Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. Gentleman with dreads /braids assured me he didn’t have to be here to help me. He also helped a few others behind me.I waited over 45 mins to an hour to get into a vehicle after the fiasco he caused, while he helped others the gentleman did nothing but sit in his behind and tell me he could refuse me a dad and was doing me a favor knowing damn well we are there cause of an accident.Now hunter, thank you fog your help and customer service! I appreciate you! You went above and beyond to help knowing the gentle prior was trash!
Wanted to rent a car for ONE day not even a full 24 hours to get to some specialist appointments that are about 2 hours away. My current car is just in to bad shape to make it that long. The woman on the phone was very nice but they require a $300 deposit. So in total I would have to spend almost $400 to rent a car that is insane and completely not affordable. I don’t understand why it would be so much. I understand it is refundable but how long will that really take to get back. Especially since it is a Friday. Maybe be able to get that back Monday or Tuesday. I really needed to rent a car today what a shame. Also they asked me for a utility bill with a zero balance????? We are in a pandemic most people are living paycheck to paycheck right now and struggling. On top of me being very sick this is just a major disappointment.

The staff at this location couldn’t have done more to help me and my family have a great trip. They offered up two options and let me know which one I should go with. They didn’t disappoint with their recommendation and it is an SUV I have put on my shortlist to look at in the future. The staff waived over mileage fees as we were headed on a long trip. The car had a little bit of a funky smell, nothing some air fresheners didnt fix. They waived the gas fillup at the end. They went above and beyond to take care of us and we will DEFINITELY rent from this location again!

I have a truck that was involved in an accident so I asked for a truck to be able to pull my boat. I was given a truck with no hitch and it was filthy, smelled of smoke and had been sprayed with some type of flower smell. I called to get another vehicle but when I got there to swap I was told none of there vehicles can be used to tow. I then asked for just a car to go back and forth to work but they said it would be 5 days before I could one. I was about 15 miles from home.band had to call to get a ride.
Falsely accused of damage. Terrible customer service. Two weeks of no one answering my calls or calling me back after many emails requesting/ demanding a call back to discuss. All I get is an email. Ridiculous. I will use AVIS from now on. Do Not recommend. Scammers

I finally have time to write my review on my experience with this Enterprise location. I needed a last-minute rental to get to a job site in Arizona and this Enterprise location was showing they had one Ford available (according to the agent I booked it through). I needed the vehicle for a month and had to leave town that evening. When I got there, the guy assisting me told me he could give me a minivan or there was a vehicle up the street he could pick up for me, but it would need to be cleaned (that was an understatement). I didnt want the minivan so I told him I would wait. He brings back the vehicle he would be renting to me and attempted to clean it. My sister and I watched him rush through the vehicle trying to clean it. The guy that is employed to clean the vehicles was cleaning a car that he started cleaning before the agent arrived. The agent finished cleaning the vehicle he was renting me before the professional cleaner finished the car he was working on so I already knew that vehicle was not going to be cleaned properly and I wasnt wrong. The vehicle was dirty on the outside and the inside. He claimed to have wiped it down, but there were visible dirt and crumbs everywhere and smudges on the glass. I asked if he could clean the smudges I could see, but what I did see (because of the direction of the sun), was that he didnt clean the inside glass. I left Summerville when it was dark, so I didnt discover this the sun reflected directly into the windshield and there was a nasty footprint on the passenger side of the window 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮. Additionally, I was wearing a mask when I picked up the vehicle and I left the mask on when I drove home so I didnt realize home much the car had been smoked it. As I went to the trunk to packed, the smell of cigarettes almost killed me. It was so horrible. I couldnt take the vehicle back because they were already closed when I discovered this and I needed to get on the road so I could make it to my appointment I had in Texas on my way to Arizona. I sprayed Febreze all over the interior hoping to eliminate the horrible odor, but that didnt work. The smell of Cigarettes makes my nose run, and thats exactly what I have been dealing with since driving the vehicle. In addition to the smudged window, the crumbs everywhere, and the cigarette smoke, the trunk of the SUV had a big juice spill and a lot of sand and more crumbs. Look, I understand you all were just trying to get me into a vehicle, but giving someone a vehicle in this condition is unacceptable. I should also add that the vehicle I got was a Nissan Rogue, even though a clean Ford was sitting on the lot. When I asked why I couldnt get the Ford, the agent when inside and came back out and told me his manager said I couldnt have it and he didnt have a clear reason why I could have that vehicle. This experience is disappointing all around.

