The haircuts are good. Unfortunately they were not following CDC guidelines for unvaccinated staff to wear a mask. While that was irresponsible, at least they were kind enough to call and let me know my barber tested positive for Covid and I’d been exposed. Despite having been fully vaccinated, I got sick and was out of work for two weeks, risking exposure to my family and others. Now that I’ve recovered, I’ve taken my business elsewhere.

We have been to so many barber shops to get my boys a haircut. And we are almost always disappointed. We try to explain to the barber what we want and give them a little autonomy and ask them for help and they never can but not at roosters. At roosters they have experienced barbers and beauticians who actually help us pick the right haircut for our kids and then they deliver on the product. Always good haircut great experience if youre of age theyll give you a free beer and if youre not theyll give you a free soda whatever you want. Its a great place love it!

I checked out a couple of places before finding Roosters, and this was definitely the spot for me.The place is clean, people are friendly and price is reasonable, but by far the most important to me, I can get consistently great haircuts (shout out thanks to Jules).Highly recommend, would give 6 stars if I could.

Not just because theyre all skilled barbers (although they are very, very good at what they do), but all the intangible qualities you want at a barber shop (good vibe, funny barbers, personable people, going over the top, etc ) all those intangibles they have in spades.

To start off waited 20 minutes when I had an appointment. Asked to a low fade and ended up getting my neck tapered... went crazy with the thinning sheers, I even showed buddy a picture of me and how I get my hair cut... I don’t care to write reviews but all these positive reviews on here are super misleading. If you want an actual fade just go to a real barber.

Ive been going to Rooster in SOHO for a couple months and I always come out clean with a solid fade. Tatiana is my go-to and always hooks me up with the perfect cut im looking for. From the moment you walk in you know its a professional setting. They offer you a cold water or soda and make you feel very comfortable. Their online scheduling is one of my favorite aspects as I can get everything taken care extremely easily. 5/5 recommend this place. Now time to find places to go to so that I can show off my new haircut 😏

Use to go all the time and it was good. Moved away from Tampa for awhile. I moved back and got my hair cut. Got charged $30, the haircut took 15 mins, didn’t do anything to my beard and left my hair wet from the hair wash with it being 50 degrees outside. Likely won’t return.

You really owe it to yourself to check this place out. I had an Angel named Dayna work on my hair and the whole experience was magical. The delicate care and attention I received was heart warming and I left feeling so much better. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you Roosters, I hope to be back soon. ^_^

Came in to get my haircut today, I usually go somewhere cheaper but I wanted to treat myself to a nice cut.Right away, John made me feel comfortable and handled my hair with excellent care! He cut my hair beautifully, and I am definitely coming back to request him.It was a very nice atmosphere and I really felt like I got my hair cut by a professional. Ive been coming here for a few years now getting my hair cut specifically by Dayna, and I cant say Ive ever received a better haircut by anyone else. Shes consistent, thorough, and her attention to detail is impeccable. If youre looking for a new barber/barbershop, I highly recommend coming here and asking for her and you wont be disappointed.

This is my second review of Roosters. This place is amazing! Unfortunately Jose was off on the day I needed my haircut, so I made an appointment with Teresa. Not to discount Jose (who’s amazing), but Teresa gave me the BEST cut I’ve EVER received. I’ve had so many compliments on how clean-cut I look that I couldn’t even consider a different barber.I just hope Jose and Teresa are always available, because it’s one thing to have generic comments on your haircut (“oh, you got a haircut, it looks good”), but it’s an entirely different level to have compliments on it (“wow, your hair looks great! Was that a $100 SoHo cut?”)! This is the most professional place I’ve been to since my last barber, and there is literally nothing negative I can say about Roosters. I’ll be going here as long as they’re in business, even though it’s a bit of a drive from my house!They deserve the 35% tip I leave ($12 on a $34 cut). Don’t question it. Just go here and see for yourself why they’re worth your time and money. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. Clean, professional, included refreshments, amazing staff, and an accessible location. Find me a better barber. I’ll wait!

