I would give 0 stars if I could. A man arrived at a different time than the appointment time to do some inspection. during the entire process, my family member was accompanying them trying to describe the issue in detail since we have got several people from other companies to come out and we are trying to find the appropriate solution. during this time, he was completely dismissive of everything my family member had to say, cutting them off mid sentence and blatantly ignoring them at times, and when asked about what the problem could be, all we got were vague answers, all fluff. this is YOUR JOB you SHOULD KNOW what is wrong. instead of inspecting the ducts, he just walked around the house and poked at some air returns before concluding it was MY fault that the house is humid because the fan is on. We have had multiple other air care professionals inspect the home and one even increased the fan speed, but apparently its MY fault. completely unprofessional. just walked in, did a quick look around, argued with my family, then asked for money and left. terrible service.

This is a top notch company. Came out on a Saturday, told me I needed a new unit and did a temporary fix. Scheduled the install for next available day. The temporary fix didnt last as long as I hoped but the came out and put my new unit in 5 days early. Everyone was very courteous. I highly recommend them.

The estimator took the time to understand what was needed and answer question. The quote was reasonable, and the service option was convenient to me. The installers were punctual, efficient, and non intrusive. They were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They were finished in short order and it worked. Then the quality check fine tuned the work of the installers. Systems have run properly since.

We got a new ac and our electric bill just keeps increasing. Everyone but carolina air says its the ac. They come out and check it and everything is fine. 500 dollar bills arent normal and this is coming from a person who lived in florida.

Larkin was our first point of contact with C.A.C. Very pleasant and service oriented. Knows the HVAC industry very well. Mike was the estimator and also did quality control after the installation. Of all the estimates we received, Mike, was the most knowledgeable and gave us a fair price. Daniel and Doug were the installers and did a fine job. Wendy in customer service registered our equipment with Lennox and also filled out the paperwork for Dominion Energy so we could  receive a rebate. Highly recommend this company and will use them again to replace the other 2 systems when needed.

Jake came out to give look over what we had and give an estimate on replacing it. He was very professional, courteous, and thorough in discussing the options of three 3 models for us to consider. He answered all my questions about the differences/efficiency of each of the models and also made sure I knew about the rebates that were offered. We went with Carolina Air Care to do the A/C/Split Heat Pump replacement and they were prompt and professional with their work. We had this work done in May 2020 and over these past several months have noticed a significant reduction in our electric bill from the previous year - upgrading to a new model was worth it and we would us them again.

After 4 visits and $390 in parts that did not fix our heating system, I was told by the office manager that the final diagnosis for repairing the system was to spend an additional $550 on a new control board, air handler and replacement thermostat. The owner would not speak directly to me about all of the issues we had, so I said I would not work with them. I hired another HVAC company to come out 2 days after the final conversation with Carolina Air Care, and he correctly diagnosed the issue as a 3 amp fuse in the control board that was extremely loose. All he had to do was crimp the connector where the fuse is inserted to make it really secure, and the system has been 100% operational since. I called Carolina Air Care while the other HVAC technician was at our home and said I wanted to discuss a refund for the parts I totally didnt need. I was told the office manager would call me back, and she has failed to do so. I am filing a a dispute in small claims court due to the fact that the owner is not willing to do the right thing and refund me my money. Im attaching a picture of the fuse that was loose and was fixed/tightened.

Carolina Air Care is Fantastic! We have now used them twice, and our most recent AC & Heat install was 6 months ago. I also liked that the employee who followed up a week later to look over everything asked if any marks on our walls were from the install process so they could fix it. Honest & ProfessionalAndy came out to service our 18 year old unit. Installed a new capacitor to keep it going for a short time. He the gave quotes on new unit and would credit the capacitor if we purchased new unit. His quotes were fair (I researched 8 other businesses). He was great at explaining all options. They installed new Raheem unit in less than a week and the install team were friendly and fast! Loving my new system.

None of the other competitors came close to matching the quote for an install that CAC did. Saved over a $1,000 for comparable equipment. They offer Rheem and Lennox, some of the best rated heat pumps in the industry. The tear out replacement of split system took between 3-4 hours.

After my home warranty service sent out a representative from one of their companies, then refusing to cover my HVAC unit, I decided to do some research myself and called Carolina Air Care. The initial inspection, placement of my new unit and the quality control visit all happened within 1-2 days of each other. I am very satisfied with the service I received from this company. My AC was not producing correctly. It got very hot in my house. I called one of the first companies I could have come out at that time. It was late and I settled (on a different company). The guy from the other company told us that we needed an entire new unit and that our compressor was bad and none of it was worth fixing. We even asked if we added a little bit of coolant if it would hold off for a little while until we could replace it. He told us it was not repairable. Then gave us a quote for a unit. I was worried about that. I called Carolina Air Care out for a second opinion. Im sure glad I did. They told me that the only thing wrong was it needed coolant and new coils. He showed us that the compressor was fine and running. He helped us cool it down that day and came back another day for the leaking coils. He was quick and professional and seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. He was confident in his work. They also provided a 1 year warranty. After all of it, I showed him my quote from the other company and he said he could do the same thing for $3,500 less than quoted. Very happy with Carolina Air Care.

