As someone who does most of my own automotive work I am very particular and rarely satisfied with the service or results I receive when I have to hire a shop. The courteous and professional service I received from Mark and the team at Stuart Brake & Auto Repair far exceeded my expectations. Their communication was second to none and they diagnosed and repaired the A/C issue on my vehicle the same day, and the cost was very reasonable. I cant say enough about how pleasant the experience was. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Their service was excellent. They were friendly and knowledgeable and easy to trust. I think Ive finally found a good mechanic shop. I would have given 5 stars but they charged me $19.09 for job supplies on a bill of $259.09 which is way to high but I didnt see it until I got home. The clincher is that there no supplies used. They removed a small circuit board that was causing a draw on the battery. This is a common practice now at all mechanic shops,car dealersEtc. They defend it by saying this pays for rags, screws and other small supplies. At the end of the year these job supply charges add up to many thousands of dollars. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the customer when they dont use any supplies on the job yet charge you more than the sales tax which was $15.59. Everything else was excellent and I like locally owned businesses.

I was referred by a long-time customer when I moved here last week. My experience was good. I like the way they communicate between front office and technicians. There is high experience among the techs and precise explanation of issues. Today was a good service. I’ll follow up again next visit.

I had an amazing experience at Stuart Brake & Auto Repair. My daughter came back from college with her air conditioner not working. I went to a couple places to get it checked & estimates. Her car is a Honda & needs special equipment & Freon to repair, luckily they had the special system to repair it. From the moment I spoke with Gary until I picked up the car fixed they were so helpful. Gary even called a Honda dealership to see if the car was still under warranty. Unfortunately it was not and so I authorized them to fix it. They explained everything about what was wrong & what it needed. The price was good, better than anywhere else & I trust them completely that it was done correctly.I have found our new mechanic for all 4 of our cars! I highly recommend them & already have a friend going to see them!

We had a humming sound towards the back and they diagnosed the problem and replaced the rear bearing all the same morning. Everything works great and we have used Them many times now with different vehicles and they always get it done right and professionally. Highly recommended.

The entire experience was first rate. I asked two repair shops for estimate for significant 95000 mile services, one responded with come on in and see Joe, hell tell you what you need but Stuart Brake was very professional, sending a 4 page detailed cost estimate - that was impressive.The work was done on time and under the estimate since the brake rotors could be refinished instead of being replace, saving a couple hundred dollars.Gary at the service desk was always accommodating, answering questions and arranging for a rental car and made us feel we had been part of the customer family for years.Finally, the work was done right and the car is running very well.

I decided to give another shop a try, as I felt that my previous shop was overcharging for some of the repairs that were done. These guys did s great job- were quick, efficient, friendly, and very reasonable in what they charged.

My 2001 pickup blew a spark plug out of the head. Had the truck towed to Mark and the crew and in a half day they had the motor fixed and running new again. A quality motor repair using a special tool that implanted a special sleeve back in the head to accept the spark plug for repair. Much better repair than help-coils that some lower quality shops use to repair this type of problem. Down time was minimal and the price was right. Mark and the boys are my go to mechanic shop in Stuart. This is the fourth time I have had a quality repair on one of my vehicles at this shop. They are fantastic!

Mark and Gary and thier team are 1st class. Had tuneup and oil change without any issus. Took me in at the time they said they would and completed job in a hr.

I saw this shop in an online search. They ran a special on A/C check up and refrigerant charge. Made an appointment for 10 am next day. Car was taken in and serviced immediately and I was out the door in 30 mins. No hassle or BS. System was checked and refrigerant added to specs. A/C running smoothly and ice cold. System was low on refrigerant. No leak detected. Good knowledgeable workmanship. Friendly owner and management. I think I found my local mechanic shop.

They are amazing and friendly, they informed me why my check engine light was on for free and did an oil and tire rotation with full synthetic oil for an extremely reasonable price. A lot cheaper than tires plus and I don’t have to worry if I’m being ripped off

I was driving south on FL Turnpike and with a loud clunk my serpentine belt is shredded. I pull off on to I think it was john jack rd. Im stuck an hour south from home and a hour north from my destination. Luckily I called Gary who gave me the number to another Gary with a tow truck 2 hours later im back on the road for a vary fair price.

