Clean place, most of the time when I got during 1 to 4 Is pretty empty. Basic machines. Nothing special but still big place with enough cardio machines

I just left, but the staff is actually pretty great! They do a helluva job keeping the place clean and honoring the hours and being on time for morning and late hours. This is especially great because this location isnt really in what Id call a great area lol.The reason for -1 star is... As mentioned, the area isnt really the best area and thus the parking situation isnt really the best. Additionally, if you are moderate to serious about being fit/shredded (i.e. understanding the importance of form/ROM/intensity in workouts/supersets/etc), then this place is DEFINITELY NOT for you lol. This honestly isnt the staff/location/etcs fault due to the fact that PF caters to a certain beginner/not serious level athlete/lifter honestly, but I still have to knock a star for that

The staff there are amazing 👏 very courteous. I walked in with an out of state black membership and forgot my mask, they kindly pointed that out and gave me a mask and even recommended certain masks for workout going the extra mile. Even when they close they are not irritated by other people working out late they are understanding and deal with it professionally. Thank you guys and gals for doing an awesome job and maintaining a place for us to work out!

I usually don’t write a review but this time I have to do it. I try to cancel my memberships by phone back in December 2020. someone tells me that I can’t. That I have to cancel on January 4th (which it doesn’t make sense)and there will be no charges. I go on that day, for my surprise they canceled my membership but I get charged twice for annual membership.? Really? The new manager doesn’t know and not help at all. I just want to get my refund. These people are a thief. I could give them below 0

This place is all lies and fake promises.I came in looking for No contacts, and the rep who helped me lie and put me on the most expensive plan. After I clearly told him it was just gonna be for a few weeks. I called multiple times to cancel but no one could do it. With the excuse of no manager they kept on charging me monthly. After I finally talked to a manager and explain they promised to cancel the subscription but after 3 months later I was still getting charged!Dont get fool by this people. Unprofessional and liers!I called corporate and never got an answer! DO NOT GET INVOLVED! STAY AWAY!

Never over crowded

This location consistently has issues of opening up on time, on weekdays and weekends! There have been 2 occasions, in the past week, where the gym was still closed even though they list their hours as open at 5am weekdays, 7am weekends. Today, Tuesday, I arrived at 6:15am and it was still not open. Please resolve this problem as consistency and reliability are cornerstones of customer service. Thanks!

Honestly if i could give this place a 0 i would. I called because i wanted to open my gym account again i come to find out my account is in “collections” see when you use the word collections you assume of a agency company. Now Nicole went ahead and gave a number to talk to in regards of trying to fix my account. I call ABC Financial to only find out that i wasted my time on the phone with them because Planet fitness is the one who has to help me get the “collections” number. I call back and explain that to Nicole she says i will get the number and call back. Now i received a call from Kat which im sorry she has POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE doesn’t apologize or even gives me some type consideration in regards that i was upset about all of this. She tells me that THEY ARE THE COLLECTION... now you know when im told my account went into collections you think about your credit score and how it could get affected she says its not sent to a collections that uses your social security now whats the point of having me panic and worry that my credit will be jeopardized. They honestly have NO CLUE what there talking about .. now i wanted to speak to somebody above Nicole because supposedly she is the manager but than another associate says no she’s the “assistant manager” now poor communication they dont even know what role there playing as. I regret coming here and dealing with this place. Billy if you see this its not about my account is that you have two people who were weren’t knowledgeable about the information that was given to me. I had to call the district manager Daniel to actually get a better understanding of things! Kat and Nicole were NO help.

Great location, always clean and staff are nice. VERY confused about the mask policy. Have been going regularly since re-opening and always wear a mask while walking around, but never while actively sprinting on the treadmill (also PF website says it is not required while actively working out). The last 3 times Ive gone staff have come up to me while on the treadmill and told me I need to have a mask on while working out or I have to leave. I explained to them what the website says and they have responded (not always friendly) with this location isnt observing that policy, a mask is required while working out. Sounds like a lack of communication and the owner needs to have some sort of memo go out to the team on what is allowed vs. not.

Things are almost back to usual there except for extensive and continuous disinfection

The front desk guy thought it was a good idea to get nasty and scold me for doing forward lunges in between my smith machine sets. Very rude and made a scene in front of everyone. Doesn’t seem to say anything to the guys who hog machines and benches for an hour though.I clean machines before and after I use them, I social distance and wear a mask when I’m not exercising. He didn’t need to speak to me in that way.