Getting the care was fast and efficient, however the car smelled like an ash tray! They had just cleaned the car which masked the cigarette order at first. At the end of the day when I got back in the car is literally smelled just like an ask tray! This was the second vehicle as the first one they tried to put me in had been sitting long enough to detect the ash tray smell.
I called my local Enterprise Rental on E. 5th North St. in Summerville, SC when I wanted to attend my cousins funeral 5 hours away. I needed to leave earlier than the 8:00 am opening time just to ensure I wasnt late. Josh W., the manager, really understood my dilemma and told me to come in a bit earlier and he would make sure I was on the road as soon as possible. THIS is what true Customer Service is all about. I will, forever be grateful to Josh for helping me out. In the future, when the need arises for another rental car, you can bet that Enterprise and Josh W. will be my ONLY choice!
When making the reservation, I chose the “you pick” option. I received a fantastic jeep 4 x 4 that was comfortable and had all the features one would ask for. I rented a vehicle on Saturday returned it on Saturday and they did not process my refund for the $300 deposit until Monday, supposedly but Bank of America does not see anything pending and they have finalize the original charge for $411 already. With this so called new deposit requirement y’all should make sure to return the deposit the day the vehicle is returned or the following day if after hours. I will wait until tomorrow to see if the monies is returned or I will be calling corporate!

The vehicle that was rented to me had four bald tires I didn’t realize that was the case until I was driving in a Charleston rain storm and that was too late. Had to take the vehicle back and inform them about the tires. So they rented a truck with dents all around the vehicle on every corner. I leave the truck at the dealership to pick up my vehicle. Another location calls asking about the changing conditions of the vehicle and asking for my claim number so they can file with my insurance. Tried to kill me with the first rental and file a claim on the second against my insurance for Damages on a truck that was covered in damages when I jumped in it, upset about the first vehicle. If you can use a different car rental place I would highly recommend it.

We normally dont have issues renting from Enterprise however this was the worst rental ever in history! We rented a luxury car but when we got there they didnt have anything compatible. We end up getting a Full size SUV. The truck was disgusting, foot prints trash left behind and worst of all the vehicle needed shocks. We were scared to drive because every bump it felt like we could loose control of the wheel. We are too far to turn around to trade in the vehicle, even if we did there werent any options.The staff, however was nice and customer service was on point!
After visiting two other Enterprises in South Carolina; I truly had no hope of good customer service. But boy was I wrong. My first interaction was with Clint. He was nice, professional and super helpful, with a great smile. We were in and out in less then ten minutes. He even took the time out to show me a few things about the car. When we returned the car we met Chelsea. She has a bubbly personality. She was very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend using this enterprise in South Carolina. The staff there are all fabulous.
I got a call in the morning which great because they let me k ow they close at 12 on Saturday. The booking website didn’t give me that info. I got there and the car wasn’t ready. They washed the outside of the vehicle but the inside was dirty. There was residue of some sort in the dash that I refuse to touch and there is gum in the floor of the vehicle. I little disappointed with the interior. There was below a quarter of a tank of gas. Not knowing and being familiar with this type of vehicle, maybe me nervous and I spent extra money on gas. Overall experience on this vehicle was low. I will continue to use enterprise though.

I usually love dealing with enterprise, but not this time. It was raining pretty hard, so they asked if the rogue closest to us would be fine. I agreed and they ran around the car not really checking for damage. I signed off and got in to leave and noticed the cabin hasnt been cleaned. Im assuming someone just dropped it off. Smelled like smoke and everything was sticky. Taking it back and getting something else. I cant haul my kids around in this.

