Great staff. Due to the pandemic the fitness center still requires mask and social distance. So, some of the machines are blocked off and Im glad they still have a few exercise classes. And gym is open to walk around.

I love love love this place . I work out at least 5 times a week . First of all the price is $ 125 a year for an adult who lives in texas city. Seniors who live in Texas City only $ 60 a year . The classes are amazing with great teachers . The Lowery Center has everything from treadmills to weights. It has a ratchet ball room and a swimming pool that has classes . You can also just swim . The people who work there are super helpful.

They have Zumba exercise class. If you have silver sneakers thats your only class you can do the way I was told by someone. I wanted to do a Zumba class though.

Nice overall facility with a reasonable annual membership fee. Has 2 indoor pools, one heated and one not. Two full length basketball courts, the floors are not hardwood though more of vinyl composition. The weight room doesnt have a traditional bench press with barbell. There is actually no free barbells in the weight room. Only one Smith machine. Dumbbells up to 100lbs and at least two multi-position benches. I dont think there is a preacher curl on the free weights but in the circuit machines there is. There is a cable crossover machine and an assortment of circuit machines. Also a significant amount of cardio options. Outside are tennis courts.

Our grandson took swim lessons. Girl at front desk directed us to the wrong pool. Then, told us we had to walk thru the gym but we werent allowed to walk thru gym... Life guard needs to be a little quicker. Grandson went under water at the edge of the pool. Instructor had to motion to life guard...

A decent workout center owned by the city. Yearly or daily rates which arent bad considering the usual rate at the chain gyms.

I am a member of the Lowry Center. It is a GREAT Fitness Center. Lots of fun activities for adults and children.

At that time we were looking for a gym to join. Luckily we had a one day pass to visit. I will say its pretty small and not an open floor plan. Equipment is extremely minimal. If you are looking for your basis equipment and plenty of cardio machines. Then this is your place. Not for us. Staff is so and so. Dont expect much.

Ive had a membership to Lowry Fitness Center for years. It is not the biggest, fanciest, or high tech gym Ive ever been to, but it is a really great value
