I was a member before the pandemic but I quit for about a year. Then because I am over 65 and a Silver Sneakers person, which makes membership free, it was a no brainer to come back. Starting up again has been great. The fact that you trained the staff to remember names, which includes me, has been mind blowing to me. A couple of staff (Valarie and Tomson) have been so nice to me that it feels more like a second home for me. Before the pandemic the customer service left me with the impression that none of the staff cared or even listened to my concerns about things that needed to be cleaned up. I remember chewed gum on the floor and spilled soft drinks that I pointed out and no one did anything about it. Now I see better clean-up practices going on and it is greatly appreciated. Keep it up!!

Greal location. Plenty of parking, large facility. Even when its busy there are plenty of machines. Extra friendly staff!
Planet Finess is the best bang for your buck. The equipment is clean and theres plenty to go around. I love the overall vibe that everyone belongs, and you dont feel like youre being judged. Also, the bring a guest option with my membership is awesome! The massage chairs are a nice amenity to have. They work decent enough to enjoy occasionally. Great gym!
Planet Fitness made it so convenient for me to exercise every day; I could always find the time because of their 24/7 hours. I do not love in the US anymore, but if I did, I would be a Planet Fitness member for sure!!

Nice, new, good looking planet fitness gym. There is 1 thing i noticed that is minor inconvenience which are the lockers. They are too small for putting gym bag in horizontally, it would only fit vertically in the lockers. Other than that, showers are big and even has a seat, toilet has big privacy doors, lots of lockers. Overall a comfortable place to workout.

Paid for a place that’s 24 hours but lately never open at night…….. hopefully next month I’m charged half price for the false advertising. *EDIT* in response to the owners response: It’s not. It’s literally been closed at night starting at 10pm for the last 4 days in a row. I would know, I live next door and have tried going every night…

Planet Fitness is the best. So many locations, most of them are 24/7, lots of equipment (I never have to wait for anything)... so convenient and such a low price... I can work out, lay in the hydro bed, tan and take a shower after work or whenever.

When checking in, its really great practice to have a person sitting or standing, attentive with a smile while saying welcome in or something nice. While walking in, a younger person was glued to their phone, didnt look up, and pointed to the scan code reader. The person with green hair and a lip ring dodnt look up.A few minutes later I walked up to tge desk to ask about the wifi password (Ive only been in a handful of times so its not saved in ky phone) and I could not get a response. A second individual said umm...what? And I asked for the WIFI password. The individual sighed, as if I was taking her from anmportant movie on her I-pad, to grab a stick note and write down the password.I would have thought that $13-15 per hour wpuld get you much better customer service than this. (Sighs, looms up from theor phone, and says here you go.)
Upgrade warning: the corporate promo leads you on to think you can immediately book tanning slots online. There is no way to do this, you must be physically in the gym and hope a bed is available,(in other words stop by when you hope its not busy) you can only request a bed 2hrs in advance after being physically present. This is not communicated at all. ie there is no convenience factor at all to the tanning part of the membership, and you wont find out about this until after you have made a 1yr committment at $150. Youve been warned.
The staff is very helpful and supportive!I couldnt even imagine lifting a single weight, let alone tie my own shoes (slip on shoes only please). So when this location opened years ago I signed up. Sure I was going to eat snacks and play Nintendo Switch in the massage chairs. I worked at the Gamestop nextdoor and like I said, I was in horrible shape. After a enough massage I felt good enough to clean around my house and do lite work outs. Baby steps and hard work resulted in me losing a bunch of weigh and getting healthy. So now I can use all the stretching equipment with minimum discomfort. Next month I will try lifting weights.Point is I couldnt have done any of this without the staff and equipment at Planet Fitness. They encouraged me to take my time and do things right. The Black Card is a huge money saver too. I normally would spend at least $100 per month for massages. So I ended up saving at minimum $80 by using the massage equipment here. Also being able to go to all the locations is great.Sign up and enjoy!

