My 16 year old son bought his first car recently with his own money from working. It had the check engine light on it, started smoking, and oil needed to be changed when he bought it. We took it in to Speedee to first change the oil and just to see if they could see what else was wrong with it. They were so kind, professional, and treated my son with such kindness when they found out he was paying for the repairs too! I mean, he’s 16. He’s not making full time job money. So they were upfront about costs and had it all fixed in a few days. They kept us contacted about parts ordered, how long it would take, and stayed open a few extra minutes when his card had to be taken to the ATM to pay for the repairs! The front desk woman, Nicole, was super kind and helpful. It was the very end of the day and she could’ve rushed us out of there but she was so patient. The manager approached my son himself and told him how proud he was of him for paying for it himself and as a mama, it made the experience even better. He has worked so hard for this and my son now has a great running car with no check engine lights on anymore;). Thank you so much for taking such good care of him and his car! We will use you for all the things from now on!

Great service! Very professional. I was worried at first because all of the service bays were full and each one had a line behind it. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the line moved and I was in and out in less than 30 min. Techs were in clean bright uniforms and they would clean the bay after each service. I will be back!

I am a verified customer. I went for an oil change and brake inspection. From the young lady that checked me in who was polite and professional the young man that did my great oil change to Adam who checked my brakes I was treated with much respect! I found out I may have needed a front end alignment which was suggested I do next door @ Midas. The young men there were thorough and explained everything! Prices were awesome. William is the manager and trust me there is not a better person!! This man made sure all my services were explained and even suggested how I could save and pay for another service! Ive been a patron of their business for a little over a year now - though the staff has had a few changes, every team was friendly, professional and made sure quality service was achieved. The team at the time of this writing is exceptional - they know their stuff and do very well to explain what needs to be done and why (can be validated with research).The only time service is slow is when there is high patron volume - that is to be expected, however, the quality of work is still great!A strong recommendation!

They charged me $83.99 for 5 quarts of Valvoline High Mileage (0W20) - The same 5 quarts is $33.99 at any of our local automotive stores here in Summerville (and in the case for autozone.. provided a next day free shipping option.) Our local automotive stores will also recycle your old oil for you when you do your own oil change.These guys couldn’t even rotate my tires for me… which by the way was going to be another $25!Men: Go to a local auto store. Ask them what you need for an oil change on your specific vehicle. Let them show you the materials you need. Purchase those materials. Do some research. Learn how to and then make the time to do it for yourself. Quit pouring your money into the pockets of other people.

You can never be sure what to expect with franchises - but this team clearly cares a lot.Their walls are lined with plaques from their various customer service awards from rounds of mystery shoppers, as well as franchise of the quarter awards too.There’s a refreshing and trusting amount of transparency from the team, whether it’s Stephanie at the front desk or a tech in the shop walking you through everything under your hood and making comments with integrity like, “this has some wear / this is a bit dirty, but you don’t need to replace it yet... you have another one or two services at least.”I highly recommend you give this place a shot because you can tell this location prides itself on quality service built on a foundation of honesty and integrity. I immediately serviced my wife’s car after my own, and we will certainly be back.

Stopped in for an oil change and waited for someone to come out, eventually an associate came out to greet me while 4 others who had been staring and ⁶not moving before, I asked if I could get an oil change and was told let me check, he did not return and the 4 other associates just stood there. Tired of waiting, I left and as I turned the corner,,there were 3 other non working individuals. NO customer service...I will never return.

It was pretty fast and I got a Groupon so not too pricey, but the workers weren’t working. They were all standing around laughing while one nice gentleman was working on all the cars and getting the customers in and out. Very frustrating.

