This is 100% of my own accord.Big big BIG shout out to Ricky, personal trainer, their. He is highly intelligent and carries important information to reach your goals. Ricky undoubtedly produces results and his knowledge, experience, and appearance reflect those results. I was able to have a comprehensive conversation with him and he is very patient and flexible, showed me the entire facility and he had absolutely no idea I was actually ready to get a membership. He spent hours with me and executed his work perfectly. Big props to him and you should ask for him.If youre on the fence about getting a gym membership or a planet fitness membership, get off of it. This place is S P O T L E S S. The locker room is amazing. Its modern, incredibly clean, and they do not cut corners on things like shower curtains. Everything was made with quality in mind. There are many~ machines designed for use by beginner and experienced members and anyone in between. Personal trainers have schedules on a screen and online listing what classes they do and when. There is plenty of space. You will not be cramped. Everybody is incredibly kind. The spa is seriously awesome for the price. I consider it worth the value. Speaking of cost, what you get for a black card membership at planet fitness is almost too good to be true for the price. The Texas city facility is a model PF that any employee should be proud of. For as much as the price of 2 streaming subscription, you receive the maximum benefits of not just the TC PF but all in the US. Dont take my word for it. Just get there. If you want results on any level, your money and time are well spent, here.

I’ve been going to planet fitness in Texas City off and on for about 2years. I even went when there were tighter covid restrictions. The faculty is always clean. The staff is always so kind, smiling and help whenever possible. The personal trainer, Mr. Kenny, is amazing! I always feel the burn after his sessions, and he always encourages me to push my limits! No matter how I’m feeling walking into the gym, I always leave with a smile!

Great inexpensive place to workout, very clean and many cleaning stations to. Lean behind yourself. Great staff to assist with training and much more.

I am a beginner when it comes to working out and getting healthy has always been a struggle. I have always desired to want a healthier body but never just did it. A pastor friend of mine encouraged me to join and so I did. We keep each other accountable in our workouts. I love that everyone is so encouraging. Keep up the great work. God bless Planet Fitness.

Such a weird vibe in the Texas City location. Didn’t help that I was doing lat pull downs and let the weight make too much noise and set off the lunk alarm. Very un cool. I like how the people up front aren’t really greeting you but looking at the computer screen when you can in to see if you paid or something. Today corporate job kind of experience- caring about your money more than you.

I went to tan around 9AM. It wasn’t until about 9PM that I had realized I had left my ring in the tanning room…. I called up to the gym and a gentleman named tim answered. I explain to him I had left my ring and if there was anyone who had turned it in. He said he did not see the ring that I described… so I told him maybe I dropped it into the trash when I was throwing away the paper towels…. Well what did Tim do for me? He went to the tanning room I was in and dug in the trashcan to look for my ring… sure enough my ring was at the bottom of the trash… if that isn’t great customer service then I don’t know what is!! He could’ve easily just said no he couldn’t find it…. But he went above and beyond and dug in the trash and found my ring!!! I hope he knows how thankful I am!! Thanks for going above and beyond tim!!

Clean facility and good options to choose from. The stairmaster was a great warm up. Also they are open even at 12 am.

This Planet Fitness is very clean. Ive enjoyed all of my visits here. The Staff seems happy to see everyone and is very attentive.

I absolutely enjoy my Planet Fitness because theres no pressure to be good or be well-knowledged in working out. Its a great environment to just try anything and learn at your own pace how to treat your body with some love.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since September, but although we are in a pandemic and some of us have existing conditions, you still require us to come inside the gym and cancel in person.I waited until I received both of my vaccines to come in only to see no one with a mask on besides me. I missed the gym and decided to give it a try. I didnt feel safe working out. Someone was actually coughing. Right then I decided to go ahead and cancel. That was on April 13. On April 14 I returned to cancel my membership and Im told I will be charged for an extra month because I didnt come in 4 days earlier. Its not like Planet Fitness hasnt been charging my card $23.87 for almost a year. I guess since Im not under contract Planet Fitness wants to squeeze all they can out of me DURING A PANDEMIC. Thats okay, Im not going to fight over $23.87. I mean I guess my health is at least worth that.

I love the friendly staff and how clean this establishment is always kept but today I found myself disappointed with some of the equipment. Some of the equipment is broken and I find this unsatisfactory.

Well first time back in the gym since the pandemic. I was very hesitant still. I went when it wasnt busy. Some people didnt wear a mask but more than I expected was wearing a mask. There was no one around me on the treadmill. I found a area to myself to do my floor work. Everything was very clean. All in all good experience. Felt great to be back!

