I switched from patriot disposal as they were absolutely terrible and moved to this company, and it has been so easy. They’re very understanding, never miss a pick up unless holidays which is specified that they will pick up at an alternate time, and courteous when speaking to them. Honestly when I had my previous trash company it was a headache every single week trying to get my trash actually picked up. Definitely recommend this company.***edit*** I had to come back in and edit this review- after looking at their Instagram as well because I was interested to see what that looked like, I love this company so much more. They have posts on there that are funny, appreciation post, and they have posts that tell you what you cannot put in your trash can. The great part about that is- they don’t do it in a rude manner, they then give you tips and suggestions on where you can recycle what you’re needing to. Such a great company.

My girlfriend and I just moved into our place off of Fremont and were referred to Ozark refuse... We had an issue with a card being put on file that was the wrong card(our fault, not theirs) and it wasnt able to be charged(invalid card) and then once we finally changed it, both she and I got sick with COVID, and were negligent in paying on time when we shouldve... This company continued to pickup our trash even after only receiving the one payment long after they shouldve by all rights stopped services... We are better now and getting everything on track with our payments from being behind, but Ozark Refuse is a class act company that deserves a lot of credit for having gone above and beyond when there was no reason for them to have had to, and that is something that means a lot to myself and my girlfriend both, as we arent used to being behind on bills and when we found ourselves in that position, some of our other service providers werent nearly as understanding as this company was and some even treated us pretty poorly as soon as we fell behind on our first payment... I would recommend Ozark Refuse to anyone in need of any trash service and sincerely appreciate the understanding offered to us in our time of need... Thank you sincerely!!!

Excellent service! I simply pay my bill on time and they come each week to collect my garbage. It is a very simple process. I highly recommend Ozark Refuse.

We had used this company for a couple of years and had no issue with them until now (aside from them occasionally leaving the trash can halfway in the road). We had previously received great customer service. However, one day recently, the garbage collector pulled our trash can out with one hand, toppling it over. After he picked up some of it, he left, leaving the two garbage bags that were sitting right next to the trash can. When my mother called, the woman said they didnt pick those up because there were 6 bags. My mother explained that there were only 2 bags, but the lady was not hearing it and even claimed to have video. Clearly, this video was not taken at our house as there was only two bags next to the trash can, unless the man took a video after he toppled our trash can. Furthermore, my mother requested to cancel the service after the next Friday trash collection. They picked up the trash can on Tuesday instead of what we had requested. We were very dissappointed in how they handled this situation and will not be using them or recommending them in the future.

I used to have another company picking up my trash and every 3 months they kept raising their prices. Plus I found out that company was from Canada. I have no problem with Canada but I would much rather use a local business like Ozark Refuse. They are all friendly, affordable and haven’t raised my price in a couple years.

Great service and reliable. Our old company was bought out by them and they still honored the rate although the billing changed to quarterly. And it hasnt changed in over three years. They were flexible in payments until we cod get synced up.

Came days late and caused me to have to pick up my trash in the street and trash in my front yard that was scattered by animals. Im not impressed. Business always want you to pay your bill on time but they should be on time too. They usually pick it up Monday, if they messed up and forgot my area they shouldve came Tuesday and not make people wait until Thursday. Their mistake, not mine. I dont care if it didnt fit in their schedule or was out of their way.

We have even been out of town and didn’t set out our can and they walked up to the house and got it for us and returned it! Great service!!

I have lived in a few different cities in my adult life and have dealt with countless businesses but I have to say this is hands down the best service I have ever experienced. They are all very friendly and helpful. I wish everyone in Springfield would use this company.

Every company should be operated like Ozark Refuse or maybe they should operate every company. We didnt have our trash out to the curb today, they ran a little early, so they got the trash container from the side of the house and emptied it! That is such amazing customer service! They have great prices and are always willing to help. Great company

They do a great job for the most part. I would like to see a little more communication when the bill is due. Yeah you a bill in the mail but since its only every 3 months and my kids grab the mail everyday, I dont see a lot of the mail right away. A call, a text, etc. Something along those lines would be nice. I do like how they do take more than 2 bags if you put it outside of the garbage can for $5. Im only bringing the bill up because I have a Garbage can full of trash due to not seeing the bill. Its going to be a long week and 2 weeks worth of trash because Im busy and missed the bill in the mail.

