So I’ve been coming to this establishment for a few years now. I started out visiting the original location downtown and once my barber (Juan) changed sites I migrated as well. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. I’ve never had a bad experience in their establishment. They’re always welcoming and easy to talk to, and provide a high quality service at a fair price. I highly recommend.

SO GREAT! Retro Barber Shop feel with hip touches. Made appointments for my two sons and got them in the same morning. Juan and Brenden did an excellent job on both boys! My youngest got a booster seat in the form of an upside down skateboard and he was beyond thrilled. The guys chatted with the boys and did exactly what we asked for. First time there and blown away! I have been a proud customer of Buzzerd’s Barbershop for the past three years. I am a military member and moved to WA in 2018. New to the area, I searched around for the right barber to ensure I was getting cleaned up properly. I went to several barbers in the Tacoma area but found that Buzzerds was the best barber of them all. Tim Smith has been cutting my hair for the past three years and I cannot say enough great things about his work. He has a meticulous attention to detail and ensures that you receive the best customer service and barber shop experience the moment you sit in his chair. I drive an hour each time to see Elvis. The attention to detail he has is insane. The atmosphere in the place is a true barbershop that I love visiting each time.

I came in today after a year of letting my hair grow out, COVID style. I really didn’t know what I wanted it to look like, but I gave Elvis some very vague ideas about the style I was interested in and he gave me the best cut I have ever had. The man is a magician, he is for sure my new regular barber. Thank you, Elvis!

Great barbershop located in downtown Tacoma. Shop is clean with a retro/hip vibe. I got my cut from Tim and I really liked him. Loved getting a eucalyptus steam before getting my neck shaved. I’d recommend this barbershop for sure.

First time customer today. Tim texted me precisely at my scheduled appointment time to let me know it was OK to come in. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and my haircut turned out EXACTLY as Id requested. I showed him a picture of what I had in mind, and he delivered. The shop was clean, COVID protocols were followed, and I felt welcome and very comfortable. Loved the old-school, classic approach to barbering. Hot towel and razor shave was a perfect way to end the week. Definitely made a customer for life.

Ive been to Buzzerds twice now in about 4 or 5 weeks.Amanda was great both times. She listened to what I wanted, and I walked out feeling & looking good!Theyre consistent with COVID protocols and cleaning. The staff is friendly and laid back. Prices are comparable to other shops around town.Parking in that area of 6th Ave can be tricky. Give yourself a few extra minutes to make your appointment on time.

Great overall experience, visiting from out of state for my brother’s wedding. But very nice and detailed cut. Love the whole vibe of the shop. It was really nice, Jason was a great barber. Next time I’m back in Washington state, and need a cut, I’ll be here. :)

Tim is surely the best barber I have ever had the pleasure of getting a cut from. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his craft and it shows. He treats his clients with respect and his work with an extreme attention to detail. Ive seen many barbers in my life and none have impressed me as much as Tim. I was extremely happy with his professionalism and will definitely be seeing him again. The shop itself is nice, parking isnt the best but its to be expected in a city. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for.

Got a gift card for Christmas from a family member for this place. I scheduled a standard cut with Juan on a random Thursday around 11am. It was one of the best cuts Ive ever had done.They absolutely kow their stuff and it shows in their quality of work. I once paid absurd amount of money in Vegas for a cut and although that was great. Elvis cut my hair today after an absolute butchering at another establishment. This man somehow salvaged things when I thought I was about in for a buzz cut. He is an absolute master, and I will for sure go to him again. Do yourself a favor and go hit up Elvis for a quality cut.

Great experience. Tim is my hair stylist. I came in for a comb over with high fade. The next visit i had was low fade. I tend to like that more. My hair turn out great during both my visits. will definitely go here again.

Ive been looking for a place that is dedicated to beards and mens grooming. After a quick search on Google I found Buzzerds. As I walk in to the shop I was immediately taken back at how the set up inside was. It gave an old school feel.Each barber had their name on a board and you were able to choose who you wanted. Since Chris welcomed me into the store first I chose him and boy was I not disappointed.Going in for a beard trim I was a little reluctant. Ive been the only person grooming my beard for a long time, besides the random shave off that I would do at another hair cut place. After we were done, Chris showed me the finished product. It was pretty damn good. Shaped perfectly and was able to control the side of my beard that curls under.They have earned my business for life.

Tims the man. Good convo, laidback environment, very COVID-aware and high quality cut everytime. From a time and quality perspective this is easily a $65 haircut at some other upscale salons and the base rate is a steal at $35; but dont forget to tip 😉. Referred my dad to Jason so we could get cuts at the same time and its the best haircut Ive seen on him. If youre looking for a new spot or even have a decent barber now, Id give these guys a shot - you wont regret it!

