I love Fitness Connection. I love that the womens section is completely secluded!!! The womens section has an amazing sauna room (the hottest Ive ever been in). I love the private theater in there!! I love all. Of their fitness classes 😍 I have recommended all my. Muslim female friends to join this gym (the mission bend location in particular) because of the hijabi friendly set up

Every summer the a/c seems to struggle. Not enough air movement in building. It’s very warm inside there.

Follow meI paid a down payment of $66 on 8/26Decided to cancel on 09/02 after being charged $10Spoke to unhelpful CSR who said I will be charged an additional $10(for a 30 day notice I was not informed of on the day of registration.)I called the store directly to which they let me know I would also be charged $49 annual fee to close the account.Totalling $135 Plus tax for Approximately 7 days.Facilities are nasty and not maintained properly this is a fitness hub for Sars Covid-19. Highly do not recommend try LA fitness or Lifetime.

Avoid Fitness Connection as they are a cheating and unethical organization. Never join as they always cheat you when you try to quit. I have never seen a more unethical organization in my life. I had to stop payments three times on their unauthorized charging my account.

This gym is just waaaay to packed. I had to go ahead and switch over to LA fitness. They also don’t have a pool. The Westheimer location look nothing like the sugar land location by far.

Needs to be updated like other fitness connection. Not enough squat racks. Hours are not convenient. They close way too early on weekends……

You can’t ask for better quality at $10/month. Every machine, rack, and free weight you need and a super friendly staff make every exercise enjoyable

I canceled my membership in person and when asked was told I would not be receiving any further charges, only to be charged for membership dues the following month. After waiting over an hour to speak with customer support over the phone, it had to be canceled again because it wasnt taken care of the first time. They also refused to refund the charge that happened from their own mistake.Edit-April: I have been charged membership fees again on the 1st of the month! It is now two months since I canceled. I have emailed your social media team like suggested. I hope I will have a resolution to this problem soon.

Wanted to check out the gym since I was in town for a little. I ended up getting a 5 day pass after signing up online.Walked in and mentioned to the front desk about my pass. They took my ID and had me sign in on a computer and answer questions. Then, I went into Petes office and learned a little bit more about Fitness Connection and this gym! After filling out the 5 day pass, we received a very detailed tour.What I like about Fitness Connection are the low rates. Compared to competition such as Planet Fitness, this gym chain includes classes such as zumba, cycling, and more. They have all the machines you can think of from cardio to weights. The ab machines are a killer.I know for a fact, if moving in the area I will consider this location as my home gym.

In all honesty i just really dislike the annual fee but 10 bucks a month you cant beat that either! I been at this gym for over 3 years now and never had an issue staff have always been welcoming! But then again i say hello and bye and do what i gotta do workout and im done. Always clean very well maintained. Even with pandemic they are doing everything they are suppose to do cant complaint.

This company is HORRIBLE. I have called in three times to cancel and they NEVER CANCELED the membership. The customer service representative stated there was a note that said I was angry about the cancellation policy, but never canceled...LIES!! THAT WAS MY SECOND TIME CALLING TO CANCEL!!! Please do yourself a favor and dont use this gym. Planet fitness is a much better choice and do not make you wait 30 days to cancel just to get another payment.

This location is quick to take your money when it comes to the trainer contracts but not be on top of things when your trainer leaves and you need a new one to get the service you paid for. Not to mention the manager never answers their phone nor calls you back. I understand due to covid it took awhile for trainers to get back just like everyone else but now that theyre open I was supposed to receive a call from my new assigned trainer or the manager yet neither one has given me that courtesy. Even my last trainer was having a hard time getting a hold of the manager. Now I have to find another location to train me since they dont want to. Once Im done with my sessions Im canceling my membership that Ive had for years and taking my business to another gym. I used to like coming here because it used to be cleaner, they had equipment that worked, and the staff used to be friendlier but now its just like any generic gym. Dont waste your money on their trainers, youre better off getting one outside a gym.

