I went to Interstate Auto Repair because of excellent reviews. My trunk would not open with the key fob or inside latch. I was quoted an approximate amount that the repair would cost. However, I was told that the wiring inside the driver door just needed to be cleaned; that there was buildup. So, this ended up costing much less than the quote.I plan to use Interstate Auto Repair for all of my cars needs in the future!I am highly recommending this company!

Been taking my 2014 Ford Focus here since I got it in 2018, theyve been taking care of me really well. They do all the service I ask and nothing extraneous, and will make suggestions for fixes when they see them. For instance, I noticed irregular tire wear on my old set of tires, so once I got a new set I took the car in for an alignment. They did the alignment for free (since I already got one there not too terribly long ago) and told me what would need replacing to stop the uneven tire wear. Quality place, no doubt.

Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. As a woman I appreciate knowing they are reliable. Their services are done professionally and the costs are reasonable. I bring my Mini Cooper and my Xterra and always pleased.

This is the best auto garage! They were honest, thorough, have very fair/reasonable pricing and better-than-average turn around time. I am not able to truly express that gratitude I have for Interstate Auto Repair. Both their professionalism and personal interaction has made my experiences (and there have been many) easy to deal with when having work needed to be done on my vehicle. I have always been able to get right in and I am kept in the loop along the way with what needs to be done, what is recommended and what the costs will be. My vehicle is 13 years old and I still love driving it. Keith and his team along with their fixes have allowed me to continue doing just that. Straight and to the point I was referred here by discount tire and was told that they were a solid shop that would be honest and fair. That’s all I wanted, I didn’t want a deal or a discount I wanted a shop that was honest and fair and that’s just what I got. Keith didn’t try and sell me on anything that was not necessary and he showed me exactly what was wrong with my truck. I went somewhere else to get a quote a few months back and let’s just say his price was less than half. Great vibe with his whole staff very humble and peace of mind that they stand behind their work with pride and that your supporting a small locally owned business.

We have two fairly old vehicles that Interstate has helped us maintain for years. Both have over 225,000 miles. Recently, we were hauling our trailer on a camping trip. On way, the truck overheated. Turned out we had a crack in our radiator. We were stuck with no way to get our camper back. Keith from Interstate brought a new radiator out to our campsite to replace it so we could get back on the road. Saved our hides!

They quoted us over $500 for repairs...plus a $75 diagnostic fee. Interstate was able to repair the vehicle for $35! What a huge savings. Keith became a fast friend, years ago when he fixed our car for 15.00 bucks after we had been quoted over a thousand dollars by a thieving competitor. He will fix it right the first time (if youll allow it) but also has an understanding of costs so the choice will be yours to make. Many times and many cars later he will always tell me what NEEDS to happen as well as what we can do to scrape by for a bit. Lets face it, we arent always financially prepared for a big ticket fix and he gets that. Im leaving the state now and truly wish I could take him with me. Not sure how Ill ever find another mechanic that I trust as much.

I always change my oil every 5000 miles over there, and fix some small problem which their price most is reasonable, thing change when one time I done change my oil, the technician told me that my battery is low which I just got new one from my dealer 2 months ago, so I asked them if they can show me the test result but he can’t show it to me, but most time I believe what They said bcz I mostly feel people honestly & professional on their field. But I did not change my battery there bcz I still have 2 year warranty on it, so I drove 40 mins to my close dealer, after check they told me everything is good, no needed to change, I was like ok what is going on now? Dealer try not to honor my warranty? Or interstate auto want to rip off my money? So I went to O’Reilly auto to double check, and they told me same as my dealer said nothing wrong with my battery life! I feel so disappointed to this place which I always go to place for my auto, now it has take off from my list! Won’t go back Anymore!

To make a long review short... just use Interstate Auto Repair, plain and simple.I moved to Chandler a year ago and needed a new auto shop in the area. I found Interstate Auto Repair on Google and noticed their 5 stars reviews so I decided to give them a try. These guys are AMAZING!!!I took my 2000 Ford Explorer (have fun finding parts) in because the driver seat completely broke into pieces. They took their time to search everywhere for a replacement seat that would match, fit, and was in good condition. They found one in a different state and expedited it to their shop. Unfortunately, the seat didnt work out, but no worries.... they didnt leave me hanging. They welded the seat back together and reinforced it, which I am beyond happy with.I worked with Jeremy, Russ, and Keith in regards to the work being done and they were very courteous and honest each and every time I talked to either one of them. When I picked up the vehicle I had a question about a preexisting issue with the Explorer and Keith went out of his way to address it. Thank you Keith!!!Every employee I came across at the shop (that I didnt directly work with) were very nice and professional to me. They are VERY reasonably priced and will not sell you on things you dont need. I will be using them as my go to auto shop.

