Im not happy with my experience at YouFit on Mahan drive in Tallahassee, FL. I purchased the lime membership and later on the once a week personal training package. I purchased three months of personal training. When the three months were up, they continued charging my card for more sessions, which I did not want. They also refused to refund me for the training sessions that I dont want to use. The training sessions arent cheap, so now Im just out that money. They also charge you to cancel the membership, even though its month-to-month.

The front desk staff are always so friendly and helpful. The trainers are knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging! The locker room, showers, and restrooms are always clean and in working condition. Staff regularly clean all of the equipment and floors. Ive been coming here for almost a year and have never had anything less than a great gym experience here.

You get what you pay for gym is a little grimy but good equipment and only $10 a month I went here for 3 years but left after they continued to stay closed long after every other gym in Tallahassee post covid

If I could give 0 stars I would. I used to like YouFit before COVID, but now I hate it and will NEVER recommend.I tried lowering my personal training frequency in February 2020. After the pandemic began, I was charged the normal amount. I tried to cancel by sending a letter to corporate in March or April 2020 (after having 2 people tell me I can’t cancel/not telling me how). It was never processed.I was finally able to ‘cancel’ my account in person at Mahan in July 2020 but it was never cancelled then either. I called a month later in August 2020 about a pending membership fee charge, and they said I had to call back once it went through because they couldn’t see any charge. I also had to cancel my account once again - properly this time - in August. Now I have to wait 90 days for the membership charges that should never have gone through to go back to my account. Not to mention never receiving any refund for personal training after being told that portion would take 7-30 days to be refunded, being told for *months* I would get a return call about my issues without receiving 1 call ever, and all of this happening during a pandemic when I lost my job due to coronavirus. I’m out like $700 thanks to this place after countless phone and in-person conversations. NEVER SIGN UP FOR YOUFIT.

I’m glad I joined youfit as they have a great assortment of equipment for all my workout days. And the staff keep everything clean and are knowledgeable. The only issue I had was how the men who work out over by the weights feel comfortable enough to approach me without a mask and mansplain things I already know about the equipment. It made me feel uncomfortable and worried for my health.

I was a customer for several years but was highly displeased with how they handled billing after their facilities closed due to COVID. While they were closed, Youfit Health Clubs continued to bill their customers. Many other gyms, fitness studios, and health clubs in town had the decency to request their customers to continue to support their business and employees while they were closed, but Youfit Health Clubs did not. I would have liked to have been given the option to continue or to pause, but because I was not given any say in the matter, I decided to cancel my membership. Of course, this was met with an additional $10 fee.That aside, I thought that Youfit Health Clubs provided customers with a great facility for the value. I especially appreciated the free weight areas for benching, deadlifting, shoulder pressing, and squatting. There were enough stations for me to go daily without having to wait more than a few minutes for them to be available.

Comprehensive Gym with all of the Goods. Wanna get right? Youfit, sure go for it. Athlete with specific needs? Theyre new YouGX room has got you covered. Plus, the staff listens!

This place is such a scam. I cancelled back in March via USPS because I live out of state. They clearly see I havent been to any youfit since I cancelled and are still billing me because they claim to have no record of it! What a sham. And they offer to electronic method of cancellation. They are only in this for money and dont care about any of their clients!

I went here mainly because they offer childcare, but it ended up being a big disappointment, I was very uncomfortable leaving my child after seeing how they do things there. VERY. Your child is safer anywhere else than in their childcare.

The staff and trainers are very professional, and friendly! They make an extra effort to be helpful and answer any questions, as well as address any concerns. Is it also nice to know that they have cleaning supplies and sanitizer available all around the club for members to use to sanitize for themselves and for the equipment. Its cool to see the staff making it a point to vacuum the whole club during the day, and even lift up equipment to clean under! When i go into the club, I feel safe, see cleanliness, and know Im welcome and even wanted, like they want the best for me as much (if not more sometimes) as I do...like they truly care. Those are really nice feelings to have everyday I walk through those doors!

This location is okay. Its cluttered in the weight room and they will not allow you to access the cross fit area if you are not willing to pay $100+ a month for a personal trainer. I signed up for this gym on the pretense it would be open to members. Well it is... when we are all at work. Switched to Monroe. More friendly staff and gym is available to all members.

If I could give this gym franchise NEGATIVE THREE THOUSAND STARS, I would. As a whole, this is one of the worst gym establishments of all time. How customers are treated is abominable and unprofessional. My sister is working through unauthorized charges (that are over $300) and not only has staff lied to her, she has been given the runaround for several months. Ill be cancelling my membership this week (been going to this gym on and off since I was a teenager) and will never recommend anyone go to a YouFit.

