We have found our new barber! JL was amazing and had my lil man looking tight when he walked out. JL was able to fix the mess that Headlines made of my sons afro...and then some. We made an appointment and didnt have to wait long. Everyone had on masks and his area was nice and clean. With JL, its the attention to detail that stands out. Very Disappointed here in Tampa at the University Mall Boyz 2 Men Barbershop or should I say theyve possibly regressed to Men 2 Girls! I basically asked a few questions not clearly understanding the posted stand menu and the head barber was very unkind and combative. Talking to me as if I was a child and then engaging and challenging me in barber rhetoric as if I was a Professional Barber. I knew what I wanted and was trying to make things as simple as possible, but this gentleman seem to have prejudged me from the gate. Furthermore, I being the next man up as he noted and there being no specific barbers for the taking sat there waiting and believing I would be next on his radar, but no, he passed me off for a nice young lady who kindly and politely cuts my hair unevenly. I gave him the details on what I specifically wanted and you wouldve thought he wouldve shared that with her, but it was as if he simply wanted to punish me ... he wouldnt even look me in my face. I kindly tipped the lady and said good day to the head barber leaving out. Nevertheless, I simply gave this place $25 for something I couldve done myself. Tell me why do barbers throw prospects to lower barbers on the first visit. I would think if you want prospects to be clients youll give them your best. Moreover, Ill never return to this place and believe God to exact all Ive lost in money, humiliation, time, and other possible opportunities. Vengeance is mine; saith the LORD, I will repay. I sat down and I was asked what I wanted to get done, I requested a low bald fade and he asked me if I had a picture, I didnt and he went on to lecture me about why I didnt have a picture and that if he would go see a new barber he would be ready with a picture, Dude its a FADE, tried to explain to the best of my ability and I said its a regular fade with a #1 with the edges bald and he said that he didnt know if I was sure about what I wanted because I didnt look like the norm of someone that usually requests that type of haircut, well excuse me if I cant afford to get my haircut every week or two at this time so he when to the back and started talking to another employee about something and all I see is both if them shaking their heads. I personally dont know what I did wrong but I believe he could of handled it better being the manager and all or maybe since I was his first customer he wasnt in the mood I really dont know. I told him not to worry about it and walked out.

Will never ever go there again I took my boys to get a haircut I was better off going to a cosmetology school and pay $5 for a haircut it’s not like they messed up 1 haircut if not both, I seriously would want my money back their hair is uneven and their edges are horrible never ever will I come here.

Man I waited 2hours for my 2year old son hair cut it never happen at all. The front desk kept. Telling us we up next. But nun of the barbers wanted to cut my son hair and the front desk knew that but still let us. Waste our 2 hours on a good Saturday😤. Nun of the staff is professional and they really need better management. Never again will I step foot in that wack service bullshit

Be careful any of them touching your hair beside David. They will mess it up. I want there and the guy kept moving the chair left and right as well he keeps moving too much he made one side rounded and the other side with an edge. I paid $20.00 for Daveid because he fixed it up. I am not going back to them because of that guy.I asked him to use the machine, he he used the scissor. I told him why, he said oh I forgot. 😒

Very pleased! Always had a fear of barber shops, they either would cut to close or was clueless. Very professional, was greeted with a smile and a lil entertainment. lol. The barber ask questions, made suggestions and did magic on my cut! I left a happy customer! Thank you, I’ll be back!

No receptionist at the front desk. Dirty and I stood there for 10 mins without one person bothering to come up and ask me if I wanted a cut. I just left. For a first impression. Would never go there and would tell anybody I know not to go there.
