My daughter has been competing with SLG for 7 years. Her coaches have been incredibly caring, have brought out the best in her, and have challenged her to be the best gymnast she can be while building camaraderie on the team. They go way above and beyond and treat the girls with respect, individualizing coaching for each athlete’s needs; my daughter adores Coaches Wendy, Mei, Nan, and Berta. My daughter’s team has consistently taken the top three places in all competitions this year. We are super proud of the gymnasts and grateful for extraordinary coaches!

It’s one thing to not require the coaches to wear masks when they are in close contact with the kids. It’s another thing for the coaches to literally be blowing bubbles over the children. That’s just irresponsible.

I love how professional the management is here and that they provide such a fun, clean and safe learning environment. They have so many classes and programs as well as birthday parties and summer camps. You cant go wrong with Sugar Land Gymnastics!

We’ve been members of Sugar Land Gymnastics for almost 3 years! My boys did gymnastics here with the wonderful coach Nini, then did Karate with the amazing Ms. Annabelle! Mr. Billy is a great coach and super fun, but not for the little ninjas. He could use more experience managing the little ones. I found him to be too authoritarian, demanding attention instead of commanding it by getting the kids more engaged. I have seen him work with older kids and he’s awesome.

If you have a child who already knows with each and every fiber of her/his existence that s/he will do gymnastics for a long, long time, than you shouldn’t have too much problems here, if you don’t mind the unfriendly staff and smelly facility. The coaches are actually decent, and that’s why I gave it 1 star. But if your child behaves like a normal child and comes and tells you they don’t want to do gymnastics anymore, be prepared to eat the fee x 2 months and drag your child there even though they already don’t want to do it anymore and they had actually waited a while before telling you because they didn’t want you to be mad/sad. I’d consider this place daylight thieving, regardless of “that’s our policy”. Who has an extra $200 to spare AFTER you don’t want to pursue something? A pro-rated policy would make more sense. We haven’t started classes for July when my daughter told me she didn’t want to do this anymore. They were closed for the holidays, and now they are telling me I will be charged for July and August even if I cancel today. Don’t come here!!!!!! Read other reviews about how horrible this place has become. I wished I had read before signing up. UPDATE: This business had responded that I didn’t afford them the opportunity to discuss the matter. That’s not true! They were very short with me on the phone when I first called that no refund will be given. I showed up anyway later to express my disbelief and rationale in a very honest way, and the front desk staff was extremely dismissive of my presence and walked away to talk to someone on the phone and told me to sign a paper that shows they will charge me for one full month instead of two. Staff did not give me the option to return to speak to management. Only until I asked for it. Bottom line, they weren’t telling the truth.

Sugarland gymnastics has been a good experience thus far. My child enjoys it very much and the coaches are kind and interactive with the kids. They are corrective in form and are encouraging when the child does a good job.

Amazing environment! My daughter loves it, she’s currently with the Sugarland team and is always excited to keep improving and competing. The coaches and trainers always keep me updated and tell me how she’s progressing. Totally recommend this place for your kids.

Advice to parents is simply to make sure you understand the policies clearly. Understand the 30 day notice. Try to get communication in writing so that you understand exactly what you will be charged. Pay attention to kids emotional and psychological state.My daughter didn’t fit well here. She loves gymnastics. However, we were alarmed when she started to cry on the way to practice and on the way home. We spoke to the coaches after one incident that made my daughter feel uncomfortable. Nothing serious, simply the coach joking about my daughter being “chicken”. Apparently this was an inside joke within the team. My daughter didn’t comprehend and did not find it funny. We talked and worked it out. But, the crying did not stop. Given today’s environment we thought it would be best to change gyms.We had been part of the team since September of 2018. June 18th 2019 we turned in our 30 day notice. There was a miscommunication and I was under the impression that I would only be charged a prorated July amount after turning in my notice. However, to my surprise, I was charged in excess of double my regular monthly payment. After speaking with management I was charged my full July payment in addition to a partial team competition fee. It was communicated to me that I would be refunded the team competition fee that had been charged in error due to the timing of the 30 day notice. Keep in mind that the bank draft doesn’t take place until July 5. I turned in my 30 day notice June 18th? Thanks for the team fee refund that has to be MAILED after you drafted my account. Still, I have to pay the full July payment even though I would not be there for the month of July. Ok. No problem. Its policy.There is nothing you can do about it I suppose. But, I simply want to agree with Lucero Baize’s review saying “it’s all about money” and Van-Anh Do for the most part.Got the same response in regard to “policy” answers. I understand policy, but seems like it would be courteous to give customers a refund or pass when it’s completely understood that the participant will not return in some situations. Not doing so gives the feeling that this is a business before it’s a gymnastics training facility.Ive learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. Sad to leave our coach, Coach Nini was the best 👌my daughter wouldnt have the skills she has if it wasnt for her ❤ it was time to move on ! Management is poor! BERTA is very rude!!! Its her way or no way !!! We made it through a year of competition and that went well....although we recieved our backpacks extremely late our girls only got to use them for about 3 competitions and we had 7 ! As much money we pay that was very sad .Great coaches but not the best gym ...Not family friendly at all. Its all about MONEY!!!! Fogot yo mention we had 3 competitions taken from us and had to still pay more from the previous year smh ..MONEY HUNGRY for sure 👌bye bye

Pay for an hour class. They start at 5:05 and end early. For the price I’m paying I should get the full hour and not 40-45 min.

Totally poor management. Very unfriendly. One of the girls in the front is just plain and simple rude rude rude to no end. I can understand someone may have a bad day once in a while but every single time? I cant believe someone like that can be employed anywhere more than a week. I think for lack of competitive businesses nearby they get most of the potential clients in the area so they have little incentive to improve service and quality. Speaking of quality, that is also very subpar.. 👎👎👎👎👎

Im surprised this place has 4+ rating. Took my 2.5 yo daughter for a trial. Its was seriously painful to even sit there and watch how the 2 instructors with toddlers were so uninterested down right unpassionate and not interactive with kids what so ever. It was so bizarre I wanted to go in grab my daughter and walk out. Im going to be honest no one was rude there but I have never met instructors that lack common manners on how to get a kid involved. So it went something like this. They took my daughter behind the window had her sit and wait in que with the other kids then instructors started their training. Um how about take TWO mins and actually talk to the kid to get them comfortable and wanted and maybe go over about what u r actually doing or expectations. I have been working with kids for last 13 years and watching this was pathetic. Throughout the trial both instructors had NO expressions to get the kids hyped and happy or appreciate. Then one instructor brought my daughter out and walked away. Like hello she could possibly be your future student. Would u like to know her name or age or talk to her outside the room maybe a hug to warm her up. I mentioned this concern to the manager. She wasnt capable of accepting positive criticism even though I said it in a very polite way. Her response was something along the lines of. We have these kids coming in from the beginning and your daughter is new so they gotta start without wasting time. Ummm yes sure and my daughter will be paying the same amount as other kids and def needs acknowledgement from her instructors. Ridiculous!!! Just want your $$$