Fast, friendly, and efficient. They came out same day within hours of my phone call when my heat did not work. Very reasonable cost for a service call.

It came time to replace a 16 year old unit. The company that installed that unit and had maintained it for the past 16 years gave me an estimate that was out of this world. I called Carolina Air Care for an estimate. Jake came out and evaluated my current system and provided four options (all very reasonable). I chose option four, which was the most expensive, but only slightly higher than the other options and it included a rebate. The system I wanted was in stock and the crew (Bradley, Tony & Marvin) showed up the next business day to install. They also installed all new duct-work which had been needed for some time (also for less than half of the estimate from my previous company). Very professional installation and cleanup. A few days after the install Andy came by to inspect the system and give it a fine tune to make sure it was operating at peak efficiency…like it was in his own home. You never want to replace big ticket items like this in your home, but rest assured…this company does it right. We are very pleased!

They were terrific. Their quote to replace our main Heating/AC unit was fair. They did the amazing installation in 3 hours and carted away the old unit. They thoroughly cleaned up and an even greater surprise was that they scheduled a separate technician to do a followup visit a week after the installation to review and check that the installation was done correctly and was working fine. We replaced 2 units with them in 2016. Our coils went out Sept 5th. We Did some research and found out that Lennox Units sold in 2015 & 2016 Had coils that were malfunctioning. On behalf of Ms.R SimmonsCompany improperly installed hard pipe duct system obstructing any further inspection under my home; and refuse to make a proper repair/access door. Carolina Air Care Heating and Air Condition Company displayed professional customer friendly service in July 2019, which prompted me to have them install my duct systems (2) in January 2020. All hard pipe duct systems were installed, as recommended, under my home to avoid pest damage and flex duct system was installed upstairs.. I was very pleased with the work and customer care once again. It wasnt until June 24, 2020 that I became aware of any problem. My pest control technician advised me he was unable to complete the routine inspection because the duct installed in January (by Carolina Air Care) was way too low to allow access and that a crawl space would be needed to access that area. I reached out to the Carolina Air Care Company to explain the issue and find a resolution to this terrible dilemma. On July 7, 2020, both an A/C and pest control technician crawled underneath my home together and agreed The duct is too low, and the area is not accessible to complete inspection. Carolina Air Care suggested piecing the section with flex duct, to which I opposed and reminded them of their recommendations of all HARD pipes to avoid potential pest damage. On July 20, 2020 I again contacted Carolina Air Care. This time their suggested solution was to reroute the hard pipe ducts. I was also informed that by doing so, It may or may not cause a change in airflow to that room and if it does the setting would have to be turned to the fan setting Being displeased with this recommendation, the following day July 21, 2020) I called to speak to the owner. I was told by the office manager, Larkin, that the owner was busy. The office manager Larkin then asked what was my concern. I proceeded to tell her the issues at hand and that I did not agree with their suggestion of running the fan continuously 24/7 because not only would it not be energy efficient, but it even goes against the recommended setting for the unit. Its recommended to be placed on automatic. She then asked, What do you want US to do? I stated that I wanted them to build an accessible crawlspace door so I could continue with routine pest control inspections as I was able to before.. She then said, We are not going to build your door. I realized I was not making any headway with her and was not allowed to speak with the actual owner. I am at my wits ends. 1. I complied with all initial recommendations. (including the installation of all hard pipes for the downstairs.). 2. Carolina Air Care Heating and Air Conditioning Company installed the ducts too low. 3. My concerns have fallen on deaf ears. This company has completely failed me in their feeble attempts to adequately bring a fair and just resolution to a problem they literally created. This is NOT my pill to swallow! As a senior citizen on a fixed income, I can not fathom going along with a solution that will automatically increase my monthly expenses (electric bill) or place me in a position where I cant even afford to use the heating and air unit Ive invested in. Even the thought of this idea is totally unfair to me considering the fact that Ive spent over$14,000 between July 2019 - January 2020 with this company. Yes, $14,000spent and they are refusing to fix their mistake or pay for the access door. The very least they could do to resolve this and attempt to keep a good paying customer is to right their wrong and create a crawl space access door for this area.

Today i had a new 2.5 ton 16 seer heat pump installed at my house. The guy who did the estimate was great. No usual sales pitch. Not pushy. Very professional. We had a company to come out and gave us a estimate on the cost of replacing our HVAC system. He act more like a use car salesman and his price was way out of what we wanted to pay. We contacted Carolina air care. The guy they sent out was informative and the price he quoted us on the same system that company had afforded was well within our budget. The installation was smooth and without any problems. I cant thank them enough.

Carolina Air Care offered excellent heating and air installation services. My new system is exactly eleven months old and continues to operate efficiently.

They have done their best to get me in on the same day I call, and living in the south, I think we can all agree thats a very big plus. They always explain things so I am able to understand the problem and the cost, so that I can prioritize what money needs to be spent and what needs to saved. I highly recommend.