First and far most, I’ve been to plenty of gyms in the area and this gym used to be my absolute favorite gym, hands down! The atmosphere here WAS phenomenal! BUT, since it has been open since the virus, they require to you to wear your masks above your nose at ALL TIMES. I remember one of the staff was telling me to where the mask over my nose as I was drinking water but yet, their mask was completely under their nose? That made no sense to me. I wish I could have recorded the whole entire thing when it happened. They say they care about the health and safety but they never have soap in some of their sinks. I am utterly disappointed at how this gym has become...

Fitness connection has the worst member services staff Ive ever seen in a gym. They just want your money and they dont give you information properly so you end up paying more. I wanted to go there for two months and they told me that I can cancel my membership anytime before the 1st day of the next month to avoid extra charges. Firstly, you cant even cancel it online so you need to call them. I kept calling them and they never picked up or they were busy. So I had to ask someone to go there in person to get a hold of them. They canceled my membership but they told me that I will need to pay for the next month too because you have to cancel two weeks before the first month or some bs like that. I’m never going there again.

I went there to renew my membership so I decided to workout its to crowed hardly no one sanitize equipment I figured with all the money they make they should have everyone to pick up a bottle of sanitize cleaner like the other gym La Fitness and Planet Fitness I dont think I will be going there unless its real early but Ill have to wait and see I love the workout equipment just to crowed like over crowed wow ...

Good value if you’re broke, but you can get a membership at a much better facility at Lifetime fitness for only $80 a month. The main issue is the crowd, you can tell the people who come here are in general from a lower class, more ghetto, and make low salaries. I used to come here for 4-5 years, they have all the weights and quite a few machines for each body part. Has one basketball court and no swimming pool, steam room, etc. Small basic showers but I never used them. If you have a minimum wage job or make less than $12 an hour, then this may be a good option. But if you make more than $30 or especially $50+ an hour, no reason to get a membership here over lifetime

I signed up and they neglected to mention a $50 dollar processing fee. They just said the first month was $18 instead of $10 for that purpose. They then changed the rules of the gym where I didnt want to go back and I got that fine, and they wouldnt retract it. I tried reaching corporate and all I got were long hold times and no one on the phone even for the current gym I signed up at. They dont even list a corporate email or place for customer complaints on their website. Dont sign up at this gym. They make everything very difficult other than the sign up process which they arent honest about.

The gentleman responsible for cleaning the machines and windows is always working and very diligent. However, the mask patrol is very lacking and needs to be addressed. Masks are not chin straps. Half heartedly compliance is one of many reasons why Texas is still spiking in COVID19 cases. Lets keep the gym open. It takes ALL of U.S.

Low class trashy gym, not for people serious about weightlifting.Expect to wait at least 30 minutes - 1 hour to find an empty bench. Weights are all over the place, no one re-racks anything and its always full. You cant do any super sets, as soon as you leave your bench/station its gone.I canceled my membership and was told I would still have 30 days to use the gym as I had already paid for the full month. When I came in the next day they said we cant let you in because their system doesnt allow it.

Had a free trial pass and after waiting 20 minutes for them to check us in they let us know that free trial passes actually cost $20 so we could either pay $20 for the 5 day trial or day pass for $16. Said nothing about this in the trial online or email pass that was sent. Just trying to get you there and switch you.

Had taken a break due to Covid. I came back for the first time again and have to say protocols are in place for Covid prevention. I normally workout in the womens area and try to come early to avoid the crowds. However all the good machines in the womens area have the seats removed which its a downer. Not that many options to work with. Have to say I may not be coming back for a while until everything normalizes. Thanks

I never had a problem with the gym. I did notice that many of the people who worked out there did NOT clean any machines after sweating all over them. And when calling to cancel membership, the automated response kept changing my wait time. 20 minutes...18...15...16...13...16...19... So I hung up and called the front desk. Done.

Love the Classes!I really like coming to the classes here. There is something for everyone, no matter the level. Some of the popular classes have multiple offerings each week so if you cant Zumba today you may be able to another time. I am fortunate enough to have the time to do something every day in the mornings so I really make use of my membership.The instructors really make the classes special. They know students by name (if they are regular) and make a point to offer tips on form, compliments for good effort and form, and correction if necessary for safety and efficacy of exercise. The provided equipment (such as steps, free weights, bands, bars, plates, etc) is pretty good. Nothing broken or worn down. The equipment is clearly used but not to the point of being dangerous.For the rest of the facility, the fare is pretty standard gym equipment. Cardio upstairs, some machines sometimes not functional or at least rickety, but usually repaired within a week or so.The machines downstairs all usually work.Paper towels and cleaning agent provided near trash cans, but bring your own towel and remember which side to wipe the equipment with vs wiping your face lolThe newest addition to the gym is a water bottle filling station. Very swanky and useful!