I just love the facility Kae and the rest of the staff make me feel like im home 💪🏾

Nice gym just needs more free weights less cardio equipment.

This is a great gym but in the mornings it takes so long to get help at the counter. For several mornings I come in and the guy that supposed to be at the counter isn’t. He doesn’t pay attention to who comes in or out. I have to call the phone to the club just to get his attention. I don’t know how long I will be coming here. May have to find another gym.

Very clean, all the customers help out, by cleaning the equipment after they are done using it. All cleaning stuff is furnished by the staff. A lot of equipment to choose from. A+ I recommend. 👍

Ive been coming to this PF off and on for about a year and really like it. The equipment is always working, theres a decent variety, everything is clean (including the bathrooms), and the staff is friendly. Ive found maybe one machine this entire time that was not working and Im pretty sure it had just happened. Overall, I like it here, I just wish less people came at the same time I did! :)

I love planet fitness! I just wish it had a sauna.

The gym is clean with no issues except the equipment is not being lubricated properly. The smith machines are starting to drag on the slides. The drop from top hook to floor took a six count. That is way to.much drag. This also affects poundage and will eventually cause early bearing failure

The facility is clean and staff implementing COVID procedures. Equipment works and you have plenty of room between people. You can workout with peace of mind.

Its always clean, the staff are really nice, and there is plenty of equipment. I appreciate the precautions taken for covid-19.

Love this gym, nice equipment and the employees are friendly. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is, the music is so loud that I have to turn my earbuds up to an uncomfortable range. Most people have earbuds for their own music, so why have the music soooo loud???

No one wears a mask and when its crowded its becomes too close for comfort. No one seems to be taking this pandemic seriously - so I wont be going there much longer.

There are plenty of machines, it’s clean, I’m not bothered by anyone and there are no obnoxious people in there

I like the gym but when I got sick with covid and I asked to cancel my membership last July they said no. They said they would suspend my membership for 3 months then renew. This kinda rubbed me the wrong way. You mean to tell me that if Im afraid for my safety or catching covid again you gonna hold me to a contract during a pandemic.Pathetic just pathetic. As soon as this contract runs out I will go back to my old gym 15 minutes farther away and 10$ a month more expensive.

The staff at the Texas City facility is excellent !! The manager Rachel runs a good ship. The Texas City location is always clean and has plenty of work out options.

Planet fitness is a very clean well run gym with very good and Varied equipment. Even with the pandemic there is enough equipment that the place never seems crowded.

Love the way that I can workout and social distance there. The layout for public safety is incredible.

People do not wear mask in here even though there are signs no one enforces mask.... 2nd I do not see staff cleaning equipment it seems luke its left solely to the individual. Come on now we know some people are not clean

I have enjoyed smiling, helpful employees at every Planet Fitness I ever been to...except for this one. This is shocking to me. The employees there are never consistent with the check in process, I feel as if I am being harassed when I walk in. When I have asked questions (on multiple occasions)about their check in policy or my membership, I have never gotten an answer. It is always the same rude, condescending female employee that makes checking in such a hassle. You never know what shes wanting you to do that particular day. Check in, walk on thru, husband check in, husband dont check in, I need to take your picture oh never mind I cant...it goes on and on to the point none of it makes sense.It honestly depends on what kind of mood shes in that day or how involved she is with her phone as to how she expects you to check in. Im sorry but this isnt thePF I am used to.

If I take the time to write review that means that my frustration topped a new milestone.I’ve had my membership on 06/08/2020 and went to workout 1 times ever since today. I decided to go use my membership today because I haven’t been in a gym in like forever— and surprisingly, I am being told by the receptionist that the system show that I am due after checking in, meanwhile my bank transactions shows that Planet Fitness process payment each month, for the 6 month.Dumbfounded as I was, I was compelled to gather more information to wrap my head around this anomaly. The gentleman tried to detail some information in regards to the ACH attempt to collect payments that apparently— according to their system state that for the last 3 months payments are collected in the first attempt due to insufficient fund, but eventually goes through for the second or third attempts...On the flip side, my bank statement shows each month a transaction from Planet fitness that is always successful, never gotten a message of a failed transaction due to some sort of insufficient fund issue. He subsequently told me that they charged me $15 for each unsuccessful transaction for the last 3 months, which I will not settle with, because I have proof of payments for each month for the last 6 months.He said I am contractually bonded to those charges— I requested a copy of the contract, he provided, and what I first noticed trying to skim through it— the layout of the contract is purportedly designed to discourage you to go over every stipulations. I left and went home and pondering on what just occurred, and decided to break my relationship with Planet fitness, because I believe that I have been duped and taken advantage of with these hidden fees, and also they didn’t deserve my money.Then I call the front desk to cancel my membership, the receptionist addressed me rudely and seemed nonchalant by saying I have to write a letter or come to the facility, which I will not do.I got membership over the phone and to cancel should be as easy as it was to get it. I withdrew permission to Planet fitness to process any further payments on my account and rip them the rights to access my finances.To conclude, please read your contracts fully before engaging in a new relationship with a business, even when it’s written in minuscule characters purposely to discourage you from reading it— because some business are out there just to “getcha “ and take advantage of your finances. They need to earn it. Not steal using tricks.

