I was a member of LA Fitness in NY back in 2019 I recently moved to Stamford . Jenniffer helped me with a very good deal, much cheaper than what I Used to pay! She speaks Spanish which helped my family understand the how the membership works which is awesome! The facility is really nice too! Love the Sauna and and all the equipment you need for weight training. I also got a complementary training session which was magnificent.Very much satisfied.

This is an amazing gym all the extra amenities they offer like the classes. Yoga and spinning are my favorite. Staff is really nice and friendly Jenniffer helped me with my membership she explained everything very detailed. So I won’t get surprised with hidden fees like other gyms do.

LA Fitness-stamford knows how to look after it’s members and the amenities, the sauna is well maintain, the bathrooms is tidy, the staff here knows how to look after one another, very professional atmosphere. I like how it’s optional to wear my mask here, they don’t have a strict policy with masks ☺️🙌🏼

This gym is awesome it satisfies the needs of a variety of people with its many amenities. There’s a pool, basketball court, cardio machines, weights etc. This gym is super clean there are always staff cleaning it. The staff along with the people who belong to the gym are also super friendly and amazing. Highly recommend!

Been going to Stamford location for past 13 years and I havent seen results till I met Nora and got in a training program... And I finally passed the CHIP test for the police academy. Great team 👍 and awesome results !!!

My last time at this LA fitness I called ahead of time to see if I can bring a guest, the gentleman at the counter said yes so I went with my friend and we signed her up. He told me she was able to come with me from now on as a VIP guest. ( we both thought it was too good to be true ) so we asked again and he said she was able to be my guest from now on.Due to sickness I have not been able to make it to the gym in quiet some time. I return back to the gym with my VIP guest and a different man behind the counter told us my VIP guest was only elibigle for two week. We explained that the person who signed us up did not relay that information and we were under the impression she would be able to workout with me. We had both come from out of city to use this gym together and the gentlemen couldn’t care less, even though it was the employees fault for not explaining further.He also made it VERY clear numerous times that I had not been to the gym since July (embarrassing thanks for that)Turns out the gentleman who helped us today (barely) was the manager. Worst customer service from a manager I’ve ever encountered. He would not make an exception today even though it was HIS employee who gave me the wrong information, and could care less that we drove to his establishment for a workout.i will be cancelled my multi gym membership and re signing with Norwalk LA fitness only.

LA fitness is a great gym. It’s an extremely clean environment, and the staff is amazing. Very helpful and kind.The smoothie bar is great, great flavors and always has water and energy drinks available.

3rd floor which is the main gym is awfully hot, the Ac unit isnt strong enough to handle the space. And the Locker room has no locks lol

I have been having an AWESOME experience at the LA Fitness in Stamford. Since the day I walked in Brixy has made me feel comfortable. She convinced me to join their personal training program and it’s the best decision I’ve made regarding my health. The combination of being greeted each time I walk in and being pushed to go the extra distance keeps me coming back. I highly recommend working with Brixy and joining this community.

The gym is a little dated but very clean and has a good variety of equipment. Once you join though, you will never get eye contact from the staff again so make sure you ask questions day one. I would still recommend.

La Fitness is a state of the arts facility, If I can give this gym 10 stars I TOTALLY would! Allan Ramirez (General Manager) And Brixy ( Personal Training Director) Gave me by far the best hospitality and services. I came into the gym overwhelmed by all the equipment they had on all 3 floors. They gave me a tour and made me feel right at home. I am now down 15lbs with the help of Brixy’s Meal & Fitness program she customized just for me.Thank you La Fitness Staff

I just recently moved back to the area and join LA Fitness, after doing a trial at all the local gyms. LA Fitness is by far the best gym around, they have plenty of equipment, great staff that makes you feel at home. They have 2 floors to work out in so very easy to social distance. The cleaning staff is always visible cleaning and making sure everything is sanitary. I would give this gym 6 stars if I could. This gym tries to cater to variety of people.On the first floor, there is a swimming pool. Second floor has cardio machines, basketball area, personal training area and space for group classes.On the third floor, 50% area is for free weight lifting and other 50% area is for machines. There are 4 bench, 2 squat racks, 2 incline bench, 2 leg press machine. The only complain I have is that, on peak days; I would have to wait a little for my turn on those machines or for dumbbells (because couple of dumbbells are missing).Staff is nice & if you join the gym then please re-rack the weight :)

I came in to have a fitness evaluation. After a mini workout we sat and the desk and she asked us is this something you see your self doing more often? Ofcourse everyone wants to be fit so i said yes. We signed a 6 month contract for a training. The following week we realized this was not something we can afford. When trying to cancel the contract. I was told THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OUT OF THIS. It would go against my credit and sent to collections. The total of my six month sign up was 1900. The only way out was a buy out. She forgot to mention all the details. 1.there’s no way out of this contract 2. She omitted details during the sign up.I feel like i was scammed by LA Fitness. If you knew you could never get out of of contract. Would you have signed up? I advise you to think twice before signing up for a gym. During this pandemic i thought i would get healthy in the process they have made this a nightmare. Never AGAIN!