I was unable to open my driver door from the inside, everywhere I called for estimates I received very high pricing, when requested quote from Interstate Auto I was very impressed with the professional demeanor from the staff, everyone was polite and courteous and pricing and wait time was exceptional. Color me confused.A year ago we bought a very nice one-owner vehicle from an elderly couple with only 35,000mi on it to use at our Phoenix home for when we visit the grand-kids from out-of-state. The only flaw was that the steering wheel was about 1/2 off-center when driving straight down the interstate. The car does not wander, and will track straight hands-off for maybe 1000ft on a straight road, then prefers to drift very slightly left, depending on the slant, or crown, of the pavement.We decided to take it in to a shop to have the alignment checked and the toe reset so the wheel would be perfectly straight (annoying to look at it off). The tires are wearing perfectly evenly, so I had no reason to suspect anything was really wrong.We arrived on time for our appointment and were led to a nice waiting room where there was a TV and coffee .After about an hour and a half later, the pleasant young counter gal came in and said, I am afraid we have bad news for you; we cannot align your wheels. Shocked, I asked why. She replied, You tie rods are all broken, and it will cost $400 to have them replaced so we can align the wheels.I own and operate an automotive repair shop in our home state and specialize in front end, brake, and suspension work, and my dad fed our family for 40 years before that with a front end alignment and brake shop of his own (I did not mention any of this to Interstate, of course.), so I am not ignorant about vehicle suspension and steering systems by any means.I asked her, You are saying the outer tie rod ends are broken at only 40,000 miles? She then told me, no, its your inner ones, and they are bad.None of he techs in the office came forward to say a single word to us when I obviously asked for a more thorough explanation. I said that we didnt have time for the job to be done, and I said we would address it the next time we were in town. We asked for our vehicle and left.I found a place to safely have my wife wiggle the steering wheel wife I looked and felt, under the vehicle looking for lost-motion ( commonly known as play that would indicate worn tie rod ends, which are ball type joints that connect the steering rack to the steering arms and to the wheels). There was none I could sense. I then grabbed the front and rear of each front tire and tried to make each deflect L/R without moving the steering wheel, which would indicate looseness in the rod ends. NONE was evident.So I took the car to another suspension shop for a Free Inspection and they came back saying everything felt tight, and no work was needed, but they would do an alignment for the cosmetic condition of the not-perfectly-straight steering wheel if I wanted, but strictly speaking, it was not needed.We were leaving the next day to fly home, and by this time it was too late in the day to get the alignment this trip, but I just have a bad taste in my mouth about Interstate.The next time we visit, I WILL take the car to a shop that will hopefully allow me to at least watch while they do the brief pre-alignment check (looking for worn parts with the car on the alignment rack indicating Interstate was ultimately correct), before actually doing the alignment. If there IS a problem at only 40,000 mi (which would surprise me greatly), I will edit my rating on Interstate, but for now, the jury is out as far as I am concerned.

BEST SHOP IN TOWN Quality work and Amazing service. I have know the owner of the shop for 10 years and he has been the only mechanic I let work on my truck. The owner will never sell you something you dont need and will explain exactly what he is doing and why he is doing it. If you need something done on your vehicle you should at least stop by and talk with the staff you will probably end up staying and having the work done.

I drive weird foreign cars, repair, rebuild, and race them myself. So nothing is more weird and foreign to me than my Ford F-150.After three years of nearly trouble free driving of my 200k mile 4x4 06 Lariat, it started to display symptoms of needing to have money spent on it. It developed a shudder which could have been ignition, transmission, or torque converter. That was bad. Then the AC stopped working. That was intolerable.So I considered trying to diagnose and fix it myself using YouTube videos and ignorance as my guide - age, experience, and reason won.I chose Life.I read reviews, found Interstate having some of the best within easy range of my home in Chandler, AZ, and took it to them.It was the ignition system (far less spendy than any of the other possible problems) and a bad AC hose (far less spendy than a compressor, which Id replaced 13 months before - just out of warranty.)They fixed it up, and I was on my way.A week later, the problems resurfaced. I took it back, fully expecting a bad head gasket, and a live or die decision for keeping the truck.Live meant spending the money to fix it.Die meant getting what I could out of this relatively good ol truck, and trying to find something newer (ever priced newer pickups? Like $35k for a 6 year old Tundra comparable to the F-150 I have? Whut?)Interstate COULD have taken advantage of me here.Instead, I got a call that the problem was a defective FoMoCo Motorcraft spark plug, and a broken tab on the AC compressor connector.Total charge for the return visit could have been $2000+, and honestly Id probably have paid it.They were totally honest, and charged me exactly $0 (and an apology for having to come back).Finding a place you can trust to not take you to the cleaners every time they turn a wrench is pure gold these days.

I called the Ford dealer to do the tuneup on my 07 FX4 quote was 1100 WITHOUT the additional cost if one breaks off and I knew some would break off. Well my Dad uses these guys ONLY on his Toyota so I called and they quoted me about $400 less. They dont take advantage of you like Kevin Spacey would. They did break one off but I bet if I took it somewhere else, if one did break they would have said oh sorry 3 broke. This was about two years ago. I am just getting this review done now because I have to take my Challenger in for brakes and oil and they arethe ones who came to mind to do the work. I will update later this week with the results on the Challenger.

I went there specifically asking the guy that helped me if my car was okay for vegas. I asked him 3 times Im taking it to vegas are you sure its okay? He kept saying nothing was wrong with my car. I paid $330 for god knows what because on my way to vegas guess what happens ?? MY CAR BREAKS DOWN!!!!!! The transmission was trash. The car was trash. I should have never trusted his word ! But Im a girl I dont know much about cars. I regret coming. I use to come here and wanted to make it regular because I didnt trust corporate places but never again!! Thanks a lot ! My trip was ruined.