They are not enforcing masking amongst guests. When leaving the other day I counted 6 people with masks not correctly applied. The counter staff (which included a manager) had no interest in asking guests to pull up their mask or put it back on.Upon reading reviews this seems to be a recurring problem. As an essential worker myself I am familiar with needing to ask inconsiderate guests to mask appropriately. I do not understand why this is low priority for this gym. Their guests have the choice not to come but the employees are stuck being exposed with a management team that doest care about their health and safety.Update: there are multiple people incorrectly masking or not masking at all and the front desk staff is not doing anything. I have emailed planet fitness and am curious what they will do.
I love coming here, I was super worried about it being packed or having trouble finding space to workout. But everyone keeps to themselves and it’s big, plus the app helps a lot. The environment is awesome and staff gets me in pretty fast.

Hours changed with little to no warning. Was 24 hours now doesnt open til 6. Very upsetting when you joined specifically because the hours fit your schedule.Reply to owner.Would you look at that. Copy and paste cookie cutter response. Horrible business practice to change hours on a whim. The membership is now worthless tp me. Right after taking the good ol annual fee what a joke
The employees are all very kind, and I appreciate them having masks for the few times Ive forgotten mine. Some of the rooms can get pretty crowded with current regulations, but you should still be able to get in a decent workout.

Good gym, but unfortunate that they went away from their 24/7 hours. I used to go late to escape the crowds of people (some of whom chose not to wear their masks properly or at all). Now I have to go to their gym on Mildred.

In fact I always see him cleaning more than his agents.

I mean, you really can’t beat the planet fitness deal for $10. Lots of treadmills, cardio zones, clean locker rooms. Sure they don’t have bench press or non/cabled squat stations but they still have tons of machines and some individual weights and benches. Would’ve liked for the lockers to have built in locks for everyone and not just the black card members and maybe some less purple would make it just a little classier/less cheesy. Some big digital clocks on the walls would be nice too instead of some “lunk” alarm or whatever that thing is. Kinda hypocritical that it has “no judgement” phrases all over the gym, yet it stereotype’s bodybuilders.If all you need is the basics, then you can’t beat $10 mo. If you want more, like a sauna and hot tub or a basketball court, then you’ll have to cough up more dough for a ymca or some other fancier gym. I used to spend quite a bit of my time at the gym and would have spent more for those necessities but at this phase of my life, I no longer need the hot tub to recover or the basketball court to enjoy so this gym fits my needs well.But seriously, some clocks on the walls at the very least...

On 3/21/2021 at 0500, I called this gym to enquirer about my membership, I spoke to a lady there who refused to give me her name, rude, unprofessional and hateful . She told me ‘ I don’t want to listen to your concerns’ and hung up on me . I tried to call back but no one responded. I would not recommend this gym it appears they hire people who are clearly unprofessional when dealing with customers

I love going to the this gym when I come home to visit, it’s quiet, I can actually lift all the weights I want without some creepy people following me and people leave you alone when your trying to workout and it’s empty when I go in I love it I wish all gyms were like that.
NO ONE WAS WEARING A MASK! I am so disappointed because I want to start going to the gym again, since I stopped during covid-19. I walked in and started working out and quickly noticed that MOST PEOPLE were NOT WEARING MASKS as mandated. This is extremely unacceptable during a pandemic.
I come here first thing every morning. They always greet me by my first name and same when I leave. I really like that. Plus this place is really clean....its a great way to start the day!

Planet fitness is - simply put - convenient, and thats what I think puts it above other gyms. Walk in, scan your card, and get to it. Theres enough varied equipment that I think you could come in at any time for any part of your body that needed a bit of working out and find something for it. No matter when Ive come in, theres always been a treadmill or bench to use.One of the best things I could say about a gym is: its consistently clean. People arent exactly the freshest after lifting half their body weight or running for an hour, but I have yet to see any equipment that reflects this.I thoroughly recommend joining planet fitness.
There are so many fun opportunities to get healthy here!! it is truly not a judgmental place. i am still pretty new to working out regularly and i never feel any eyes on me or any intimidation at all! they have really fun fitness classes and the membership price is so affordable, even a broke student like me can pay for it. i cant compare it to any other gym, but i can definitely get more than a full workout here. the staff are also the sweetest people and are SO helpful and patient!