I enjoy the helpful and positive staff along with my trainer Shane. Matteo encouraged me to sign up for the personal coaching during a promotion in October. It was the best decision I ever made! Shane is the most creative and inspiring coach I could ask for! His workouts are always fun, creative, educational and motivational. Because of Shanes coaching I have decided to continue my personal training for a long time. I highly recommend him!

My favorite thing about my Youfit experience is the morning Boot Camp with Marquesas. I love starting my day with this high-intensity workout because it gives me so much energy throughout the day. Plus, Group Fitness is a lot of fun and helps me be accountable. Marquesas is a great instructor and our morning group is a perfect size.I have also enjoyed participating in several Count Down to Change Boot Camps over the years. Most recently the morning group was led by Alex. Alex is a wonderful coach and I so appreciated his thoughtful progression of exercises over the two month period. I have also worked with Alex one-on-one. He is professional and is the best YouCoach I have worked with.

I have only went at night so this review will be about what I experienced between 8 and 10 pm est. Very clean. Great for a novice gym goer. When I go at night there arent a lot of people there. Great atmosphere the person who is there at night is very friendly and actively tries to help whenever possible. When I first opened my membership he was very forthcoming with what he was doing and what I was paying. He let me know all of my expenses up front which is all I wanted.I keep very odd hours so its been hard scheduling my assessment with a trainer, however they have did everything possible to get it setup which is surprising for a free service. That shows me they actually care about the people who come there.The equipment is always clean and operational and Tyler actively cleans the equipment regularly. He answered every random question I had with ease. If you are looking to join a gym I recommend this one.

The 5:30am M,W,F class with Marquesas is the best! Her enthusiasm is contagious. Shes super knowledgeable and always challenging us. I always leave feeling tired from a great workout!

Initially joined Youfit for the cleanliness and quality/variety of equipment. Ive always worked out on my own, but after having 2 children and working a full time job, I decided to participate in some group classes and signed up with a personal trainer in hopes of mixing it up and making the most of my time in the gym. The group instructors are awesome and really talented at tailoring the work outs to match all participants skill levels. Carly is my trainer and she is incredible! Shes given me an entire program to work from, incorporating 30 minute workouts that pack a bigger punch than I ever used to be able to do on my own in 45+ minutes. The entire staff is awesome and driven to help members meet their goals. A great environment that makes it fun to work out at 5:30 am!

Ive been training at the YouFit on Mahan for about 6 months now. Ive been working with the trainer Chris. I love it! Chris is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun to train with. I have definitely seen a change in my weight and my energy level since staring my workout routine. I plan to keep coming for a long while.

We choose this gym because it was convenient. However the staff has proven themselves to be extremely courteous and friendly. Everyone there seems to enjoy their job and to help the members succeed at their own fitness programs.

Although the smaller of the two Youfit clubs in Tallahassee, this location still offers all the equipment you could ever need it seems. In contrast to Planet Fitness and other gyms in town, Youfit has weight racks and other free weights. Yet, the regular machines are there if you want them. There also is a more secluded stretching area, besides the main workout area. The price is what is truly hard to beat about Youfit. $20 for a lime card (which allows you free guests and entrance to any Youfit location)! There are fees for cancellation and yearly membership, so pay attention to those in the contract. Otherwise, Youfit has been a great place for me to stay fit!

They keep the facility clean. There are lots of machines and great trainers at this location. The noon bike class is fun and the yoga class are easy but challenging. Rena explains each move from beginner to experienced. All the morning and evening zumba classes are fun and challenging as well.

So far so good...Ive been treated with nothing less than respect. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and caring. If youre looking for a great gym environment, Youfit is for YOU!

I like everything about the Mahan location of YouFit. The Staff is always friendly, The Trainers are well educated, experienced and are attentive. The location is clean. They recently expanded, and now offer a child care center which adds to the appeal. The expanded part of the gym has a cycle room, a room for different classes and a dedicated Training room for personal training sessions. When you walk in, you feel welcome and comfortable. Its a great place to work out.

