I will fully admit this is partially my fault. I vowed over a decade ago to never take a vehicle for repairs to this facility again but circumstances forced my hand. The first incident, took an Explorer in for air conditioner problems. Didn’t even get off the lot and knew it wasn’t fixed. Took it back and now something else is miraculously broken and another $600+ dollars on top of the over $600 I already paid. The same exact thing happened again. It took 5 days to even look at my truck and then replaced a suspect component. It acted the same after I picked it up and 5 days later I was broken down and towed again for the same exact reason. In less than 1 business day at another facility, I had a full diagnosis, pictures and estimate and now my truck runs perfectly. Over $900 in repairs which proved useless and similar amount for a rental car to end up in the same exact situation is not a good deal by any stretch of the imagination. Both scenarios scream several questions. Do you function test your repairs? Are you actually competent? If you have to suggest further evaluation like you did this time after the initial repair, this suggests you’re not sure of what you’re doing. I have called and left messages with both the service rep and service manager with no response, so here we are.
Brandon is the nicest advisor and never have any problem. My only issue lies with the availability of services on Saturday(basically oil change only). I work M-F.

Run is all I would say! I went to this dealership yesterday to inquire about my fleet of 18 cars being serviced at this location. While waiting for help I overheard one of the service advisors by the name of Jeri having a nasty exchange with a customer by phone. She was rude and nasty with the lady over the phone and said the customer kept calling. I guess the lady on the other end hung up the phone to end the nasty exchange. You would think that the advisor would just let it be but she actually called the customer back and was very foul with the lady. I could hear the lady saying please dont call me I dont want to speak to you through the phone. I must say Ive never been to a place of business where the employees call customers to insult them and are happy about it. I left so quick and will not use this location for my fleet. But Jones Ford treated me very kind. I hope management gets a handle on Jeri and calls that customer to apologize for being abused over the phone. I am a business owner and behavior like this is unacceptable. If she felt comfortable doing it with a smile Im sure this is not the first time it has been done. Thank you Jeri for allowing me to hear this interaction so that my employees or myself are not treated that way!
Bought a new escape, paid in full up front. Went in after 4000 miles for what I thought would be a comped oil change. You can forget that and anything else that a dealer usually gives a new car buyer! These people give you nothing, not even a car wash! Am sorry I bought from them. The staff noted are true professionals, and they make sure that the Ford brand is one you can trust. Steve is an outstanding Service Manger. Julie is my Service Advisor, and she accurately makes sure that my F-150 is serviced correctly. Matt is a mechanic that performs the maintenance on my vehicle, and I only ask that he performs the maintenance. Finally, Leigh makes sure that if I need a loaner vehicle, it is clean and the loaner paperwork is documented correctly. I definitely recommend Summerville Ford for all you vehicle service needs.

In 2016, I purchased a brand new Escape from Summerville Ford and loved the car, staff and service I got. Then about a month ago, I was in a bad car accident, and my Escape was declared totaled. So, I returned to Summerville Ford having to get a new car. Grant, my sales person, was knowledgeable, very kind, and he helped me purchase a new (used) Ford Escape while also putting me at ease through this difficult situation of having been in a car accident and having to buy a new car. Purchased a Beautiful 2020 Edge Hybrid Titanium. Financing was not what we wanted but we were in and out quickly. Elvis did fine but they were in such a hurry to finance they did not check husband credit which could have resulted in lower Payment. Very disappointed after all the years of loyalty, I was denied financing by you!
I just bought a 2020 F150 six weeks ago. I called the Dealership to make an appointment to check out a noise in the front end. The person I spoke to said that they dont have Technicians on Saturday, but would have a tech come in special just for me. They told me the tech would be here at 7:30am, and to be here then. When I take the truck to service, they tell me the tech doesnt come in till 8:00 or after. So he wasnt coming in just for me. I just wish people could be honest. Then the woman in service said there must be some confusion. I brought the truck when they said, so I dont understand why there is any confusion. Everything is great when youre buying the vehicle, but after that, its incompetence to the tenth degree.

