I have been looking for a place to take my 3 boys (7, 5, 3) to get haircuts and I ran across barbershop. My husband and I were so impressed with how quick and friendly they were. Even cartoons for the boys to watch. The stylists did a great job on each of the boys and blended perfectly. Amanda was exceptional and wanted to be sure we were satisfied. She was more than accommodating and friendly. She even put some temporary fun colors is my boys hair which they loved! We will be returning customers and my husband will be coming to get his hair done too. Thanks so much for an awesome experience!

My husband and I was just seen @ the SP barbershop. They did not do what was requested and clipper guards size to be used. Clipped almost all of his hair. I’m very upset especially cause this haircut is for OUR wedding this weekend. Overheard my husband ask how long the lady worked for and she said 4 years. I think she needs more training and next time please listen carefully to what customers need. Hair is very important and it is one of the first things people look at. It is a self esteem booster. Please LISTEN UP. 👏👏

Angelina is fantastic with little kids. It was my 1 y/o very first haircut and she had him smiling, distracted and entertained. He is a very wiggly mover and a shaker so I was especially impressed. Ask for her if you have a young one!

I went there to get my head shaved completely bald yesterday and it was a great experience. Amanda was the stylist who did it, and it was without a doubt the greatest haircut experience I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be going back.

I made a 4 pm appointment and arrived at 3:45. Three others arrived after me with 4:00 appointments and were seated ahead of me. My appointment time came and went. Guess it pays to be a regular. But how do they get new customers with that kind of treatment?

Went there to get a hair cut and was treated very rude by the hair cutter. I set up the hair cut last second and was 5 mins late but I told the receptionist I would fly right over from across town because the appointment was in 10 mins and yes I was 5 mins late but it’s not an excuse to treat a paying customer like that. I payed $23 for a 10 min hair cut and didn’t get what I asked for because there wasn’t enough time I guess. Like I said I was 5 mins late but come on the customers make your business. Plz don’t be rude I apologized for been late but then not getting the hair cut I asked for and leaving with my whole face full of hair and she barley cut my hair. I still tipped her $5 even though she was rude and barley cut my hair. I’m in the service industry too and I’d never treat a customer like this. I’ll never go back to this location again. If your going to charge that much for a hair cut at least take the time and try and do a decent job!

My boyfriend came in for a low fade side swept what did he leave with buzzed hair the, hairstylist didn’t know what she was doing completely buzzed off all his hai! How is that even remotely close to what he asked, not to mention they just rush you and don’t even offer all of there services they list online NEVER going back!

Was 5 stars… We always work with Angelina. She cuts my fiancé’s hair, my oldest and even our baby. Always a pleasant experience. Shop itself is clean and others are friendly..Update: the Barbershop was friendly until some of the ladies working there became caddy, we’re talking poorly of an employees child, and couldn’t handle a stylists conversations with her clients. The manager is rude, childish and she also looked at me like “why are you even here” as she was chatting with another girl at the front when I went to pick up my son. If you want to go someplace where the manager is fake and has no problem talking poorly of clients, and the stylists are nosey and also don’t have issues talking poorly about others then this is the place for you!

It always seems like a hit or miss in terms of my haircut. I have had maybe 6 different cuts here and I will usually never get the same person twice. Ive been disappointed twice out of those 6 times and the other 4 times Ive been satisfied but never loved. Unfortunately there arent many barbershops where I can make a same day booking like this one which is usually why I end up here.

I made an online appointment for my son. I had to wait in the car because of COVID, which is fine. The stylist asked my son if he wanted his hair washed and he said no. She proceeded to cut his hair dry and it was uneven. It was 10 minutes from start to finish. When I called to ask what is provided in the basic haircut, they said wash, cut, dry. So, why ask whether someone wants a wash and why in the world would someone cut dry hair?

Had appointment for 5pm, arrived after work at 5:05. Was asked to sit down for 5 min then was told since I was over 10 minutes late they cant fit me because someone else had appointment at 520 and they cant cut hair in 10 minutes. That was it, didnt offer to reschedule or apologize or anything so Ill be going elsewhere from now on. Every other place Ive been to can accommodate being 5 minutes late to an appointment I scheduled days ago.

Finally, a comfortable and relaxing place for a really good cut. I love the old style barber shops, but they are getting harder to find. This place mixes what I like about those with the modern cut I want, too. For $19 I got a cut, hot towel treatment, and a shampoo AT THE END (no hair dropping on me the rest of the day). Easily the best experience Ive had in ages.

Went in for a haircut. Haircut was pretty bad. Ive never been a bad review person because why say anything if you cant say something nice but this was really bad haircut. Made an appointment with a stylist. Arrived 15 minutes early and waiting for my call. The stylist ran over on the previous client 5 minutes, so apparently that cancelled my appointment? I was told there was another appointment an hour from now... right... clearly they misunderstand what an appointment means.“You know how to take reservations, you just don’t know how to hold the reservations”

This place used to be my favorite place for my haircut but not anymore. The woman did my hair this time hurt me so badly. She’s kinda rude and didn’t even care drying my hair at the end. This is the third time I walk out of this place unhappily. Everytime its getting worse and worse. Not gonna give it a chance again.

Been going to the barbershop- a hair salon for men, for years now. It has gone from great to good to bad over the years. The cost for a regular haircut has gone up from $12 to now $19 in that time-frame. Now today in Sun Prairie comes an experience with Kylie that was less than acceptable. Kylie did not introduce herself, asked if I wanted a shampoo, did not dry my ears after the shampoo and never offered a massage.I get that prices may go up but service levels should not plummet in that time but rather should maintain or increase. Jim March take note that this customer is not impressed.