This team is absolutely dynamite. They completely rebuilt my car that was in need desperately of care. Not only does my car run like a dream, but the customer service was top notch. They did an oil change, fixed my blinker and showed me what was wrong with my air conditioning and how to fix it. They also balanced and rotated my tires which has made everything run very smoothly. I was drive box truck 9.5 to I 95, I called 5 places no one helped me, when I call to SpeeDee, I was glad to hear nice young ladys voice, I explained her that I have BoxTruck 9.5 height, she confirmed they can help me.I did extra 72 miles, when I arrived there they meet me like old friend, they did everything professionally, before jobe is done they offered me clean airconditoned waiting room with snacks and drinks (nonalcoholic😀) really strongly recommended.Guys wish you to many good customers with great tips

I have been a Speedee customer for almost ten years, and have always been satisfied. However, I no longer trust Speedee to perform any service on my vehicle after a recent terrible experience there.I brought my car in for an oil change and tune up last Friday, and Speedee mechanic Jim told me that it needed two new tires. I moved forward with the service, with a time estimate that my car would be ready by 4 that afternoon. At 4, I called to make sure my car was ready only to hear more issues had been discovered but if fixed, it could be ready by Saturday morning. Saturday morning came and went, and more issues were discovered. The time estimate until completion kept changing, but everytime I spoke to Jim there was only one thing left to do and he was going to work all night to finish it. Finally, they just said well call when it is ready.Wednesday, I called to ask about my car only to hear its been done. I was never informed. I went to pick it up to find it in terrible condition. All items from my dashbox and center console were thrown about in the car, suggesting they had left it unlocked over night in their lot and it had been sorted through by some random person. The interior was covered in grease stains, which seem resistant to soap. And the floor boards were covered in grass clippings, suggesting they had not vacuumed it as part of their basic oil change service like they advertise.I spent nearly 2500$ on repairs with Speedee and was quite disappointed in the state of my car. When I drove it, the car made a very loud knocking sound on turns and bumps. I called and spoke to Jim, and he quoted me for more repairs. When I explained it did not make the noise when I brought it in, he continued to explain what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it, rather than apologizing, asking me to bring it back for free, or sticking by his work.I contacted the Speedee main office to speak to the store owner, and he never returned my call.Now, I must take my car to another mechanic and spend what is likely to be another couple grand to repair the issues Speedee created. I must also get my car professionally cleaned in an attempt to remove the grease stains they created.Attached are some pictures of these stains to demonstrate the poor care of my vehicle that they took. I will not be returning to Speedee again, and neither will anyone of my friends or family.UPDATE: Speedee called and asked for a chance to correct their service issues. They had another mechanic from a local garage they also own look over my car and render repairs. This was done at no cost to me. They also had the car professionally detailed and successfully removed the grease stains. They offered me a rental car at no cost while they repaired my car as well. When my car was returned, it seemed fine and looked great. The next day it began making a terrible squeaking sound consistently for the first several minutes after start up, and then intermittently after that for the duration of trips. My husband and I ended up taking the vehicle to another repair shop for a second examination.

Robert was an excellent technician and very honest while being down to earth. Sicily was also very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend and come back!

This is the best place to get your oil changed or any car maintenance in the state. I do a lot of traveling for work and get oil changes often. The only place I go is speedee in Summerville. Sicilly (sorry if spelled wrong) the office receptionist is always so nice and bubble every time I come in. She does her best to get every one in and out as fast as possible and pitches in to help the guys doing the car maintenance however she she can. It can take a lot of time to get your service with them depending on when you go but I can tell you that it is well worth the wait. They don’t ever try to sell me something I don’t need and have always gave to me straight on when I really needed to do something to keep my car running right. Thank you for always making me smile and having a laugh at your expense Sicilly, again I’m sorry if I spelled it wrong

I didnt know who to call for an oil change but when I asked google this was the first on the list. I dont normally choose the first one but I had a good feeling about this place. God told me to trust them so I went with them and I am not sorry I did. They were honest and didnt try to push any sales to make money on me. I was very pleased with the service and how they treated me. They are like family and I saw first hand how they treated people and how the customers treated them like family in return. I made up my mind that this would be the place to have my car serviced. I thank you SpeeDee Oil Change, each and every one of you.

The guy doing the intake was rather busy, but maintained his professionalism in order to serve the customers as quickly as possible. They had a situation that was out of their hands but did everything they could to keep the business going fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this location to anybody.

