To simply put it, Climb Tacoma is a BIG little gym. Its variability is good enough to suit anyone from the beginners to some of the more elite boulder savy people. They do the best that they can in creating new routes on a consistent basis (I believe its almost a new wall every week). They might have a small staff at the moment, but theyre out putting phenomenal work. If you spend enough time here, its easy to get welcomed into their little community. They also have a little decent gym and a phenomenal area for kids to learn.*If you decide to climb here, make sure you remove all of the valuables from your vehicle due to the occasional uncouth foot traffic*

Great gym as we were passing through! Didnt seem to be AC so might get a little toasty in the summer. Fantastic set of problems.

Pros:-best routesetting and variability in the terrain. One of the best for new climbers.-laid back environment, very very friendly community. The staff are amazing-can bring dogs, only if theyre well behaved. They even have a little water bowl for them :)-seriously, again, the community will go out of their way to help you with anything that you might be stuck on. Everyone is so helpful and informative. Best vibes-Very affordable, and doesnt have a predatory / convoluted membership system like Edgeworks does.-pads are really good, falling is a non issueCons:-parking isnt great. Theres usually always room to park for free, but its a pretty weird terrain.-area of Tacoma unfortunately has a lot of homeless, so dont leave valuables in your car.-cannot buy shoes here. Location isnt big enough to stock them.-bouldering only, no extended climbing, like lead or top rope.At the end of the day, the cons arent enough for me to downgrade to a 4 star. Also, I cant stress enough how good the routes are! As a beginner, you may not realize how good the routes are, but trust me-- you can go from a pure beginner and train up through the grades with plenty of variety. They change one wall, once a week, so youll have 6 weeks to work on something before they change it. Its a perfect amount of time.I had trouble with Edgeworks-- the terrain didnt feel as varied to me, the cost was higher, and the routes werent as compelling. Climbing gyms should mainly be about the climbing, and Climb Tacoma definitely takes the cake.

I went here on my birthday and had an awesome time, the only bad thing is they dont have any harness if I brought my granddaughter. Other then that I will return again it was amazing and the staff was great and helpful.

Great gym for climbing, not as big as some of the other climbing gyms around but is a great spot to get a climb in

Dude, this gym is amazing. Honestly, the best climbing gym in Washington State. Their routesetting is A1 and the variety in the angles and heights of their climbing walls is what every gym should aim to achieve. Never have once had a bad experience here. Small gym but it packs a major major major punch.

Awesome facility. Super juggy beginner/ warm up area, with a huge variety of technical and underhung/roof routes in the two main rooms. Staff was very friendly and knowledge. Pumped out inside the 90 minute session no problem. No trouble climbing as a non- member. Highly recommend.

This climbing gym has an amazing staff that are super friendly. Everyone here is very knowledgeable about climbing and willing to help newcomers. There are always weekly fresh routes, so the climbing never gets old. The setters set a variety of problems as well, so you can train a variety of climbing skills. Currently the staff is super COVID conscious and does a good job of keeping everyone safe by wiping down/keeping masks in place.Tl;dr Great people, great climbing.

Great staff. Lots of routes to choose from. Plus a fitness center in back (No, its not some fancy gym with saunas and a Jacuzzi. Its a climbers fitness center. Think Micks Gym from Rocky lol. But it has everything you need to help improve your climbing skills and get a good workout in). They also change up the routes regularly so there is always a new challenge. And again, Great staff.

Photos make this gym look 5x larger than it actually is. It kind of smells and its very dirty. The routes get reset often which is good to keep you on your toes. It does seem they have a nice community of climbers there. It was all smiles while we climbed. My fiance said this its like your friend turned his garage into a climbing gym, but in the best way

We came here for a kids birthday party. The price was very reasonable. We had a private room for our gifts and cake. The instructor was nice and had a close eye on the kids safety. I guess for the normal clientele there would be enough parking, we had some people have trouble finding parking spots. Besides the parking issues, this place was really cool. The kids had a blast, the staff was cool, and the place was reasonably price.

Great place to boulder. I love the challenge of the routes...But I scared of heights. This place has plenty of space to challenge yourself without getting too high off the ground. Staff was super cool with my kids and it didnt bankrupt me for a day pass for all of us....The competition in town is cool, but way too expensive for my abilities.

Tiny gym with a lot of heart! This is a bouldering gym and def on the classic grunge side of the spectrum. Dont expect much in terms of amenities but they do a good job of setting a lot of problems in their smaller space and you can expect a good diversity there. Staff are friendly and good people and there is a small training area if you just care to hang.

This is a terrible gym. Monthly membership is as expensive as Seattle bouldering project and Seattle bouldering project is AT LEAST 10x bigger. The routes are unenjoyable and not fun. The location is in the hood, and my back pack was stolen in a cubby that is right by the main desk! I used a guest pass on my brother in the beginning of December and went back at the end on January and since he had already been they made him pay $20...making guest passes pretty much pointless. 75% of the gym was close due to setting and they didnt tell him until after he paid and didnt allow a refund. Also, You have to cancel your membership 30 days in advance so I was forced to pay another $60 to a place I didnt want to go to anymore. I highly DONT recommend.
