I had the pleasure of living at Citrus Village for a few months from January 2021-August 2021. I actually broke my lease due to family and employment across the state requiring me to move (still looking for something as nice as what I had here and cannot find anything remotely close!). The office staff were always incredibly professional, responsive/timely, and especially kind even when I broke my lease. I had a newly renovated apartment and LOVED it. I never had an issue with any neighbors or other residents and never felt unsafe (big thing for me). It was always a quiet and calm residential area. If I had any maintenance issues, they were resolved within a day. The higher price is worth it for the cleanliness, attentiveness, and kindness demonstrated by the staff. This was my first ever apartment (as I just had graduated college in December) and I truly am not sure if I will ever find an apartment complex that I love as much I did Citrus Village.
Moving almost 3,000 miles from home, and moving into these apartments feels like home already. Friendly staff, helpful and a delight to work with especially Kierra. I’ve met great people at the pool and enjoy the safe and pretty grounds to walk around morning or night. Thank you CV for making my move so easy!
Great apartment complex with very responsive staff. The maintenance team is awesome. One time, I had a flat time and one of the maintenance team stopped me to help and fix my tire. The entire staff makes sure we know everything that is going on in the complex - from issues to events. They constantly strive for a great community atmosphere through food trucks, events, giveaways, and more.
My husband and I have loved living here. It’s a super great location and we love that it’s quick in proximity to all the places tampa bay has to offer. The apartments are large and the closets and bathrooms are AMAZING. Well worth it.
The staff here is wonderful and are extremely genuine. Units are beautiful and its really peaceful and nice area. I recommend to everyone!
I have enjoyed my time here at Citrus Village. I have lived here on two separate occasions. My only dislike is the amount that rent was increased when I resigned my lease, but that seems to be just where the market is currently.
Awesome location, great place to live and wonderful front office who are always there and willing to help! You are missing out if you don’t live here!
Super clean, good services, nice neighborhood has a school and Publix next to it, lovely spaces etc
Good quality, pet friendly, great community, respectful, lovely spaces
Citrus Village is one of the best places to live in because they care about maintaining a healthy and safe envorionment. They are responsible and fast when help is needed or something is broken. Space and quality is important for them, also staff is friendly and love to help.
What an awesome place to stay! I just moved to the area and I think these apartments are the best. The updated interiors are so fresh and the staff seems to genuinely care. It truly feels like I’ve found my “home”.
This is a beautiful property! The grounds are kept very pristine. Units are lovely as well.
Coming from someone who has physically lived here, unlike the recent reviews coming from staff, this place is horrible. From the amenities to the service. Amenities break constantly and maintenance will take weeks to arrive. We once had no power for two weeks and often times trash will not get picked up. Service at the front desk is very unprofessional, rude, and never pick up their phones. Julie, who manages the financies, is probably the least helpful and nastiest person there who has lost our check for rent multiple times and somehow “loses” our work orders/ documents. Save your money and find another place to stay, I’m glad I’m out of there.
I’ve been looking for some new apartments in advance since my lease will be up soon. I’ve had some ok experiences with leasing offices in the past but I was able to speak with Kierra and she provided me with all the info I needed and was also very helpful and professional! I will keep this complex in mind as I finalize my future plans!
Hands down best tour I’ve been on since moving to Florida. You can tell they definitely take care of their guests and residents. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a great and welcoming environment to check them out.
Citrus village is by far one of the cleanest properties I have seen here in the area. The amenities are lovely and the staff is even better. I highly recommend this place.
Lived in this community going on 5 years now, the community is quiet, neighbors are great, the pool are is a great area to relax after a busy work day and if you are like myself and enjoy cycling, the upper tampa bay trail is 1/2 mile away and the Suncoast Trail is only 5 minutes away, you have easy access to the Veterans Expressway, do I need to say more as to why I have renewed my lease multiple times!
Good company highly recommended. The maintenance department do their best to take care all the residents on time. Everything clean
Excellent management! They do their best to keep the property well kept and upgraded. I really like how they know you and truly care about your experience.