My husband had to travel for work and had made a reservation to pick up a SUV at 10am. When we arrive they have several SUVs but tell him he cant have any of those and offered him a Mercedes. He had a reservation for a 10am pick up, yet the vehicle wasnt ready and they scramble to clean and disinfect it prior to giving him the vehicle. We sat and waited for almost an hour for the vehicle to be ready. Why make a reservation if we still have to wait so long and its not ready upon arrival? They were rushing around to get things done. But rushing to properly clean during covid is not something I want. Time is precious and its annoying to sit and wait because this company was unprepared. The vehicles should have been carefully cleaned prior to arrival. It also seemed pointless to make a reservation when the vehicle type he reserved they had 3 available on the lot and yet told him they were unable to offer him any of those today. I think because his company has a contract with them and they would probably make more money off someone else at a full rate. Very dissatisfied

They didn’t pick up at the body shop I went to and I had to Uber over to get the car.Upon arrival, I was asked if there was any car on the lot that I wished to have. I had to tell them that I would only accept a car that was covered by my insurance claim. I am concerned that this approach might cause others who don’t question them to have to pay out of pocket above what insurance covers.Although I had a reservation, there was no car ready for me. It was 90 degrees and I had to wait outside d/t social distancing.Despite requesting a non-smoking vehicle, I refused the first car brought up due to strong smell of smoke. The next car they brought up had AC on and air freshener spritzed in. Once I parked it, there was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke present. You could also see a film of smoke on the inside of the windows. I live 30 miles away and wasn’t able to take it back Since I work full time. I had to drive a smelly, disgusting vehicle for a week until my own car was repaired.I would not recommend and will not return there.
They are rude unprofessional people!! The whole group! Would not ever rent from here again!! Don’t make the mistake of giving them a card number because they draft out of it constantly and will not give you an invoice to explain charges!!

When Budget didn’t have the van I’d reserved (and wouldn’t lift a finger to correct their mistake), these dudes gave me a reason to never even try to use another rental car company again...thanks guys, you two made a customer for life with 10 minutes of of the best customer service I’ve ever received...

She listed to my issue and resolved quickly.On two occasions Kennan Woodward, from the management team, went above and beyond. Im a rental customer from Mississippi. Yesterday, on October 8, 2020, I was driving by the Summerville location. I needed a wash terribly. I pulled in, saw Kennan, and ask about a quick wash. He jumped right on itToday, October 9, 2020, I came back to that location to return my vehicle. Thats when I discovered that Kennan was not part of the vehicle clean up team but that he was management. Really impressed me.I had an issue during my rental. Kennan addressed my concerns and elevated it up the chain of command for further review.Top notch staff. Top Notch management. I would highly recommend This particular Enterprise Car Rental location.They are Vet friendly as well
My car was in the shop over night and my car dealership set up a rental for me thru Enterprise. 🙌🏻They also sent an Uber to my home and they took me to Enterprise. When I got there I told the guy My situation and he immediately found my information in the system. The guy (forgot his name, sorry) grabbed some keys and gave me a few options of cars I could choose from. He was so nice and friendly and the pick up process was quick and easy. I returned the car after 2 days. The same guy that put me in the car was there and he made sure I had a great experience with the car and everything. I had no problems! I turned the keys in to another guy who was super sweet and friendly as well and made sure I was good to go. I have used Enterprise for years and this was the quickest, most comfortable experience I’ve had! Enterprise in Summerville, SC! Super nice employees! Great customer service! I give 5 stars!

I give you a five star but I feel that yall should let the people know that there is a deposit along with the car payment and I went through a lot before I could have get that car and I wasnt satisfied at all but the young man who helped me he conversate me and he did very very well but otherwise the employees are very very customer service and everybody else but I dont like to go to that experience anymore that is just too much that they took me through and I was there from 11:30 to about 2:00 trying to get it straight at 4:00 matter of fact but Enterprise is very good but that deposit need to go unless you dont have a credit card
It was horrible . I actually have loved enterprise until this last experience in Summerville. The car was filthy and they took a deposit of $50 and never returned it even though I cleaned the car and returned it in better condition than when I got it . I emailed them and never got a response !