Everything was fine for 6 months or so, then they suddenly started upping their prices, missing pickups, lied about their drivers saying they picked up our trash when they didnt and then charging an extra $15 just to pick up the trash they lied about picking up for the week. Absolutely ridiculous.Good luck actually getting in touch with someone too.

Consistent garbage pickup and good price.Trash can was delivered with no issue, but had issue getting my recycling bin as I was told two weeks in a row it was delivered when it was nowhere to be seen. Unsure if it was stolen or what, but I was only able to confirm it being delivered when I directly saw the person placing it in front of my house.Currently, I am frustrated at being told multiple times that my recycling bin was not put out when I put it out the same time as my trash can the night before my pickup day. I admittedly do not put it out every week as I do not have enough recycling every week to justify putting it out, but when I do I always try to place it beside the trash can in a way that makes it obvious it is there. I have tried putting it beside the trash can in view of oncoming traffic and in front of the trash can, where it is obviously moved out of the way so the trash can can be emptied, and I still get missed every other time I put it out and told it wasnt there.I want to continue using this service and I want to continue using the recycling service but Im tired of this continually happening. If me putting out my recycling bin every week, even with only a small bit of recyclables is whats required then I can easily do such, but I expect consistent service, or at least being honestly told that I was skipped over due to my inconsistency.

Wow, blown away at how awesome this company is. A couple times I forgot to out my trash out and they came up to my garage and grabbed it. I set up on auto-pay and never have to worry about paying them. I see why almost everyone on my block uses them.

You have to wait past your pick up date, call them, and then they will say we moved your pickup date ahead two days, No phone call, no email, just too bad so sad. My husband and I moved from Rolla to Springfield and our new neighbor was using Ozark Refuse for trash service and said they were great. We made a great decision listening to our neighbor. Our bin was delivered the next day and so far the truck shows up every Tuesday at the same time. The guys always smile and wave and put our bin right back where it was. If you need service, we highly recommend this company.

My landlord recently switched to Ozark Refuse but she didnt remember the pick up date .I emailed about 20 minutes ago asking what day our pick up was and I received a quick response back with an answer. Just for the fact that customer service (Amanda Wilson) emailed me back at 11:49pm, i am thoroughly impressed.

Just signed up for their service going on 3 weeks ago. The first week was fine. Second week rolls around and they don’t pick up our trash. I called to find out why and they were supposed to call back. Never received any correspondence. Looking for another trash service. Our FULL trash can has been by the road since the night before pick up day last week and we have trash piling up in our garage bc we paid for a service that wasn’t provided. We are paid up for another 2 months so non payment isn’t the problem and I put my can out the night before. They simply didn’t pick it up.

By far the best garbage collection company in Springfield Missouri. I have used a couple others and they are no way in the same league as Ozark Refuse. A human answers their phone, their price is low and they always show up at the same time each week. I highly recommend them.

I’ve only lived in the Springfield region my whole life so I can’t compare sanitation companies from other cities but in Springfield, the best by far is Ozark Refuse. They are a local company that knows how to take care of their customers. I had a few companies before but since switching to these guys in 2010 i’ve been happy. The guys on the trucks are friendly and when I call the office the secretaries are friendly. Give em a try, I bet you’ll be happy you did.

Should have called them first! Terry is great, easy to work with, and the fact that they bill what they quote is so refreshing after dealing with Republic/Allied. $15/month, flat rate, no hidden fees. Trash was picked up in the early morning hours so you can take the can back in before you leave for work in the morning! Never had a problem with the service or billing. I also never had a problem getting them on the phone.

Do not do business with them, they forget to pick up your trash, then they raise their rates and super extra rude owners that used to raise pigs.

I was very happy that when I first called a real employee answered the phone and not a recording. When I moved here I called around and every other company was either a recording or a voicemail. Two days after I paid my bin was delivered. Great company.

Payed a year in advance . They missed several pick ups . My pick up day was Tuesday and I would have it out there at 4:45 - 5:00 am. Truck broke down, guy quit, new driver, ect . Sorry to hear that but not my problem . I gave them several chances but had enough . They were always nice about it but really need someone every week on the scheduled day to do what they were payed to do .

