Local customer service was great, but unfortunately like other car rentals they have deceptive business practices by confirming availability online (hertz.com) but when you pay for transit... with your family ...with luggage and the local representative say they dont have any its very disappointing.
Please understand Hertz is operating lean and these people are working their butts off with reduced staffing and are thankful to have a job!Ive been a regular renter since March due to COVID safe travel between homes in Georgia and Florida. Everyone at this location has always been helpful, attentive, and courteous. I rarely wait more than a few minutes and always receive great service! Thank you for always doing a great job! Check in process was fine and staff were polite. However, I was overbilled dramatically on my final bill. They acknowledged when I called but have yet to make the final corrections. This has happened to me twice at this location. They also did not have an option for me to return the vehicle to PBI when I made the request. I thought switching from AVIS was going to an improvement but in the end, its created a lot more work on my part.
That whole return process was horrible. And the customer service is horrible, how do you catch an attitude with someone just for asking for a hard copy receipt. I always get one when I rent a car so why was it such a task with this particular task.
The two employees working their butts off at Hertz are absolute gems. I have had horrible experiences renting cars, and I just couldn’t resist leaving these two a review! Special shout out to Ed who literally dropped everything he was doing to drive me 15 minutes away to my final destination.
They will put you on a “brief hold” for years! and return to tell you that they don’t have anything available... Don’t waste your time at this awful branch.
I experienced THE BEST service Ive been given since this Covid issue started! It seems everywhere I go people have picked up a mask but put down their manners as well as their compassion for their fellow man and woman. We had the worst experience after buyong a car and enjoying it for 3 days a girl ran a red light and caused us to total our car! Now, through rental car insurance we were able to rent a car thruout this ordeal,when we arrived my insurance company failed to let me know we would need a $50 hold on a credit card while renting. I would have had to call an uber to pick me up and take me to one bank to cash a check then take me to another bank to deposit that $50 needed. The super gentlemen at the Stuart Hertz offered to drive me and my mother to the 2 banks instead! After we returned to the office to complete the rental agreement for the car, they overheard me ordering an uber to come pick up my mom to take her home and once again insisted they drive her home instead since I couldnt take her either due to having to be at work soon. Hertz reps went above and beyond their duty and we are so very appreciative of them!!! Thank you from Melissa Esposito and her mother Charlie Ordwt

The cars are well kept and being a Hertz gold member they may you feel special and appreciated.This location is generally not too busy so you will always get prompt service. That is something I greatly appreciate as I dont have to wait in line wasting precious time
After the experience from all hell from an Enterprise location in North Carolina and Virginia, we ended up getting a car from Norfolk to Stuart from Hertz. The customer service at the location in Stuart was great. They helped us with some mistakes in the rental agreement from North Carolina and were able to work with us on overages. Cant thank Claude enough for his great service and understanding customer support!

I cant speak to their pricing or reservation process because that was all coordinated for me through a body shop, but the four employees at this location I dealt with yesterday were all extremely nice. Two different men provided transportation to get me from/to the body shop where my car was being repaired and they were both hilarious and really pleasant to talk with on the short drive.
Horrible customer service these people don’t know nothing about business very unprofessional. There are two females that work there so rude arguing with a customer about moving a car. If I could leave 0 star I definitely would !
Quick in and out. Walk you around the car to check for previous nicks, dings, etc. Car was full of gas and clean. Very nice. Efficient! Directions perfect!
Excellent service! I rented a car and got a nail stuck in the tire the next day. Billy and one of the other associates stayed late so I could bring the car in that night and they swapped me into another vehicle so I wouldnt be without a ride. They also helped me out by splitting the upcharge of the replacement vehicle. Very friendly staff and good selection of vehicles. Highly recommended!
I rented a car in Orlando, and returned it to Hertz in Stuart. I mistakenly left a credit card in the rental, and the Stuart employees kindly called me to let me know. I greatly appreciate the staffs integrity and honesty!

