We have a Kenmore refrigerator with a broken compressor. Called to get it fixed. Earliest possible appointment was two weeks away so Sears offered another company they would help schedule to be able to use my warranty. Came out and said it was the compressor but had to still order the parts and then see when they could fit the repair in because their schedule was packed. They even charged my card before the technician even came out which they said they would not do without my approval. I tried to order the part myself from Sears and and they said I would have to pay it and then get reimbursed later. Not sure if they would even reimburse even though under warranty. Complete waste of time. Still don’t have a working fridge and have a bill for $260.

Service department will schedule repairs, two weeks out by the way, then no technician will bother showing up! Zero communication about my scheduled and text verified service that the tech would not show up. Service scheduling department is clueless, only to say staffing issues, then wanted to schedule me out another two weeks. This experience was a complete waste of my time.

Had a guy come out today for $79 for my washer to just call Samsung and tell me that per the codes on the washer, they will cost over $700 to fix. He didnt try to manually fix anything. So going from what the codes told him. Got-up and left and took my $79. He didnt even try to manually see what was wrong with the unit. I would not recommend this repair location. Incompetent personnel.

All involved seemed to know what they were doing, which was nice!The man who came to install the ice maker lowered his mask for a while. When I asked him why he had lowered it, he said it was hard to breathe with it on & do what he was doing. He did, however, simply raise the mask back up, which was greatly appreciated!

Made an appointment to fix what I thought was a leak in my washing machine. Making an appointment was very easy and the technician showed promptly and was courteous. However, the technician stated he was pretty sure where the leak was coming from and ordered a part which cost me $260 (part + labor). After the technician left, I discovered it was not my washer leaking but the leak was inside the wall. Granted, I should have noticed it earlier but I am very disappointed that the tech was going to replace a part that was not broken because he was pretty sure what the problem was. Called a plumber to come fix the actual leak. Now have to wait 24 hours to call and cancel my payment to Sears.

This has been the worst experience we have had in getting an appliance repaired. We had a repair technician come out and he scheduled the repair for our oven. Their soonest appointment was 1 month out but we felt like we had to take the appointment so the cost of the first appointment could be applied to the repair. The day of the repair we get an email that says that the parts are being mailed to us. We didn’t receive the parts, so we call customer service and they tell us that the part hasn’t been mailed, so they can’t do the repair. We tell them that we want a refund. A few days later, guess what we receive...you guessed it...the parts that they said had not been shipped. We call back to see if they can do the repair soon since we now have the parts. They schedule the repair to be done in a few days. We received 2 text messages confirming the repair appointment. The day finally comes for the repair and the technician calls right at the start of the repair time window. We are feeling optimistic that our repair will finally take place. Wrong! They tell us that we are in the refund process so they must be coming to pick up the parts. We explain the whole story and the technician keeps having to call the manager and the manager continues to say they won’t do the repair. We still have no working oven.

Customer service representative assured me the 99.00 service fee would be applied to the cost of the repair on my 2 year old kenmore freezer doot that came off the hinge. I was charged almost 400.00 just to tighten a bolt. No parts.or anything. Once I realized the fee was not rolled into the outrageously overpriced repair I called the representative back in shock about the cost and the fees not being rolled into it. She denied stating she said it upon making the appointment. I was then told that I would get an coupon via email both by her and corporate I have yet to have recieved it. This was two months ago.

We were kept informed via email of the progress and arrival time of the repairman, very much appreciated. The repair was quickly diagnosed and fixed, and so far it appears that he did an excellent job, no further issues. Very impressed with the service and I will use Sears again. Only downside, it was expensive, but it may be the same rate as charged by other repair companies as far as I know.

Mixed review; First, the timeliness of service was not acceptable. I called for an appointment on Monday and they came out on Friday morning, so 4 days with no hot water; Second, once they came and diagnosed the problem, they had no water heaters in stock to replace, the soonest they could replace the unit would have been in a month; Third, even though they could not fix/replace the unit, they still charged me full price to basically come out and tell me that the unit was leaking and needed to be replaced.The only good thing about the experience was the technician was courteous and polite, even tried get a discount on the service call, which was denied by corporate office.