My wife and my purchase experience was excellent! Dash Gamble was easy to work with and made it an enjoyable experience.However, after delivery of the vehicle, we discovered our new 2020 F150 had a large dent and numerous rusting scratches on the roof of the cab. We agreed that we would allow Summerville Ford fix it as long as, if we were not happy with the repairs, we could get another truck. We were given a loner vehicle to drive. That was over thirty days ago! We were promised the truck would be returned to us on more than half a dozen occasions. Yesterday, we were told we would have the truck back by the end of business today. Once again, no truck! I’ve also made my first payment for a truck I haven’t seen in a month. I have never heard from one person in management about my concerns.Update.......NOW, I have heard from S’ville Ford. My vehicle has been returned to me and looks great. Thanks to Elvis and Teresa, all my complaints and issues were resolved. Mgmt. had to get involved and boy did they!
My 82 year old mother and sister-in-law went to this dealership to look at a car for my mom because I could not due to Covid. She was in a car accident and totaled her car. I was so upset that I could not help her. But when she went to Summerville Ford and met with Grant Chapman, he treated her like she was family. She is far from young and needed an honest person to help her along with my sister-in-law. He was wonderful from keeping in touch with me every step of the way and letting me know that she was being taken care of with the utmost respect and care. Its nice to know good people are helping others and he did his job. Another person I would like to mention is Elvis, his last name escapes me but he called me and my mother and followed up with a slight problem with her windshield and took care of it immediately. Thank you both for making this process easy for her and us. We really appreciate it. Summerville Ford should be proud to have 2 men that really do care for their customers. Well I don’t want to say we saved the best for last but we did! I went to 4 other Ford dealerships in the area & they all had something that rubbed me a little wrong. This was going to be our last stop for the night having just left another dealership 30 minutes before. Our whole experience from our salesman to finance to the young man who stayed late to put together our new car & everyone in between was more than I could’ve asked for. They made us feel like family & gave us the best deal out there. We walked out of that dealership better off than what we walked in with. Everyone went above & beyond. We can’t thank Summerville Ford for everything. They don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. I had others talk the talk & then try & give me a sob story why they couldn’t give me this or that. I am seeking a conversation with the owner of Summerville Ford. I paid cash for a new vehicle that i now know has a Recall that is more dangerous than was described at time of purchase. It should never have been sold with a known Recall!! Over several months the Ford dealer in my home state has not been able to assure me OR Ford the Recall issue has been resolved.This new vehicle also currently has a tire leak that neither Ford nor a nationally renowned tire retailer can find and repair.I purposely shopped at Summerville Ford because I wanted to support Black Owned.I have been asking for months to speak with the owner.The dealerships Regionall Manager and others refuse to allow that conversation - even from a private connection.I sincerely hope the owner is not aware of the poor and unacceptable responses Ive received.I cannot safely drive this new vehicle.CONTACT ME Owner of Summerville Ford.
Ive been a customer since 2015 when I purchased my vehicle and the last few visits have been nothing less than horrible. I first took my vehicle for a normal oil change and a simple repair. I scheduled the appt online and even received a reminder about the appt. I took off to have the work done and when I got there I was told I would need to reschedule bc the tech called in. Well that was a 10:00 appt why not call me prior to the appt time. Figured Id give them another chance this time Im needing a headlight fix and brakes repair. My appt was at 10:00 and I got there at 9:15. I was later called letting me know that my car had a recall and If i wanted it to be repaired it would take a bit longer. I ask that I get a call prior to the repairs regarding the price and to let me know when the car would be ready since I wouldnt be waiting in the office. Julie agreed. 1:00 came no call regarding my car. I call the office and was told I would get a call back. 2:00 came no call back. I call again several times and no one answers. I call from a different number and someone answers on the first ring stating that they would have someone call me. (go figure) Well, I never got a call, instead I got back to back text messages around 4:00 stating that my vehicle has not been looked at since 9:15am and she would check to see whats going on. 4:30 according to Julie the car is finally going in the back. I ask her to cancel the brakes repair and just to fix the headlight. I was told that the car will be ready the next morning which I said ok that would be fine as long as its ready by 7:30 bc I go in to work at 8:00. 7:30 Im at the office and the CAR WAS NEVER LOOKED AT OR REPAIRED. WHY LIE!!!! The car was there from 9:15 until 7:30 the next morning and a simple light repair was not done though I was told it was in the back. I was not offered a shuttle, instead a customer had to tell me that was an option. ( I must say the shuttle driver was the best part of my experience.) POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and it was obvious no one cared. I ask about the shuttle and was told they could get me to work but Id be late. I finally get a TEXT around lunch time stating that my bill is $189 for my light repair and thats with 10 percent off for my trouble. I defin dont think 10 percent was enough for my troubles or their lack of professionalism. Please choose a different location for your car needs.Update: Tried calling the manager a total of 3 times and was told he was not in office and would get a return call. I was never offered a VM though I ask. Still waiting on a return call weeks later.
If i could give them 0 stars i would... this is the 2nd time i have been up there on behalf of my husband or my cars and either they have left with having extra issues that they caused, or left because of terrible service and them trying to rip us off. I went in for a flat tire, and i get a call that all of a sudden my car wont start after their inspection.... literally went in for a flat tire. Then the way one of the gentlemen in the service department budded in on our conversation and was just rude... not ok.