I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early because I respect other peoples time. After waiting 10 minutes past my scheduled time my barber came out of the back room and got another person who had also come in after me. So rather than wait another 30 minutes I chose to leave and will find Another barber

My previous barber moved away, so I had to find a new one. Here’s how it went:This was the best haircut experience I’ve ever had. I booked a same-day appointment with Jose, was offered and given a drink as soon as I walked in, and love the cut. I showed Jose a picture of what I wanted, and he didn’t say “okay I’ll try.” Instead he’s like “yeah I can do that.” He hit the nail on the head, and I’ve had nothing but compliments since.This place is clean, the staff are incredible, and these barbers have experience. I have to say, I’ll be coming back as long as they’re in business. If you’re put off by the price vs a place like Great Clips, don’t worry. You’ll get a haircut, a neck shave, a shampoo wash, and product applied for the bit of extra money you’re spending. Worth every penny. Can I give 6 stars?

I scheduled an appointment with Erica and then modified the time with the online scheduling service. I received a call saying I was late and when I told them I moved the time and had a confirmation number they told me that spot was filled. The online scheduling is very unreliable.

$30 haircut for free after my hair stylist nicked my ear, not a big deal but has never happened to me before. I was impressed by the way the staff handled the situation, first aid + full service free of charge and a $5 off next visit coupon. Hair looks nice and my ear healed without any scarring so its all good.

My wife told me to find somewhere to get a better haircut. I figured I’d try this place. It cost more than I’m used to paying, but she loved my new ‘do. A happy wife is a happy life, so this is my new place.

I have been a Roosters customer for over one year now after living in Tampa for the past six. For years, I tried all of the cheaper chain barber shops and found the experience to always be average to below average. It is true that you get what you pay for. While Roosters is certainly more expensive (more then double of that of Supercuts/Great Clips), the positive experience has made it worth it. No longer do I have to wait a long time with screaming kids. No longer do I have a different person cutting my hair every visit. No longer do I get home and need to touch up my hair after a bad haircut.I have been going to see Kerry every 4-5 weeks now since last September and I cannot recommend him enough. He always does an awesome job on my hair, is hilarious to talk to and doesnt push product on me. Its great to finally have someone that knows me and how I like my hair cut, and that I can ask advice to on how to handle my hair. Kerry is the man and Im pumped to finally have a great barber. The shop is always clean, everyone is friendly and seems to get along and joke the whole time, which provides an awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out Roosters for your next haircut.

After getting a nice relaxing cut I got my hair washed and a warm towel placed around my face which was a first for me, it was very relaxing. Brilliant cut, quick and efficient.

Management is very unprofessional and does not know how to run a business. hair all over station, dirty sinks that they rinse clients out in. hot towels that they put on your face while shampoo stink badly like they have been sitting in the warmers for days upon days. will be sure to never recommend this place to friends and family. oh and btw none of the barbers care about the mask mandate..

Gabe is a master barber! Ive only received the best service when Ive been there. After years of bad haircuts at other chain barbershops or salons, last year I decided to try Roosters out. Ive not gone to any other place since. Gabe has been cutting my hair for close to a year now and every time has done an amazing job. Every time I get a fresh haircut Im asked where I get it done so I always recommend Roosters because of the awesome haircuts Ive gotten from Gabe. He takes his time to listen so you get what you ask for instead of the barber doing whatever they want. Hes precise, attentive, and talented. I strongly recommend him if you decide to go. The location itself is always clean and the service is great. Worth every penny!

Why do barbers face you away from the mirror; towards some other dude youd really rather not look at..? Then when you see how your haircut is going, its not what you want. First time walk in, overpriced, cant wait to go somewhere else and fix it,,, Too yuppie conservative for me.

I went to 5-10 barbers in Florida before who all seemed like they could potentially do a good job, but not in comparison to Dayna. I have been getting my haircut at military barber shops since 2003. Ive always been of the opinion that no one else would know how to give a proper military fade unless they give haircuts to service members on a regular basis. Yesterday, it was absolutely essential that I get a haircut. Due to the national day of mourning, the barber shop on base was closed. I searched Google maps for the nearest barber and found Roosters. They looked nice inside and I liked that I could make a reservation online.After this haircut at Roosters, Im fairly certain I will never need to go on base to get a haircut again. I cannot count how many hours of time Ive dedicated to driving to and from base and waiting in line. The Roosters is 5 minutes away from my house and I can make appointments. Not only that, but its more of a gentlemens experience than an assembly line and I can really appreciate that.Eye opening experience. Ill be back!

The kid seemed happy with the cut, smiling when he walked out. The dad came in upset, but paid and walked out in a huff....Mark was obviously disturbed that the dad wasnt pleased with his sons cut, and was able to catch him outside and give him a refund.