Great price on gym membership at just $10 bucks. Gym could be cleaner. But I can deal with current conditions at the rate of $10 bucks. They have all equipment you need to reach your fitness goals.

I had the pleasure of talking to you Asia. Prior to talking to her I was having to deal with the Bissonnet location which was a nightmare! The manager was rude and made me feel like he didn’t care to help. Asia understood my frustration and helped me find a solution. Sugarland is by far the best location in Houston.

Great gym. Great community, all ages and levels. The manager here is great. He is very welcoming. There is a place for kids to play while the parents workout. Workout machines are very well organized. Easy for even starters to get going.

Dont join the Fitness Connection in Sugar Land if you care about your health! There is NO hand sanitizer here...NONE. No way to sanitize your hands in between using equipment. Talk about ground zero for spreading viruses. Do yourself a favor and go for a nice walk outside rather than put yourself at risk here.

Bait and switch sales approach with their free trial. They advertise it online (in 2021) but when you go in they say they no longer offer it due to COVID. Said I could enter if I signed up for a membership or I paid a daily fee of $17...no thanks

I love love love this gym. I get such a good workout all the time. And the staff is super friendly always greeting you with a smile when you walk in. I love the all women’s area and the theater is such a cool spot to work out in.

If you just want to work out, Idk how you beat the price. I have enjoyed taking advantage of their classes (free with membership) but have not been impressed at all with their childcare. Nice people, but they have one person watching an unlimited amount of children. Last week when I picked my kids up I started counting children, but stopped after 30. THIRTY. One dude watching thirty kids running around. I guess its what you pay for, but it seems like they should be able to regulate it more or hire a couple more people. I will be looking into other local gyms with better childcare.

I have been a member of this gym for about six years. In the beginning it was nice. Now the place has a bad smell that greets you at the door and some of the equipment needs to be replaced. Also I never see the clean up people wiping down the machines thoroughly from top to bottom like they should. It grosses me out. I still attend this gym because its cheap but I thoroughly wash my hands after a workout.

This gym is worth your money and has everything you need to get the job. It doesn’t have towel service but it does have other amenities such as a sauna, basketball gym, women’s workout area, and a treadmill room. The hours are great as well for a person with a busy schedule.

This place has opened the basketball courts but have not opened the racquetball courts. When you call and ask why they say “it’s a corporate decision”, it’s no corporate it’s like they don’t want to bother to remove bikes out the court. Another gym down the street has 5 racquetball courts open so it’s no excuse except they don’t care!’

Recently in the women workout area, they have changed all the lightbulbs to extremely bright and white, energy saving long lasting light bulbs. They are so bright, its blinding. It is so so bright, you cannot see the TV screen anymore. Its very very uncomfortable. For people that may have epilepsy, these bright lights make cause to aggravate the seizures . They are like driving at night with extreme bright lights shining on your eyes. . The women workout area used to be so comfortable and nice place for women only to work out. But not with these bright bright lights. And they are thinking about changing the whole facility with these bright lights. Terrible mistake, very poor judgment.

The facility is great but be careful when you are going to cancel your membership. You want to advise one entire month ahead because they are not going to help you with your last payment. They will charge you with another month and extra fees, and the manager cannot help you. Never come back here. Sorry, but in my opinion, its policy is not good for the customers.

I’ve been going there for 4 years, the coaches are amazing especially Kayla and Kristen.Babysitting service is good, not a lot of toys though to keep the kiddos busy.I’d also like them to have a sanitizing gel so we can sanitize before holding the babies.

LOVE the movie room!!! Dark, cold, and so fun to do cardio feeling like youre in a movie theater! The whole gym is clean and doesnt have that funky smell Ive found at other gyms. Their reps are very much used car salesy, but still nice. They lose a star for that. I had an issue and the GM, Chris was very nice and was able to handle without any trouble.