What a great local business! The guys that dump our waste bin are always friendly and when we pay our bill the ladies that answer the phone are always friendly and helpful. WOW, I called in yesterday morning to start trash service because my old company keeps raising their costs and a very friendly woman answered the phone and signed me up. They told me it would be a couple days before I would receive the trash cart and it’s already here today. I am very impressed with Ozark Refuse. I now see why my neighbors all use them. Have had them pick up Trash from us for a very long time he recently I lost my job and didn’t have a cell phone and couldn’t pay my “future” bill bc y’all we pay for the next three months and now they won’t restart my trash service because they’ve had to pick up their trashcan twice out of the 3 to 4 years that I’ve paid them to come pick up my trash bc I missed my payment smh come on now they drive by my house every weekI’d rather go through somebody who is more understanding than a crotchety old lady that answered the phone

I have tried them for 3 months but based on where you live they raise the prices and their workers are not doing a good job and are making messes sometimes. Ended up choosing a big Waste company.

Terrible customer service. Had a drunk driver hit my trash can, explained what happened, offer copies of the police report and never heard anything back. Get my next bill and was being charged for the dumpster. Called in and owner hung up on me the first time, called back to tell them they did not have authorization to run my card for the dumpster and owner started yelling at me then told me she would just send it to the collection agency. Absolutely horrible experienceUpdate: You are distasteful and have absolutely no customer service skills. You responses to anyone who leaves you a negative review are repulsive but sadly an honest representation of the interactions you hold.

Affordable services with friendly customer care! They have always been easy to work with from the beginning, and the staff was kind enough to help me set up automatic payments when I was having difficulties making payments on time due mostly to my own schedules conflicts with standard office hours. Kelly Deam is my daughter. Everything she stated was true. She recorded her first call with your business after three weeks of no trash pick up. The person she spoke to was indifferent and rude. She gave a pretty clear impression that the threat of me canceling service meant nothing to your business. I called today and was given yet another excuse. That excuse was that the driver said the container hadnt been put out for pick up. The can has been sitting full at the end of my driveway 3 Fridays in a row. Again, take my daughters advice. If those of you reading this want trash service with decent human beings answering your questions and concerns, and that appreciate you as a paying customer, please go somewhere else for your service. There are many to choose from and less expensive too. Honesty matters.

I started trash pickup service through Ozark Refuse a couple years ago and I have been very pleased. Each week when I take my bin out I always come home to an empty bin left in the same place. Every three months they send me a bill and it’s always the same price and there isn’t a bunch of extra fees. I call in and have them run my credit card and they are always extremely friendly. I highly recommend Ozark Refuse.

After another company set my service up a week ago and guaranteed they would be by to pick it up when I called to confirm, they never showed. When I called the next morning they advised me that there was no way they could get my trash and that if I wanted to bring it all up to them they would set up my account (even though they said it was already done). I called Ozark Refuse, before they even opened at 9am and within 10 minutes the nice lady that answered the phone called me back, has a guy coming to pick up my trash and bring me a barrel. EXCELLENT customer service and I am already impressed.And.... I need to add not only did they come and pick up our trash and bring us a barrel they put the barrel by the house for me!!!

Originally I put a one star review, but for the first several months we had this service everything was good, it’s only been the last 6 months we’ve had issues. Like another review on here, I had issues with my trash being picked up on time every week. I finally had to cancel service after weeks of my trash sitting on the curb and not being picked up. Office staff was nice when I would call, but doesn’t change calling every week to make sure someone is going to have your trash picked up is ridiculous. They need a new driver or a better route system.

So, my wife and I have honestly gone from dealing with one of the worst trash service companies around in this area, to, in our opinion, the best disposal company around! Not only, do they pick up like clock work on our day of pick, but their customer service is great as well. So we had a late night, the night before pick up, and needless to say, we forgot to set our can by the curve... I called in with all honesty, and told them what had happened, and expecting to be told sorry, you will just have to remember to set it out next week... We were greeted by a pleasant voice that said with a slight laugh, I have already let our driver know, and he will be back by as soon as he can for pick up! I was so happy! Within less than an hour they were back to pick up the trash. Exceptional service.