Mike was awesome! He took the time to walk me through how he determined the issue with my washing machine. Then he recommended care instructions and actually cleaned out my drum for me. He also cleaned up the water that had leaked out of my machine. Mike didnt rush, he took his time which made me feel good. If every repair person was like Mike I think all customers would have a great experience.

I sent Sears out for a Property Management client. The first time they went out, the technician had no clue as to how to even turn the Oven on! Then we had to set up a second repair technician. The second technician was about to leave but right at the last minute was able to locate the issue. The gas line was behind the stove so he had to Pull the oven out to find it. If this is your genre, and what you do for a living, I feel they should have known this. Then my client would not have had to wait so long to use their oven.

Repair man was great however it took them almost a month to fix the fridge. They dont carry the correct parts on their trucks and when they order them its sent to your house and then re-booking once you get the part is at least another week out. Will not use them again.

Sears is the worst company on the face of the Earth. I had my refrigerator go out in December and I called because I have a master protection agreement. They sent some idiot out to my house that unplugged it and plugged it back in and said that would reset it and fix it. He ordered some temp sensors to replace them later but said that wasnt the problem. I called and fussed and got them to send another guy out but it was a no show. Then when I threatened to sue another guy showed up and found the real problem of a compressor that went out. By the time they ordered it and got it installed I was without a fridge for 1 month. I filled out the request for food replacement reimbursement but havent heard anything for weeks now. Sears deserves to go bankrupt. Best thing that could happen.

My refrigerator went out on the 25th of September and the earliest a repairman could come was October 2. I lost a lot of food from the refrigerator and freezer. I was told that a loaner could be had but the repairman had to order it after he came to check what was wrong with the unit. I have a service contract and this is the first time I have been dissatisfied with Sears service.

I am very disappointed in my Goodman unit which is now only 4 years old and have had several different repairs on the unit and wish I had purchased one from Sears at the time. I had the worst service ever. My appointment was between 10-2, and no body showed up. I called them they said they were running late with no phone call to let me know. I had to reschedule at 5:00 pm that same day and he didnt show up utill 5:19! After 2 hours the technician said its not possible to fix our dryer:(

We had to order the malfunctioning part because they didnt have it in stock but the part came quite quickly. But when we had to schedule the service they said the following Monday, that Monday came and in the morning i got a call to tell me that technician had to go home sick so my service had to be reschedule until Thursday. I understand people get sick, the issue here is that they dont have more than one technician in the area?? We ended up with 11 days with no refrigerator. And when trying to submit reimbursement for all of our wasted food, the site wasnt working so we couldnt submit it, what a coincidence!! After repair the fridge has been working fine...oh forgot to say our Kenmore Elite is only 1yr and 3mos old!!!

The refrigerator died, I called and service was 48 hours later. I lost all the food in the refrigerator and the freezer. I was told to take pictures of all the food for the repairman, which I did. I said it was a total loss and wrote that on the receipt. The repair was completed and he said I would receive a check in the mail. Its been about a month, so I called to inquire about the check. NOBODY told me I needed to fill out a claim form within 30 days of the service! I did not save the pictures on my phone because I was told by the repairman the food was a total loss for $250.00. I am so frustrated about this, I will NEVER use Sears for home warranty service again. There is no reason for the employee to mislead customers unless they have been told to.Update. It took 6 months for the reimburse MN sent check to be sent!

Price gouging service - had them come out for my washer -$350 to fix. Had to decline the service until I talked to my husband - so paid the $99 diagnostic fee. Called them back to schedule the repair 2 hours later - which required ordering parts first. They said I could not go ahead - but would have to start over and have another technician come out and I would have to pay another fee for that - in addition to the repair fee! spoke to supervisor - still would not waive the fee, nor go ahead and authorize the repair as estimated!! Total ripoff - did I mention my service window was 8 - 12 and the technician called me at 2 minutes before 12 to tell me he would be an hour late! DO NOT USE THEM!!

