We had Larry and the crews do a complete reno of our pool: remove and replace the deck pavers and coping, remove and replace the waterline tiles, resurface the pool with a bluer color, remove and replace all pool fixtures, remove and replace all mechanicals including a new electric heat pump heater and salt water chlorine system, remove the in-pool light with an LED fixture, and coordinate the associated screen enclosure lift, footer repair, and reattachment. Despite the pool-business-wide material shortages and delays, they stayed the course and produced a top-quality product.Well done during tough times.

We had custom Pool & Spas update our very old swimming pool and also add an in-ground hot tub as well. The process was so seamless from start to finish. They arrived when they said they would and always cleaned up after themselves. The owner, Larry was on top of his entire crew, coming out daily to check on the progress. Weve had multiple home renovations done and none of them were as pleasant dealing with as Larry and his employees. The time and energy spent making sure our hot tub jets were just the right height for my very tall husband was greatly appreciated! Thanks Larry for all you did for us. Also a huge thanks to Brenda who was very patient with me during the process of choosing pool tiles and the correct pavers for our patio. You are a saint!We have been in our amazing, beautiful Spa every day since it was completed! Best money ever spent and I truly mean that. Our backyard is like a resort now...the only problem Ill have is getting my family to leave and take vacations :).

The discrimination of this place is impeccable. Firing an employee because their spouse had a criminal offense 20 years ago, and over exaggerating the offense on top of it all. Highly unprofessional. This left a bad taste in the mouth of many people.

After numerous attempts to find and repair a leak in a attached hot tub (small), they billed $500. We told them we were not going to pay until it was fixed, they sent us to collections! Very unprofessional!

We had our spa redone and really was impressed by the attentiveness and professionalism that this company treated us with. A couple of months later we had these folks redo the pool. The same results were had. Even when we ran into a small problem, this team came to bat and hit a home run. We would recommend this company to anybody that was thinking of having their pool updated. Summer 2020: Had pool, spa, and cool deck refinished. Pool guys were fair. When spillway sill was installed, we noticed the guy turned the spillway on immediately. Hmmm, that seemed illogical. Deck sub-contractor made a mess, including poking holes in new screens when rolling deck paint, During initial pressure washing, newly painted doors and patio ceiling were damaged from spraying old deck paint and not cleaning paint specks off. When done with initial job, pool system had issues for which we were charged dearly -- this valve, this other valve, and on and on; nickel and dime, then in the hundreds! The pool was not cleaned after the refinishing thereby damaging the pool filter -- another expense. Recently (within less than one year) the spa was leaking into the pool. The owners wife argued they would have to conduct a pressure test to check for leaks under slab and that would be over $300 and two to three weeks before anyone could come out. I could hardly get a word in to explain that part of the refinishing job was to address leaks which we knew we had and were addressed. That afternoon, I was startled when I saw a guy on my spa; he came out without calling, let himself in and put putty around the sill for the spillway. Within a week, the entire sill came off! There have been so many issues with this company and their workmanship, disgusting customer service, its difficult to list them all. The owners are extremely RUDE, arrogant, and deceitful! After being told that the owner had the work order and would be contacting me about the cracking and peeling of resurfacing material and paint on a deck seam, he never called. On one of my subsequent calls, I was told he would be out that very afternoon; crickets. I waited a few days, called again and was told he would call late the following week; crickets. On my 5th call, I was asked AGAIN what the issue was (dont they have a record of anything?), I demanded that the owner call me that day. He did and screaming told me he and his wife were out sick. When I mentioned that it would be nice if a customer were advised that he was out of the office, he literally cussed me out (he assumed I wanted to know he was sick instead of just out of the office). He hung up after yelling Ill get to you when I get to you! Crickets. One star is one too many, however, the field is required.UPDATE: This owner of this company is totally unscrupulous!(A) NO upgrades were ever requested; NONE were ever even offered!(B) The so-called specs were never cleaned.(C) The sloppy texturizing and ensuing and continuing major flaking of the material has never been addressed.(D) The employee who came out to fix the spillway, did NOT call me and never left a message. I would not have wanted to wait, however a call to let me know he was on his way would have been polite. Instead he came into our community with a code, no announcement, and into my screened enclosure without my knowledge. The spillway sill completed fell into the pool a week afterwards and was properly repaired by ANOTHER COMPANY.(E) NO CREDIT was ever offered or given.(F) The reason we retained the pool service through March 2021 was to ensure that another company was not blamed for any of the sloppy work Custom Pool and Spa Mechanics did.(G) In good faith -- now in retrospect, too trusting -- I paid the balance of job BEFORE the pool deck mess was corrected. Shame on me; after that I was in the owners rearview mirror!!Lastly, when after two weeks of calling and being told the owner would call me on this date or that date, I insisted he call me on the day of my fifth call. When he called, he stated he and his wife were out sick. I asked why I wasnt simply told he was out for an unknown period of time, he stated that it was none of your G*d Damned business!

