This is one of my most favorite shops are around. Honest and trustworthy is the first thing that comes to my mind. Their exhaust work is superb!

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY HERE!! DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE!! They kept telling me my car had certain issues that it didn’t have and a new issue always arises when they give me car back, they are money hungry and are not experienced with cars, you’re better off going somewhere else I promise

The best way to do it is ask someone you trust who they trust and I did, the guys at M & B Tires on Gunn Highway recommended Southern Comfort to me. And I cant thank them enough. Travis was professional, patient, and efficient. Im 27 years old, just moved to Tampa recently and would have been an easy target for unnecessary repairs and charges. Travis immediately recognized my need for a new battery terminal, and kept me informed by telephone that the repair would be completed same day. I cant say enough about the professional service Travis and the folks at Southern Comfort provided. If you need a trustworthy mechanic, look no further.

Great service and theyre priced right. The place isnt beautiful but that means no high overhead, so they arent charging you tons. Everyone is very nice. Since I am a female they dont try and rip me off and they dont try to upsell you. I drive 1 1/2 hours to get to this place because its well worth it. They were found on a fluke because my clutch went out near them on my way to work and I had to have it towed. Even the tow truck driver said it was one of the best around. Ive been there twice and consider them my new mechanics.

My AC wasnt working which, being in Florida, can make for a miserable drive. TJ and his team did a great job fixing my car. The AC is working so well now I only have to put it on the first setting to cool the car. Just ran an errand and it only took a few minutes to cool my car in the blazing Florida sun. First Review.I called about a repair, was called back within 10 minuets with a quote that was 50.00 less than the lowest quote so far. Friendly, knowledgeable conversation. Advised against something another shop suggested do it at the same timeI took my 2003 S10 in for a Water pump, hose and flush. Needed it back by a certain time. Offered to pick me up if it was not done in time, however it was completed almost an hour early.Fantastic service, best price in the area by far. I already referred a family member.

I will only have these guys fix my car from now on. They went totally out of their way to help us, have fair prices, and are Legit Mechanics!!I highly recommend them!!

Travis was awesome to deal with at Southern Comfort. I didnt feel like they were over-estimating the repairs needed to my SUV. I was pleasantly surprised to find a repair shop that calmed my worries about fixing one thing and breaking another!I hope to have the best of luck with my vehicles in the future, but if something does come up, Im definitely going back to these guys.

I had all but given up. My 93 Nissan Pickup AC just didnt blow cold. Another shop would throw parts at it give me a big bill and it would never be right. A friend recommended Southern Comfort Auto. TJ the owner was confident he could fix my AC. Within 20 minutes he knew what was wrong. Parts ordered. When I got the truck back the AC worked like it was brand new. I couldnt be happier. TJ and Travis were professional and I couldnt have received better service. You shouldnt hesitate to bring them your vehicle for all your repair needs!

This is my first review ever on Google for a local business. I found out about this place out of blind luck when my car broke down near their location. They fix my 99 Honda Civic quickly and at a fraction of the cost I was expecting. I sent my wife to them to get her Air conditioning repaired on her 04 Saab. Other places wanted well over $1,000 to fix it. They did it for under $800.00! Later my wife needed an oil change and after going to a place that wanted to charge her $60.00 she went to Southern Comfort and paid $30. Bottom line, its hard to find people that dont take advantage of you, they do honest, good work here. They have a life long customer with our family.

I went to tires plus to get my car check out they told me it was my fuel pump 750$ Im not the smartest one on the block but that didnt sound right especially when I new my fuel pump was working thank God I got a second opinion from Southern Comfort Auto it ended up being an electrical problem 190$ ...they are so honest this is my new shop

First of all let me start by saying that these guys are some of the most honest guys I have ever met in the auto repair industry. Just to give you my scenario and you be the judge.This is for a 2009 BMW X5 4.8iI bought a new car and took it to the dealership 3 weeks after buying it because my check engine light was on. When I left the dealership I was told that I had $8600 of potential work that was required on my car and of that $8600, $6400 of it was URGENT and should be done right away. They scared me and told me my steering wheel was going to lock up and that my oil was leaking everywhere from my Oil pump and my Rack and Pinion steering in addition to a fuel valve and pump being bad causing emission issues with my fuel oxygen ration which would cause potential damage to sensors and that it was pertinent that these were done IMMEDIATELY. I gathered my senses and decided to take it to Travis at Southern Comfort as he has always been amazing to me in the past with my other vehicles. Everyone always insists you must take a BMW to the dealer only.. ***I SAY BULLCRAP***Travis took my car in and checked it out and ended up giving me a quote for $2600.00 which was a huge relief. I mean I already knew what was wrong with the car and was at peace with it now considering Travis was saving me over $4300.00. So, I left the car and went on my way. A day and a half later I get a call from Travis and he gave me some really amazing news. Travis advised me that the repairs that I THOUGHT were needed after starting to work on my car it was found that the repair was not what originally quoted and was something that they could of only seen after taking apart the car. My repair bill went from $2600 to $747.00......Now these guys knew that I would have never questioned this bill if they charged me $2600 and they could have easily taken advantage of me. . But they were HONEST and KIND people, something this world is a little short of these days. I PRAY that these guys stay in business a long long time and that they continue to prosper and grow and that pray that amazingly beautiful things happen in each and every one of their lives. I know that the dealership would have never been this honest. And I thank Travis and the boys at Southern Comfort for treating me how they would want to be treated. I thank them from the bottom of my heart and let them know that this act of kindness and honesty touched me and I will forever refer them any business I can. Its not everyday you find guys that are cheap to begin with in addition to their amazing honesty.Thanks again guys and God Bless :)

Very Honest and reliable Auto Repair shop.

I would rate my experience at this shop as average. Got the job done but for the price I paid, I could have gone almost anywhere to have my AC repaired. Also, I witnessed my vehicle being lightly abused. No big deal but I probably wont go back to this place for anything.