Recently moved into this apartment complex and can’t say enough good things. Julia is absolutely amazing, always doing whatever it takes to make sure we are taken care of. One of the maintenance team members fixed our door within 30 minutes of my request on the resident portal. If you are considering moving here, take a tour with Julia and you will fall in love just like my girlfriend and I did. Julia, thank you again for everything!
I have been living here 5 years and I love it..... beautiful place, very well kept and the office staff is wonderful. Lola my dog loves the treats they give her when we visit the office.
We had been loyal residents for 2 years, then we were robbed for $210 when we left!It was very surprising, to say the least, to see $210 deducted from our secure deposit when we left. First, they charged us $70 for the door which had already been broken when we moved in. Luckily, we properly documented it, so they had to return us these $70. Then there was a $140 late payment fee. We always paid with the bank account. There was always enough money there waiting to be charged. Suddenly, after we left, they decided not to charge our bank account, but instead apply a late fee and take money from our secure deposit. There was no phone call, no advance notification, no stipulation in the agreement - absolutely nothing. They refused to refund this amount to us.We already had the very same problem when we extended our agreement for the second year. That time they accepted the responsibility and refunded this late fee to us. One year passed, and the same problem again. But as former residents, looks like we are not that valuable anymore.Ill update my review with how it works out.
We love it here! Thanks so much Julia for being so amazing all the time!!!
This is a very well kept, clean and stylish place. The pool is resort-like. I moved in three weeks ago from Michigan. All of my interactions with the management team, Julia and Denise, have been friendly, professional and they get things done. You are lucky to have such a team being the face of Citrus Village. I would definitely recommend this awesome place.
Amazing finishes on the apartment and great prices for what they’re offering. Also, the best part is you are unable to hear your neighbors below or above you. Thick walls, dog friendly & great privacy for the neighbors below and above you.
I love living here! The apartments are always clean in the exterior. Cant wait till this Covid-19 nightmare is over so we can get back into the pool and enjoy the community activities.
The location is very convenient. The overall property is well maintained and has a nice appearance and decent amenities. As is the case with most apartments, they were built with particle board, so you get to share conversations with your neighbors. The maintenance staff is just ok. We have had inconsistent service.Julia Hernandez, the assistant property manager, is a breath of fresh air among an otherwise horrid management and leasing team. She has gone above and beyond to help, she is polite, very professional, and genuinely cares about the residents here. However, the rest of the management team is a nightmare. In particular, the property manager, Rycce Chin-Quee (Dugue) is terrible. It is obvious she could not care any less about the residents here and ensuring customer satisfaction. I find her business practices questionable and unethical. Her boss, with corporate at at Preferred Apartment Community in Atlanta, Steve DAmbrosi is worthless as well. He has poor follow through and communication skills and makes promises he doesnt keep. The leasing agent, Brian is completely rude and unprofessional and should not be employed in the service industry.Based on an overall horrible experience with management here, I would NOT recommend renting here, especially at the rate they charge. I would also strongly advice that if you have a disability, that you consider somewhere else as they have shown me a willingness to violate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and tenant rights.
Great location and convenient. Love the outside village look. The staff is top-notch every time.
I absolutely love living here. It is by far the best place me and my boyfriend have ever lived. The staff is courteous and everything is so well maintained.Normally, when apartments switch management, things go down hill. Somehow, this place got even better! The area is perfect, next to so many conveniences, and I absolutely recommend it.
Very attentive maintenance and office staffs. Teenage daughter went to Sickles and it was easy for her to use pool, work out facility and walk to school just across the street. I found the floor plan very livable and wouldnt have moved, but we moved to a neighborhood close by, into a house. Only concern was due to neighbors in my building; multiple dog owners allowing dogs to actually poop directly on the sidewalk throughout the entire year.
I lived here for two years and have no major complaints. The office staff was always very friendly and the maintenance crew was very timely whenever I needed something. The apartments are beautiful and some of the best values in the Bay area. My only complaint is that theres a lot of dog poop left by those walking their dogs and the trash service wasnt consistent. Otherwise I would definitely recommend living here!
A wonderful place to live. Hands down, the best finishes and space for the money. You will not find better kitchens and bathrooms anywhere!