Clean, new equipment, affordable price! Its everything you need in a gym plus more !! Get a good work out then go take care of your muscles on the hydro massage bed or massage chair and get a tan if you need to! If this gym had a lap pool and sauna, it would be 10 star!

Still cant believe unlimited tans and unlimited hydromassages for like 24 bucks a month. Oh and you can work out, too. Make sure to get the PF Black membership for all those bennies...

Its dusty. The machines as well as by the windows look as if they havent been attended to all year. I dont like sitting my things down. This is unacceptable!!!

Great gym, friendly staff, and kept very clean. I know there is a pandemic but I am not understanding the change of hours with closing at 7PM on the weekends and from 2am-3am every morning. I signed up due to the gym being 24 hours with my late work schedule and being a fulltime student, so that is my only complaint.

I cancelled my membership back in May due to not going because of the Covid outbreak and my account was continuously charged up until the month of September. No way to get a refund due to it being a franchise no reconciliation offered by management. I’ve never had to deal with any gym membership that’s ran this poorly. We will never go back to planet fitness nor do we recommend this gym to anyone looking for a good gym.

Kenny, one of the trainers made a work out schedule for me! It has been a month and I am getting stronger and am able to get up and down easier. I am really impressed with the staff and knowledge about the equipment! Im thankful Planet Fitness is in Texas City!!!

Horable people i refuse to be associated with this gym .taking extra payments for no reason.no one to help resolve issue .but they keep taking your money .find a gym that you can call and talk to someone .not this company that.you try to call customer service .all they say is they are privately owned and cant give any contact information .I need answers planet fitness4 years loyalty and this how they treat people .shame on you .

The staff were rude and unhelpful. One staff member taunted me. They made multiple mistakes with billing and caused many problems. I will find another gym. I recommend others do the same.

Planet Fitness gets so much hate and I honestly cant see why, its a great gym and this Planet Fitness has some of the best staff. Ive been going here for a while and I highly recommend this gym to anybody looking to start.

So I’m at Planet Fitness using this “hydro massage” chair which like it sounds, uses water jet streams to massage... they need a disclaimer for men that if you don’t “properly adjust” that there is a chance you will never have children after use 😬Great option if you can not afford a Vasectomy tho

I love the happy, helpful and smiling employees at Planet Fitness except for Kae, the assistant manager! She is horribly rude! She told me around 2 months ago that I wasnt allowed in the gym because one monthly payment didnt went through, so I understood that and I left! I went back because I checked and Planet Fitness was charging me monthly! Everything was fine until Kae happened to be at the front desk again! She told me that I had to pay a late fee for the month that she didnt allowed me to get in the gym! Then I asked her to please cancel my membership and she told me: no, you have to pay first I tried to question her why then she didnt allowed me to come to the gym if anyways she would charge me, and her answer was well, thats the rules you have to pay. All the employees are always awesome but not Kae, I dont believe she has any customer service skills!

Last time I came here, the instructor Ricky helped me with new workouts and how to do them. Hes overall amazing individual, he has patience and encourages me and other members to do their absolute best. If I could give ricky 10 stars I would, however the best is 5. Every time i come here, ricky has the same content attitude and motivation.

Clean friendly staff. I love going in every morning to work out and seeing Ricky, he is so kind, informative and always remembers guest as the come threw the door. Such a hard working young man. Very refreshing. The place is always clean.

I love it so far but I wish there was a security guard in the parking lot. Lots of weird people walking around and I plan to do most of my workouts after work, so late at night. I feel so comfortable inside the gym, but I wish that comfortability carried with me while I walk to and from my car. I hope having a patrolling officer is something y’all can consider. I’m small so I would be an easy target for a predator, and I also see a lot of older people at the gym and I want them to be safe too

When they say Judgement free, they mean it. Planet Fitness has always been the only gym I have never felt intimidated in. I am visually impaired and it is easy to navigate around and find what I want to work on. The machines are very easy to use for me. The employees are very friendly and motivate you when you tell them what youre working on. I would recommend Planet to any and everyone!