As far as haircuts go, Jose did a good job and it was perfectly fine haircut that looked good. I would be happy to give a good review on the haircut alone.As for customer service: I misspoke on the name of the haircut I wanted, didnt really know some of the terminology to describe the look I was going for or answer the questions with the right jargon. While I did the best I could, this resulted in him and namely one of the other barbers poking fun at me. Once or twice would have been fine, but they kept teasing me for not knowing all the correct terms. I come to a place like this to consult the people who DO know this stuff, not because I am the expert at all things involving hair.While the final outcome was good, Im going to keep looking for a regular place. No point on going somewhere that makes you feel dumb. This place is very pretentious and not the kind of place I want to give my business to.

Edit: my review is not problematic, although, thank you for assuming so. I can not review the barber because the service was so bad we never made it past the front desk. My boyfriend and I came in as a walk in. We stood in front of the front desk while the receptionist was on her phone and did not acknowledge us. It was not until the barbers continued to stare at us that one eventually greeted us from the wash station that she looked up. She was monotone and not welcoming at all. We made an appointment for later in the day but decided to cancel it and not come back after the experience.

Ive been coming here since this shop has opened. This barbershop defies the difference in a real gentlemen establishment to those other little fade shops. Good for all ages, and all style of cuts Ive seen done while getting my own. David the barber cuts my hair but of what Ive witnessed all the barbers are highly skilled. They all make you feel good and wanted. Added bonus, great location, if your waiting, tones of food establishments.

A little on the pricey side (at least compared to a lot of the other places around) but worth it. Ive been seeing Gabe for about a year and hes the man! Hes got a great personality and does an excellent and very consistent job with the cut. He always makes sure youre satisfied with the cut before you leave and Id highly recommend him.

Could not ask for a more relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for a haircut. They just added a little whiskey bar to have free drink while you get your haircut. I recommend Gabe 100%. Truly a relaxing experience.

I have a very unique haircut, according to the barber next to mine who thought I couldnt hear him... Heard a couple of the other barbers chuckled whom he was speaking with, so I was pretty embarrassed at that point and just wanted to leave. After my cut, I gave a tip cause it wasnt my barber who said the hurtful thing, and darted out the door. The place is nice, the barber I had was cool, but I dont think Ill be going back to get my cut there any longer... Sucks how one inconsiderate person can ruin a potential frequent customers intentions to ever come back, especially when that customer lives 2 blocks away and would have been coming back weekly.. I just moved into town and guess I will have to find another barber to be MY barber in Tampa

This is the first review that I have ever left because, quite frankly, I simply do not have the time. I have to make an exception in this case because my experience was so absolutely horrendous I would like to warn others prior to scheduling an appointment here.I moved about an hour north of Tampa a few days ago and I wanted to get a good cut and establish a relationship with a stylist near where I will be purchasing a home. I searched for mens grooming in Tampa as I am not usually a fan of run of the mil barbershops, and I am willing to pay top dollar for top notch service.I found Roosters and read the reviews and this booked an appointment with David as he has some raving reviews. As soon as I walked in the door I felt the judgemetal uh oh look. I try not to think this way but it was confined when David attempted to pass me off to another stylist. Look, all of my things are in transition from NYC so I was wearing a nice cut pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Perhaps the double nose hoop and long hair intimidated the guy, or maybe he assumed, because Im Latino that I wouldnt tip. In any event, I explained that I travelled an hour out of my way to book with him but he didnt seem interested. I should have walked out then, but I didnt because I didnt want the woman to think I was being sexist. (I dont care who cuts my hair, as long as they know what they are doing and are attentive and actually LISTEN to their clients. Not the case here. All I know is that this woman didnt listen to what I wanted, she made assumptions and simply decided to cut along.Her skills with the scissors and clippers alike leave much to be desired, to say nothing about the way she spoke while I was in her chair. I am a professional in the film industry, and although I am very down to earth and humble, I am not a fan of racist conversation. I feel like they judged me as a street guy so they plugged me with the street stylist.Not cool at all. At the end David was apologetic and I did not have to pay for the cut. Yet, I still left a $20 tip because I wanted to show these people that I am a man of integrity and class.I am now currently sitting in a beautiful little lounge waiting to get cut by one of the guys at Cigar City Barbershop.