Best mens haircut in Tacoma. Other places will take care of you too but if you appreciate a good fade and barbers who will do exactly what youre looking for, Buzzerds is the spot. Walk in and put your name on the white board, I personally out a little R in parentheses next to my name so Rob knows Im requesting him. The dude is my favorite barber Ive ever been to. Hell chat with you as much or as little as you want if thats a factor of consideration for you. The atmosphere is very familiar to any Tacoma local, music, eclectic art, tattoos, but very welcoming to guys of all ages. Parking can be tough but check the side street/alley next the shop. Theyre increasing prices which is a bummer but understandable with how much theyve grown. Discounts available for buzz cuts/kids/military. Not sure if they offer veterans discounts, I always forget to ask. Two days a week (wed and Thurs I think) are appointment only but I usually go in on walk in days. You wont be disappointed. Ask for Rob for the best cut in your life.

Looked for a long time to find a REAL barber shop around the area. After moving from Portland this was the only spot like my old shop. Super glad I found it and finally have a Barber again.They go by reservations most days so definitely call ahead.

Love Buzzerds. The guys are great. Shop has an awesome Grit City vibe. I drive 30 minutes to stand in line an hour before they open to get my haircut here. My schedule doesnt really work with their appointment schedule so when I can go it is on a first come first serve basis. So I go early and it is worth it. I prefer Chris but if you have never been just throw your name on the shortest sign in board. Always walk away feelin fresh. Been coming here for a few months now and Im very happy with the haircut and the staff. Its a bit of a drive for me but well worth it. My hair can be difficult to cut but Rob gets it perfect everytime. Plus, they always have great tunes on the stereo.

I love everything about this place. The atmosphere is friendly, the customer service is on point and the barbers are awesome from what Ive seen them do. I was nervous about my barbers ability to cut my ethnic hair but Rob does an amazing job every time. Hes super fast and very consistent! Hes my go to guy when its time for a haircut.

This is a top tier barbershop. One issue is consistent cuts. I funneled through three barbers and each started out great and then received some cuts that weren’t what I asked for. The environment is good, but probably not good for kids with ears and eyes.

Great experience here with my haircut/beard trim. My barber (forgot his name) listened to my idea and totally nailed it. My beard actually looks presentable now. :) Ive had barbershop experiences where you get the same cut regardless of what you want. Not the case here!Everyone there was polite and I love the first come first serve thing. I think they do appointments one day per week though. I went 4 years ago got a solid haircut. Went back 2 days ago got the worst cut ive ever gotten. First off the dude didnt give me the cut i asked for, he faded one side way higher then the other. I walked out thinking it was soso, maybe it will grow in better after a couple days. In the end it was so noticeably bad it was joked about with everyone i came into contact with that evening so i shaved my head the next morning. Wasted $40 on these guys.

Says to call to make appointments but no one answers. Walk ins only welcome on certain days. All the previous shops Ive gone to will take walk ins when its slow. If its slow and you dont have an appoint they wont see you here. Take your money to a barber who wants your business.

Cut hair uneven on one side. Looked fine when brushed with hair products, but no good with natural lay of hair. Also beard trim was sloppy and not detailed. He did not even trim under lip or around mouth. No shave under the beard. Very disappointed and will not return. Price is too high too. Barber had no common sense. Some of the haircuts I saw were straight messed up. Do not go here, just stick with a basic haircut, you will be much happier.

Got there when it opened. Waited 2 hrs, took a phone call outside.(went out for a cigarette a few times) checked the board. Found out I was skipped. Sorta my fault but not really. Was by the window. Prices are a bit steep but the quality seemed to be there. Good clean atmosphere just wished I hadnt gotten skipped.

Walked in and got a seat after about 15 minutes. The barbers were courteous and friendly, got the haircut I wanted and the price was worth it for getting a hot towel, face wiped, strait razor around the edges, etc. I was very pleased!

This is what I would call a full service barber shop they do hot towels and straight razor shaves. The environment is friendly and sociable, all of the barbers are experienced. You will pay more here than going to Supercuts or Great Clips but for the level of service and quality you get it is worth it at twice the price.

How I wish I could leave a review of the reviews on here...so, Im going to give this shop a 5 star rating, while scolding the reviewers giving the lowest ratings.Dear Sirs,I feel like if you dont understand how to use a front entrance to a building, that maybe...instead of retaliating at the entire shop....just own up that you messed up.Oh, you had to pay $20-$30 for a hair cut? Oh boo hoo... Thats actually comparable to other shops in the area...or did you not do your research first? Your sideburn chops didnt get worked on? DID YOU COMMUNICATE THAT? Im gonna guess you did not... Barbering is an art and a service... Leaving a $5 tip on a $30 haircut is not only laughable...but its insulting to your barber. Most women....ON AVERAGE tip their stylists up to 50%, because well... its an art.That all being said.. Most of the reviews here on positive.:)

Had Juan, he was awesome and did a great job. I have very basic hair cutting needs so used to a cheap hair cut. With the straight razor neck shave and extra time they take, totally worth a few extra bucks. Will go again when in the area