I’ve been a Fitness Connection member for several years. I enjoy the gym and I am always greeted by the friendly staff. The membership is a great investment.

Great place. Parking is challenging

This a comfortable place to workout with plenty of equipment and they also have very reasonable monthly rates.

The gym is dope,the staff is nice but the team that helps with signing up are just a bunch of liars or they pretty much dont know what they are doing. I took time to read the fine print of the contract but unfortunately the cancellation process is the worst i have seen so far. I got into an accident and i have not been able to use the facility. I am still being charged 20 dollars every month even after cancelling my membership. when i call the office they just give me runarounds. working with my bank to ensure thy are not getting any money from the account.

Well, Ive been coming to this gym for over a year now and have no complaints. I keep it simple go there workout and leave. They have all the equipment I need to get what I need done. The people at the front desk are always polite when I come in. Always keep the equipment and restrooms clean even when Im there, Ill see custodians cleaning. Its the best gym Ive been to especially for the price. Ive been paying 10 bucks and some change directly from bank account, which makes it easy, and no hidden fees.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. The gym always has this wet sock smell when we go and is freezing inside. The one thing that really sells this gym is their unique theater with cardio machines. The projector almost always has a problem or the staff does not pay attention to when a movie is on or off. I have to always go and personally ask for them to turn it on. Also many of their machines have errors or are dirty. There have been multiple spills around the gym. Their water fountain has also had problems in the past. Unfortunately, they only have ONE fountain for the entire gym. Once, it went out a few months ago for a month. It was such a huge inconvenience. Overall, work out and leave. I dont have anymore high exceptions from this place.

If you’re in looking to get in shape and get covid this is the place you want to be. Both staff, and members does not practice basic safety regulations to ensure ones health. Wearing a mask is a joke to them.

The restrooms could be cleaner in the women locker room. The staff as far as management could also work on being friendly. There is a woman African American believe she is a manager. Short dark skinned she is the most unfriendly person there. Make your members feel wanted and welcome

Fitness Connection is designed to get you a great work out experience with new equipment, basketball court, racquetball court, even a separate womens only gym. The facility is great, but the staff could use training in customer service. Not the inviting atmosphere that I am used to getting with 24 Hour Fitness, but for the price and cleanliness of the facility, I can compromise. Overall a very good gym for your work out needs.

This review is based on a visit I had to this location. A friend of mine had a guest pass and he invited me over to play racquetball. The place looks nice. I cant say much about details because all I did was play racquetball and leave. They have two racquetball courts. My friend didnt book it and it didnt occur to me to ask him as well. Anyway, we got there during opening time on a Sat and the court was available. I figure if its a peak time, wed probably have to book. The gym has a clean look to it and at least everything is bright, colorful, and well-lit.

Great place to workout. Multiple exercise machines. The employees are also nice. The only negative is that some of the machines where broken. But overall a good place to work out for a good price.

Ive been a member of this gym for years and still am but Ive been going to this location specifically. I went in there with my Hispanic friend and this new owner I noticed that just showed up out of now where, hes black with glasses and walks around with a big ego on his shoulders. When my friend wanted to set up her account who is completely capable of speaking English sat down in his office where she was instructed to sit he looked at her and said I dont speak Spanish go over and work with him and gave her a nasty attitude for simply looking hispanic. AVOID THE BLACK MANAGER HES A PRICK! 😡😡

Overall gym is decent; compared to other saunas the temperature is nowhere as near as hot as other ones. Temp needs increasing.

The Sugarland location class schedule was not on the website. Therefore, I called to find out what time the Zumba class was for the day. I was on hold 5 minutes and then received a response of we dont know because the website schedule is down and so I will have to get the schedule from my manager. Sorry but this is piss poor. Something as simple as a class schedule should be accessible and passed out to every employee. There is no excuse for them not to have access to a hard copy. So technically they dont know who should be there at what time and teaching whatever. Way to go in dropping the ball.

