I had a swimsuit I needed altered. I needed the waist enlarged 1 inch. I took it to three places before I found someone who had enough skill to do it correctly. She consulted with me on what exactly I wanted, made idea suggestions on how to do it and it turned out better than I could have ever hoped. Fits perfect and you cannot tell its even been altered.

Ive been going to Nancy at Hyde Park Alterations for years. Prior to that I tried many other tailors in the S. Tampa area and none compare to Nancy! She provides the best quality work in the area and if you need any garments altered Id strongly suggest using her. Shes the best!

I HIGHLY SUGGEST DOING BUSINESS ELSEWHERE..Very unprofessionaly ran business. I was treated rude and the work she does is very subpar for what she charges. Refuses business on things she doesnt feel like doing and changes prices according to whom it is for... She literally told me that as she charged me more than offered moments before.. This is not how business should be ran!!

Top notch! Much better quality and experience than McNatts Dry Cleaner. Alteration work on my military uniforms was performed flawlessly and in good time. Did a fantastic job with stain removal. I couldnt recommend more highly!

I took a pair of jeans in for hem. She charged me $20.00 Got my jeans back and a 10 year old could do a better job. Not happy the hem is all messed up .Not a professional job like they say. Would show photo but they dont have an option on website for one or I would post one.....

A hidden gem in Hyde Park! This is one of those best kept secret types of places. Its tucked away in a strip center off Platt, so if you dont find out about it through word of mouth, you might not ever stumble upon it. Thankfully I heard out about it from some friends, and boy am I glad I did! What makes this place special is the owner/operator, Nancy. Shes like your sweet grandmother who patiently and lovingly mended your clothes for you when you were little. Shes been in the South Tampa market for decades, and has built quite a following over the years, as youd expect. Shes serious and focused on her work, so if youre the type of person that likes to be coddled with lip service, this might not be the place for you. But what she lacks in effusiveness, she more than makes up for in professionalism and attention to detail. Its clear that she takes great pride in her work and doesnt feel the need to try to win you over with a bunch of empty talk; she lets the quality of her work do the talking. Highly recommended and could not be more conveniently located for Hyde Park residents!

Called ahead for an appointment time .I told the woman I was here for my appointment and she said the seamstress was out and she guessed the seamstress would be back soon. I asked about general pricing and was told I dont know you have to wait for her I explained I needed this later in the week and was told she probably cant do that. If I just walked in I could understand if someone stepped out for a moment. However I was told to be there at a certain time. Also, how can a store, that has been open all morning be left in the hands of someone who doesnt have any information.I normally dont write negative reviews as every experience is different but mine was completely unprofessional.

Nancy is the most skilled seamstress I have ever met. She takes her time and always exceeds my expectations. I only trust her to do my alterations. I tried another shop one time and the workmanship wasnt as good on a pencil skirt. I only trust Nancy with my formalwear and also my daughters prom dresses and have always been thrilled with the results.

Hyde Park Alterations & Dry Cleaners is a life saver. I sat in bird poop the first time wearing a brand new pair of pants and brought them in to get the stain removed. I returned the next day for my pants and found that the stain no longer existed, and that my pants were as good as new. Very thankful for their services and their continuous effort to go above and beyond to make their customers happy.

BEWARE: Hyde park Alterations is the most unprofessional, disorganized place I have ever encountered! My wedding dress was due to be ready this week! Called this am to check on it, was told she was getting ready to send it for cleaning. Cleaning she had previously told me would take 4 weeks. I was obviously confused as to why a dress shes had for 2 MONTHS was just not being sent to be cleaned the week the dress was due to be back in my possession. I was sooo confused I just said, ok bye. Then I sat and stewed about it. Called her back again to clarify what time frame we were looking at now and she tell me approximately 6 more weeks is needed!!!!! Mind you my wedding is in 8 weeks! She never once apologized never once even contacted me to let me know what was going on!!!! Im sitting at work, livid and finally have to leave my job so I can go there in person. She tells me again that shell have it done by May 23!!!!!!! My wedding is June 1. Her excuse: the cleaning company is behind. Not once did I receive a phone call letting me know of this delay or even an apology!!!!!! I got (most) of my money back took my dress and am now looking for a new alterations person! Please dont let this happen to another bride!PS: not 1 thing had been done to my dress that she has had for 2 months!

Update: Quality and value have decreased since I first started frequenting this business. Originally was worth the high cost but now am going to find a different dry cleaner/alterations shop.

Nancy saved the day when I needed a dress hemmed in just two days for a wedding and was turned down by my regular place. It was my first experience with Hyde Park Alterations and Nancy and she still went out of her way to help me. I cannot thank her enough for the beautiful, quality job she did on such short notice. That may have been my first visit, but it wont be my last.