Never been here. Only went in to cancel membership since Im not going to the gym. Cancelled my membership on the 28th and they still charged me the annual fee on Sept 1st. This is unfair! Nobody could go from March-July any ways, I Cancelled, AND they still charged the annual fee. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Place is vast and has all equipments ..but i dont see much people coming in during this covid time and some people dont follow strict mask guideline, which i understand is not possible when working out heavily ..i think it would be better to workout at home and avoid gym until covid situation is resolved .

First time there I was scared of being judged as I’m very overweight but I walked in and so the no judgement zone signs and felt so comfy to workout beat gym ever

Ive been a member of planet fitness for an eternity but recently moved to Stamford and transferred to this location. Its great. A little less clean than what Im used to but overall there is a lot of space to get a good workout done and not have to worry about crowding in or losing a machine.

If you want space and want to be focused on you training, so this is the place for you.

I love the layout of this gym. Its only 30 minutes from where I live at in New York.

The require you to physically go to the gym to cancel. No legitimate reason other than they have you ACH information and want to steal your money.When you are dead you will still be paying Planet Fitness in Stamford.

The facility was clean and the staff were friendly.

They have all the machines to get a total body workout, plenty of cardio machines available . Gym has a good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

The employee Brandon was very helpful and kind even though he wasnt a trainer he went out of hes way to explain how some machines work and showed me some exercises and made me very comfortable in this gym being that this is my first time in one.

Keeping in mind that Planet Fitness, as a brand, advertises that its not a hardcore gym (limited free weights and such), this place is great. Its clean, huge, most things are well kept, and the hours are reasonable. Also, plenty of parking. If you need to get some cardio and light circuit training done, this place is perfect.

It’s perfect for my needs...close to home, ridiculously cheap, spacious, not overcrowded, and clean. Mostly I was looking for a place to run when the weather is awful, and they’ve got tons of nice treadmills, never a problem getting one, and nobody cares if I run for an hour. But I also take advantage of the strength training equipment, pretty much anyone can get a solid workout with what they have, unless you are a hardcore bodybuilder or power lifter maybe. Also not the place if you are looking for instructor-led dance or spin classes, or one-on-one training sessions. But as far as a good, inexpensive basic gym for those of us who just want to go in and do our own thing, PF is great.

Dirty and old equipment. It looks nice when you first walk in because they take good care of the entryway and thats about it. The good news is theres plenty of equipment for the amount of people that were in there and the staff was pretty friendly

So many patrons do not wipe down the equipment after they use it, and the staff is otherwise occupied to be out in the club enforcing the policy, or they dont have enough staff to be able to monitor things. In either case, habitual offenders of this policy should have consequences, but PF doesnt seem to care about the safety and health and well-being of its patrons by letting this happen on a daily basis. If only there was another location in Stamford.....

Good local gym for those who prefer low impact and cardio/circuit training. Tons of cross-trainers, bikes and treadmills so no waiting. Not much for free weights as gym is geared towards 30-minute workout. Much cleaner than in the past and open long hours (4am-11pm during week). No classes offered. I recommend.

I am not complaining for what they charge per month, but shouldnt all planet fitness offer the same quality of experience at all their locations!! I went to a pf at Woodbridge NJ and transferred to here!! I instantly regretted the transfer !! There are some machines missing like the incline push ups and the whole equipment is OLD!! Please get contact less electronic paper dispenser for both in gym and in restroom and save paper !! shouldnt PF be a 24hrs place ??

This is a great gym and you could get a nice work out in.The staff is very helpful. The one con is I just wish it was cleaner.

Im new to this gym, which is one of the few gyms in the area. Its an average gym. Clean and organized. Equipment there are in good shape. Staff seems friendly. Does have free WiFi. Does not offer classes or have a swimming pool (that I know of like LA Fitness). May offer personal training, but you have to seek info about it. Membership starts from $10 (for yourself) but can be $20 (for yourself and a friend). If youre looking for a place just to workout nothing extra like classes, this is decent.

Ive been going this gym for a quite a while and have been satisfied with it for the price. They could use more machines however since it seems like Im always waiting for the one i want. Another issue i have with the place is the clientele and how they treat the equipment like toys. Its like a circus sometimes with the crazy ways they use the machines. Ive seen a guy hanging on one one time, the staff should walk around and make sure the machines are being used as intended. That being said, the staff is very nice and friendly.

