I hope all of you know that one of the scariest moments in life as a homeowner is when a leak detection company tells you that you have a leak under your bedroom. The thoughts of your bedroom collapsing onto itself due to water leakage come to mind for the lay person, so after the diagnosis, my wife immediately got onto the phone to several plumbing companies to obtain quotes to have the issue repaired. One of the quotes requested was from Dylewski plumbing. Initially while I was out, my bride expressed how nice the person she spoke to was from this company and his committal to be at the house within an hour all seemed to be good indicators of his attentiveness to our problem. All while we had calls into several companies to determine what the cost would be to ultimately chip up our concrete bedroom floor and fix a pipe. Well “Bob” from Dylewski showed up and unfortunately another vendor showed up without a time agreed upon and called my wife’s phone from the gate at closely the same time. When my wife asked me about what to do, I said to let “Bob” know right away so there was no awkwardness. She did and as a result “Bob” immediately walked out of our house. My wife thought it was a joke so she laughed and in fact asked if he was kidding. He responded how rude it was for her to schedule other workers to obtain quotes. Multiple quotes is typically (or at least as long as I have owned properties) is how a homeowner should address issues, especially when relatively new to the area (1.5) years. I became involved when “Bob” offered to come back and said to him, “no you won’t, get in your car and go away.”I have read his reviews and see 150+ people give him high star reviews, but for me, if you are that great, why are you so threatened by another company giving a quote If there is some awkwardness, and you know your services and pricing are superior, drive around the block and say I’ll be back when they are done given the fact you live less than a mile from where you are quoting and your corporation are listed. You could have said, I will beat their price and do a far superior job. This is not what happened. Later, “Bob” called my wife to “apologize” (likely because he realized the negative review would be forthcoming). I just can’t believe someone would be so narrow minded to believe that a consumer would not want to obtain several quotes and find the ins and outs of every company prior to laying out over 1k for a repair. For me, I will never recommend this company or this guy and would tell everyone to continue to obtain multiple quotes.I am warning all that this guy who appears to be a one man show, Is threatened when a consumer does their due diligence to find out all of their options and obtain multiple quotes and is down-right rude when people do the right thing and inform him of a double booking.

We called Dylewski Plumbing for a main water line break leading to our house from the meter by the street. Bob came out the same day and gave us an estimate and came back a few hours later and finished the job - all in one day! The job entailed hand digging a 40 reroute line to the house through heavy roots from an oak tree, laying down new pipes and reconnecting to the house. He worked extremely hard in the August heat. He covered the trench back up and raked the grass so you can hardly tell where he dug. We are very happy with Bobs service. Great guy - hard working, dependable, honest and professional.