The diagnostic procedure showed a part had to be ordered. It was ordered, I was called when it arrived. My car was immediately driven to a bay to be worked on. The waiting room is clean. The chairs are comfortable. The staff is friendly.

I have lived in SC for the past six years, and in that time, have taken my car to multiple auto body shops to have repair work done. Ive been going solely to SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service for the past few years for oil changes, tire replacement, battery replacement, tire rotations, brake work - you name it - and will only go to them from now on for any and all future maintenance and repair work I need. The staff is friendly (Ive dealt with John on a few occassions; hes great)! the work is done quickly and efficiently, and they go above and beyond to get you the best bang for your buck - they truly do what is best for their clients. They even coordinate getting parts from other local retailers, with a quick turnaround, to ensure youre getting the most quality parts for the best price. Save yourself time and trouble, and only go to SpeeDee for any vehicle repair work you need! 10/10 would recommend!

I had been driving around over 50 miles going place to place after phone calls assured me if I came in they could change my oil, only to be told “sorry, no more time today” on arrival. SpeeDee in Summerville came thru and I was in and out in 90 minutes!! Thanks again guys!!!

Very Busy and very nice but I got a bad feeling when they demanded my keys saying someone earlier drove out of the service bay without paying. How does this happen? So I give them my keys and wait about and hour and half when other places next door had no wait and probably no issues. The manager came out to the lobby and sat down next to me asking me if I knew who changed my oil last time. He was looking me up and down taking everything in. I told him I did have a record of it and could find out. He said well they stripped your oil plug but we replaced it with an oversize one at no charge. Thats why it took so long. Dont worry no charge. Thanks I guess. The lady who is super nice said she had fun driving my car but could not find reverse. Its a stick. Why would it even be in reverse in the first place? I left it in the bay and as far as I could tell it was not moved. Weird. I think they rotated the tires says so on worksheet.

Moved to the area 9 months ago and had been looking for a good shop to get my oil change. The first place I went to took advantage of my lack of knowledge and charged me an arm and a leg for unnecessary services and items. SO happy I found SpeeDee in Summerville. My first time in I was treated kindly, explained everything in a simplistic manner, and was very happy with the price. They even vacuumed the front of my car, washed my windows, and filled my tires! Before my next oil change was due, I moved 25 minutes away from this SpeeDee. When it was time for an oil change — I drove that 25 minutes because I remembered the great service! When I pulled in, I was again greeted with kindness and they remembered that I have been here before; validating exactly why I drove the extra time to come here! Moved from NY to SC, no longer being able to have my dad change my oil for me, and I am so happy to have found a shop where I feel well taken care of! 100% would recommend SpeeDee Oil Change in Summerville!

Last time they forgot to put oil in my truck on an oil change. Got one mile down the road and my check oil level light came on. Checked the dip stick and no oil on it. When I came back they assured me they put oil in it. I asked for a video of them draining the “new” oil before they added oil to it. They refused and I watched them add 8 quarts to the engine. I said I’d never use them again but was in a bind and have been sitting here for 1:35 minutes. Only one car ahead of me when I pulled up.

They really go above and beyond in their customer service. I appreciate their courteousness and communication. I’ve been using this garage for years and recommend them to everyone.