I got a good workout there,looking forward in going back.

I purchased a Black Memebership (the most expensive one) in 2015. I have no complaints about the gym itself as I never had to wait for a treadmill and the facility is clean. My major complaint is how my membership was handled by staff after I suffered a three month illness this summer. I was in and out of three hospitals and was unable to work for three months. When I was able to return to work and the gym to start my path to healing, my doctor wrote a note explaining my illness. I was told my a staff member that in order to freeze my membership it had to be done when I got sick and indicated it was on my contract. I explained that was not possible due to my circumstances and would an exception be made and I was just told sorry. I then went back to cancel my membership which I really did not want to do and spoke to another staff member who was a bit more sympathetic. She made a copy of my medical note and said a manager would call me......that was three days ago. It is very disappointing that a business that is supposed to promote health could not accommodate my circumstance (and probably countless other peoples circumstances too) due to and unforeseen illness. When a person is sick and battling a disease, they are not thinking about the fine line of their Planet Fitness contract!

In the last year, lockers have been broken into on at least two occasions that I know of - including mine. Both times were at peak periods, around 6 to 7pm. Whoever broke into the lockers used bolt cutters on mine! One of the busiest locker rooms in Stamford and no one saw anything? Management didnt even offer me a free new lock, or maybe pay a months membership for my trouble. So carry your valuables with you, a locked locker isnt even safe. As for other things, the floors in the mens locker room are always wet, so wear flip-flops, and the bathroom constantly smells! Forget the judgment-free crap, looks like you NEED a gym body to be seen here. Mostly Latino crowd here. Packed right after work and hard to find parking. Forget about it after New Years, you spend as much time trying to park as you do working out. And by the way, its a poorly lit parking lot - dont leave valuables in your car either! Staff is friendly, machines and weights are okay, but this is definitely the worst gym Ive ever joined.

If I could give this location manager no stars I would. She very rude and have no people service skills what so ever and when she doesn’t want to resolve your issue she doesn’t take your call. The location is great and really big area for car parking.

Its off the beaten path with lots of parking and easily access. There are ample bikes, treadmills and stair climbers at the gym. There are many exercise machines to choose from. There locker rooms are clean and there is an endless supply of tootsie rolls.

An older Planet Fitness. Good layout. Plenty of Carido machines. No waiting for most of the work-out.

Love the gym, serves its purpose excellently!! My only complaint is that they close at 11pm. I used to live in the city and all were open 24hrs during weekdays.Some of these complaints in the reviews are unreal for ppl paying maximum $20a month, I mean come on.

Last week I reached out to management regarding the cleanliness of this location in particular the showers and sinks, I had come as my husbands guest, although I have a membership at another location I wanted to be able to attend this gym with my husband on occasion and I love the fact that they open at 4am. I’m disgusted by the mold and mildew found in the shower stalls and sink handles. The General manager contacted me and asked that I send him the photos that I had I thought this situation would be rectified so I signed up as a member to then return today to the same disgusting black mold in the shower stalls. I will be contacting corporate today to cancel my membership immediately

The absolute worst gym I have ever joined. Zero motivation in this place. the music is terrible. the equipment is a joke. the staff are useless and only talk about policy. stay far away from any of these gyms if you can call them gyms. this place isnt worth $10 a month. just awful!

Love the vast amount of machines, only hate the fact that is next to the recycling center, cause outside smells awful. Other than that decent workout place.

I will never step foot in this place again. The people there didnt know any of the information I needed and they were dressed in shorts and flip flops. Not the kind of place I wanna go and put my money into. Its a very low budget place.The service was terrible.

I’m currently watching the front desk attendant sit in her car outside while there’s no staff member inside. I know myself and others have had things stolen from me at this location before, but it’s really good to know that she can’t be bothered to even stay in the building.

Typical planet fitness, not much changes location to location. Just be aware of the hours as this one is not 24 hours.

I am a black card member and have been a member of PF for 5 years. I came in on a Sunday to exercise and tan. Following my workout, I asked to tan (at 6:29pm) and was told that I could not tan because the gym was closing in 30 mins and all the beds were closed. I then asked to lay on the hydrolic massage bed for 5 mins and was told no but proceeded to watch another member walk back and lay on the massage bed for a 10 min massage after I was told I could not receive one. Extremely poor customer service, considering I have been a member for 5 years.
