LJ was amazing! He’s friendly and funny. He did a great job of cutting my hair and straightened my hair perfectly. I recommend Toppers if you’re new to town and need a haircut and style. I’ll definitely return for future haircuts.

My family has been using Toppers for the past 16 years. We absolutely LOVE them. They always do an amazing job on my brother, dad, special needs sister, mom and me! They also have the best prices for how good of a job they do. All of the staff is amazing. My brother goes to Trent. I go to Candice. And Tang does my mom and sister. Candice just gave me an undercut that is better than I’ve found on google and a balayage that is perfect for me. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Toppers Salon was the first salon Ive ever visited in Tallahassee, and my experience was amazing. All of the workers were super friendly and welcoming. I had Jessica give me curtain bangs and she did a wonderful job. She is kind and listens exactly what the clients want!!

Jessica has been my stylist for years now and always kills it! Shes always able to work me in when I need a cut and helped me choose a new style years ago when I first started going to Toppers. LJ and Trent have also cut my hair before and were awesome too. I honestly would trust anyone at this location to cut my hair. 10/10 recommend.

I think Ive found my dream salon!! LJ is so awesome with hair. My hair was very long and thick causing me migraines from the weight of it. I asked him for long layers. He politely told me I was going love the haircut he was going to do on me. Honestly I thought I had Edward Scissorhands working on my hair. I now have soft layered very style able hair. I love going to toppers.I go in kinda a mess with my hair and came out with beautiful, soft, luxurious hair the color is so pretty on me and they dont let me leave looking bad but as always great. The team works great together, the music is great, the team is a friendly, caring group.Which makes me want to come back ty to u all.

Ive gotten my haircut at this salon 4 times/every time and im probably going again tomorrow! I got my first haircut here and my mother was so scared it was going to go wrong but my hair was beautiful after! They treat you like family here and Candy (my families regular) is amazing. Shes like family to us. All together I 100% recommend this salon if you live or have recently moved in the area and looking for a new salon! Toppers is fantastic. Ive been going for years to a woman named Jessica who always does a great job. Id feel comfortable going to any hair stylist in Toppers though. They have a friendly and talented staff with some personality. I would highly recommend it!

I went to Topper’s while I was an undergrad and would always get my hair cut by LJ. Two years later, I came back to Tallahassee and was lucky enough to be able to go to LJ again. He has done an amazing job since the first time I went to him and recommend him to any new students or anyone looking for a place to cut their hair. Topper’s is very punctual with appointments, clean, and affordable. Highly recommend!

I asked the owner I need someone professional to do my hair cut this time because I received a horrible service 2 years ago in this place, but unfortunately the same happened again and the lady cut my hair didnt care about the picture I showed her she cut my hair the way she wanted and charged me $40 for just haircut no style or nothing and even my hair was still wet when I left she didnt even dry it.I have another parlour I came here just to change my hair style I was a costumer 2 years ago but except one time all other times got bad experience from this place they charge too much for realy poor service i cant even compare the cast is almost 2 times more than other places and service isnt even good

Walked in for a trim and eyebrow wax. Was greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes before meeting LJ. He did exactly what I wanted and it was great having the same person do my hair and brows. Highly recommend them and I will be going back.

Always great service, especially from Trent. He is always kind enough to take me on short notice and I have always walked out happy.

Ive always had good experiences regardless of whos cut my hair, and my hair is not always easy to to manage. Jessica and Candice are my go-to stylists, but Thang cut my hair once and did a wonderful job on very short notice just before closing. Jessica always does a great job with eyebrow waxes, and is very gentle.From time to time I have had to wait a very long time, but that usually only happens at the end of the day if I fail to make an appointment, which is a problem I consider to be my fault. The prices are reasonable for cut and style. I cannot attest to value/quality for color as I have never used that service.

Just coming through to leave the proper stars (because I can’t leave 0) that I somehow have not done yet. I’m still using prescription medication from a dermatologist A year and a half after my scalp was burned via keratin treatment (when I came in for a Brazilian blowout) that left me with big green blisters and I now deal with an embarrassing dry scalp that I might be dealing with for the rest of my life. Beware! I recommend spending the money elsewhere on these treatments.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The owner and the lady who did my friends hair (Candy) lied about the price and their level of expertise. After ruining her hair on the first visit, she sent pictures to Candy who promised she would fix it and cover all the charges. Not only did she fail to fix the problem, she refused to cover the charges and insisted that my friend had to pay or she could not leave. Only go here if you want to leave in tears. ZERO STARS

Thang is such a dear! She has been taking care of my brows for the past decade, or maybe longer! As a mom of three little ones & a teenager, I have a busy schedule. Thang is always courteous and accommodating.