Buyer beware! Zero stars if possible. When I was shopping for a new vehicle I stated there were three requirements. 1. Fog Lights, 2. Full Size Spare and 3. The ability to mount a Thule luggage box to the roof.At time of purchase salesman said I could buy cross bars at their parts department. Later I researched the part number in preparation of purchase, and noticed the part stated “Vehicle Notes: Not For Use With Panoramic Glass - Using crossbars with a moonroof may void your vehicles warranty.” Spoke with two different managers, during two different visits with regards to this warning. Manager #1. At the end of the conversation said he’d use his official Ford channels to answer my questions of if the warning was due to mechanical issues (panoramic roof operations and clearance) or structural. Manager #1 did not do what he said he’d do, but referred me back to the salesman that sold me the vehicle, who then told me to purchase Yakama crossbars. Different day, spoke with Manager #2 who suggested I purchase a trailer hitch and a rack that would hang off the back of the vehicle. The “solution” I purchase a trailer hitch and hitch rack was asinine to say the least.Fed up with their run-around I telephoned a random dealership, this one in Wayne, Michigan and spoke with Nancy in their parts department. Right up front she asked for my VIN to make sure the part would work for my vehicle. Not understanding what she was seeing in the system, she asked if she could call me back as she wanted to speak with her parts supplier. When she called back she said I have a zero-load roof and I could not mount anything to it. Four months of run-around from Summerville Ford and it took Nancy not even 2 hours to research and respond to an inquiry from a person that was not even a customer of their dealership.
My wife and I went in to just check out the new 2021 Broncos, with no intention of walking out of there with a new vehicle. Then Grant walked up and introduced himself. He showed us some of the 4 base models he had and then he dropped a bomb, they had a demo bronco sport big bend model to show me. I immediately loved it and said they could part with it which he had me sold right away. During the process of discussing the likelihood of walking out of here with the vehicle, my wife had been looking at new vehicles through CarMax, specifically an older explorer. Grant asked how set she was on explorer from CarMax and we said we haven’t seen it in person yet since it was in the process of being shipped to our local location. He came back with a 2021 explorer to show my wife and let her take it for a spin. She fell in love. We took some time to think of our options and, somehow, grant Jedi mind tricked us and was able to make our payments work with what we were currently paying for our two vehicles. So we traded both of our older vehicles in for the 2021 Bronco Sport and the 2021 Explorer with no money down and no real difference in payments. Not sure how he did it but it was awesome and it was such a pleasant experience. No one likes hanging out at a dealership but this had to be the best experience I had to this day. We had our kids with us and it got too late so she took the kids home for dinner and I stayed behind. In order to fulfill our paperwork requirements, Grant volunteered to ride to our house and have my wife fill the paperwork out at our own house. How generous of someone to do just to accommodate us. Very good service and very efficient use of our time. Thanks for the great experience Summerville Ford.
Second time i take my expedition to this location for service .. first time very bad second time even worst..i made an appointment for a dvd system check up first ting in the morning hours go by and no even a call about the status or even the diagnosis.. called left a message and with in 5 min a call back saying that they even had the chance to look a my car. And ask if a was willing to leave the car for the next day . With no even the reassurance of the going to fix the problem .. last time im dealing with this service department 0 communication i guess when your vehicle is on warranty is not good business for them .
I initially made an appointment online for Saturday, hoping to have an issue with my windshield wipers fixed. I received a confirmation and reminder for this appointment, but when I went in I was told that they only do oil changes on Saturday. The man who helped me was apologetic and helped me make a new appointment for Tuesday and I watched him type in my reason for the appointment windshield wipers will not stay at the speed theyre at to. His help is the reason Im not giving this place a 1 star.I went in today for my appointment scheduled for 10am. Wayne was supposed to be helping me. He neglected to read the notes on the appointment and asks me what Im bringing the car in for. I tell him the windshield wipers wont stay at the speed I set them to.We step out to look at the car and he tries the windshield wipers and notices one of them has a slight wobble. Ignoring my earlier explanation, he decides that the bolts for the wipers probably need tightening. He tries it and, surprise, they dont.So I leave it and he says it will take a couple hours to do a diagnostic. I return 6 hours later at 4pm because my ride had to go to work and they hadnt even pulled my car into the shop and there are still 4 cars ahead of me. They wanted me to leave my car overnight in order to keep my place in the queue, for an appointment that was supposed to be at 10am! If they could have even had someone at least determine the problem and get a part ordered I would have happily scheduled the actual service for another day but when they do absolutely nothing and my only apology is well we try to get at least 75% of the cars done each day I dont have a lot of confidence rescheduling for another day.
Every time I go here Im very disappointed only reason I keep coming back is because its closer than Ravenel Ford but Im seriously considering making the drive. Would be too long of a review if I went into details but their service department is sadly lacking.