I had 2 rentals within 2 weeks. First rental had smoke smell that could not be corrected. The 2nd rental I canceled because of choice of vehicles. I have used the Summerville (5th St.) location about 15-20 times over the past few years and always had a GREAT experience. Having no choice within a vehicle class is unacceptable. I wont be renting from this location again. The associates working at the location were nice, but just kept saying Im Sorry, but that is not good enough.
The online reservation process was simple and easy to use. Social distancing measures were in full force when I went to pick up my vehicle, but it did not negatively affect the customer service. It was definitely a great experience for me!

On this past Monday, we received a rental from Enterprise, Summerville office to use while our only vehicle was in for repairs at Fender Mender for 7-10 days. We are both older, 65 & 76, and find it more difficult to deal with life’s anxieties now. My husband works and a car is a necessity still. Friday am we went out to pickup a few groceries before my husband would head to work the next morning, it didn’t happen. The rental would not start or unlock except for drivers side, vehicle dials jumping like crazy and no ignition. We mistakenly thought no problem it’s another whole day before it’s “a necessity “. Sum it all up between noon Friday up until 10am this morning, Saturday (work day),...Enterprise, Eric sent a wrecker picked up the car and said he would return with another from Columbia. Nevertheless, it’s now 10 hours later and no call back & no car?! My husband is still trying to communicate with them via phone since waking up this morning. No service, and no heart whatsoever. Normally I do not have any problems with the Summerville location. But after my last rental not sure. No one can give me answers on why They charged my credit card a toll fee when I did not go through any tolls. I drove up to the mountains and back. There are no tolls in the mountains. So now I’m waiting for answers. I’m not a big fan of getting my credit card charged out of nowhere for no good reason.
Best place to rent a car because they will pick you up and drop you off. I have used Enterprise twice in my life once this week. Its a good service company.

They were great. Needed a one-way rental to Ct for a move. Budget, in Notthwoods malll, didnt have the right van that we rented online, and was not interested in helping. Poor customer service. We stopped at Enterprise Summerville location and they were huge help. Got the van quickly and was able to leave 10 min after the time we would have left.

I’ve been with enterprise for about 10 years now.. yes I’ve tried the other guys but the service is not the same! I went to enterprise on 5th Street and I’m from Upstate NY every enterprise I’ve been to across the board in RI, MA, NY, SC and NJ have not let me down and if they did they definitely tried to fix it some people say enterprise is a little on the pricey side but I tell them you get what you pay for and it’s always been worth it to me. Great job guys and thank you for helping me travel safe!
My last few rentals since I’ve started back renting I’ve had very fast and efficient service (curbside). Car has been clean full an ready to go. I can tell the rush days tho.
The car I got was through an insurance claim, the car had low washer fluid and always had a low tire pressure. They was okay at first but later on in the claim customer service started falling apart. I would talk to one person in the morning and another one calling in the evening over the same issue and it was already been resolved. I ended up going to the hospital for a week and they was supposed to take money off my card but they didn’t. They was trying to call the police because a lack of what they did. The one in Summerville is ridiculous I always used enterprise after my experience I don’t think I’ll ever be back.

My wifes car was being repaired so she rented a vehicle from this location. Unfortunately they made her walk back to the repair shop in 90+ degree weather. Will never use again and wouldnt recommend if this is standard operation procedures

Everything was great. The driver that picked me up was this older man that was just so so nice. I hope he enjoys his vacation he was about to go on! The staff was so nice too. Dupree and a taller pretty woman helped me even though I arrived at 5:57 like a jerk.
For the young drivers (under 25) out there that end up needed to rent a car for whatever reason, I point you here. They dont require you to have a credit card if you live locally. The staff, especially Wanda, is friendly and helpful and gave me more than enough information to confidently book a rental with her over the phone after a failed booking with Hertz. She made sure I knew exactly what I needed to bring with me to pick it up and how much it would cost after the fees and deposit, where to pick it up and what time. So far Im impressed. I will absolutely update my review further after picking up and dropping off the rental.
I regularly rent from this location for work trips. The staff is always friendly and my experience with them is that they are efficient. If something isnt quite right, they have gone out of the way to make it right for me. I really appreciate that. I have seen this location can get slammed with a lot of people at once, so you might check ahead if that is a problem for you. Parking around the building is pretty tight.

