Darla was amazing. She was courteous and efficient. She answered all of my questions, met me at all the properties for a tour. I would definitely recommend her if you’re moving to Statesboro. A pleasure for the entire year. If I ever move back she’ll be who I’m looking for.
Darla Elliott may not be required to be charming, she doesn’t know the definition of the term. She, lacks any sense of responsibility to her clients. She is about one thing, money. She lied and produced a ledger I’d never seen or heard of prior to her discharge for cause from Manack Properties. According to one of the principles, she was fired with cause and destroyed their property management business all together.Nothing seems to be beyond Darla with money involved. Her childish accounting system is free to anyone that can’t handle Quick Books or any accredited system. One of her two visits in 5 years, she showed up in the tightest, shortest “Hot Pants or Short Shorts” I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine a bank, real-estate firm, legal office, retail outlet or other professional concern allowing her to represent them. It maybe acceptable in a cocktail lounge, bar setting, or corner of Beal.I’m not judging Darla, simply evaluating her as I have many professionals for employment. Her history would screen her out of consideration with any firm I’ve ever managed.
Darla is an amazing property manager. She’s always kind and understanding and responds quickly to any issues that arise. I have rented from her on multiple occasions and she will always be my first recommendation for anyone that needs a home.
Dara is not professional and has a bad attitude. She will not return your calls. We rented an house for our son while he attended Georgia Southern. When we arrived for check in the apartment was not clean, the commode was nasty, the shower was full of dog hair and would not drain and the bathroom floor was dirty. Also, the ceiling fan in the den was covered with dust, kitchen drawer was missing and a hole in the walk. I could go on about the house. Search for another place to live and another realtor.
I have been living in the rental property that Darla and Terrie have been overseeing for just about 2 months now. I have had a very good experience working with both of them. It is on both the landlord and tenant to keep communication open and so far I am pleased. The home I am renting was renovated due to previous tenants leaving it in rough shape. Whoever was hired did a great job with the work but they did leave their trash that I had to throw away which is not a reflection on SKR, more a negative reflection on the company they hired. I do hope they push these companies to clean up their own leftovers. I was told the house was cleaned, which I can say seeing the before and after that it was slightly cleaned but I myself had to clean the mold from the showers, mirrors and toilets. I did have an issue with leaving my key inside my house but they were a huge help by providing me a spare, this was my fault and they went above an beyond for me.The only thing I wish was better is the fact I was told the house would be cleaned. I understand the contract company left their mess behind, that is not on you. If cleaning was going to be part of my responsibility all I ask is that you say something and be very transparent that only minimal cleaning would be provided.
Avoid Darla Elliott at all costs. A quick Google search of her name will yield nothing but poor reviews describing the same experience my wife and I have had with her. We rented a house in town through her for 2 years. After signing the original lease is when all good communication ceased. Any time we would call for a maintenance issue we would receive a snide attitude and then nothing would ever be done to resolve the issue with the property. We had a post holding up the porch awning rot away to the point it fell, and after almost 2 months someone finally came out to fix it. They left the original post sitting in front of the house, where it remained awaiting someone to come dispose of it for the remainder of our time at the property (almost a full year). Ive had multiple other issues that were reported to her office that were ignored until I got the city code inspector involved. Finally, upon moving out, we were supposed to receive the remainder of our deposit within 30 days. 5 weeks later, multiple follow up calls, and still nothing from Darla, I finally called and had to leave her a voicemail for her saying that if the issue wasnt resolved by the end of the day, I would be going to the magistrate court. Wouldnt you know, within an hour of leaving that message I get a call from Darla that she was on her way to hand deliver me my deposit. How long would this have gone on if I hadnt been willing to take it to court? Ive read reviews by others aating theyve been waiting over a year and still havent gotten their deposits back.To summarize:Darla Elliott will not honor any obligations she has to you as per the details of your lease unless you force her to via the city or court system.
Very pleased. Darla is great, easy to talk to and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend.
Pleasant, fun, professional, very helpful. I am moving across country and Darla had helped me tremendously find a home for my relocation.