The service is aweful at this location. I took my expedition in to make it tow ready. I also had a check engine light that came on. As others have stated, they closed without calling back to communicate. Long story short I picked up my car to find it having obvious problems and sounds that I did not make when I took it in. Spoke with Steve who argued with me. Yes very unprofessional. They are not responsible for their actions. This was a diagnostic appointment that required leaving my car (first time and never again). When I picked the car up, one of the service reps tried to put me in contact with a sales man and charged me a discounted price of $214.00. Stay far away from this place. At least the service department.
Worst experience ever ! 0 starsWe arrived, and the very first thing we said was we were interested in getting information for new models. Suddenly the representative prompt information about this 2017 suv (exact same brand/ color than the one we had) and how it was a cool deal since it had significantly less mileage than our 2015. Immediately asked about the price for this 2017 suv but he replied it just got there and he’ll have to ask the supervisor and stuff.Before we could come with any other questions we where already testing this 2017 “marvelous deal” and as soon as we got back into the office I asked how much was it, still no answer instead of that the representative kept pushing and pushing to get our credit pulled. We kindly explained we were working in our credit and didn’t want to get inquiries or anything harming. Also explained we were not expecting to make a purchase that same day so we did not had any down payment. The representative at this point still haven’t provided the price for the “newer” car and also no word about the value of our trade.The representative then proceeded to explain us how getting a new car that day will automatically increase our credit scores helping towards our ultimate goal of getting a house. I have to mention we don’t have a lot of experience with credit scores procedures so we believed his word at that moment, it seem reasonable to think that paying off the new car would boost our credit score.Still we decided to say no and were about to leave when the manager comes and asks what do we need to make the deal work so we told them we didn’t had any downpayment and they said they could make it work. So here we go, they ran our credit and voila ! We were accepted for a trade off of our 2015 for the same car but 2017 model with less miles.Need to emphasize we never got the sales price of this 2017 model and obviously no word about the difference of getting a new car like we initially requested. Also, no records for the 2017 car we were about to get.Our old car had 13.20% APR with remaining payoff debt of 9475 and we just got the new trade loan for 15.8% APR and an increase of our monthly payment of a hundred dollars.As I already mentioned we obviously are no experts and got excited with the idea of a new car with no downpayment that will help our credit score to get our first house.We just asked one more time for the carfax records and as soon as we made sure there was nothing there we went ahead and signed.Fifteen minutes later we were about to sign the final papers and we noticed a large weird dent on one of the doors of the new car, that looked like if someone had just hit it with a baseball bat or a wrench. Immediately brought to the representative attention and he said that there was nothing he could do, that he did not see that and that it was no ones fault.I get that I was not buying a new car, but how come, a reputable dealership like Summerville Ford could have not seen the dent? Arent they supposed to inspect all the cars they buy? I was perplexed to know that during their inspections nobody noticed such a thing. At that moment I should have walked away, since, if they cannot realize something so obvious, what else could they have missed?Against my better insticts I was still lured back to finishing the deal trusting on the name of the dealership and their now renewed promise to fix the dent.The representative finally reached to the manager and he said they’ll handle it.They quickly added a note in the contract and that was it.We were sent off under the promise of getting the car repaired and sending a picture of ssn.They kept asking and asking about the ssn and no word about the dent repair. Three days after that we were told they’ll cancel the contract if they didn’t get ssn, we had to sent it trough sms as per their request even though we would prefer to go to the dealership since it’s sensitive information.