The staff are nice, and Ive never had any issues with anything. There are always machines available. I like the size of it, its not a huge gym, everything is laid out pretty well. Its a diverse crowd, old folks, young people, everyone just there focusing on their health. Its a nice atmosphere.
So many ppl not wearing a mask in a confined space! Covid is not over!! Pretty sad the employees doesnt do anything about it. 80s music that they wont turn down or turn off. Last PF had music on TV monitor. No spin bikes. Has hydromassage beds, tanning & massage chairs for black members only but I dont see any way that they enforce that. Kept clean. New gym. Easy parking.

What can I say the staff is very friendly the place is immaculate everybody is very attentive to clean and keep the machines clean. The locker room area and showers are well-maintained everything is great and very affordable pray almost everybody. You cant beat the price nice location, and great management. A little congested with the parking as a result of construction blocking off so much parking lot although there is parking if one is able to go further out. And there is no convenient handicap parking to be found nearby. The clientele seem to be serious and focused on their personal needs you dont feel like youre competing with a bunch of supermodels or professional weight lifters. I like the Easy Feeling and their facility. A little concerned about the advertising being misleading some of my friends saw the ad and felt uncomfortable with their wives or girlfriends going there and having men continually showing them what to do without their presence being there they have one gentleman showing a woman what to do and they felt that having another man fondle their girlfriend showing her how to operate an apparatus was distasteful. Perhaps the advertising Department should live in reality. Outside of that the place is great.
Great place to work out whether lifting weights or doing cardio. Plenty of new equipment. Staff is outstanding.. . They greet you by your name and make sure the place is kept spotless.
I just joined up for the Black Card membership here after being a guest at the Des Moines location and it’s been a very positive experience so far. All the equipment is new and clean, the gym itself is very spacious and the locker rooms (or at least the women’s anyway) is SO NICE. I really love how you get your own private changing area attached to the shower stall and that the shower head is adjustable so you can actually rinse off properly. Benches too! I haven’t had a chance to try out all the Black Card Lounge features but I did try the Hydro Massage which I can highly recommend. I didn’t catch her name but one of the girls at the front desk helped me find the right tanning lotion for when I’m ready to do that and was super sweet and professional. Looking forward to getting in shape here.
Lack of equipment
As a member already a big fan of Planet fitness. But I like this location different setup, some different equipment, in which I like to see. Great building layout for different workout stages.
The staff are really friendly here, and the gym itself is always really clean. Machines are always available. All in all a good place to work out.
Ok I dont want to say this but this is a great place to workout. Now Ive ruined it and all you people will start going there. It is clean and the equipment is perfect. The black card membership is awesome and the staff is wonderful. The manager is a great trainer and it shows in the appearance and friendly staff.

Well great gym good location but beware the have a problem with locker break in’s today my lock was cut while somebody ran the shop vacuume to cover up the noise who has access to the utility closet other than staff plus this happened last week when my other friend was here no updated warning like this is a on going problem just a common sense warning so far no answer yet beware do not trust your stuff here will give a full report as soon as the cops talk to managers to see how they handle this case proceed with caution
Updated review. There are four stair masters. One has been out of commission since June of last year. I asked the front staff for a timeline of repair. They said soon. They can’t offer any more info other than that. Managing the massage beds is a hard task for them. People stay there after the timer ends making it a long line to wait for a massage bed.

Its a awesome gym if they quit blowing cold air all over everyone so if you break a sweat you start to freeze,its now double the speed as before plus they tell the staff to lie and say that the fire department told them to keep the fans on which is a lie as I called the fire department and they have no knowledge of this issue, thats not very productive, youre trying to get in shape not exercise for no reason, the manager needs to be replaced with someone else who actually cares about the people and their fitness needs Its SO BAD that the staff has to use a space heater to keep warm keeping the gym at 55 degrees is ridiculous

No grunting, no large water bottles, cant push your workout partner unless you whisper. This place is worth many jokes lol, but its a gym and Im gaining