We brought my wife’s car in to Stuart Brake and Auto for two problems: the car vibrated at highway speeds and the window washers did not pump fluid. I received the car back asking what I wanted to do about the vibration. The tires were a brand the man calling did not like, he could price out new tires. He said maybe that was the issue. He said it could be alignment, what about balancing, I said. Here I take the car in and he wants me to solve the problem. Of course he charges me for investing the problem. He had no solution. So I told him to balance the tires, rotate them and align the wheels. When I go into a repair shop I expect the mechanic to aid me and make suggestions as to the best way to go.They did solve the washer issue with a new pump but found another problem with the float that they found was not working. They said sometimes it gets clogged and doesn’t work and it should correct in a few weeks. Bring it back if it does not work. They told me this after I arrived to pick it up, after all was completed. I then came back to the shop after several weeks and then they found the sensor electrical was bad. Of course they billed me again for the whole repair. These washer is difficult to get at and cause extra labor when a repair is needed. Luckily, my auto repair paid for both. It’s the idea that when you find a problem check it out. They did change the oil which seems fine but there process is to rotate tires again. Remember I just had this done and the tires did not need to be rotated again. They had looked into my folder in their computer but never checked. The alignment, balancing and rotating to correct the vibration worked, so I told them to rotate the tires back. They did.The worst was yet to come. I told them I was unhappy with their work. They should have checked the rotation of the tires and they should have checked further into the float issue when they found the problem. They disagreed with me. I then told them I was unhappy and would not be back. The man said ok. That was that. He did not care. By the way he told me I would be liable for the cost of the repair if the company did not pay. He already received approval from the company and had communicated with them. It was great they did helped me with the auto repair plan. Through all the discussions the people were friendly and I was nice also.

Repairs were done on time and correctly the final bill was either less or the same as they said it would cost. If the vehicle needed special oil that is what they would use. If there were aftermarket parts they felt were cheaper and as good as the manufacturer parts they will talk to you about using them. Their warranty is also very good and honored across the country at other garages that are part of the organization they are members of

I got a quote that my 4 year old Subaru needed a new AC compressor and condenser from a chain place. Shopped around and found this place online with all these great reviews. They took the car in and found the real problem and fixed it quickly. Turns out I did not need either of those parts which would have been very expensive. I called Stuart Brake and Auto Repair for an oil change and to get estimates to have my brakes done, and a/c fixed. They took me that day due to a cancellation. Turned out the brakes were good, although was told by another shop two months ago that they were going to require replacement in a couple months, and the a/c was just low on Freon. They did the oil, fixed the leak and topped off the Freon, and rotated the tires all for a reasonable fee. Great job and service!

Wow I love Stuart Brake. I’m a new customer. I searched for a trustworthy mechanic after getting screwed over by the mechanic my mom has always used since I was in high school. Stuart Brake treated me so kindly the first visit and every visit after. My husband even said to me “wow those guys are so nice”. I recommend Stuart Brake because I love how they do the initial analysis of your vehicle and email it to you. It even shows the “health” of the vehicle on a scale with a red, yellow or green score. I highly recommend the guys over at Stuart Brake and Auto Repair! They are very professional and always have my car ready when promised. They do excellent work on my car every time. The mechanics pay attention to detail and make sure my car is kept clean inside the entire time by putting a protective blanket in the car when driving it. It is a nice touch. They also have reasonable prices to go along with the quality work.

All the lights on on my panel on a Sienna Toyota. They ordered the part after diagnostics and it did not work. Then said it would cost too much to repair. Almost 400 later I walked out the same way I walked in. They returned the part so the charge was all labor. I have used before and very happy. I walked out disappointed!

I shopped around and contacted Stuart Brake to have front and rear struts installed on my 2003 Avalon. Mark was very pleasant and efficient emailed me an estimate that was very reasonable compared to other quotes previously received. I scheduled an appointment the following week and Mark advised me he was not in but Gary would be my service representative. On arrival Gary covered the seat and floor prior to the work and called me that afternoon to say all was completed. It’s now couple of months later I can say this car my wife purchased new hugs the road and curves as if it was just driven out of the showroom . Wow. I asked about a pre-purchase inspection on a car today. I called him because he is located favorably and has a 4.9 customer rating with 134 reviews. I asked him some questions because I do not buy cars often and I wanted to know what he provided and if I had options for the level of inspection. I explained this to him and his response was In the 45 years Ive been in this business, Ive never had anyone ask me these questions. I dont want to get involved with that or anything you are talking about. And because of that hes suspicious. I asked him why and said again I was just asking him some questions to find out my options. And he still said he didnt want to do it.Im not sure what he was so afraid of but it was very unprofessional and unkind.I ended up getting angry and telling him I was going to write a bad review and he hung up. My bad.I need another car because the one I have right now is almost undrivable. I dont have a lot of money and I try to do what I can to make sure a purchase like this is going to not be an expensive regret. I dont have anyone else to fall back on. But for some reason, he interpreted my diligence with suspicion and selfishness and cut me off as soon as I started asking questions. I think it was probably better that we didnt do business in the first place and perhaps I should be grateful I missed a potentially poor transaction given that my expectations are for openness and accountability.

In my whole life I have never had a better car repair experience than I did at Stuart Brake! They are so honest, knowledgeable, and great at explaining the services needed for the vehicle.
