I want to give 5 stars because the actual work was done well. Unfortunately the work asked for was not what I was given and the service was not as expected.My wifes favourite hoodie has a broken zipper so I decided to surprise her by having the zipper repaired. Easy enough huh? Looking through google reviews, I ended up at this tailor even though I would have to drive past at least another 3 tailors to get there.The hoodie is red and the zipper is red. The person at the store told me that they would need to replace the zipper as opposed to repairing and asked if I would be okay to come back the following Monday (7 days later). Sure...no problem. The receipt given said to come by at 5pm.Earlier in the day (collection day), I was driving past the tailor and decided to see if the hoodie was ready. The Tailor greeted me and after looking for the hoodie told me that it was not ready and I should come by 5pm. No problem! As I was leaving the store he said after me well make sure its ready for 5 when you come back. Even betterI arrived that evening a couple of minutes to 5 and the lady politely asked if I mind waiting for a few more minutes as they were currently working on the zipper. Sure...no problem. I sit down and ten minutes later, the Tailor comes out with two zippers the broken red one and a black one. Basically tells me that they dont have a red replacement and would the black be suffice. Seesh, what can I say...I guess I could have said No and just taken the hoodie as is and go look somewhere else (then it would have been 1 star) but they had my hoodie in their possession for a week already and they had removed the zipper.So 2 stars removed for having the hoodie for a week and not once taking a look to see if they had a stock of appropriate zippers nor to order the appropriate one (I would have paid extra as this was my wifes hoodie and I wanted to make it right). A call to me would have been nice asking my thought instead of putting me on the spot in the store.Third star removed because after being told that they would make sure it was ready when I got there but I actually didnt leave the store for another 25 minutes. Petty? Maybe...However I had an appointment at 5:30 which I was made late for and I really thought fixing a zipper would be simpler than it turned out to be

God bless GM Custom Clothier. I picked up my wedding dress today (two days before the wedding, Say Yes to the Dress knowledge be damned) and it didn’t fit!!! Before I could even process my level of freak-out, my bridal shop was on the phone with GM and I was on my way over. In FOUR HOURS they let out my dress, added a bustle, and sewed on my pre-bought straps. You’d never know it had any alterations done. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. Thank you doesn’t cover it, but I’ll say it anyway. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!

Had my wedding in 2 weeks and they were able to accommodate me by adding a bustle to my dress within a week.

I was pretty happy with the results, only issue I had was that I asked to have the dress tie backs (the ribbon on the back of the dress to alter the waist) to be removed and it wasnt done. I brought this up when I came to pick up the dress and it was fixed immediately. But if I were to send my boyfriend (which I originally wanted to do) it wouldnt have been correct. It should have been correct the first time. Other then that, the dress was exactly like I imagined there dress to be. I also asked them to save the extra fabric cut off so I could make something else with it :)

Horrible!!! The wedding gown was hemmed too long, tried it on at home and couldnt walk without tripping over. Now a few weeks to the wedding day! Will have to take it to another tailor to get the front hemmed again, At least another several hundred dollars, but I wont go back to this shop!!! The worst experience ever!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GM Custom Clothier!!!! I visited this location to have my wedding dress altered. Being that it was the dress for one of the most important days of my life, I was a little nervous, but they exceeded my expectations and then some. The owner and the employees take their jobs VERY SERIOUS. I went back for 3 different fittings because they wanted to ensure that it was the perfect fit. From the first day I walked in and from our first interaction, I immediately knew that I had made the right decision. The owner, Mr. Genaro, was very hands on and is very knowledgeable about the business. He and all of his associates are very friendly and professional. My issue was my dress was a little too snug in some areas and too big in others, they were able to delicately and professionally handle and alter my dress to perfection. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business. I have found my new favorite tailor. 😀😀😀

I was in a bit of a pickle after I picked up my wedding dress from the boutique I bought it. I had lost over 20lbs in a matter of weeks and was left with a dress that no longer fit me just three months before my wedding. I read many many reviews and decided GM was worth the drive and I got in my car and drove to sugar land to put my wedding dress in their hands. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did. They completely re worked my dress and it fit like a glove when I got dressed to walk down the aisle. It was more beautiful than when I purchased it. The staff was always so sweet and kind and never made me stress out about the process. I will take anything there, as I was able to see the magic they can do with my most precious piece of clothing.

Had my wedding dress altered at GM Custom Clothier. Was a bit hesitant at first because of some negative reviews but I decided to go anyways because of how close it was to my house. Im so glad I went with them!! Man, was I blown away by the results!!! They offered an affordable price and worked with the complicated material of my dress. Before alterations, the satin underlining was so tight I could barely walk. They let out the material and altered two layers of lace to my height with heels on; they also added the bustle, fixed the length of the zipper (it was bunching up in the back), and made the arms of the mesh material fit to my arms (they were a bit loose before). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GM CUSTOM CLOTHIER!!! They were professional and just so awesome. Thanks to them, I felt comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day!

