my son. This was my 1st live wrestling show but it wont be my last. I actually got to meet and greet some of thebwrestlers before the matches. It was awesome!!😄😄😄

Unorganized free weights, constantly looking for the weights I need. men’s sauna broken and apparently it has been broken for a while, just reading the other reviews, this has been an issue for a little over a year now. No pool. Staff is alright, sometimes they can’t be found. Good things about this gym is that it is spacious, lots of equipment, even though it’s unorganized, they at least have the proper equipment that I need, the equipment is properly functional and a good atmosphere.

It is 7:38am. Me and about 15 other people are standing in front of the gym which was supposed to open at 7am. But the doors are still locked. From talking to people this is not the first time that happened. Their poor free weight organization with weights laying everywhere but not where they’re supposed to be, makes it tough to find what you need and shows me the staff does not do their job. Either they don’t see the work or they just don’t want to work. It seems like the staff sees work just as a hang out session with their friends. The equipment is great but the staff and reliability is terrible.

Was looking for a gym that didnt require me to sign a contract. This gym was affordable and now I realize its the best commercial gym Ive been to. Clean, organized and not even crowded because of the size. Amazing equipment thats functional and new. Love this place.

I have been lifting weights at so many gyms for over 30 years and I have seen every kind of gym from a one room hardcore place to big fancy shiny machines everywhere. I was a serious bodybuilder when i was younger and i still work out like one and after quite a few years at 24-where no one reracks weights and most sit on equipment on their phones-and also other serious gyms that i had liked but just couldnt deal with the intense summer heat and no A/C of Iron Den - I found World Gym. I never have to wait on equipment which is always my biggest complaint in a gym. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me and the owner is so concerned and generous. This gym is huge and clean and keeps adding more, always changing and adapting. My favorite gym of all those I have tried in the past!!

Great gym! Ive been to gyms all over the country and it is pretty good in my opinion. Its not the best one Ive been to and they dont have a wide variety of weight machines available, but they do have most of what people look for. Gym is always clean, dont think Ive ever seen it dirty especially since the lady is always cleaning in there as if shes competing in a marathon (she should get a raise)!I see many people complaining about the staff and management.. Ive only had to deal with them a few times but it was always good and never had a bad experience.

I normally would highly recommend this gym, but they were supposed to open at 7am today and I waited around for 45 minutes and left because nobody showed up to open the place. There were about 10 other people who left while I was waiting pretty mad. I heard others saying this happens often. Not a great way to run your business.

The only thing I would like to see improved is weights laying everywhere, unorganized. I understand it is a big gym and you cannot “police” members all day long. What about having the staff clean up and organize the gym before close each day? Other than that, love the gym.

Colby, I believe that was his name, was great at taking care of a discrepancy on our automatic payment. He was able to help us out and smoothly fix our problem, and even reimbursed some money back. He also informed us, of a family discount we qualify for. Very pleased with his customer service :-D

Fun Zumba class on Fridays at 10 with Eli F. And clean, nice womens only area and spin studio.Fun spin class with Dana! Weights are in good repair and many other amenities. Jessica, the manager is a sweet heart! The people (employees) make it better!

I have been a member since Worlds Gym first opened. I love this facility. The staff is awesome and the ownership continues to invest in the facility, making it a great value. No other place like it in the area!

Nice place but the bicycles are too load banging on the floor ...gives you the impression that the floor is gonna fall through the first floor.

I work out here all the time. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. Everyone cleans their machines after they are done and I can always find what I need. There is a great variety of machines to use as well. I havent tried the classes yet but Ive seen them and the instructors are very intergetic and motivating even from outside the door.

I, like many here, created this review solely to warn others about this shady corporation. Its unfortunate because I know World Gym Texas City will never take any of these reviews into consideration and adjust their practices. However, if my review will help even one person, its worth it. Please, learn from all of our mistakes. Apparently I signed a 12 month contract I WAS NOT AWARE OF. Matt Weston, trainer and fitness manager never mentioned to me it was a contract. He simply put it out as a month to month training session that I could get out of it anytime if I wanted to. LIES!!!!BE AWARE!!!!! When talking to the Pure Core Personal Training people if they want you to sign electronically ask them to show you all the paperwork!!!!!! Dont fall into their lies.

I’m not a gym goer usually, but thought about it and started a spinning class there. I will say I had a great experience the first day and now the second. Was really clean, layed out well, and the employees greet you. Even down stairs at the smoothie place they were friendly. Big Bang for your buck! The VIP package is worth the extra $10 a month if you tan and want to use a hydrobed. Brandon, the guy who teaches the spin class is very upbeat, funny, and personable. He does a good job at starting on time and finishing the class on time! So far very happy with the class and the environment in itself!! So, VERY AFFORDABLE AND CONVENIENT Try it out!!

Love the equipment, the showers are clean, and the staff is helpful and incredbily friendly! Anytime weve had an issue, they get it resolved quickly

The gym is filled with the perfect equipment but the daycare staff are not great. I brought my twins which I pay 20 bucks a month for and my sister brought my nephew. We got to workout for 30 minutes total being interrupted twice and finally just having to leave. Not sure what child care is for.

A very nice gym. It has just about any piece equipment you could want to use to work out. Im a new member so Ill have to wait to see how things turn out before rating any higher but so far Ive been impressed.

Fantastic Gym! Lacy and Kayla, the two managers are absolutely the best. With management as great as they are, and an owner as genuine as Jerome Karam, its no wonder the positive atmosphere of the gym is so contagious!

I visited for the first time last night. Ive been looking for a gym specifically with a sauna, pool and hip hop dance classes. Well this place offered only the dance class. I give it 3 stars base soley on my experience in that dance class. 1. The instructor was drowned out by the loud music making it hard to understand her next instruction. She needs a microphone. 2. She was not on beat with the music. Now that may seem petty however it IS a dance class and it was very awkward trying to follow. 3. She did not offer modified moves to accommodate her very diverse group. Many women stood around idle because physically they couldnt execute a specific move. 4. She didnt have a solid playlist, something that would allow her to have a better flow. She constantly had to stop and change cds or shuffle through songs for the next routine. Overall the gym is a nice size and very clean. Hopefully theyll get a sauna and pool soon.

Worse management and dont care additude ever. Could care less if THEY make a mistake on you account with your credit card. Its well you dont like it we will just cancel your membership, I could care less if you have a membership here or not. If you dont like that they just have security escort you out. Find another gym with management who at least cares...I do t think the manger here could flip burgers. From my understanding the owner also could care less, no wonder his manager has the dont care additude.

Whereas the facility is alright,one needs to watch for charges,I see charges appearing on my credit card statement on a closed account. I spoke about it with a lady manager at gym,who offered her regrets and promised to credit back the amounts,that was last month, and all I see is another charge instead of my money.

Update: new staff ruined it for me, Im not gonna sit here tell the whole story and trash talk, it was stupid enough that just one interaction with the new staff and I canceled me and my wifes memberships.

Mens sauna still broken after they said they fixed it, told them about it and weeks later still no change, the gym its self is fine, gotta go when its not packed.