Completely unprofessional and they are not honest and have no integrity. I came in with a working truck and left with a broken dip stick tube also rust deposits fell into the oil tank because she broke my tube when checking my oil level....I had my truck serviced here for the past year and it was never a problem or they just never checked my oil. they charged me for a oil change I had to go buy a new dipstick and dipstick tube then drop my oil pan to get the old one out and install the new one. Then a new gasket for the oil pan new oil which I just paid for from speedy. Had to take the manifold off to slide the new tube in and I had to tow my truck to a REAL MECHANIC someone who actually is honest and was also appalled that they broke my tube and didn’t offer to help me out with anything. All said and done I went for a $50 oil change they broke my truck then I had to pay $1300 to fix it and I was out of a truck for 3 days. We then spoke to the general manager Ron who is completely unprofessional and he said “there is no way a 19year old girl broke my my tube” 1. that sexist 2. she did clearly break it and got me from the lobby to show me she broke my tube. He said he won’t pay for anything. He didn’t even give me my oil change money back?!?!!! Now I have to take him to small claims court and I work 50hours a week.. it should be illegal for a company to break your truck and say you have to fix that...it is down right outrageous and I’m furious. I would have took half of what I paid hell even the oil change money back is something. Then I have to deal with the manager Ron who pretty much just dismissed the facts that my truck was not broken when I came in and when I left it was broken... the dip stick was apparently rusted to the dip stick tube.... so the whole dip stick came out and half of the tube with it. If I had my truck serviced here for the past 3-4 oil changes and every time they checked my dipstick or maybe they just didn’t check it before but every time they said everything was fine and looks good and would go over everything and not once was there a problem or rust on the dip stick or dip stick tube was never mentioned. So they broke it during my last oil change pulling it out and it’s my fault. Dealing with the manger Ron telling me that there is no way a woman could have broke that and they didn’t brake it the rust did.... the rust broke it.... I came in with a non-broken tube and left with a broken tube because she broke it and it’s the rusts fault not speedys. They have been checking my vehicle properly like they say with this huge points of inspection they should have seen it or mentioned it before in any of my visits before or during my last visit when she did infact brake my dipstick tube.

Quick, no appointment needed, communicates well from the first moment you are there. Very honest when it comes to the extra things you need that you werent originally there for.

As someone who has seen this business from a workers as well as a customers point of view, I cannot say I recommend you waste your time here for any reason. My mother worked at this location for a few months. She made it known before starting that she had a list of ongoing medical problems, what they were and what she needed in order to work. She is a diabetic and has many other physical problems, but she doesn’t let it hinder her from working harder than most people. That being said, she made it known that because of the severity of her condition, there may have been times where her sugar levels would drop and she would need to have food to eat to help her so she wouldn’t bottom out. Unfortunately after starting work and coworkers knowing these things, she would be written up multiple times for “eating outside of lunch hours while working.” After reiterating her need to do so because of medical conditions she would be met with distasteful snarky comments from the manager and assistant. One night after not eating all day because of a situation like this, she barely made it home just in time to bottom out with her sugar drastically low. She became severely incoherent and almost had to be shuttled to the ER by ambulance. Despite making this terrible experience known, she was STILL told by the manager Ron and his assistant Daviana, that she wasn’t allowed to have any kind of food or snack outside of her small break regardless of necessity. They took it as a joke and still constantly were on her even if she so much as ate a piece of candy. It’s also quite pathetic that even though she had paper evidence from her doctor stating her neuropathy she was still told that it didn’t matter and she needed to wear the shoes required even after being told in the beginning that they understood. Shoes required for what exactly? Her job at the desk as the RECEPTIONIST? She was asking to wear non-slip crocs not stiletto heels. I don’t think that’s unreasonable considering she can barely feel her feet most of the time. But thankfully after months of harassment from people over her she was moved by request to the Northwood’s location, as things clearly weren’t getting better at this one. Once moved everything seemed to be okay, until they cut her hours from full-time to 12 hours without the possibility of more. Yes. A middle-aged woman, with extensive health issues AND bread winner of her home to be given 12 HOURS MAX a week at less that 11 dollars an hour. They were trying to push her out and they succeeded. No on can live off of that income so she left and found something better. Even after leaving she still received harassing messages to her social media account from the assistant manager. Probably due to the fact that she explained to the regional manager that employees including the manager and others were selling illegal substance out of the back of this location during work hours. Either way, I wouldn’t recommend having your vehicle serviced here and I especially wouldn’t recommend SpeeDee to anyone for employment. I’ve used Speede Oil multiple times in the Summerville SC location on 825 N Main Street.I just want to talk about a great employee customer interaction. I don’t know his last name but his first is Mike. Incredibly polite, respectful and enthusiastic about what he does. He’s been extremely helpful and made my entire experience something that all customers should have. I tried to tip him but he respectfully declined. I hope this falls into the right lap, I feel like he deserves some type of recognition from corporate. Even if it’s just a hey, great job today.