24hrs, hydromassage and tanning option is definitely the perks of PF! Five star rating is specifically due to RICARDO; morning attendant. He’s always happy to help, professional and courteous regardless of how early it is. I went two my “home gym” and this location and out of 3 staff members I encountered, requesting assistance with a billing issue, RICARDO was the only one who assisted me in the process thoroughly and efficiently with patience. Myself as a Manager, recognize a great employee when I see one. Good Job RICARDO! I appreciate all you offer and provide to the PF members.

While the gym equipment was great, the lack of customer service is not. The manager needs an attitude adjustment or training on how to deal with paying customers. Glad I canceled my membership and will never visit another planet fitness again.

Blessed Be the Timid! At this Planet Fitness - unlike at L.A. Fitness & Gold’s Gym - there is no entryroom where you can place your duffel bag and belongings. And FYI, it is a felony to have to expose yourself to certain gym members. Otherwise, the Place is Fabulous!

Excellent Gym! Lots of machines and very nice staff. Very clean and sanitized frequently. Something for everyone.

Stand up tanning rm 1 and 2 need new bulbs.I have med to light skin I dont tan all the time but I did tan two days in a row for the max of 9 min in each with very little result from the tan. Those beds are very powerful or should be in fact I should have what we would call as are first summer burn. I just wanted enough color to put on shorts comfortably but unfortunately Im still white. I will try the lay down beds for the next few days see if I get any results.Over all I do really like this place, but a routine change of bulbs might something managers may want to look at more closely, especially if this is one of the major perks to the upgraded membership program.Thank you

Honestly, my first experience was less than great. The young man that was behind the counter seemed as if I was bothering him by wanting to get information on a membership. I came in knowing I was going to sign up, otherwise, he would have sold me nothing.When I went the next day for orientation with Kenny, I was welcomed by Amber. She was very helpful and apologetic for my experience the previous days experience. Jenny was also very helpful and willing to work with me to set up a class to show me how to use the machines.I then went to class a couple of days later and it was a great experience. The Hydro massage is amazing. I cant wait until my next workout. Thanks for showing me that my first experience was the exception, not the rule.

I feel very comfortable going to this gym, nothing like going to 24hr fitness, no judgment passed here. I got a membership and would definitely recommend this location.

Great place to and get your workout on 24 hours 7 days a week in a clean environment

Nice little spot to work out. However, Its too friendly for me. I structure my workouts around dumbbells and barbells, there is not enough weight for me. I love the fact that all the equipment is new and the place is super clean. I do a lot of working out between 2am and 3am before work and too many times Ive been approached by strange men lurking in the parking lot or inside the gym. This is not a good look. I think a security guard would be a great addition. Overall it is a great beginners gym. Would give 5 stars, but Im not with the no intimidation bullsh@t and the lurkers worry me. Ill be going back to 24 hour fitness once I-45 gets repaired.

Nicest staff in the chain. Ricardo is the best and management is great at there job. And here is why I am changing my rating to a one. Upper management seems to be unwilling to keep up with the maintenance of building. First and foremost is lack of warm water in shower. Owner apparently is to cheap to up keep building up to minimum standard.

I made the mistake of joining before visiting and they didnt have any squat racks. Its my own fault that I didnt enjoy my memebership i shouldnt have assmued.

Finally, a 24/7 Gym done right! Planet Fitness is the gym for a busy body like myself. Im sure as some will relate, sometimes you just have tooo much crammed in the day time to go and get a quick pump in.Enter: Planet Fitness. Its staffed (as should it be) 24/7 as well. The employees go above and beyond for the members. Ive had some issues with their merchant, however the staff has all been 100% understanding and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to ANYBODY, and if you do sign up, GET THE VIP. ITS WORTH IT!!!!!

I was very displeased today when I called to inquire about what hours they would be open as it has been my experience before at several other locations to have varying hours due to a holiday. Autumn answered with an attitude, which wasnt a surprise as she always seems to have one whenever shes there in times I have been prior, and when I asked what hours they were open she very rudely replied with Were 24 hours!! Maybe she needs to retake her training, seems to have missed the part about proper customer service....05/09/19 Along with managing your staff better maybe you should get better maintenance people as well. Always seems to be some water issue going on at this location. No water at all today.