This is my second apartment living here in Florida so comparing to where I came from before I think this is a great property! We have Megan who assisted us and she was great and attentive to what we need! We are really happy we found a good deal on a one bed room apartment here and we also like the fact it is closed to Costco and Aldi! These are my favorite places to go! If you like dining you can find restaurants options down on Sheldon road too or be in the mall in 5 minutes! Downside is high school is across the street so I find it a bit dangerous. I only live here for a year and there has been couples of minor car accident here and there. Trying to get on to highway can take more than 10 minutes because of the school zones. Neighbors are great so far but for some reason there are a lot of dog owners on my floor and you would hear them barking at the doors when you go up the stairs and some are not really friendly dogs so you have to be careful. Sometime you can hear some noises but it pretty typical in any apartment building you live in but it tolerable and not continuous. Swimming pool is great and the management always clean it ! The gym is average because it small and the 2 treadmills are always broken. Sometime it smells like sweat and people don’t clean it after they use it. One time a neighbor brought in a puppy and tie it on the side while the guy uses the treadmill. It was weird but he left after 20 minutes. The gym clearly said no animal or pet allowed but I guess it just one of those thing it happens. We are moving out because I want to be closer to work but other than that I would recommend this place!
We lived here for a year (prior to moving back to NY) and we absolutely loved it (even from the third floor). Our apartment was beautiful (gorgeous Cabinets, granite and high end tile). They even welcomed our big furbabe with open arms. We never needed maintence in the year we were there so I cant comment on that. We are looking for a place in NY and constantly comparing it to this apartment!
Only gave 1 star because you have too, otherwise it would be zero. Overpriced apartments! They charge an exorbitant amount for a non-refundable pet fee. And be careful when you move out - they will charge you to replace the carpet even though you did not do any damage above normal wear and tear. They pass all costs onto their tenants at move out. And then will not call or email you back when you want to discuss their charges. Also, dont believe them when they say they only would charge a nominal fee to go month to month. They charge market rate and then some - so it works out to be $600 more per month, if you do not sign a lease. So dont rent here if you are building a home and are not sure of your move in. Definitely would not recommend!
I’ve been here almost two years and I love my living space. It IS pricey, especially having shopped around recently. My neighbors are pretty quiet. Yes, you can hear dogs barking through the walls are some other “living noises” but that’s pretty typical for apartment living. If they came down on the price I’d probably renew for a 3rd year because who wants to move?!?! But at this point I’m saving for a house and can save $3-400/mo elsewhere.Cheers!
Pros:-The apartments are nice, and the outside is too.-Solid location, Citrus Park is a nice area.Cons:-The walls and floors are crazy thin, so even if you don’t have a pets or roommates, it’ll sound like you do!-Rent price changes every day until you sign up, so make sure you wait until it’s low.-They messed up our move-in date after driving across the country, and first bill had a bunch of undisclosed setup fees, so make sure you get everything in writing.-And finally, what prompted me to write this: once you’re moved in, the office is no longer friendly. Had a package that said it was delivered not show up for a week, so I called the office (Julie specifically) to see if they had it, and no sooner had I told her my apartment number before she hung up on me! Assuming it was an accident, I called back - and got my name out before she realized it was me again, and hung up. Unbelievable.
Overpriced apartments! Everything is made poorly and with the cheapest materials. The buildings are not insulated at all so you can hear everything that is going on outside. As far as the leasing office, I didnt have any issues until I moved out and was being charged with carpet replacement that I did not think was necessary. I think the company just tries to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Would not recommend!
Previous Management was bad, but new management and Property Manager Rycce Chin-Quee has a disgusting attitude towards residents. She treats them like they dont pay her salary, even combative with flickering eyelids. Shes not mature at all to handle dealing with customers. Her customer service skills are in the toilet! Shes one of those that has a Hyper-egomaniac mentality!