Their slogan should be you get what you pay for. There are definitely a lot of amenities available. However, the one of the worst parts of this gym are the other gym-goers, particularly the ones in the general free weight area.Barely any people wipe down their equipment after using it. Bars and plates are often left on the ground and/or not racked back by the people who were using them. Looking for the dumbbells you need in peak hours is incredibly frustrating. Even if someone isnt using the set you need, the last person to use it left it nowhere near the dumbbell rack. 2.5 lb plates are basically unicorns. Did I mention that people dont re-rack their plates?For the amount of customers, youd think that the gym would bring in more equipment. There were once signs that said there would be new plates coming in but the issues I mentioned previously are still commonplace.

THE VERY FIRST day I signed up I liked the environment. I didnt get the deal they promised and the next day I wouldve saved 60.00 bucks. Everyone just doing their own thing. Good BBall competition sometimes.

I had been a member of the far more expensive fitness facility in Sugar Land for over 5 years but preferred to stay with Fitness Connection. First, the environment is friendly and casual. Second, for the modest membership I pay, the well maintained, well equipped, and very roomy facility, I cant understand why anyone would have very negative evaluations. I believe Fitness Connection provides a good example on how to better serve the disappearing middle and working class people of this society and should be praised for its effort.

I’m a member at 24 hour fitness and came here with a coworker. This place is super clean and have all the gym necessities. Also, there’s a lot of space.The only thing I didn’t care for was that there were not a lot of platters available (no 35??) and there was only 1 water fountain on the first floor that is close to the front. So careful with your rest periods. All in all, good place.

It is perfect for getting a proper workout. They have an area to drop of your kids and a workout area upstairs. They also have a movie room to work out while watching a movie. There are plenty of machines so you dont need to worry about having to wait to get on a machine

Went to play basketball with my buddy today and was treated very poorly when trying to utilize fitness 5 day pass. The sales manager was not receptive at all and asked why I was even coming to the gym even though I had another gym membership at a different place. Furthermore, I was denied my request for a receipt and was spoken to very rudely.For being a sales manager, and for someone who is trying to get new customers to their gym he did an unbelievably unprofessional job. Dont join this gym.

Although it can get very crowded at times, I love the womens room. I use it every time. Also reading a book while using the exercise bike is a great thing to do. One thing I am HIGHLY disappointed in though is the discontinuation of yoga classes. They were great and its a fitness activity that doesnt put me out of breath or require too much strength. Only join during their $10/month specials though.

Clean facilities, knowledgeable staff, and a membership fee that is hard to beat. I tend to go at night and it is fairly well-lit and still active enough for people to feel safe. There are enough equipment and area to accommodate the masses.

I go everyday and enjoy my workout in the mornings. What I dont like is that my late fee is more than my membership fee. This is what I cant wrap my head around and cant get an answer for from your billing department

This gym has everything that you need to achieve your goal which is your fitness and health. A lot of people in these reviews are complaining about customer service issues only to justify their lack of commitment to work out. I just signed up and my experience was extremely satisfying, Ive been explained everything about the fees end facility by General Manager Frederick. Frederick was very professional and extremely friendly and I wish there was more people like him serving fitness industry. Bottom line: if you need inexpensive and very well built fitness gym sign up, put your headset on with your favorite music, focus on your fitness goal and workout like crazy and you will see the progress. Have fun!

No complaints for the gym. It’s the management that’s the problem. They will take money out your account more than once a month if you don’t watch it. I’ve been charged at least 5 times in a month more than once. And so have other people I know.

I have mixed feelings about this location. I didnt like the fact that all the cardio equipment is upstairs. I dont understand the premise behind the womens only area. Where is the mens only area. I like the fact that there is a number of different types of equipment to use. The staff was nice and the gym itself was clean. When it came to the restrooms, that was something different. The temperature seems like it was on 50°. It was super cold in the restroom and they were not clean. I was there on a early morning visit. It was cold outside and raining. I didnt understand that. I hope you enjoy your visit.

I love my gym! But, hope the management takes care about the gym a little bit more. 3 out of 6 stairs stepper machine upstair do not work😭! FIX THEM PLZZZ. Its been a long time. Plus, the movie theater area, I dont know whay it is, but smells so so bad. They need to do something inside.