Got all sorts of variety of equipments for all body workout.I like the group sessions that are conducted over the whole week including classes like yoga,zumba, cycling, kick boxing etc. They follow all the COVID protocols and have the required cleanliness.

Been back & forth to a few gyms & LA fitness of Stamford always has me coming back! Convenient location, up to date with Covid protocols, always see the staff sanitizing during my workout. Friendly faces & conversations every time I scan in. Allan is by far the most customer service oriented person around! This gym is sheer looks overall they are a scam. Due to bad experiences in the past with the charges to my account, I decided the last time to pay in cash all year in advance and that was no excuse for after the year and after my agreement, they began to deduct me from the bank account whose information they had by previous registrations. The young, flaky, and unprofessional staff dont know the rules of good customer service. They are also penny beggars, my son was offered 3 free guest passes after he registered and when he brought his sister they took $ 20.00 from him. Scam, Stinky and Undesirable Sellers.

Theyve really gone above any beyond since reopening from the pandemic with keeping everyone safe. Every other machine is locked down, staff constantly cleaning, lots of sanitation stations and people always walking the floor reminding to wear masks and not gather in groups. Theyre doing a great job.

Free weight room limited to 30 people. I understand state mandate but you dont know time frame you have when you get into gym if there is room for you to work out or wait till someone leaves area. The parking lot across street is hit or miss. Usually its a miss and barely enough room to open door. Didnt want to risk my sexy vehicle being damaged by someone opening their door so I didnt stay anyway. Hopefully they can figure out better system to put in place in free weight room area.

Great gym, great location, very clean and well maintained. I feel very comfortable working out here during COVID. Out of all the gyms in the area, LA Fitness is my favorite!

First day back to the club after not being able to work our for a few months. I love that this club has a lot of guidelines and information about safety and everyone is keeping distance and wearing a mask, starting with the staff. I’m glad to be back.

Was a member years ago and just recently gave it another shot. The club has improved so much in so many ways. No more carpet, all new cardio, and they are doing a great job with COVID precautions allowing me to feel very safe while working out. I already lost 6 of the 10 pounds I gained during quarantine.

They have varieties of machines, good space. The workers are very friendly and I have seen that staff have been careful with the COVID situation and disinfect the machines frequently

This gym has good equipment and seems okay. I went here for two years and I grew quite a bit of muscle behind these doors. Its quite pricey; especially if you add guests which makes your membership go from 30 a month to 60 a month. There are better gyms that are worth the longer drive. Sometimes the hallway behind the mens locker room, smells awful but they clean it at some point; I have zero clue as to what it was. Also, the mens bathroom smells like King Buffet downstairs, which is quite bizarre.

Good quality for the price, great customer service. Ask for Allan, he’ll help you find the best price for your situation.

COVID-CRISIS at this gym-- I complained directly to CEO Louis Welch! MANY members FAIL TO WEAR MASKS during workouts! And though the flaky teen STAFF wears masks, they are too lazy to police the gym and ENFORCE the posted mask requirements.. I have filed complaints with the Mayors Office, and Stamford Dept. of Health. SHUT THIS GYM DOWN before good members sicken because of bad members, and the $$$ before safety policy of those in charge. All they care about is MONEY.

Amazing club, very clean, great customer service . Everyone is wearing masks and staff is very helpful and friendly . Recommended for everyone to come and see it . Felt safe and most importantly had a great workout .coming back tomorrow !!

I was so hesitant to come in at first but I am glad I signed up! Already lost 7lbs and got 8 more to go! Looking forward to reaching my fitness goal very soon! Highly recommend it!

SCAM!!!!The staff/management here are AWFUL!!!! They are disorganized and unprofessional!!!!! I have been a member for a couple of years now and there all multiple times when they charged us more without any notice. When we call them about the charges they made, their excuse is “it was a computer error.” This has happened twice in the past and I recently got charged again!!I used to pay for my membership every month plus a guest. I know that that guests aren’t allowed to come in without the member but most of the employees know we come everyday!! They know who I am and very understanding.I remember one employee giving me a hard time. My guest usually taps in before I do because I am finding a place to park. In the middle of our workout, the employee comes up and says that my guest is not allowed to be here. He said that I have to be in the same room with my guest at all times. After that day, I never saw him again.Recently, I froze my account due to COVID-19. I called in to freeze and when I looked at my credit card statement, they charged me double the amount. They said it was the monthly fee plus an extra $30 because they just opened. I asked to speak to the person in charge and they said to call back because the manager went on his break. I called in an hour later and they said that the manager does not work here anymore. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????The worst part is that you can’t even cancel your membership. You can freeze your account but there is a monthly fee. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!First of all, the facility is filthy!Secondly, they aren’t taking precautions!Thirdly, they take FOREVER to give refunds but are so quick to STEAL OUR MONEY.Lastly, LA. fitness is a SCAM. I signed up because I though it was a great deal, but I was WRONG!!!!

