I worked for this company in the Fayetteville NC area. Awesome company to work! Pay was on time excellent pay and the boss treated me with the up most respect as an employee. If you’re looking for a great part time job with not a lot of hours and great pay this is the company to work for!

I am extremely disappointed with the service (or rather lack thereof). I moved into a new building that requires you to pay for valet trash through Trash Butler. I’m the 3 months that I have lived here they have picked up my trash twice — and one of those I actually passed one of the workers on the hallway and had to bring it out to him. When I contacted customer service about the issue, they claimed that they couldn’t find my unit… which is odd because they picked up the trash for both neighbors on either side of me and across the hall from me. They LITERALLY had to walk past my unit to get to my neighbors. Additionally, the trash is in the trash can that they provided, with their name, logo and contact information across the front.I paid for another month of service for September and have yet to receive the service that I’ve paid for. Not only have I requested a refund for the month of September, but I am also asking my building if I can opt out of the service so that I don’t continue wasting money on a company who can’t seem to “find” my unit. If I could give them a negative rating I would, but Google made me settle for one star.

Trash Butler is NOT a good value.Ive been using the service at our apartment (we arent provided the option on whether we can use it or not). I would rather take the trash to the trash chute ourselves and save the excessive fee.Overpriced, they have left our recycling outside that was left according to our apartment guidelines and we arent refunded for those issues.Additionally its an eyesore for our apartment hallways for those who dont know how to abide by the apartment guidelines and I worry about rats since Trash Butler will leave the trash if the other residents dont bag/can and place the trash outside their doors properly because the Trash Butler employees will just leave the trash there in the hallways even if the other residents are unavailable for several days.

I am a resident at Avenue @ Creekbridge and since January we have been paying for Trash Butler for trash valet service. Since January we’ve had multiple issues — personally we’ve had non-trash items taken/thrown away (more than once), the person who picked up recently RIPPED OFF the top of the trash bin (pictured), unreliable as far as pickup time (sometimes they are strangely early before we are even supposed to put trash out but mostly they come as late as 1am and they are LOUD), to name a few. The most frustrating part of this “service” is the lack of service at all. Many times we have gone outside the next morning to find out trash hasn’t been picked up at all — as frequent as at least once a month. It’s not just my apartment, last night for example 2 entire buildings were “missed”. The property staff has reached out multiple times and are met with excuse after excuse, nothing ever changes. As a tenant I am charged $25/month for this (lack of)service and implore you to hire another trash service if you want one that will actually do what they are paid to do.

Trash valet is included in our monthly rent; however, our trash is never consistently picked up. To date, our trash has been sitting outside the front door for 4 days. I have contacted the leasing office in regards to this matter, and there has not been a change. We don’t have a problem taking out our own trash, but I do have a problem paying for a monthly service that I do not receive. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed ASAP.

Trash Butler is a great company with a reliable service provided to multi-family homes.

My apartment provide valet trash through trash butler here in Texas. Normally they are not on time. Yesterday this is what I got when I opened my door to grab the bin back.

The trash can lid is designed to close immediately. You cant even leave it open to put multiple items in it. Cleaning off a plate after dinner means you have to hold the lid open with one hand and somehow figure out how to do the rest with only one hand. This company sucks.

We live on the water, they left this steps from the ocean all night because they were to lazy or arrogant enough to clean it up after dropping it, would not recommend at all, no concern for us our health or the health of the environment, very unprofessional would not recommend at all .

Ive been with this company for almost three years. Its a great part time job. The district manager I have in Denver CO is great always communicating with me always there if I have any issue. I would highly recommend this company if your looking to supplement your income

Trash Butler is a land of opportunity. If you have the drive and a vision there is a place for you. There are not many organizations that you can serve in and be a part of the building process. I started out as a Butler ( the person providing the nightly doorstep trash valet service) and I was able to work my way up to a management position even though I didn’t have a college degree. As a Butler it allowed me to make great money working a couple of hours a night so that I could stay at home with my kids. For other guys and gals that I knew it allowed them to have a steady income while working their own small businesses during the day. Overall great opportunity!!

This company goes above and beyond the call of service in the valet waste industry in a big way. They care about the communities they service- They even help provide an extra set of eyes and ears in the community helping to report things that might go unnoticed without management or maintenance doing daily walks of the whole property- they do it nightly included with their already excellent service!

Could not agree more with the critical reviews posted here. This company is absolutely terrible. We pay a monthly fee to collect trash. A very simple service. One extra grocery bag on the ground and they refuse to collect all the trash?? Instead they leave a citation. How hard is it to just collect one extra bag? At least collect the main bag that is tied and following your ridiculous rules. They leave citations like you are breaking the law. We never had a problem with our previous trash collection service. Highly recommend other apartment complexes avoid hiring this ridiculous company. They don’t care about their customers.

Trash guy purposely left my trash at the door, and had ducks/ cats bite it open... The last trash company our apartment had was way better than this one! Some people act as if they were forced to fill out an application, go on the interview & do the job These people !!

I would give a negative star rating. NEVER work for this company. They do not care about their employees whether you are a butler or a district manager. The VP is arrogant and has major temper issues. Taylor Wilson will tell you how you need to get the job done but has she ever lifted a finger to pick up a bag of trash? 100% no. If you live at an apartment that offers trash butler- tell the complex you will not live there because they are the worst trash valet. If you are a butler- you should quit- does this company really value you? Sure- you get a money ball or a gift card but is that really worth you picking up the trash from apartments if you don’t get any appreciation outside of your district manager? This company is only looking to grow their business and they do not care how it is happening. Corporate tells the field how to do things and they don’t know anything about the area, time traveled, or time spent with the company. Not to mention when you resign from the company they repost the same position for 10k more for salary than they were paying you and expect you to purchase the boxes and bubble wrap at the UPS store and turn it in to be reimbursed. Oh - and are you a new butler? Odds are they will cut your budget too- this place is the worst. Do not work here.

They just started their service in Huntsville AL at the Artisan apartments. We put our trash out on time, with a bag of broken down tied cardboard soda boxes next to it. They didn’t pick up our trash or the bag next to our trash can. Poor reflection of your service on Day 1. I would recommend apartment complexes stay away from this brand. *Artisan Apt 231

This service is fantastic I absolutely hated taking my trash downstairs then putting it on the trunk of my car to take it to the dumpster. I now can easily put it right outside my front door and it disappears thanks to my own trash Butler dude. Why have food and groceries conveniently delivered to your front door but then have to take the smelly messy trash out??? Makes no senses to me either. Love the service guys. Keep up the good work.

For getting paid for something that we can easily do ourselves, they have a lot of petty stupid rules. They leave you a “citation” on your door threatening to not do their job that we are paying them for. Just pick up the garbage like you are getting paid for and stop whining like a child if 1: my garbage is on the ground. Or 2: I went grocery shopping over the weekend, like most normal people (when you don’t pick my garbage up) and I have more than 3 tiny bags of garbage for your butler to pick up.Just do your job and stop with the stupid citations threatening to not do what you are getting paid for.

First off I hate this service with a passion!! There are so many tiny stipulations on what you can throw away and if you break one of those rules, they leave a stupid note on your door. What we left out shouldnt have been a problem, pick up the bag and throw it away!! Is it really that hard?I honestly miss the dumpsters because you could throw stuff away whenever you wanted and not have trash sitting in your house all day or all weekend. Also you have big items sitting in your house because those don’t match the regulations to be picked up!!This service is a joke and if I could, I would cancel it, but I can’t because it’s up to my apartment.