Our pool was in desperate need of a face lift. I did my due diligence calling various companies on the Treasure Coast. One of which actually came out, gave me a quote and never contacted me again. How grateful I am that company dropped the ball because that is when I found Larry and his wonderful team! Working with Custom Pools was an amazing experience. From the minute I engaged them with the project they were responsive, informative and professional. They truly listen to your needs. Highly efficient, clean and knowledgeable. Took our very old pool and spa and turned them into a bright, shiny new place to relax and enjoy. Whole process took only about 5 days and that included removing old bull nose deck and tile and complete re-plaster. Highly recommend these guys!

The owner Larry and his team do an excellent quality, professional job on time and on budget. I highly recommend them. Larry was there with his crew bright and early at the start of my pool renovation, oversaw the work as it progressed and made himself available to answer questions along the way. My sparkling new pool is absolutely beautiful. I am so glad that I went with this company and recommend it to everyone.

I was looking for a pool cleaning company and was told not to use this company as their service has gone downhill. We had our pool resurfaced by them at the beginning of the year and asked them to come and inspect the grout that is falling out and to also give us a quote for a heater. I had to call them several times to get this accomplished and when I did, boy, was I sorry. They told me the ground was moving and that is why the grout was falling out. For Christ sake, I have never had grout fall out of any pool I have EVER owned. The owner is not customer friendly and needs his overactive ego to be treated. Their work is shoddy, their customer service is HORRIBLE and I will tell everyone I speak to how lousy this company is. One star rating is too high. My new pool cleaning company inspected the grout and said that it wasnt done properly. They will repair it for free, we will buy our new pool heater from them and get our pool cleaned by them. Custom Pool owner basically told me he didnt need my business when I told him I would go elsewhere for my cleaning and pool heater if he didnt take care of his shoddy work. I will gladly take my business somewhere else. Good riddance Custom Pool and Spa!!!

Just completed a complete pool remodel, including new pool surface, new deck surface, new tile and coping and a new salt water system. A very professional job in every way. From the time Larry gave me the estimate until the project was completed (on schedule by the way) everything was completed in a superb fashion. All of the workers were professional and courteous. Wow! We just had Custom Pool and Spa Mechanics totally rebuild our outdoor space and the only word we can find to describe the results is…spectacular! Larry, Brenda, Rochelle and the entire team at CPSM was friendly, informative and just fun to work with. CPSM rebuilt our pool, eliminating ugly and outdated coping around the perimeter…coping that others were afraid to tackle. From there, they tore out and replaced all the outdated tile around the perimeter and on the steps. They built a new swim-out to replace the ugly and outdated ladder, replaced the lighting and finally re-plastered the entire pool. But they didn’t stop there. They installed beautiful travertine pavers in our lanai, in the pool area, on the outdoor patio and sidewalk to our garage. The quality of product that Larry helped us select and installed was something we hadn’t expected. We compare the detailed travertine coping work around the pool to a jeweler cutting fine diamonds and placing them in an exquisite setting. The work is truly incredible. Once the travertine was installed, his technicians moved to our mechanicals. They installed a new filter system, replumbing the existing mess of pipes so they were almost invisible. Then, they installed a new pool heater. The backlog on the unit we wanted was in the thousands. Larry’s team showed up this morning to install the unit and we didn’t even know that it had been delivered! And talk about the personal touch – Larry came to our house every day to ensure everything was to our liking.This was an extensive renovation to us, and we trusted Larry completely. His attention to detail did not disappoint. His suggestions proved to be gems and we would not have done a thing differently. Lastly, we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the pricing was. As you can tell, we couldn’t be happier with how our project turned out. We will always use Custom Pool and Spa Mechanics.