Giving a one star is generous. it’s really a zero rating. there are no real amenities outside of the basics. no car wash, no play area for kids, no designated dog park, not a gated community. i had two years experience with this place and decided its not worth it. way too pricey and rent gets raised close to a $100.00/month at lease renewal. nasty attitudes from the maintenance manager, he has a huge chip on his shoulder, he talks down to you and lies about doing his job, enters apartments when you are not home and you didnt request any work to be done. i have booby-trapped, and finally decided to get hidden cameras. there are constantly gun shots going off after dark, not firecrackers. the office sent a couple notices about cars being broke into and property being stolen. no reference checks to previous landlords on tenants. management is likely too consumed about their bonuses on occupancy. the revolving door of tenants is at a high rate it seems. i like to jog and the air wafts with such a strong stink odor from all the dog poop not being picked up by owners. this is florida with hot humid heat, you can do the easy math on that. paper thin walls to the point you can hear surrounding neighbors doing the nasty. on the weekends the pool is consumed with college or high schoolers partying including all the things against the *pool rules, with loud music*, smoking in common areas*, and alcohol*. when brought to managements attention it just gets shrugged off. being right across from sickles high school gives the kids opportunities to practice j-strips. the current office manager ‘kristen’ also has a nasty attitude, talking down to you, promises to do something but only fills your ears with what you want to hear. only getting easy fat paychecks. its your choice if you want to throw your money away. any rave reviews online are probably staff in disguise, their friends or first time ever renters that are kids. bullies from management and their family, even vandalizing you car if they don’t like you. any positive reviews are by staff and their friends and family.
I have been here for a few months now. The rooms in my apartment a large and so is the kitchen. I have enough room for my kids and I. Having a Publix next door is great. The kids and I will walk over all the time to grocery shop. It is nice that it is also close to the upper Tampa Bay trail and the Veterans. The office staff is great and they make sure to keep the clubhouse clean. The games that they have set up for the kids to play are a great addition. Most apartments there is no real club house, not the case here. There are several lounge areas, a café area, they have computers that you can use, there are tvs all over the place so you can lounge while the kids play a game.
Good floor plans, usually always close parking (though I have seen high schoolers park here during school hours and then leave after school), lovely pool area, great location. However a touch expensive. Gym is TINY but has good variety of equipment. Love that the patios arent screened because that means on some first floors you can walk out straight to the road and your car, plus have a small yard area. There is a vet that boards and you can hear dogs some mornings, but wasnt bad and we were right across the street. CON IS RUDE NEIGHBORS - 1) not picking up pet waste in what is clearly a yard area right where a tenant would literally step out their door despite multiple trash locations nearby. 2) Upstairs neighbors would throw cigarettes down on our porch, steps, and sidewalk. It was like a smoking pit. Would you throw bottles or other trash like this??? Management did nothing but have maintenance clean up more often. 3) There are multiple entrances and exits, no cars backed up from an annoying gate BUT there is a one way exit street curved to turn out onto the main road - was almost hit multiple times by people trying to turn down this one way street and obviously not making it due to the the fact its curved as an exit only. These idiots back up into on coming traffic of Gunn Hwy (right next to the high school!) and maneuver their car until they make it through or end up going over the curb. Then I drive past after they almost back into me, turn into one of 2 proper entrances, and pass the same dangerous drivers inside the complex. No time saved just endangering others. Or I am trying to exit this way and come face to face with these idiots wanting me to back up down the one way to let them in. I hope the complex simply blocks this exit for safety since there are two others. 4) Twice our American flag was attacked. First they broke the flag pole, the second they stole the pole and flag. We found only half the pole down the street. Management said unless we had video there was nothing they could do, not even email the complex and warn others/discourage the behavior. The apartments themselves are nice but the tenants made it easy to leave.
DONT RENT FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL, STAFF WILL NOT FIX AC AFTER HOURS BLOWING HOT AIR, STAFF IS HORRIBLE AT THIS PROPERTY. DONT SPEND MONEY ON THIS PLACE ITS JUST HORRIBLE. LEASING OFFICE STAFF IS DISGUSTING.
I love my community! My neighbors are friendly and not to noisy!! My apartment is beautiful and it feels like home for me. My favorite part is the soaking tub! Im a pretty tall young lady 511 and I dont have to bend my legs at the knees to relax in the tub. I dont use the amenities much but they are beautiful and well taken care of every time I see them. My only complaint is that I wish they would do doggie DNA testing which would enforce pet owners to clean up after their pets. I have a dog and I gladly clean up after him because I wouldnt want his excrements to get someone elses dog sick or something else thats awful is for someone to step in it when theyre in a hurry to get to work.
Great place to live and a convenient location.
Awesome place to live very safe place
