Got lots of recommendation on how great of a barber he is and decided to book an appointment with him. I put accidentally put one off digit phone number and didnt get a text confirmation so decided to call him to make sure my appointment was set. He somehow suspected I provided him with a fake number and asked if I planned on making the appointment which I said Of course! I wouldnt call you back if I didnt. To which, he snapped and said he didnt want the business and cut me off mid speech by hanging up. I retried setting the appointment after trying to call back multiple times, he called me back a little later explaining he isnt interested in taking my business cause apparently hes an adult and I addressed him with a Hey man!, at the beginning of the call. Didnt know that its disrespectful.Im sure he is a great barber as all the review suggest but maybe thats getting to his head. For someone, who works customer service its probably a good idea to not be so short tempered. Funny thing is he explained how he believes in having a good relationship with his customers but somehow cant handle being addressed casually.

Pete by far is the best at his trade! He is very personable and professional! I have been going to Pete for 3 years now and I have never been disappointed with my haircut! Pete always delivers on what the customer is looking for. He is a very genuine, down to earth person who wants to make sure that his customers get the best haircut possible!

Pete was the only person I let touch my hair last year. This year I live close to Owens so thats where Ive went the last couple times, and its like night and day. Pay the extra $10 for the quality Pete provides and give him a good tip, you wont be disappointed (nor will potential employers when they see how solid a barber youve got)

If you are going to have a beard then you need a good barber, and Mr Nebroski is as good as they get. Ive had a beard for a few years now, and it has been maintained by barbers from coast to coast. Some good and some not so much. Pete is among the best. I will definitely be back.

Reserved one of the open times online and was called shortly after. Was told that the business was booked up and to check other barbers in the area. Was cut off before I could ask about possible future openings. Likely very skilled due to other reviewers acclaims but rude to new customers.

Pete gave an incredible haircut. I was lucky enough to get a walk in haircut. He takes a lot of pride in his craft and wants to make sure hes giving his customers exactly what they want. On top of the amazing haircut Pete is an incredibly friendly and kind man. I would recommend Pete to anybody and look forward to scheduling my next haircut with him!

Pete was my go-to barber for my four years in State College. The only thing better than his haircuts was the customer service. Giving you exactly what you want (and sometimes going the extra mile by recommending what he thinks would look good on you), Pete epitomized customer-first care. By far the best barber Ive ever had.

READ THIS, BIZARE:I got kicked out of a barber shop for asking the barber to cut my hair a specific way today.I never write bad reviews but Pete is an exception. I was his first client of the day and he was clearly in a bad mood that morning. I was still in the process of picking a good length so I asked him if he could start a little longer on top. He immediately got really mad and snapped at me saying I need to pick a length otherwise he would have to cut my hair twice, which ok I understand. I hadnt really thought of that and it makes sense, but I was taken aback by the way he said it. I chose a length and waited a few while he got ready in extremely awkward silence.Pete saves your previous haircut length in his books or whatever and apparently last time I was there I got a 2 buzz on the sides. I remembered though that a 2 was too short so I asked him to instead do a 3 on the sides. He had already put the 2 on the buzzer and this sent him spinning. He kicked me out. Yes, what I just described caused him to kick me out. That is what led him to refuse service to me after having an appointment and after having been to him three or four times already! He literally threw my sweatshirt at me and told me to leave.I was obviously shocked and really taken aback, and then he started talking about how Im a bad tipper. When I heard this I just started laughing and this made him even madder. The base haircut is $22. I ALWAYS tip at least something because thats how I was raised but my tips have been between $1 and $3, which admittedly is not the best. But its 22 dollars! Clearly Pete wants a minimum of $25 which he definitely does not deserve. PETE you do not deserve $50/hr especially with your attitude and your inability to take input on a haircut. Read some of these other reviews and you will see he does not take input well, which I think is pretty darn important! If you want Pete to like you you need to be willing to pay at least $25/haircut and not ask any questions. PeTe KnOws BeSt about your hair, not you. This whole experience was extremely bizarre. I was never rude to him or anything like that, he just didnt like me because I didnt pay him enough and then I DARED to ask for that 3 buzz instead of the 2. To anyone reading this I highly recommend someplace else. The ONLY pro about Pete is the online booking system, which is nice, but it is defiantly not worth it. I recommend Fetterolfs Barber shop. They were very professional and the price is only $18, a price where $22 includes a decent tip.Pete is a very hot headed person who I guess completely judged me for not tipping enough and held onto that anger for my entire time going to him. I even remember our first haircut, he was very nice and made good conversation. But after that, (after my $3 tip for a total of a $25 haircut,) he was no longer good to talk to. I would try to make conversation and he would awkwardly respond. I clearly remember this and because of this even looked for a new barber after the next few times, only coming back because I could schedule online. I think he treats people who do not tip well poorly in hopes they dont return. Which to me is not right.I want to say again that I never ever give places bad reviews. This, however, is an exception. I got kicked out of a barber shop for asking the barber to cut my hair a specific way today. Truly bizarre. I do not recommend at all.

Reasonably priced for the area and very nice guy but Pete does not take input from you very well. The first time I went in, we chatted about length and overall cut. After deciding on a medium length it seemed as if he cut an extra half inch to and inch off everywhere but I did not think much of it. The second time around I get there slightly early and I see him finish up with his customer before. After this, I caught on that Pete really only cuts hair one way and thats his way. If you like a shortly longer military cut go for it but thats about all that I have seen him do well.
