Annie the new owner is great! It sounds like she has had a hard time starting up the business because of some events that were out of her control, so make sure to go support her local business. She was really nice and pleasant to work with. I am very happy with her work.

Annie is great. She has had the place for a almost a year and has had to weather some tough seasons for business. I have been here three times now and have been pleased with everything. Bring a picture and let her know of any changes (shorter, longer, part side) that you might want. Will come back bring cash with you.

Annie is the new owner sense March. I have been here three times. I have gone to another barber here in Tacoma for a number of years but the line is usually very long. The three times here I was either first or second, time is money some of the time. And if you are waiting a long time breathing in all the vapors from cut hair in a small place is disgusting. Here I pay a little more but she is very clean. With less people she can spend more quality time on your hair. Also kept the door open for fresh air, and it is far enough away so you dont have hair blowing around. The hair cut is even all the way around as it should be. I recommend Annie.

Annie was excellent in listening to what I wanted in a haircut. She gave me a great cut, to the point where it accented my facial structure. Never had a hair stylist tell me about that before, let alone do it.

The worst barber aroujdb . she line my goatee into a circle shape and she messed up my line. She uses the same clippers to line as she does to cut hair. Never will I go here again . Do not recommend at all.

After a disappointing visit to another barber today, Sunny fixed my hair perfectly and quickly. She was really kind and welcoming, and with 22 years of experience, talented. Im lucky this shop was open on Sunday, otherwise I wouldve had to deal with a mediocre haircut.Im moving tomorrow, so I likely wont visit again. Has a new owner (Annie) and she is amazing. I just wanted a skin fade and she did extractly what I wanted and then more. She took her time, conversated, and even made suggestions with explanations to make my haircut even better! I was pleasantly surprised! She gave me a clean cut, and i LOVED it. She is very social and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place. I feel like people choose to only write reviews if they have extreme thoughts, so the reviews on here fail to show the real quality of her work.

Sunny is a horrible barber! I have no idea how anyone got a decent cut from her. She cut my sons hair and it looks terrible. Its uneven and the fade is not blended at all! She cuts way to fast, which explains why its not blended. When you ask her to fix it, she doesnt understand. Save your money and headache and go elsewhere!

I am from out of state, visiting Seattle area for a vacation and to visit some family and friends. We had some down time and my son decided to get a hair cut since he needed to start school as soon as we come back home. We noticed the huge Barber sign in a little strip mall and went in to be greeted by a cheerful and friendly lady named Sunny (also the name of the barber shop). She trimmed my sons hair very quickly and yet meticulously just the way he wanted and described to her. He was very pleased with his hair cut. Too bad, she cant be his regular and personal barber. I come here for a quick cut that looks good, is up to date style wise, and is worth a lot more than what other places charge.If you want your hair cut by an old man with white hair this isnt the place to go. But if you want a quality haircut for cheap this is the place. You wont go back to work scratching your neck off either.

I have been going to her since I was in High school (I am 24 now). She is very friendly and for the most part does a good job with hair cuts. Not only that, but very affordable. My only concern would be how short she trims my beard. It is not a big problem though and it will grow back. I am not worried.

Never returning!To quick to just give you what she thinks you need! I did NOT want a military hair cut, specifically state this first thing in the seat. Looking on her wall there are plenty of examples to choose from, had she listened for two seconds rather than hurrying you to just take what she thinks based off what you currently have and spouting of some babel. As a customer you are there for a fresh hair cut right? So as the owner and stylist, listening to a paying customer would be a great start for an improvement. Kept stating her longevity in the business and in the area in the 60 seconds she took to give the hair cut. When asked for a minor correction at the end, Sunny you cut a section/patch to close to skin here, or there is a section with a bunch of miss cut and missed hairs here in the fade that are stick out can you touch these up? Answer: Im #1 in this area never had no one complain . Woman, Im not complaining yet, Im rather answering the question how does it look?Never returning!

Worst experience anyone in our family has EVER had with a barber. She not only ignored my daughters wishes, she didn’t even come close to what the picture looks like. When my daughter said something she immediately began to get defensive and refused to even acknowledge that she made a mistake. Now the top of my daughters hair is gone and not a single curl remains. We were forced to go somewhere else to fix the damage but it was too bad. She is now going to wear wigs throughout her freshman year in high school.

Should have listened to the reviews. Well beyond the worst haircut Ive experienced.First I will say that if youre just looking for a buzz/military cut, this is the place for you. Shell have you done in about 60 seconds and $10 isnt bad.For the rest of the world not looking for that, just stay away. You will be violently assailed by a flurry of scissors and clippers for 1-2 minutes at which point youre free to go after paying for what one could only think possible by a 3 year old with safety scissors. I had some more errands to run when I was done and Ive honestly never felt so ridiculous. Thankfully I went elsewhere and after some laughs at my expense they got me fixed up.Pride aside, feel free to message me for a shot of Sunnys best.tl;dr: No, no, no...just no.(To be fair, this was from Sunny herself and I noticed that she did have an associate present. I definitely dont want to unfairly imply that her talent is equally capped, so if you must go I would highly recommend requesting her instead and saying a quick prayer).

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP BALD!!!! My daughters stepmom took her here yesterday August 28th to get her hair cleaned up before school starts. My daughter has her hair really short on the sides and the back and longer up top. My daughter wanted her sides cleaned up and a LITTLE taken off the top. Even showed Sunny a picture of what she wanted. Sunny proceeded to take a shaver and SHAVE right down the middle of my daughters head. So now my 14yr old daughter is BALD going into her 1st year of high school. This woman has done NOTHING to rectify this and didnt even apologize to my daughter. She argued with my daughters step mom that it was because my daughter is mixed and was BEYOND rude and combative while my daughter stood there in tears! To say Im irate is putting it lightly. NOw my daughter is starting off high school wearing a wig to feel comfortable in her own skin again. I have called and asked to speak to the person in charge and was told Im not interested and hung up on. I called back and got voice mail right away. I left a message and they called back and hung up as soon as I answered. this place should NOT be allowed to touch anyone hair!!! PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! I dont want anyone to go through what my girl is going through.THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, MEAN, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND DO NOT CARE 1 BIT ABOUT THE CLIENTS THAT COME TO THEM. SHAME ON YOU SUNNY!!