Ive had horrible service with Patriot Disposal (signed up for 3 months in advance, card was charged, trash can never delivered, refusal to give us our money back & to top it off - now we have trash just piling up 😳)Needless to say, I called Ozark Refuse in a panic! I needed an honest trash service asap. They called me right back after I contacted them, and then, had a trash cart delivered within 2 days.They even told me I could add our extra 3 bags of accumulated trash to the first pick up. This is a family run business. They are available and responsive during their posted business hours and return calls promptly. They care about their customers. I was on a new route opening up so there was a missed pickup initially, but they got a driver out in a reasonable time and got the route corrected. I havent had an issue since. They give clear reasonable guidelines, which if you follow, I cant see why you wouldnt have a positive experience. If you do have an issue you just call and talk it through your concerns with them and they will address it. Their prices are fair and theres no funny business with surprise charges. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a local business with good people.

We have used several companies and each one always raises their rates after 6 months and after a year. With Ozark Refuse, we always pay the same rate, we have the same size barrel as we did with other companies and they charge way less. NEVER raised the rates with both times we have used them. We have never had a problem with them either. Friendly service!!!

I have Been in contact with them multiple times and they do not seam to care about us. we have had 6 cases where trash has not been picked up. It has been 3 weeks since we have had someone come to pick up our trash! I have called and they either send me to voice mail or say I dont have anyone that can pick up your trash today, I might have someone tomorrow however no one ever comes to pick up our trash. I Would not recommend this place to anyone. I am so disappointed because they had such great reviews, and they do have the cheapest trash service, however if they never actually pick up the trash what is the point!

These guys are great, and inexpensive! My only issue is getting a hold of anyone in the office seems impossible. But other than that, service is great :)

Irregular pickup times . They tried to say my payment was late even though they admitted over the phone I was not even billed. I decided to be a nice guy and I payed the bill over the phone on 11/10/17. I noticed my can was gone last night on Black Friday! No one is answering the phone so I guess I lost two and a half months service and my trash is pilling up .

Awful that people write fake reviews! Stuff about toilet paper, dogs, that’s ridiculous. Ozark Refuse is a great company. My family and our church have used them for over a decade and I would give them 10 stars if I could. Google should remove those fake reviews seeing as they all came in around the same time. Sorry good people have to deal with this stuff.

When I called, the woman I spoke to was always polite and understanding.Problem is, i had to call every other week because they wouldnt come to pick-up our trash for 2-3 weeks at a time, blamed driver turn-over... (Real Reason: Incompetent, Out of touch leaders). They ARE the cheapest company we could find in Springfield city limits, by $5 a month. Cancelled my service and decided I could afford the extra $5 a month if it meant I wouldnt have a huge pile of trash in front of my house for two-three weeks.

We just started service about a month ago, last Friday our trash didnt get picked up as well as several others on our street. Terry who claims to be an owner was very rude on Monday when I called to inform them that no one picked up our trash. She told me I didnt have it out early, the night before should be early enough. Then she told me she would call me back and never did. I called her after waiting over an hour. She said there wasnt anything she could do about the problem but would make sure we got picked up this Friday. Thursday afternoon I called to make sure the person does his job and picks up our trash. Terry got very rude and told me I called her company names and made accusations against them, this is a lie. Yes I was angry to come home Sunday night to have trash all over my yard because there company cannot do their job. Rather than take responsibility for being wrong she was very hateful. I told her at the end of this 3 months I was canceling with them, her response was well we will pick up the can Friday and be done with you.I realize she or someone from the company will respond with what will likely be a lie from them.Just as I stated they would lie about the situation. Me and several others didnt have our trash picked up. I never cussed and yelled at anyone. Sad that a company will lie instead of take responsibility for their failure to do the job they are paid for.Many others have posted the same basic response from this company.And again more lies from the owners. I never threatened violence on anyone but continue to tell your lies. As I stated before you canceled service because you dont take responsibility for your failure as a business.I just reread your comments and you stated you were the owner and driver for Republic. Terry who claims to be one of the owners stated that the driver was new on that route. More of your honesty and integrity showing thru.

Best customer service in Springfield. I call in every three months to pay my bill and the ladies I speak to are the friendliest people I have ever spoke with on a telephone. I don’t understand how you could write a bad review about this company unless you’re an idiot. You put your trash out on trash day and you pay your bill. I would bet the negative reviewers don’t pay thier bills. I work from home and I have spoke with the guys that pick up my trash and they are always pleasant and friendly too.