At the time, he was making me uncomfortable with how adamant he was about signing me up right then and there. It felt very pressuring. Fast forward to February and I am not happy with this particular program, so I went to the front desk on February 03, 2020 to look up my contract information and asked what kind of plan I had signed up for. The staff at the time who was helping me, stated I was signed up for a month to month program, and I could sign a cancellation form at that time. So I did. He explained the only payment I had to worry about was Februarys payment, because the bill cycles every 15th of each month. So seeing as I filled out the cancellation form before February 15th, I would be responsible for SOLELY that payment and after that it would be seen as cancelled. So, with the information given to me at the time, I was under the impression that I did everything I needed to do. March 15th, I received a pending payment of another month payment. I thought I had done everything right from what this staff member told me. I went to the Mahan location and tried to explain to another staff member, that I was very misinformed about my contract. I even admitted the hostility of that manager to them. Nothing was done. I love going there, and I have been a loyal dedicated customer to this company for years. While I truly hate having to send this review, I feel it is my responsibility to let someone know of this particular incident.**UPDATE** for the past month, I have been sending multiple emails and messages to the corporate or even local youfits and have not yet received a response. Just in case youfit have not received my second email, I am requesting a refund of my yearly maintenance fee and to cancel any further subscriptions/memberships to you fit. Great gym, great trainers, great atmosphere! I moved back to the Tallahassee area at the end of 2017. I have always been active, I had a good routine that I had been consistent with for about 2 years. When I moved back, I completely lost my routine, my workout network and my healthy habits quickly. I gained weight and body fat percentage that led to me losing confidence as my size grew. It was time to do something. I researched gyms close to my office and found Youfit on Mahan. It was convenient from work, on the way home, so no excuses! I started out thinking that going on my own was enough, I took advantage of the “Youfit Fitness Assessment” that came with my membership. This assessment was helpful and by no means did they pressure me to get a trainer. But the assessment made me realize that I should invest in myself and my goals. Around January 2019, I was paired with Carly as my trainer. From day 1 she gave me the accountability I needed and wanted. I shared my Apple watch activity and signed up for My Fitness Pal so she could help monitor my activity and nutrition. She is always available if I have a question, concern, etc. She helps me reach my goals and creates a program with the workouts to fit my needs. She is knowledgeable and awesome to train with! I have lost weight, body fat percentage and gained lean muscle mass. But most importantly I gained confidence. I gained confidence to utilize gym equipment and do workouts that I wouldn’t have done on my own, because Carly is there to help guide me. I feel healthy and strong. I am training in weightlifting on overall strength and can do things (like deadlifts and bench press) at weights I didn’t think I would ever be strong enough to do! And I am training for my first half marathon!! I feel like the entire training team as well as all the Youfit staff are there for me. When I signed up for the gym, I never imagined I could do what I am doing now, in less than a year. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I signed up for Youfit training since I had never had a trainer, but I quickly learned I had found my workout network. I got a network of people that are there to help me. Carly has gone above and beyond for me and I look forward to our workout sessions as well as my workout plan. I would recommend Youfit on Mahan to anyone. Whether you are looking to start, start over or just a new gym this is an amazing place with amazing people!

Tyler MartinezHas helped me tremendously with my form so I would not hurt myself more. I needed to strengthen my knees and shoulders, and he said not to force, BUT to work my way up to a heavier weight. FORM is KEY! And, resting in between reps helps me to do them. He doesnt give up on me by REMINDING me HOW FAR IVE COME.Ive experienced ANXIETY about coming to the gym. I knew I needed to come, BUT it was an EXTREME STRUGGLE. Tyler is there for me, and I NEVER cancelled a session. I had to be honest with myself, and know that Im worth the COST to get STRONGER & HEALTHIER, mentally and physically!!!

Would not honor a free trial after I signed up online for one. Was laughed at by staff who said all they are interested in is a membership. Was told that if I wanted to do a membership then I could get started today. Website said come in anytime to start your free trial . Apparently not this yougot. They only want your money . Dont come here. Go anywhere else

Ive never wrote a google review but I believe this needs to made aware of! 1) I had to basically beg the guy to show me what was going on and where a bathroom even was he acted like he just wanted me to walk away lost. Thank goodness someone FINALLY stepped in to help me 2) it was WAY too crowed couldn’t even get on equipment let alone get it to work once you finally got one wouldn’t matter anyways because you wouldn’t get any help either 3) couldn’t even get the equipment to work even managing the anxiety of it being over crowded I literally left after not being able to work the equipment after 15 minutes thanking god I didn’t spend money on a monthly membership not to mention it was like 20 degrees hotter in there then outside! And you only get one free day so even if I wanted to give it another shot to try it before work instead of after, you can’t!

Great hours and great staff. The manager Bradley was incredibly helpful with getting me set up with readmission in the gym after having my second little. He was quick to answer any questions/concerns that I had about the payment process and informative of all the gym has to offer. Totally recommend this facility!