Let me just say AMAZING WORK! Mr. Genaro and the ladies that worked on getting my wedding dress fitted did such a great job!! I had ordered a size bigger and lost about 10 pounds before the dress arrived, so GM had to alter it about 2 sizes down and they made it fit so PERFECTLY!! They know exactly what they are going! I am so happy with their work and I highly recommend them!! & they also did some alterations to my daughters dress and did a great job with it as well!

This place is great. The staff is excellent! They do great work at reasonable prices. Finding a good tailor/dressmaker is invaluable. I now feel comfortable buying any garment, because I know that they can alter/customize it for the perfect fit.

Mr. Genaro and his team are nothing less than amazing!!! I have a wedding this weekend, brought him my dress a couple months ago and it needed allot of attention, it was too tall for my body, and too slim fitted for my shape (curves). He had me come in on 5 different occasions to do fittings and make sure everything hugged and fell perfectly. He and his team treated me like family and it was the BEST experience a bride could have. I recommend this tailor 100%! I bought a dress online and it was pretty but it did not fit the way I wanted it to. So I took it to GM clothier and they did a miracle on my dress. Tailoring is not my profession so I entrusted my dress to them. They made my dress a one of a kind. I was so happy with the end product and I owe them because they treated me like I was family and they wanted to do the best job they could. They have such great customer service. I am glad I found them and I will be a customer for life.

G M Custom Clothier is run by Genaro and he will work with you to get your clothes fitting the way you want (keep in mind there are limitations to fabric materials though). I have altered a few shirts and bought a bespoke custom made suit here. I always leave here feeling good about how my clothes fit.I wanted a solid professional suit that I could wear to my wedding reception while also being able to wear it down the road for interviews and business meetings. As a young professional, I wanted something that was modern and slim fitting, yet would maintain the classic look for suits. Genaro really listened and look an interest in integrating my ideas and welcomed printed pictures towards tailoring my suit to just the way I wanted. Genaro took his time, after multiple fitting sessions, made me a spectacular 3 piece black suit for the ages! I definitely felt and looked good for my wedding.Perfect customization on where I wanted the suit length cut, how low I wanted the opening to begin, location of pockets, the lining color of the interior, monogramming, among other things made me feel like this suit was made just for me. Above all else, the way the suit fit and looked on me made me know that this was a worthwhile investment for the future. Genaro is not cheap yet not super expensive like some other places. But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and you know you are getting quality work with Genaro. He is willing to work with you on time deadlines and will work with you to get your clothes fitting the way you want (as much as possible). I will be coming here next time I need a suit and fully recommend Genaro for your clothing needs.

A+++++! I walked into the tailors shop and was immediately impressed by all the high-end and custom clothing hanging in the shop. I brought in two very modest concert t-shirts that were several sizes to big for me. The owner dealt with me himself and he was delightful. He treated my t-shirts as if they were Chanel suits. He adjusted and pinned every seam from shoulder to hem until I was satisfied. I approved the sizing and shape of the t-shirts the way they were pinned. He charged me a reasonable price and said they would be ready in a few days. They were ready exactly on time as promised. Now, I am super-picky, and it turned out that I approved one shirt to be slightly larger than the other, through absolutely no fault of the owner - totally my mistake. In the end, I liked the smaller one. He re-did every seam of the larger shirt, essentially doing the whole job over again, FOR FREE. He said his policy is that once they take a garment they will continue to work on it until the customer is %100 satisfied at no extra charge. In addition, the shop was clean, orderly and pleasant and the other people working there were friendly and courteous. It was a very good experience.

I needed an emergency alteration to my wedding dress the day before, and it was NOT an easy task. The tailor was AMAZING, accommodated me in only hours, and it fit BEAUTIFULLY. I cannot say enough great things about this place. They did beautiful work with my daughters homecoming dress as well. Highly recommend!

The actual work they do is pretty good but their customer service and scheduling are very poor. Prices are pretty high as well. I had my son’s suit tailored. They said it would be ready a week later. On pick up day I got a call that they got too busy to get it done so they asked for one more day. When I came for pick up (giving a little extra time), they still weren’t done. This altered my schedule for the day and It was upsetting that they were so unapologetic about it all. Again, decent work but they don’t seem to care about the customer.

GM Custom Tailors is very good. My things are always ready on time. He does not resent it if something needs tweaking. Only one time did it need tweaking and he did it while I was there to perfection in minutes. Genero is the best.

I was blown away by what they were able to do in such a timely manner.I bought a dress for a wedding and I bought the biggest size they had and it was arguably a size and a half too small. They were able to make the necessary adjustments, and there were many, come the wedding day, I was able to fit in with the bridal party. I didnt even have to go hunt down and buy matching fabric so they could get the job done. Which other places I had been to tried to make me do (some places flat out told me no). They were very professional and I could not have asked for a better experience.

I arrived in Sugarland today for a wedding tomorrow with a dress in desperate need of alterations. I had a dress custom made in Atlanta and it was a total botch job. Mr. Genaro work for almost 6 hours straight to fix my disaster of a dress. Im so glad I found GM Customel Clothier. Im so happy with my dress and forever grateful for his kindness and hardwork.