What a horrible company! They should do better on their customer service. After sending two emails and not hearing anything for 10 days I decided to call them, the customer service was horrible and I got an attitude from the Hertz Employee. I rented two cars because I missed my flight and had to fly in somewhere else. In total they charged me $250 dollars for two cars for 2 days, obviously I only drove one of the cars. Horrible customer service! Never renting with them again!

Wanted to use my points to rent car. Went to location and sat for 45 minutes only to find out I had to go online or call the 800 #. Went home, made reservation online and came in today to pick up car. Rented full size. In the Hertz world I am told a Nissan Altima is a full size car. All other companies Altima is a mid size. The car was $40 per day. When using points charged for $56 per day. The problem is not the location, but Herz corporate. Highly recommend National. Never have any problems with National Car Rental.
Got the vehicle we wanted at reasonable price. However vehicle was not ready at time promised.
Reasonably convenient location, but often incredibly long wait times. Add I write this, it is standing room only and I have already been waiting 45 minutes. Unfortunately I have encountered similarly unreasonable waits at this location several times over the years. Also, no Gold Member quick pickup. The agents themselves were courteous and patient, but just very understaffed.

Pathetic - rented a car that had less than 3/4 of a tank. They said to bring it back with 3/4 of a tank. They apparently did not note that it was at 3/4 of a tank in their system. I drove it 115 miles on the highway, and a Versa should burn 3.5 gallons of gas for that distance. They charged me $80. At $9 per gallon (which is a total rip off, but that is a different story), that should be about $40. I have now spent an hour on the phone with Hertz, getting the run-around. They sent me from number to number, finally back to the rental counter. The counter is now closed. I used to rent a lot from Hertz for business - but now I guess I will use a different company.
They wouldnt rent a car to me even though my card was a visa bank card. Pulled my credit and said no I have the money and am now stranded in there parking lot.
Horrible place, three people working there, but only one young African American woman working hard! The other two were in the back chatting away about their lives and putting people on hold. Ill never go there again, but kudos to the one hard worker!!

Upgraded me from a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes 300C for 13 dollars a day more. Clerk was friendly and well mannered and had a sense of humor..rare.

I was was very upset with this company. I had reserved a car for 4 days and it upset me that you could not split the payment on both of my credit card and they didnt even try to accommodate me at all. I had a deposit one card and my payment on my other credit card. So I cancel that rental agreement and went with enterprise which accommodated all my request. I will never rent from this company again. The staff was horrible that waited on me. She was a black femal that stated on her phone through this suppose to be rental, and she never asked if I wanted to see the manager or did she get a manger to keep the customer satisfy. I am very keen on customer service and if one as her boss she would have been fired on the spot. Her attitude was masty, she was chewing gum. It was awful. U dont have to worry about getting of my money or services from me ever again, and I will make sure I will tell other customers about hertz rental, and just say I start talking to customers already and I have them cancel the rentals and getting rentals from enterprise. I am very xisatisfy with your company.

The staff there was somewhat rude to me. I was told by one of their employees that I could come in one week prior to my leaving to go to Virginia for my son’s wedding but when I went there both men said that I wasn’t told that and that they couldn’t tell me until the day that I rented whether or not they would be able to rent me a car. Then they started telling me there’s a fee per day per person to drive, then a $200 deposit, then this fee and that fee. I feel like Hertz has gone too far to rent a car. Heck, by the time it is over, they would be charging me close to $500 to rent a economy car for 1 week. It’s ridiculous!! I’ve been using no other rental car company for over 18 years but now I think I will be switching. Even having AAA doesn’t get you any better service.

Went to rent a car and the tv screen above the counter said cars available so we asked to rent one and they said that theyre are no cars available. So we decided to call the company and their main systems said that they had plenty of cars available. We then took the phone back inside and had the operater talk to the counter person and the counter person decides he is just going to hang up the phone because he didnt like being proved wrong. HORRIBLE. We currently wouldnt have a car if we didnt go to the manager. Come to find out, they did have cars available and that single eemployee didnt want to go through the process or renting a car because he was exhausted i hope he got fired.