If I could give it 0 stars I would have, MY experience with them has been horrible, I travel with my job and I explained that to them when I went to ask about the membership, I only wanted to do the aerobics class, but was pressured into getting a personal trainer, I inform them that I was not comfortable with that, but agreed to do the free setting, after that I signed up for the aerobics class, and 2 training sessions, well 2 days later after what was supposed to be the first real session I was paying for, they put me with an inexperienced trainer he just seemed nervous to me, and informed me that he was going home for family or something, I understood that but my time here is also limited, really nice guy but not the trainer for me. By the time I get home i get a call saying i cant train for another 2 weeks .So when I went to speak with someone about it I was not happy with the out come, was unable to speak with a manager and was told to come back, so I asked at this point if I could end my membership because Im only on month to month, for the normal membership and said I had to keep paying for the personal trainer even if I dont like it, that was last month in December, to this day the manger never contacted me and their still taking 2 training fees at once, and the membership fee that was supposed to be canceled. Im really upset at this point, and if they dont speak with me after I fly back to Florida today, I will be returning with my attorney.....

Not a bad place, however they pressure to get you on auto billing, then further to get your bank info instead of cc info, never do this. The reason for auto bill is because so many people forget and they continue to bill. The reason to pressure for bank account is so you cant cancel your credit card, also they make it hard to cancel by requiring you to come in person, then charge a cancel fee? for what? what did you cost them? even if they require auto bill to gouge the people who forget, there should at least be a simple on line cancellation process for those of us who do not.In response to the below answer: Why require a visit to the club or certified mail to cancel? why make it a pain in the A to cancel? you could very easy make an on line cancel proccess that would be convenient for your customers,... you dont so people will forget and you can continue to bill for service not received. And why would you charge a $10 fee to cancel? because if 1000 people cancel you get $10,000

Everyone was so courteous and seemed to love working there. Extremely clean with the friendliest people in town. I was only here for a week but I will definitely be back.

Keeps those prices low with how many people sign up, yet only a handful of us actually go. Well worth the low costs. If youre a dedicated lifter, there are better gyms, but if youre just looking for aesthetic, this place has plenty to work with.

The facility is clean, bright, and free of weight-slammers. The equipment is well maintained, and the employees are friendly and courteous.

I have been going to this youfit for a little over a year and it never disappoints! I love the size and the wide range of workout options throughout the gym. I was particularly impressed with manager, Zory Batchelor. Since I have seen her around the gym has become more clean and I appreciate her willingness to help when I don’t know how to work a certain machine. Definitely recommend this location and gym!!

Good selection of equipment, friendly staff and great price point. But usually crowded and it almost seems to be a universal culture that people hang out on equipment between sets rather than letting others work in, which is frustrating (and rude.) Ive seen this sometimes at other gyms of course, but here it is widespread, and the staff doesnt seem to notice or care. Also, the locker rooms are cramped for the size of the gym and some of the cardio equipment needs servicing.

Used to love this gym, until I heard about everything that goes on behind the scenes. The management is probably the worst Ive ever seen. Have talked with several people who have cancelled memberships or cancelled their personal training who are STILL being charged! Training is not cheap! My family was directly impacted by the poor management and unrealistic expectations that this company puts on their employees. I would keep an eye on my checking account if I were you! Definitely cancelling my membership, maybe Golds is a little more honest?

Recently canceled membership due to a lack of cleanliness and functioning equipment. On my last visit, I went to 3 different treadmills before I found a screen that worked, and then the sound didnt work. I was charged an extra month since it was within 14 days of the renewal date. That I understand but I dont understand a $25 cancelation fee. If you like filthy, broke equipment, this is for you; otherwise, look elsewhere.

From the time I step foot in this business...I was PLEASED!!!! Thus far, the staff has been friendly and I love the fact that they play a variety of music which signifies the diversity of their clientele! I dont need my headphones because I appreciate a variety of music...PLEASE KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!!

DO NOT sign a single contract at this place. It would be the same as going to a pay day loan facility and giving them a blank check... I am extremely impressed with the classes at YouFit and would recommend them highly to anyone. In particular, I would like to highlight the 5:30am YouCoach GX Workout with Instructor Marquesas Blimes. Marquesas is an immensely talented instructor. Several of Marquesas qualities stand out: her contagious enthusiasm, her knack for creative exercise selection and program design, her attention to the individual needs and abilities of her students and her uncanny ability to build a strong esprit de corps in the class. I initially attended the because it was the time I had available in my schedule, I continue to go because I do not want to miss this opportunity. This is what you want in a class.