The people working there are nice and courteous, however the lady who cut my hair didnt listen to me AT ALL. I showed her a picture of what i wanted (I wanted to keep my length but layer/volumize it on the top. She proceeded to chop away at my hair and my bangs are super short :(I do not recommend this place at all.....

A man today cut my hair that had tattoos on his arm and a beard. He kept calling me out for analyzing every move I made to check my hair out. He was on edge the whole time and watching to see what I noticed about my haircut. Told me to not drink so much coffee next time because I move around too much haircut turned out nothing like the picture that he made me show him because I was confusing. This man has a country accent. Avoid him at all costs.

The staff here will become like family. So sweet and professional. I see people of all ages, genders, and skin color come in and leave looking great. 5 out of 5 stars.

Walked in no appointment got waited on immediately happy with the cut I received

Lets start by saying i let Trent know about my previous visit there and how i was disappointed. He assured me i would be satisfied. On this visit I had my lashes done by Trent. That night a few of the lashes fell off. I went in the next day and he fixed them. The next day the same thing happpened. I was on vacation and decided to remove all the lashes without any problems. I will never go back here to have my lashes put on. Total waste of $25 on two seperate occasions!

Great staff and always a great cut

I have had my hair done here 3 separate times, the first time by the owner Tang. Which does a absolute wonderful job but I was charged 160. Which I was ok with given the length of my hair and what I got done to it. I waited about a year or so and went back and had requested Tang again but she wasn’t available. I don’t remember the stylist name but she was in the booth directly across from Tangs. She did a fabulous job as well but when it came to check out time ( and you know hair stylists don’t like to give a set price til done) I was charged 250. For the same thing I had gotten the first time. I had noticed the stylist ask Tang about price, so it was solely the owners decision and not the stylist. I didn’t say anything and just thought maybe prices had went up for product since it had been so long since the first time. Still extremely happy with the turn out I chose to go back again and of course this time, I had waited almost a little over 2 years. Lol. I scheduled an appt with Tang, as usual told her what I was looking for and we agreed on something very close to what I had before except she only used 2 shades instead of 3 ( I had previously gotten a blonde highlight with a dark chocolate brown undertone with a caramel copper low light mixed with the highlights on top) this time she had only done what looked to me as your basic brown low light mixed with platinum high lights! Well, I was satisfied with the end results but it wasn’t the excitement I felt the first 2 times. So, now was check out time, and what do you know.............. I was charged 190!!! I had only brought 200 cash with me and had mentioned that in our conversation about what I was looking for jokingly (“ just don’t let it be more then 200, cause that’s all I got lol”)So, needless to say I’m in search of a salon that has Tangs talent for doing my hair but can price appropriately or at least keep note of what a customer receives and there price. I understand it wouldn’t be set in stone because of material increases or whatnot. But at least keep it close!! Toppers Salon............ excellent talent at what they do but will surprise the heck out of you with pricing. Guess everyone’s gotta make that money somehow.

I used to get my eyebrows waxed here. I loved walking in and smelling the candle the receptionist had at the front.

I was referred to Toppers Salon by a friend and will continue to get my hair cut here as long as I am in Tallahassee. Trent (stylist) is excellent and their prices are highly competitive. It would wise to call ahead if you would like a cut by Trent.

Went in yesterday because 18$ haircut for men (somehow that magically turned to 24 and I wasnt really told why), ended up getting my hair cut really badly. Went back to fix it and the people were really rude to me and unprofessional and didnt listen to what I was saying. Ended up leaving with a lopsided haircut and down almost 30$ so now I cant afford to get another haircut. Tried to fix it myself but only made it worse. Thought about asking for a refund but dont wanna deal with being told to just get biotin and your hair will grow back again. If you wanna avoid the nightmare Im going through, stay far far away from this place. Telling all my friends and family to stay away too.

HORRIBLE ORANGE COLORED HAIR AFTER $72 PARTIAL COLOR JOB, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I went there for a haircut and was upsold a partial color (roots needed touchup). The wrong color was applied with a brush to about 3 of hair, no foil used, one bowl of color and no drier. What a waste of money, I couldve done better with a box of color from Walmart for $12.00. My haircut isnt want I asked for either and it was $20.00. I asked for my money back for the color job but the owner told me NO she isnt giving it back! It was between me and the stylist, (shes still thinking about it). WHAT A JOKE, VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!

I drive from Orlando to come here to see Thang. Best stylist.