Easiest and best experience I’ve ever had renting a car. I reserved it online, so when I got there it was less than five minutes at the counter and then out to inspect the car. Returning it was just as easy. Any time I need a rental, this is where I’m going! Everyone was so friendly too!
Don’t get a car from this place. The guy I worked was very unfriendly from the beginning and then upset with me because I told him I wasn’t taking a car with a nail in the tire and something hanging from the car. He proceeds by storming off acting like I did something wrong comes back approximately 10 mins with another car never apologizes even after I told him the way he was handling the situation wasn’t acceptable. I rent cars multiple times a year and even though this was a insurance claim I took the car back an hour later because I felt like they didn’t deserve my business and I’ll never go back or recommend this place. I processed back to Hertz my go to car rental and they tell me how everyone has been complaining about this location recently.
We turned in a vehicle this past Saturday the 26th, my daughter had hidden her iPad under the front passenger seat, because we had gotten of the vehicle. 30 min after we notice the iPad was left in the same spot, so we returned to the Enterprise branch, and the vehicle had been rented to another client. The agents had to contact the clients to aware them of the situación, since they informed us that the iPad was not at their possession, and we had to wait for the return date which was the following Monday. My husband called enterprise at this local office 3 times and was placed on hold and disconnected, then I tried 3 more times until I got in hold of someone. The Manager by the name of Brandon! had said to me “ we had contacted the client that rented the vehicle, and no answer. This went through until today Monday the 29th. At the end they never got of hold of the client”””” the truck was turned in. Therefore they never spoke to the client about it. That being said!!! These employees did not do there job or they just kept the iPad. Terrible Service !!!!
Worst experience. They will not rent me a car because I don’t have a utility bill in my name. I had to move back in with my mom and her bills are not in my name. They would not accept anything else with name and address on it not even my insurance bill. It’s ridiculous and I’m without a transportation to work for another week or so....
The first car I was brought was on empty for gas and missing a hubcap. The driver was aware this car did not have hubcap. He then told me I could take it to the lot for an exchange.I am still awaiting my refund of deposit!

Great customer service. Chelsea went above and beyond to get me into a full size pick up. I am a disabled vet. She also was thankful of my service. This is the second time in a year renting from them. Both times they got me better then I needed and at the lower cost. She Chelsea gave me a military discount a long with a free up grade. The upgrade was due to not having the lower unit cleaned and ready yet. So instead of making me wait 10 to 15 min she put me in an amazing Ford Pick up that had all the bells and whistles. Back up cam, electronic folding mirrors, push button start, and my favorite heated and cooled seats. I was in and out in about 10 min total. Thats also with walking around the truck to look for damage. Great job!!!! I will and do recommend renting from this Enterprise. Thank you again and thank you Chelsea.
I have spent lots of money with enterprise, but this was my worst experience ever. I was told no pets, well my last rental had dog hair everywhere, just gross. But the absolute worst was roaches...the van I rented in Summerville, had roaches. This is very nasty.

Best place around for car rental. Great rates good cars and all of the rental agents I have worked with go out of their way to help make renting a vehicle from Enterprise a great experience. My opinion they are the best I use them every time I need a rental car.
I reserved a car two days before hand and showed up at the facility and there were none of my usual models or any other cars available. Had to wait 25 min for assistance, then had to come back two hours later. The vehicle was not large enough for my tools and had to request a upgrade to a suv for handle my travels. Not the usual service I get at this facility and with my long time status I should have been given a upgrade free for the amount of efforts on my part just to come back and get a car.
Chelsea deserves the 1 star, not Enterprise. Rude, incompetent, and has the nerve to laugh on the phone if you dont get what she is saying right away. Our local insurance agent called and spoke directly with Chelsea to make sure that our business insurance did not cover any of the cost. Our agent called me back and said she was not impressed with Chelsea, and she has been sending clients to Enterprise for YEARS. She said she was very short, unwilling to work with her, and rude. Absolutely lacked professionalism. Chelsea notified our agent (not us mind you) that our reservation was considered a MOCK reservation, and would be cancelled if it was not through an insurance claim. So I would have showed up to Enterprise today to pick up the vehicle, and would have been told that my reservation was cancelled. I would not have received a call from Chelsea. Our company leases vehicles through Enterprise and spends over 100k a year alone. It is unfortunate, because Enterprise is great....they just need to invest in some training for Chelsea.