The only reason I gave any stars is because it is cheap. I guess I got what I paid for. This gym makes way too much money to not be able to hire a competent staff. The only one who knew what they were talking about was the one who signed me up to begin with! From that point on the service was awful. They sign you up for the standard (strange + confusing) gym terms and conditions, which I get since going to they gym for some is a fad. What I dont understand is how the staff does not even know how to comprehend the very terms and conditions that they require you to sign up for. I had to dissect the jargon for them (three times) just so they could let me work out for the day. I have not been back since and wont be returning.

Helpful staff, new equipment and a Beutiful area too work out in, nice kids area as well.

Monroe location is a scam, I got a membership recently there this walk in got a membership there, then there is a $80.00 hidden fee. Then they want to see a trainer, to show you how to work out, which is an hour with a salesman who tries to sell you a personal trainer for an extra 250 bucks a month. Then this idiot says my doctor is the idiot and I should listen to his physical theraphy advice. I should have leery of this location when I saw some of the members there smoking weed at the front door entrance. But it is almost cheap, but most members there show some etiquette, but single women are pounced on by guys who troll there for a date.

A bit smaller than the Monroe Street location and it doesnt have a daycare, but I still recommend it! Very nice and clean gym with tanning and classes.

Has minimal equipment. Dressing rooms are way to small. You cant cancel. They give you the run around when you cancel.My wife signed up, tried to work out and didnt have everything she needed to workout. When she tried to cancel on the same day, it was a terrible.She goes back a second time to sign the cacelation, 3 days later because they refused to cancel it on that first day,and Renay, the manager, refused to give Sandra the two months she paid for, even though the contract says that if you cancel by midnight of the third day, you just pay a $10.00 cancellation fee. They violated thier own contract and was very rude to Sandra. I highly suggest that you do not get involved with this scam that they have going on. I went to several gyms and never seen this type of treatment before. The best gym that I ever went to, was Factor X Fitness in Thomaseville but due to a job change to Tallahasse, we need a gym in Tallahassee. We will never go back to this so called gym.

Gym is closed and still they are charging customers. And there is no way to cancel membership.

Horrible. I no longer have a membership with this club and have not had one in seven months. It was turned over to someone else and it is the end of the contract period and they said that it automatically renewed and I have to pay it and pay a cancellation fee. If I do not have an account with them, why would I have to cancel it? Worst business practices I have ever seen with any company and would not recommend them to anyone ever.

I love this place. It is clean, has great staff, and excellent classes.

I love my gym, I love my trainer. Just had to adjust my workouts to avoid the evening crowds on the weekdays.

The membership price is affordable and there is more than enough equipment available to suit our needs. Its a bit crowded at times and that is my only complaint.

I went in today to cancel my membership. At first I spoke to a girl at the counter named Zory or Zora. And she asked the usual. Why are you leaving and would you just like to downgrade? And I wanted neither. I just wanted to close my account. So she said okay and preceded to close it. I paid the $10 and signed everything. Well out walked the regional manager. Not sure if thats exactly what she said she was or if she was just a manager. Anyway. She stopped me and demanded to know why I was quitting. I explained to her that I work full time and go to school full time and that Im just paying for something that I am not utilizing. (Honestly I just hate the gym and didnt want to be rude so I kept my reasoning polite). She then told me that that sounds like just an excuse and that Im just being lazy and I should show more dedication and motivation. I was kind of shocked. She just kept repeating that over and over again. And then I finally told her that I dont like the open floor plan of youfit, that I tried it for a few months and just didnt feel comfortable. She said that is just another excuse and basically attacked me.She then told me that she was refunded my account the $10 and reinstating my membership and to come in at 3pm for a assessment and to get me back on track. I asked her not to reinstate my membership and she nope its already dont and I want to hold you accountable. She then said that my excuse for not having time was bs cause I was standing there talking to her for 20 minutes. I told her that I was off work today and had several errands to run as well as my exams for school. And she said sounds like more excuses. Then she told me to go home and get my gym clothes and be back at 3pm.I walked out of there so dumbfounded. I was confused. And embarrassed, because she did it in front of other people. And honestly didnt want to walk back in there.This is my second time signing up for a gym membership with youfit. I tried it before while I was living near the north Monroe one and didnt like it and they didnt give me a hard time like this woman did. And then I tried it at the mahan one and was attacked.I will never ever sign a membership with any other youfit ever. And Ill advise my friends and family to take there business elsewhere. Id rather go to Planet Fitness then deal with that kind of harassment and embarrassment.She even said that youfit gym was more old people and first time gym goers friendly. And that they make sure all of there members feel comfortable in there environment while working out. Well, Ive never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Ive had much better treatment at Golds Gym.

Worst customer service, tried to cancel my membership when I moved out of town. Didn’t know where I moved to didn’t have a youfit so I called to cancel and I’m told they can’t do it over the phone.