My wife and I go here for you and their Silver Sneakers program. Francesca teaches two Silver Sneakers classes and one yoga class at this facility. She also gives classes the Norwalk facility. Everyone in the class adores her. She has a bright and loving spirit that creates an fantastic enthusiasm in the classes. The facility is well maintained with standard machines and weights as well as a lap pool and basketball court. Lots of parking

Good amenities, unfortunately the place can be very gross in some places. In particular the mens locker room is gross, as are the floors, the lockers, and the bathroom in general. If it was only a little dirty Id give 4 stars, but this combined with a sauna that only functions at about half the time I gave it 2.

Not following the required steps to ensure costumer safety regarding covid. Theyre not taking temperatures at the entrance. There are sings everywhere requiring the use of mask but people not following the rules and doing whatever they want. Staff not enforcing the policy. To many people it says max 30 but there were more. Not happy..

This gym has seriously improved over the years, with better management and newer equipment. And they got rid of the carpets. The Sauna works really nice, the pool is huge and never crowded, they have a great basketball facility and they have about every machine you’d need to get fit

The GYM is a dirty place in some areas, when you go to the pool from mens locker room is really disgusting, also the maintenance is not a deep clean, now 6/18 I received 2 charges for $41.83 and $33.67, I was in march to close my account and the representative made it, BUT???be careful with automatics charges, use a prepaid cards.Stamford CT

Apparently you are only required to wear a mask as you enter the building. As soon as you walk up the stairs, the masks come off and nobody does anything about it. It’s going to be a matter of time before the Stamford branch gets shut down due to non compliance of COVID 19 guidelines. If something doesn’t get done about this, many people may get sick.Management is terrible - Place is so unorganized. Weights are all over the place. The place is filthy and a breeding ground for germs.It’s pointless to even write about this because nothing will get done about it anyway. #worstgymever

Great gym, staff members are always friendly especially the manager. There’s always a cleaning lady so everything is clean overall. The pool is great and so are both floors to work out. Equipment that is out of order is getting fixed and taken care of very quickly. The location is great and so is everything about this gym. Very modern. The best thing about this gym is the Sauna which is always relaxing.

Average LA Fitness. They have an indoor pool which is very dark and very warm. Facilities seemed fine, nothing fancy.

Good equipment, good air conditioning. Sometimes the weight room gets little stuffy but overall good ventilation. The only issue, members dont rack the weights so you waste time trying to find what you need.

When I was checking out LA Fitness, I was a bit put off by the awful reviews on Yelp and Google. However, I spoke with Mateo a few times before signing up, and he told me the management has changed and theyre improving a lot of stuff.I was hesitant at first but I decided to try LA Fitness. So far, the experience has been excellent. No weird smells or dirtiness at all. The gym is HUGE, has a ton of equipment, is not overpacked with people, and it is generally well-kept. For the price, this is an extremely good choice. I think this new LA Fitness deserves a much higher rating.Finally, Mateo did an excellent job. LA Fitness has a reputation for pushy salespeople, which I expected a little bit, but Mateo was not overly pushy at all. He was very kind, answered all my questions and even called back several times for things I asked him to follow up on.If you are considering signing up for this gym, definitely ask for Mateo. (He even got me into one of the new-year discount pricing periods after it had already ended).Overall, highly recommended!

They are definitely not following most of the COVID guidelines to keep people safe. And the staff doesn’t seem to care.

They are so fast with charging you for nothing and so slow with refund. I quit Dec 15, was charged Jan 1 and still waiting for refund (its over 2 weeks now) for private coaching so its $250. I texted my coach, he promised me many times that he will look at that... I been there and they said there is no finance dep person at the moment.... they are dont care.

Great gym. Good variety equipment and classes. Clean too. Has a sauna and a pool that I love using. Staff behind desk always says hi to me when I walk in. My husband is sad there is no squat rack at the Stamford location, but I dont squat so it doesnt bother me!

There are some issues: extreme noise at group fitness room (yoga/zoomba... classes)It has multiple storiesThe pool is good for an LA fitness. One side faces a glass wallBuilding is a bit rusty.

I’m ashamed that I chose this center. The trust, hope you put in is burnt alive. Rest assured the service is bad, it’s a hopeless thing to expect a communication from a bunch of irresponsible office bearers. It’s a pity that they don’t work coordinated, creating room for the blame game. At the end the one who gets the beating is you, and you stay in the middle left alone helpless with hope going down every single moment.

Great experience. Jonathan was incredible from the start. Clearly someone who takes his job seriously and reflects what I would imagine LA Fitness wants to be seen as. Would recommend to anyone. Happy to be a member.

Got a guest pass to join my bf in a gym visit the other day - was welcomed by Marvin, who was really nice. Great gym, clean facilities, large array of equipments. The pool was nice and clean. They also have a sauna both in the men’s and women’s room. Good value overall.