We knew if was time after 23 years to have our pool resurfaced along with new coping, tile, lights,& heater. From day one meeting with Larry and his teams we knew we had picked the right professional company.Larry has teams for each process and you can tell they know their stuff.Brenda was very helpful with assisting us with finishes and color choices, also any questions. I never post reviews. Gods honest truth. This may be the third in my life and I think one of the other reviews was also warning people about this pool company!You do not want this company servicing your pool! They charge top dollar and skip weeks if it’s raining when you’re scheduled for your service. Keep in mind they still charge a full month even if they come only once!!! During the summer months there have been full periods when they have not come at all. Plus, when they do come, all they do is add chemicals. They don’t clean filters and they seldomly vacuum.On top of all that, the owner and receptionist are rude and unprofessional if you contact them with any concerns.I have a local person doing it now and I’m saving $30 a month and my pool has never been cleaner.I am posting this just as a “heads up.” You won’t be happy using this company. Keep looking. There are way better businesses that will do a way better job at a fraction of the cost.....update.... it wasn’t my parents property. I don’t know where you are getting your info from. I call it as I see it. What I see is a really terrible company that I feel I should warn the public about. If they don’t choose to listen, that is on them. I’m just here to spread the word of my experiences. Patronizing me won’t keep people from seeing this as a resourceful review.

Custom Pool & Spa has been taking care of our pool for last 5 years. They are quick to respond to all our needs. We used them to completely update our pool, spa and deck. Larry gave us lots of great ideas and kept us posted on the progress. Worked with us when we had an issue and it was totally resolved. Love the outcome and knowing that I can count on them when things need addressed!

Im really surprised by the previous reviews. I have used Custom Pool & Spa Mechanics for over 6 years and have found the staff and crew very professional and polite. They have always fixed our pool problems the first time on the day and within the time they promised. More importantly they have been reasonable on fees and always left the job clean with no clutter left behind unlike some other companies. This is a great company that always gets the job done. Special thanks to Scotty for trouble shooting our pool motor without just taking the easy route out and replacing it. It is nice to have someone who knows what he is doing. I have read some of the other reviews and could not disagree more !! We have been using Custom Pool And Spa for 8 years and found them to be extremely competent and we are more then satisfied with there services. Any time we have had an issue they have resolved the problem in an efficient and cost saving manner. I feel so confident in this company that we recently contracted them to redo our entire pool (resurface) and install an absolutely beautiful Travertine marble deck and outdoor kitchen area. I have to say our yard has taken on an over the top look!! The owners took the time to point us in the right direction had extreme patience in showing us a multitude of products andin the end there knowledge and vision has created a tropical paradise that we will enjoy for years to come. I am so confident in there work that if any one wants to see it ask Larry and Lori to bring you by : )

Excellent pool company.

Ive been complaining to them for nearly two months that theres crap (bugs, grass cuttings, leaves) floating on the top of my pool and they havent solved this problem. Checked the skimmer and found that nothing is flowing through it, even though the pool person just serviced the pool. Last week they noted that there was sand in the pool. Id had construction work done so I understood their concern. Again, the pool person had just serviced the pool...and didnt take the time to clean the filter...even after their note from last week.WE ARE DONE!Peeved and looking for a new pool guy.

Horrible company to deal with. My former pool service was great but he sold his business to them, so I went with Custom Pool & Spa. My pool started to grow algae and I had to have several conversations with them plus they started to nickel and dime me to get it back to where it should be. If I hire a service, I actually dont want to worry about anything. These guys made me worry about everything related to my pool and did not step up to fix what they caused. On top of this they are pretty rude. Never again!

We were at the end of our rope, when we finally contacted you guys. Four months ago we bought a pool home, right away we noticed the water level in the pool dropping significantly. After working with three pool companies and spending alot of time and money, the problem continued. Scotty eventually came by our pool and knew exactly what the problem was. Within a few days Scotty and his crew re grouted our pool and continued to check up on the pool to make sure everything was working properly. The worst company to ever deal with !!! the secretary at this company is so RUDE, would not even send me a receipt just a confirmation number…. hundreds of dollars later… i feel robbed… will never recommend this company to anyone ever again!!! finally have found a loyal gentleman who keeps his price reasonable and is understanding and explains everything !!! Great ppl great service

These people are quick to judge without even asking or checking there facts. My son went there to apply for a job and was hired but by the next day they called to say that the person whom he was going to be taking over for because he has cancer did not want to give up his route. But there were other routes available and to give them till the following week to get back with him and to call if he doesnt here from them. Well they never answered the phone when he called. So I called and co.e to find out they claim that they had noticed he had blood shot eyes. OMG. And they claim they saw people in the vehicle drinking. That was an out right false accusations. My son doesnt drink and neither do I. My other son was in the car with us and he was drinking a Pepsi. So stay away from these people they dont have a clue. I just get the guy they were talking g about doesnt exist, much less gas cancer. The only cancer is in their way of treating people and missjudging. What is really sad is they didnt even have the decency to tell him the truth or even question him about it. So if you have blood shot eyes or drink Pepsi dont go there looking for a job. Who knows what they will tell you.