Had a last minute wedding dress bought on Wednesday. I brought it here to be taken in a little at the bust and they accomatated me even though it was a lot of work last minute. The prices are a bit high ($650 for a hem and 2 inches off the bust) but the handiwork is great.

I had my Halloween costume altered. I asked them to add a front zipper to be able to pee. They did good job and seems reasonable $20. The only thing its a take away is that I was expecting a phone call from them to pick it up (I assumed that since they took my number) but in fact they didnt. They had it ready when I dropped by though.

This is a first-class tailoring shop. My wife and I have both used them for a range of alterations (shirts, pants, jeans, dresses), and Ive also had shirts and pants custom made here. The quality and craftsmanship are both wonderful. It is so nice to be able to shop here in Sugar Land instead of going to Houston for this type of service.

This establishment not only ruined my friend’s veil but they had audacity to charge extra to fix the mistakes that they had made. There was no professionalism nor customer service and I would not recommend this tailor to anybody. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Had previously done business several years ago with this place and had a descent experience but this time was by far the worst I have ever had . Had been with my previous tailor for years but due to personal health issues had to look for another tailor figured I would give them another opportunity . Early January of this year walked in and ordered 14 custom shirts from Genaro costing me over $2000 assuming I had ordered shirts from him already didnt expect to have to wait more than 2 months for my shirts . It has now been 8 months since I ordered my shirts and have stopped by more than 4 times for multiple reasons from my shirts not being done to either being too short or too wide. Didnt really see it being an issue to pass the order on to one of his employees but I was wrong . Everything went wrong from that point forward from the shirts not being ready to the shirts fitting me to small and too big from the abdominal area to him arguing with me about how MY CUSTOM SHIRTS fit me perfect . None of the 8 shirts that were ready at that time were the perfect fit and obviously you do not have to be a custom tailor to figure out that adjusting a smaller shirt to a bigger size will never be able to look good or feel comfortable...... I dont blame his employee for the lack of work but I do blame him for his professionalism and customer service skills. Customer service plays a big roll in the business I am in and when dealing with people that is your number 1 priority . I asked him to either provide me with new shirts (same material I had picked out) or refund me my money . I was told neither one were options and was basically stuck with the shirts I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR.. Its been over 2 months since I was there have yet not received a phone call notifying me the rest of my shirts are ready . POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I would never recommend this place to anyone even if the service was free... This place doesnt even deserve a 1 star rating !!!!!!!!!!!!

AMAZING! I had my prom tuxedo jacket made here. I brought in a picture of what I wanted, they took my measurements and told me exactly how much material I would need. My jacket looked amazing! It was made out of velvet which is a very hard fabric to work with and they did it perfectly. It fit me very well and actually looked liked it was custom made for me, not just another plain, boring, and generic rented tux. They even made me a matching bowtie out of the same fabric. Everyone at my prom was complementing me on it, even my principals! Im so glad I went to GM, I really dont think I could have gotten the same service at other places.

These guys are the real deal. I have been there many times, the job is perfect, let me just say they seemed to be the ones who really make these clothes in factories but decided to do it for themselves. I have altered suits, expensive ones, no problems, altered several pants not a problem too. They are the best in town when it comes to fixing your over sized clothings. I am a very peculiar when it comes to my wardrobe, but these guys have delivered over and over again. I will give them 10 stars if it was available. Great job GM clothiers.

I was looking for a new alterations place close to work and tried this place. I will start by telling you I am kind of picky about my alterations. I like my original hem on my jeans and that kind of thing. I brought a dress in on a Wednesday that I needed done by Friday. A lot of places I have tried this would be a problem but they said sure, we can get it done! They had it done on Friday by 5, it was done well, prices were very reasonable, and most of all everyone here was VERY friendly. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. I definitely recommend this place and will be bringing all my alterations to here from now on!

They messed up two of my shirts and forgot to sew back the small buttons on another shirt. They over charge for poor quality of work. And also take too long to get your clothes altered and when you rush them they do a poor job. They did a real good job very first time with my suit so figure a go back again but big mistake. Everything after that was bad quality of work. Will never do business with them due to low quality of workmanship

Had my wedding dress altered here. Extremely over priced for what was actually done to my dress. The ‘bustle’ if you can call it that, didn’t even hold and I was stepping on the dress all night long because of it. Extremely disappointed in the work and the price I was stuck with paying.

Very disappointed at their work and customer service. They not only messed up my veil but they were also unapologetic for the mistake they made. They wanted to charge me to fix the mistake that they made! The tailor said he needed a week to customize the veil, and when I went to pick it up, I was told that they needed 10-15mins to finish it up. And 30mins later, they still werent done. I was told that they do not rush anything. But clearly, they didnt even start working on it till I went in to pick it up! And the work was sloppy too!

I ordered my wedding dress online and when it came in I was so upset but after reading GM review I took my dress here amd in no time at all it was ready very happy with it now I would suggest this place to everyone needing alterations and or beading in bringing my dress back to get crystals put on this place in going to fix and create my dream dress they already fixed the length in the front it came down past my knees I was so upset now its perfect