Have a had a variety of stylists here, all very nice. Like that paying cash is a bit cheaper than card. Peanuts and comfy chairs if you need to wait. I always call ahead and they get me right in even if I’m a bit early. Cut, shampoo, and massage all included. Nice little TVs at each station.

Asked to keep the long length of my hair with shorter number 4 sides; shaved way too short. Not happy at all. My first visit to this location was pleasant but this one not so much. Also take note that it took about 10 minutes.

It was a fantastic experience. Ive been there 7-8 times now, and every time has been great. Im very specific with what I want and they never fail to deliver. My favorite thing is that the haircut is cheaper than SportClips and includes the same MVP additions in the price of the haircut (hot towel, shampoo, and massage).

Also, without a doubt the most comfortable waiting area chairs you’ll find, I didn’t have to wait long since I had an appointment but if you walk in and have a bit of a wait you’ll really appreciate it!

Great haircuts, easy and quick. After using Sport Clips and Great Clips, I was pleasantly surprised by The Barbershop. The staff was friendly and the actual cut was great. They were quick and thorough. The style I like can be difficult (from my experience at other companies) but The Barbershop did a great job. No funky hairs sticking up and everything styles perfectly.

I love the barbershop! I have been coming here for years (first east side, then Sun Prairie when it opened) and couldnt be happier with the results. No matter who you see you can guarantee a good cut. I request Chelsea to cut my hair as its perfect every time!

Nearly the same price as the big chain salons (Great Clips, Sport Clips, and Cost Cutters) which are all very nearby. The hot towel, shoulder/neck massage, shampoo, and a bit more personalized service feels nice. They take appointments, but no online reservations yet (5 stars even they do). Very pleased with my cut, and didnt feel like I was being rushed through a revolving door of part-time stylists.

Katalina is by far hands down the best experience I have had in a long long time. She is very nice and considerate of the cut you want. She listens and tries to figure out what length you want and recommends the product that best fits your hair type and the hair style youre trying to achieve. Reasonable prices too.

I received the same amenities but definitely felt more personalized which is crazy cause I was pretty much already receiving that with Kat. First time at shop. I was not happy. My haircut was way too short and the top edges too long. Even after saying I like my hair longer and I needed the top edges smoothed out instead of sticking out, the stylist did the exact opposite.I also had grey blending. It was done well. I liked the color not the haircut.

Until I moved, this is where I would get my haircut every haircut that I would get. There staff is friendly, skilled, and will put your hair exactly how you want it. They also do beard care which apparently is pretty good.

Katalina does the best job on my husbands hair. He has been going to her for well over a year. The products she recommends are perfect, she gets us in and out in a timely manner, always polite and friendly.

Kat is the real deal! She’s funny, down-to-earth, great at what she does and most definitely worth the wait (if there ever is one!) she loves what she does, and in today’s world where people spend years just “going through the motions,” it’s incredible to find someone who is just as interested-if not more so- in the way you look on a daily basis. You can’t go wrong with Kat, writen by a long term customer and fan. I would never allow anyone else to touch a single hair on my head.

Loved going in and being very skeptical being as tho many people have messed up my hair from my Coilics. I was greeted warmly and got the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and it was like I didn’t have to tell her anything she already knew. Great personality and very knowledgeable about hair and products if you have questions. She cut a little boys hair before me and I thought she was excellent with him and I think the mom thought so as well as I heard her say “idk what you did but he’s never sat or looked that good we will always follow you can I have your card and schedule to send my husband to you”. Overall a very well kept place and I will definitely be back to see her for future haircuts as well as recommending this place to my colleagues!

They take walk-ins as long as youre willing to wait, but you also better have a clue as to what you want for a haircut. If you dont, depending on who you get it may take some time to figure things out if theyre unable to help much with the decision making. I say this because my experience was basically trying to go off what experience the lady I got had, and it didnt make it easy to come to a conclusion...I had been buzz cutting my own hair for years and 1 haircut before this one decided to grow it out, so I hardly know what I want. Certainly this isnt all their fault, but its nice when the one with more experience can help guide you through like one from another location had.Anyways, each booth is separated which gives you a level of privacy that many places dont offer. You can expect to get a haircut, shampoo(with hot towel), and quick massage if you want it. Theyll also apply product if you like, which I was actually mildly annoyed that the lady I got seemed almost unable to drop the fact that I didnt want any product in my hair.

Every one of these locations Ive been to in the Madison area have never left me disappointed. Checked this one out today and it was no different. Great service, great people and great price.

Guys, go here. These ladies know exactly what theyre doing, ESPECIALLY TINA. Shes an expert with a straight razor and never fails to give a perfect haircut! Shampoo/Condition and a massage at the end are all part of the price, not to mention some of the best personalities you could talk with. Going back to Mondas. The barbershop had the most snobby and rude employees Ive ever had the displeasure of meeting. I live 45 minutes away. Had an appointment at 10am today. I was at the Reiner rd exit and 10:02 almost there. When I get the most ridiculous phone call about how Im late and have to reschedule. The woman was clearly having a bad day and took it out on me. I felt like I was getting chewed out by my mom. Except this girl was probably 20 at best. Unprofessional and rude. Thanks for wasting an hour and a half round trip over two minutes. Good riddance

I have been a Barbershop customer for more than 4 years and their service price only keeps going higher and the haircut service is also not consistent. Also as a barbershop to serve only men, they don’t shave or groom beards.Unfortunately I will start going to somewhere now.