Not really sure what to say here but was my experience...All Sears service repairs do charge a Diagnosis Fee of $80 dollars.Ok i booked online a service call and they did arrive the next day within 1 hour of their promised appointment time.The repair man was obviously experienced and while it seemed he was not informed of my washers problem as i described in my online order form, he did know it was just the switch (the small sensor that knows when your washer lid is closed or not or it will not continue to the rinse and spin cycle, after i told him the washer stops after the wash cycle.)This little gem of a 2x2 inch plastic part (which just tells the machine the lid is closed) with standard quick attach wires cost another $150 dollar charge that included installation. Which took the repairman 15 minutes to do.Total bill was $230 dollars.To be honest a fair price would have been more like $130-175 for a house call, the $19 dollar part and the 15 minute installation.The repair was done quickly and with the proper part. My only problem is the price that Sears charges.

Although the usual service and technicians are above average, this time the technician claimed to be a washer and dryer tech and was not qualified to work on the refrigerator. The visit was a mere check up, but he misdiagnosed a potential problem which I later corrected. The technician was also 2.5 hours late (after the 4 hour window) without notifying.

It has taken 6 months to get our dishwasher (under warranty ) repaired and after 4 visits from technicians, they have declared it irreparable but we still dont have a replacement and the Sears staff have lied to us so many times that we dont believe we will get it replaced as it is now out of warranty. We have had to keep calling them as they never return calls or if they promise to call back they never do. My wife is very ill and we need sterilized dishes so without a dishwasher all dishes and cutlery has to be hand washed twice. The whole situation continues to be diabolical.

I have mixed reviews. Even though the repair man was courteous I felt that I was grossly overcharged for the repair.I provided the repair man with a sound recording off the noise the washer was making and he went right to the source by tipping the machine up, removing a plastic pulley guard and tightening the pulley bolt that had loosened for some odd reason. It took him a total of 15 minutes and I was charged over 150.00.I will consider using another repair company from here on.

I bought a refrigerator at sears. SEARS comes out WHENEVER THERE IS A PROBLEM...ALWAYS. My Mom bought one for almost $1000 more. For some reason when he left the alarm sounded and I couldnt get it off as the cancel button was too hard for me to push since I dont have good finger strength. Although the repairman was later than the appointed time, he called several times and I did get an automated call to let me know he was running late.He was very polite and apologized for the tardiness.He diagnosed the problem right away, the heater for the defroster had burned out, then proceeded to defrost the coils and replace the heater element.My fridge and freezer have been working great! Im very happy with the Sears repair service dept. and would recommend them!Thanks!!

I called Sears for the same issue that I was having: NO AIRFLOW IN ONE OF THE ROOM. The first tech that was send send that because my house is old and the room that was having the issue is the farthest the flow of the AC air is very minimal. He advised me to install another unit in the house if I want to have better result, and no other issue noted. I was not still sold on that so the next month following I got an email again from Sear offering me to have my AC check for annual check up. The last tech that Sears send me was great! He called me to verify what was the issue I am having. He called the Sears company to make sure that I am still covered and no cost of repairs. While he was up in our attic he saw that the vent was just detached and that was why the other room in my house wasnt getting enough air. Although servicing the vent was not covered, he took his time to just attached it back and now I have a much better flow of AC in that room again. Thank you for going out of out of your way!

Two service men arrived simultaneously. One repaired our Samsung frig and was efficient, competent and courteous. The other man was to repair our washing machine. He was intent on selling us insurance for our appliances, did not adequately assess the problem, ordered a part we did not need. I attempted 5 times to cancel him returning. It became obvious that my verbal and email communications were not being heeded. I was annoyed with the repeated calls. Very dissatisfied.