My appointment time was 730 and for the second time I was told that despite my appointment people that showed up without one are being serviced ahead of me. Ford clearly has a different definition of what an appointment is from the rest of the world. This after being assured that this would not happen again because it happened once before. If you continue to use this place probably dont bother to set an appointment. For Summerville Ford appointments are suggestions not something they honor despite having the option available to their customer.
My mother (who has never gone through the process of purchasing a car from a dealership) had my husband and I come with her to trade in her 2010 Edge for something more reliable. We worked with Mr. Grant Chapman who was incredibly kind and patient. He took is time making sure all of my mothers options were explained to her and she was knowledgable of the capabilities of the new Edge she had her eyes on. 2020 has been a tough one and unfortunately the beginning of 2021 wasnt much better. I was involved in an accident that totaled the vehicle, leaving me with little hope that Id be able to have transportation back and forth from work. The Ford Explorer sells itself and Im so indecisive on car buying, but with excellent help from Elvis, and Adrienne they showed me that I was getting a great deal. The paperwork process with Adrienne was easy. Ive had the car for a week, made a long roadtrip with it, and love the Explorer. Still no buyers remorse and so happy I went to Summerville Ford. I called for an appointment for car maintenance and to replace right windshield arm.The guy said I didnt need an appointment they can replace it while doing service maintenance. First come first serve. So I went there. Pulled up to the service waited 10 minutes for someone to approach me. Didnt happen. Went inside 6 stations 6 clerks just sitting. No Good Morning. I guess the looked on my face made one of them say. Can I help you..I told her what I needed and she said OK. Ill get the priced for the wiper arm. 40 min later a guy came and said Youre done and the wiper would probably be around 95.00 he would have to check. He put on my receipt that I DECLINED TO HAVE WIPER INSTALL. Not True. The wiper is why I came to the Dealer. He didnt go over my maintenance of my car or did the schedule maintenance that was required. I still have warranty on that car. The SERVICE WAS THE WORST.

Finance staff does not do whats promised! Service department has a lot of improvement that needs to be accomplished! Sales staff is excellent however I will no buy another vehicle from them with the last experience we have had! With both finance and service thats been done on my vehicles.

No oil change appointments. I had to wait 2 hours for oil change.Otherwise friendly staff and nice amnemities.**Updating from three stars to 1.I brought my work van in because it needed some work. One of the main issues was the windows kept blowing a fuse and and wouldnt roll up or down. 2 weeks later literally the first time I actually roll my windows down they stop working and I end up having to drive from Myrtle Beach back home in the rain. . .Not to mention the buttons as well as the mirror angler selector were not reinstalled properly and fall down into the door panel when pressed.Not impressed one bit.Not too mention They had my Van for to weeks because nobody could call me and say they were waiting on approval to do the work.

I had a appointment on Wednesday at 7:30am, didn’t get a estimate for my car until Friday late afternoon as the person who was helping me was getting ready to leave. I asked if I could pick up my car and I got no reply. I called on Saturday asking if I could pick up my car and I was told the service department closed at 2. I really wish someone would have told me that because I have NO transportation for myself or kids. Now I have to wait until MONDAY to get my car back. Very disappointed in the service here.
