We bought a car from guys 2 years ago. I would NEVER recommend guys auto to anyone. When we got there to pick it up it wasnt ready,not cleaned, gas tank cover wasnt fixed as promised oh and the huge thing was....we had to Register ourselves, we had gotten dropped off thinking we were leaving with our car. We waited over an hour for someone to let us know what was going on, finally they asked us if we wanted to do it ourselves along with 3 other customers (they gave us $40 to go to western lights dmv) but still charged us $175 in fees. I have a long long list of problems with with this car. EVERY SINGLE wheel bearings went bad..front & rear breaks went along with at least 5 MORE things. They act like theyre all about the people in commercial and say theyve been in business over 36+ in Syracuse. The company they financed us through does predatory lending and was not helpful at all when I tried to file a complaint. Beware of guys auto and READ YOUR CONTRACT VERY VERY CAREFULLY. The cars they sell are JUNK ... the owner & the guy who sits at desk were EXTREMELY rude when 2 weeks later I went back to speak to him about the issues I had. Oh forgot to mention ....34 days after having car, I had to buy a new battery, came out to go to work and it wouldnt start, called service through insurance company they sent towing company to check it out, he said battery was bad.

The customer service was excellent. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Mike was awesome and provided great service.

I wouldn’t buy a car from this dude ever again car died on me and I just bout the car a year ago. Still making payments on a car I can’t even drive. He talked me into getting the two year warranty and my warranty is expired already due to me reaching the mileage limit.

Bad experience. Dont never give them a security deposit because they will keep it and lie and say they going send a check to you in the mail if you dont buy the car . How rude still waiting on the check in the mail after we called two times and left voicemails no one still called us back . Dont buy nothing here such a rip off to get your money

I started having my auto serviced at Guys shortly after I was divorced and discovered most mechanics treating me like a ditz and trying to make me fearful so they could upsell me services/products I didnt need (nor could afford). Although successful at recognizing and thwarting those hard sell efforts, it was tiring to find a shop that was HONEST, RELIABLE, FRIENDLY, LISTENING, REASONABLE, and NOT out for their own gain at MY expense. Guys Automotive Service is ALL THAT AND MORE!!! I was immediately impressed with how they took the time to explain what goes into a repair, to show me parts of the car that were in need of repair, and to offer me various options and explain those implications (e.g. new vs. refurbished parts). I also appreciate how they give me a heads up about maintenance that I’ll need in the future. For instance, I brought my car in for an oil change during the summer and they noted my tires were getting quite worn. However, they recommended I replace them in Fall, just before the roads get slick. This attention to detail and exceptional customer service allowed me to budget the tires. I always have such a pleasant experience with Guys each and every time. Since my first repair 17 years ago, they have always treated me with respect. They have proven I can rely on them to partner with me in maintaining all of my vehicles. They truly do go ABOVE & BEYOND in service!

Only if I could give this place a zero for the unprofessional treatment I received. Walk in to buy a SUV the guy that was there didn’t make an effort to help me at all and was very rude. I wonder if the color of my skin or ethnicity had anything to do with the maltreatment I received. I Sure got a new car from a different dealership that had professional who knew how to treat and help customers.

Bought a 2014 handai Elantra and it handles like a dream. I have no credit and they worked with me and got me a great deal. Mike the sales guy is such a sweetheart and helped break everything down so I could understand. I would highly recommend them.

Brought a 2010 GMC Terrain in March car went completely dead in November couldnt figure out what happened called 5 shops nobody could tell me what was wrong with my car called them they said I might needed a new key and it was nothing he could do paid 500 for a new key after I get my key made the car still acting up

I purchased a 2009 Chevy Malibu from Guy’s Automotive on March 21st and it has been serviced three times since. On April 18th the vehicle stalled on me well downtown Syracuse at a read light. Vehicle wouldn’t start back up for 10 minuets. I then went to speak with Mike (the one who sold the car to me) to explain to him that I was not satisfied with the vehicle and how upset I am that I’ve have not yet been able to enjoy my new vehicle. He then told me that he couldn’t help me. Shortly after leaving, a message went across dash board stating a problem with the power steering(is not the fluid). Today would make 30days since I have had the vehicle and it has been nothing but trouble!!

Have gone to Mike at Guys auto for probably 10 years since being referred by a friend. Have since referred several others. Mikes an honest mechanic who earned my business after fixing another shops screw up for $45 -- a national brand shop replaced my e-brake cable but never actually tightened it and quoted me over $1000 for a different repair when I brought it back to them to try and hide their screw up. Mike found the problem, tightened the cable, and sent me on my way.No idea on the car buying side of things but this is a great repair shop.

Great service department that is not overpriced and dont try to sell you services you dont need. Honest and very trustworthy....

I bought a 2002 Jeep Liberty in October, i was not pleased the Jeep looked good but it has been in the shop 3 times already they picked up the tab they should it was still under their 30 day warranty but i had to pay 150.00 for a new back window because they arm broke off. Sorry, very disappointed in the sales department.selling a car that had alot of little things wrong with it I regret buying my Jeep from there i am afraid of what else will go wrong without a warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
