Cool spot, unfortunately booked an appointment for a later date so I took whomever was open. Was the guys first haircut, super nice guy and half-way decent haircut (needed some tips from other barbers).I would have came back, however, its a cash only spot (sign on the door I didnt see); no big deal being cash only..HOWEVER the atm they put in there charges $4.00 plus your banks $2.00 fee making it $6 to take your own money out.They were all aware it was my first time at this place and could have reiterated it was cash only for a nice heads up. Could have also let me know this barber was brand new to cutting hair to make sure I was okay with being a guinea pig.tips for owner, how about you dont charge your customers $6.00 to get cash out to pay you. Why make your customers incur a fee to pay for services since you obviously dont want to pay a small % to swipe a CC.

I was told this was a great place to get a hot shave. I met a friend on the way in and we had a conversation near the front door. After a few minutes, a Barber comes out and rudely tells us to move because we are blocking the view. He says the customers want to see the “view”,not us. I like it here. First tried em out when I was new to the area about a year ago and received a solid cut from each guy. Can talk as much or as little as you want. Also liked the walk-in, first come first serve, model prior to covid requiring appointments.

So I decided to try and trim my husbands hair and it was horrible...we happened upon this gem when I was hoping someone could save his hair! They were super personable and did a FANTASTIC job! The prices are extremely reasonable and we will not be going anywhere else. Literally thought my husband may have to be shaved clean because of my horrible hair cutting lol but they made him look amazing!Also I have a before pic of my mess up and then during the trim and after! I wish I would have gotten the barbers name, he was awesome!

Great place, very relaxing and enjoyable environment. The staff are very friendly and professional. 17 $ for a haircut and 25 $ with beard shave. They only accept cash, they dont do appointments. Wait time is ok averages between 10 to 30 minutes.

If you are Hispanic, do not go to this place. It looks like they only serve their own kind. ( white ) Ask about a cut, all three guys looked at me and say NOP, we are booked. Not even an attempted to get a new customer. I am brand new to seminole height from Miami, will definitely take my business somewhere else!

These barbers are great. Never had a bad hair cut, or beard trim. The place has an old school vibe with a touch of modern. They even have free drinks while you wait, offer a senior discount, and offer cuts for all types of hair.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and it’s always a great quality cut. At least for the style I like, there’s surprisingly good “quality control” between the 3 main barbers so I don’t have to wait for a certain one to become available. Since they operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, I just advise avoiding peak times if you can (e.g., Saturday mornings).

A great little place for a clean shave and sharp cut. The banter and friendly atmosphere was relaxed and refreshing. These guys have been in the area for a while. Its a clean shop, decent prices, great music playing. Its cash only, so be prepared for that. I highly recommend. Ive been seeing a salon stylist for the last couple of years, but the quality of cut took a nosedive, so I opted for a barber shop cut. I wasnt disappointed.

What an excellent barber shop! For $17 ($25 if you include a beard trim), youll leave this place looking at least $100 better. Chris has always done a fine job with my hair, leading to a number of compliments from other members of society, both friends and strangers. Make sure to bring cash, as they do not accept credits cards, debit cards, or checks.

The guys are friendly, funny, and do a great job. My son and I would go nowhere else for a haircut. The atmosphere is great, too. The music is great, the album covers are used as decoration, the barber tools are kept in Craftsman tool chests and the barber chairs are the comfiest Ive ever experienced.

I typically dont leave reviews online, but The Heights Barber Shop is definitely one worth reviewing. Prior to living in Tampa, I resided in St. Augustine. I visited the same barber for four years and I was sure I would never find a place that could compare. After reading multiple reviews online, I decided to give The Heights a try. Completely worth it. I was nervous going in, but the cheerful, eclectic style of the shop, as well as the warm and friendly attitudes of both Chris and his clients made this shop one I will be going back to. I came into the shop with only a vague idea of what I wanted, and Chris was able to give me a fantastic haircut. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends, especially those in the USF area. For $17, this place is worth every penny. If youre on the fence about switching barbers, give this place a shot, you wont be disappointed.

Great place to get a haircut filled with barbers who take time and pride on their work. The shop has a great atmosphere filled with fun conversations and great music. However, beware some of the conversations might not be suitable for kids or people who get easily offended.

Just relocated to Tampa and stopped in here for a haircut. Keith did a great job and was very thorough and still quick. Very friendly and a nice clean environment. Glad to know of such a good barbershop so close to home.

Great place to get your haircut. The guys there are fantastic. The music selection playing is the best. Dont think you can reserve a time, just walk ins. The only hassle can be the wait time, but it just depends on when you get there really.

Cash only, no reservation, any barber there will do outstanding work, theyll cut standard old timer nothing trendy hair to the millennial loving disconnects and such. Theyll treat you with respect, and work with your requests.

This guy has cut my hair in the past. I have a short pomp basically a guys haircut. I walked in today and he was extremely rude. Saying, oh no a woman. I explained to him that he had cut my hair in the past. He flat out denied it Im assuming because there was a man in his chair. He then walks over to the door and says hes closing down the shop because mine will take too long. Literally all he has to do is shave the sides and back with a 2 and clean it up. He walks to the door and puts the curtain over the door because apparently that means they are closed. I left. I dont give my money to misogynistic men.

Unless you are their kind of customer this place is not for you. Tried them twice and the first barber, Derek, was nice and did a decent enough job for me to go back a second time though the original haircut wasnt exactly what I wanted. This time I got a very unwelcoming vibe just walking in the place. The guy that cut my hair this time was very hesitant about giving me a pretty typical haircut Ive gotten for like 20 years since it wasnt what seems like the house style (high and tight - a bit overdone for me). At the end though I usually dont use product I asked for a little hairspray since i was going to an interview and the guy literally made fun of me and told me to go to a beauty parlor. How rude can you be and to top it off the owner seemed to be working right next to this guy and didnt say a thing. I tipped him well since he took his time. Haircut is just OK but gotta say theyve lost my business. Extra star is for good music.

The best barber shop Ive been to. They are busy so you might have to sit a bit but the jokes are funny and the people are easy going. If you want a rushed hair cut, take your ass to kwiki Kuts. If you want your barber to take their time and give you the best cut possible, you go to the heights. This is the place for clean cuts, razor shaves and beard shaping.

I went in with my boyfriend several weeks back.. There were many people waiting and we were not well received. The barber that cut hair in the front, which I assume from the conversations with the others, was the owner. He was tactless and abrasive. I found him very offensive. His haircut was decent, but his character and behavior was intolerable. My boyfriend and I will not return to this business, despite the rave reviews that have been posted.

I just moved from orlando where I went to the same barber for 5 years, and I wasnt happy about having to find a new one, but I found Chris (the walk-in barber) on my first try and couldnt have been more pleased. Really down to earth guy who loves his craft. Its beyond just a job for him and it shows in the final product. The prices are higher than Supercuts or the like, but you pay for what you get. Quality hair cuts from a quality guy deserve a quality fare. I havent gotten the shave yet, so i cant speak to that, but Id assume its in-line with the quality of the haircut.

Worst hair cut ever some barber named chris gave me the worst hair cut of my life dont know how the are in business giving these types of sevices to customers I would never go back and would never refer anyone to this place did not know how to give a straight edge my side burns were uneven my top of my hair was choped all uneven.
