Jim is n the SAME GREAT LOCATION but now in W&M barbershop.My son still gets that same great haircut from Jim!

I had an authentic barber shop experience. I went in with a beard and mop of hair that got overgrown during quarantine and asked to get it all out down to a business length. Over the next hour, Jim cut and shaved while talking to me about family, home towns, and church experiences. I left with a good haircut, a smooth face, and a new friend. It was a different experience than my standard big chain hair cut shop and disposable razors at home.

This is the worst haircut Ive had in my entire life. Im sorry, but its the truth. I went in with an overdue head of hair. It was long. I told Jim I wanted it blocked in the back, the sides taken to just barely above my ears, and about 2 long on top. The first thing he did was take the clippers and run a swath straight up the back of my neck... too late to correct his error. I now have nothing-- no hair at all on my neck or the lower half of the back of my head, and nothing on the sides. I look like a 1940s farmer. This is exactly what I did not want. He essentially ignored everything I told him and just shaved away.

It changed names and is leaning more to hair styling than a real barber shop. Sign of the times I guess.

Everything you could want in a quality barbershop. Friendly, nice atmosphere and even a pool table while you wait. Jimmy is a real professional and a pleasure to visit with during the haircut. I highly recommend them for all grooming needs!Micheal

Got my hair cut here yesterday. Worst hair cut I have ever had. A 2 year old could have done a better job at least all my hair would have been cut. Not even half my hair was cut it looked horrible. My neck line wasnt even straight and above my left ear was nicked way bad. Never ever coming back Im astonished they have a 5 star on facebook and 4.8 on Google.

This was a very novel experience. Walking in to his shop was pleasant and felt like a movie straight out of the 80s. He was a sweet old man. He was easy to talk with and very pleasant all around. When I came home, the haircut was completely awful. My bangs were cut at a sharp angle, on the top of my head was cut in drastically different lengths. My neckline resembled a rainbow an inch above my previous neckline. Completely awful. Reading reviews it sounds like he has really good days and really bad days. I just wasnt so lucky.

Yesterday was my first time ever going to an actual hair stylist. All my life, my cosmetologist mother cut & styled my hair, or I would do a shabby cut on myself if she wasnt available. I was nervous about paying someone to cut my hair, especially if the cut didnt turn out the way I liked. I had no reason to be scared! Jim has the best reviews of any barbershop/salon near me. Their staff is so friendly and helpful. Sarah did my pixie and absolutely amazed me with her work. I love it!!! My husband thinks its adorable as well, so thats a plus! $12 for such great service is amazing, and I cant wait to go back when I need trims. I may even decide to have Sarah color my hair, or ask Jim to give me a hair tattoo one of these days! I definitely recommend Jims Hair Emporium!UPDATE: It has been two months since my first haircut at Jims and Ive now had three cuts done. Im still just as impressed as I was initially, if not more so, and I have recommended Jims to friends & family. Definitely go here if youre looking for profession but affordable hair care!

Went here for the first time recently. Love the feeling of that old school barber shop, and at $13 for the haircut I feel he was also fairly priced. One of those places you actually still feel valued as a customer. Definitely going back. ---oh yeah, and the he did a great job on my haircut.

Jims is a happy friendly hair emporium with everything youd expect for an old classic barbershop. The energy was light and happy and kept my fiancé and I smiling the whole time. We got to meet Jim and had him cut my finances hair for some engagement pictures and his hair turned out great! The prices were awesome and we tipped him very well with lots of thanks! Great place to get a haircut. I pass 10 other hair cutting places on the way to Jims because hes does a great job, will shave me with a straight-edge razor and provides a lot of value for the cost of your haircut. If youre tired of getting your haircut by someone whos been out of cosmetology school for less than a month...go to a professional like Jim!

Ive got to be honest, when I walked into Jims shop I thought about immediately walking out. There was 40 year old wallpaper on the walls and I was younger than everyone in the building by 30 years. I decided to give Jim a shot at cutting my hair and beard and he did not disappoint. I will now be coming here every two weeks. His 50+ years of experience shows and I am very happy with the results.

Jim has been the best barber I have been too. He does an amazing job and if you arent satisfied is more than happy to fix anything you notice after the fact. His prices are very reasonable. All around a good business and person.

Sarah cut and styled my hair. She had almost 20 years experience but was still knowledgeable about current trends. She really listened to me and did my hair in stages to make sure I liked it. She was awesome and I would recommend to anyone.

My 11 year old son told his friends at school he was going to show up at an event that night with short hair. He had hair to his mid shoulder blades. He did not inform me of this however. We pulled into Jims as it was on the way to our event and our only hope! He was finishing a cut and said he could do it. He did a great job and made the day of a now even cuter 11 year boy.

Horrible job. Both fades on the side of my head are uneven!! If he wants to make small talk with you I would suggest, dont! Im pretty sure he cant focus and cut hair at the same time. The only reason why I went to this barber is because my barber fell through and this place was my backup based upon the ratings. Apparently, these previous ratings didnt tell me S***! Most barbers take at least 30min - an Hour. He was done in 10 minutes. I didnt know things were funky till I stepped into the light outside. Make sure you examine your hair thoroughly before leaving.

Ive been going to Jim for a haircut and an occasional shave for about six years. He has always managed to get me in on short notice, and he does an excellent job.

Was disappointed with the hair cuts they gave my two boys. They are 2 and 4. The lady gave my 4 year old a lopsided fohawk and i asked for a fade, got nothing close to it. They say they service men women and children, but I think they should remove the children part because the man didnt seem to have the patience to cut kids hair.

I like Jim a lot, and my haircut always looks great. Ive been a repeat customer for a few years now.
