I’m beginning to realize that once they make you happy by addressing some issues, they move on to the next apartment. I’ve told them how horribly noisy my apartment is and asked if they would consider putting carpet upstairs. It’s an old historic home that was made into 2 apartments and you hear EVERYTHING. I have a window made of plastic that doesn’t lock, among other issues, but Connie scheduled maintenance a week out to fix my window, yet I’m being woken up to them sanding upstairs?! They’ve been working on the upstairs apartment for over 2 weeks now, but my window can’t be fixed first? They also had the roof replaced and the yard was never rolled with a magnet. After waiting over a month, I got a magnet and did it myself. Well, I got stung by a bee while I was rolling the yard and had to go to the ER because of my allergic reaction. When I mentioned this to Connie, she told me that was my problem and I shouldn’t have been trying to get the nails up. I have nieces and nephews that play in the yard, not to mention I have to walk through it daily. But, I should have just waited longer… Her “holier than though” attitude is demeaning and rude. Was I supposed to run over a nail with my tire, my foot, etc., to get the hundreds of nails from the yard? You can only hold the contractors accountable for so long before you get your people out here and just do it. Start using reputable companies/contractors and it won’t take 3 weeks to do a 1 week job. This is my home, for now, but that doesn’t seem to matter. Sleep is overrated, apparently…The picture is the nails I pulled up from the front yard alone, which is tiny compared to the side and backyard. And I was told I should have waited longer. 🙄

James and Stone Realty are hands down the best PM team Ive ever dealt with (and thats saying a lot because I work for one). I am an out-of-state investor and James has made the entire process--from property acquisition to repairs to filling the units--as seamless as possible. His team of contractors are quick and quality work at a fair price. James is available to answer questions at any time and even managed to make time for us while he was on vacation. His customer service to both his landlords and his tenants is superb. Because of James and SRPM, my business partner and I have decided to stop looking for new areas to grow our business but focus on Terre Haute and the surround areas James manages.

Cant say enough good things about our experience with Stone so far. I am an out of state investor, so having a local team I know I can trust is critical.So far we have used them to help us monitor and complete a home rehab, and then place a tenet upon completion. They landed a quality tenet almost immediately. We are currently working through 3 large renovations and they have been there every step of the way to assist in contacting and resigning existing tenets, as well as to provide support and guidance as we planned out our scope of work.They are timely, direct and professional. Their fee structure is extremely reasonable, and the back end reporting they provide is excellent as well. My partner and I look forward to continuing to grow with their team.

Im sure that Janes Stone would understand our situation better that the office help, I truly loved this rental company and feel there has been a miscommunication from office to Janes Stone, my mother was a Stone born in Linton in and lived mostly in Dugger and Sullivan, she is from a family of 10 and I know somewhere down the line James Stone is in that family tree somewhere I’ll need to look, anyway my review isn’t with owners who probably has no idea of what is happening or has the whole story because of the lack of communication between maintenance and his self God Bless

Stone realty was awesome to rent from! We loved the house we stayed in and they are super responsive! Connie in their office in particular was amazing - easy to get in touch with and always helped immediately with anything we needed. Would have zero reservations in renting from them again and would highly recommend!

I have lived in my rental property for several years and recently Stone Realty-Property Management took possession of it. I have been very pleased with the professional and personable relations I have had in dealing with Stone Realty in the short time that they have been my landlord. I had an ongoing plumbing issue in my apt when they took possession and Stone has been prompt in remedying my problem.

We just sadly moved out and will miss renting with Connie and the others. If you’re looking to rent with someone in Terre haute go here. They will treat you like family. I don’t say that loosely at all. From day one before we leased with them they answered all our questions and where quick with responses. When we got the house it was the same. If we had a problem they fixed it that day or the next day as soon as they could. If we didn’t get paid till after rent was do no problem they understood and didn’t charge us anything. When the snow storm and pandemic hit they did everything to make sure we where safe and comfortable in our home. I will miss renting with them because in Terre Haute it’s extremely hard to find a good or even decent company to rent with but Stone is an amazing company to work with.5 out of 5

Stones owner reporting software is very helpful to see how your properties are doing, and they are well organized and super responsive.

I moved over to Stone Realty from another property management company. James and his team (Connie and Kyle) have been nothing short of amazing to work with. Im always surprised with their responsiveness - they always seem to respond faster than I expect them to. They also keep me in the loop with any issues that occur. I also enjoy their system of monthly reports and direct deposit that is a rare thing to find in the area. These guys are very trustworthy, down to earth and professional. Ive only been renting through Stone Realty for a short time, but I am impressed with their level of professionalism in general and specifically their attentiveness w/regard to maintenance issues. I would recommend Stone Realty to anyone looking for a new place to live. Also, Connie is the best, friendly and easy to work with. I have one suggestion. Having a way to sign up for autopay of my rent or having the ability to pay online, without accruing a major processing fee, would be convenient and helpful.

I own over 40 properties in the Terre Haute area. I have used two other management services in the past few years, with very little satisfaction. I was very cautious in making the move to Stone Property Management. I had several meetings with the owner and employees on the phone and in person before moving my property to them. Last year I moved all my property over to Stone and have seen positive changes from day one.

Coming from my old renting agency (hill valley), stone was a breath of fresh air. The ladies at the office are polite as can be, and just as helpful. Have nothing bad to say about them after almost an entire year of renting through them

Wish I could give ZERO stars. My sister-in-law moved into an apartment and found an infestation of bed bugs the next day, crawling all over the walls and carpets, getting on all of her stuff. And the property lady tries to accuse her of bringing them. Absolutely not, these are slumlords. BEWARE !!

I used to work for one of stone realitys slum lord clients named Jeff, he knowingly and intentionally moves people into bed bug infested propertys, if you had this prpblem yes you may be surprised they knew aboute the bedbugs and lied aboute the home or apartment being a good property. And they act as if they never had a compliant if the building your calling aboute they always tell people they must have brought them in therself and thats not true at all theyve been there for along time they had a profesional whom is acualy there maintenance guys come in and look not PROFESSIONAS!!They have a few nice lagit properties but most are disgusting and converd up bye new paint and a round of bug spray to get tenants to sign the lease after thay they dont treat the home again. I got sent into several bedbug infested homes to make repairs and due to the risk of bringing them back to my house i had to stop working for him and find another job because he would do nothing to stop the bedbugs or at the least treat for them. I could find it more respectful of a landlord they atleast tryd but they are money hungry, self orientated people and jeff is a cop with a bad cop attidude and tenants due not matter to this company or him especially . Many people may not know how hard it is to live with bedbugs and the property you may have to throw away when you move can be very expensive to replace and sad because ive heard tenants state there baby would wake up with bites head to toe and jeff would say its not my problem i didnt bring them in that house break your lease if you want and you will pay the remader. Just a safe heads up take cuation please.. they sound so profesional and so nice but new tenants have no idea what there getting there self into renting off this horrible companie.