Everyone is usually very nice at this particular Enterprise. As a long-term customer I have come to trust they have my back.. They have a great selection of new cars. The facility is very nice and always clean. Plan ahead if trying to leave out for a holiday as they get very busy.
Im often told that Im a tough customer at times, but these rental agents worked with me so graciously. Any issues were immediately resolved and the cars were quality ones. I was treated respectfully at all times and Ive been dealing with this location for over a month now and its been a pleasure thus far. I recommend this quality of service to everyone!
Had to take an emergency trip 1300 miles away. Got a car from enterprise to save gas, mine gets 12mpg, and was extremely pleased.
I normally have a great experience with this location but twice they have dropped the ball... I set up a reservation online and received a confirmation phone call the day before and let them know I need to be picked up. The next morning at my reservation time no one is here. I call and its apparently not noted that I need a pick up so I drive myself there at a later tine because Im now running late for my other appointments. 2 weeks later I do the same thing. I miss a phone call 40 mins before my appointment to confirm pickup but call back 10 minutes later and confirm. Its currently 30 after my appointment time and Im just getting picked up. Im also located almost in the middle of 2 locations and getting fussed at by the driver about the inconvenience of having to come to pick me up. I have confirmed with them everytime that my home is closer to this location. This is ridiculous...
They try really hard to get it right but sometimes they dont. Ordered a vehicle for eight adults and got a Suburban. Do the math? We actually needed a 15 passenger van to accommodate all that was being taken with us for our trip. Next time Ill have to make sure they have it right. But for passenger vehicles theres no problem.
Have chosen Enterprise for our out of town trips and have always been pleased. Others may save a couple dollars, but there will be inconvenient details. While the cars offered are the industry standard, I would love to see an expanded selection of vehicles.
Great place to rent from. Ive been here a couple of times and the service is great. Just very long wait times every time I go. Car selection is not that great as well. For a full size sedan class, I only had two options, a Jeep Patriot and a Nissan Frontier. Both terrible on gas, only went with the Patriot because it was newer and fewer miles. Plus the little bit of extra space was great for my families stuff. Fuel mileage was complete crap though, all interstate mileage only got me 250 miles per tank, at almost 5 fill ups. I paid more for gas than I did the rental. Would have loved an actual sedan as apposed to a mini SUV.

Staff was very professional an car was clean.
Poor service-2 people with reservations waiting in line behind a persone who walked in after, with no reservation asked questions then get a reservation for the next day.Half hour wait on a preset reservation.Poor policy-Customer service representative asked my my employers name (nothing about renting a car should require employment info)Was told that my insurance was too costly of a deductible, then told any accident even if not at fault would be charged to me, and every day the vehicle is in the shop I will be charged as if it was in use. Pressuring me to buy their insurance for 30 dollars.200 dollar refundable deposit in addition. And was no where mentioned in my reservation confirmation.
I was a customer at the Trolley Rd location. Their customer service went down tremendously and I refused to give them anymore of my business. I took my business to this location. They had the requested vehicle there and the gentleman who assisted me was very kind and professional. The reason for the 4-star rating is because the vehicle was dirty (fries and an awfully dirty windshield). Upon returning the vehicle, I told the young lady my concerns and she was very apologetic for the inconvenience and rectified the situation as much as she could. I would rent from this location again despite receiving a dirty rental. Hopefully this will be the only mishap I experience here.(Just make sure the vehicles are clean. People dont spend their hard earned money for a product thats not up to par. Well, at least I dont)
