Im with a veteran honors group and have provided motor escort for over 50 veterans from funeral homes and churches to their final resting place.Today was the first time I attended a veterans funeral at Herman H. Lohmeyer and I was amazed to see that this was the most well equipped funeral home Ive yet seen in this area when it comes to having a safe and organized procession. They used magnetic signs on all the family vehicles and had a staff member prepared with a stop sign to signal traffic near the funeral home to wait for the procession to leave.I very much hope that more veterans will coose this funeral home, because it was much easier to provide the honor escort with such prepared funeral directors!

My Dad passed away suddenly. Kent at the Herman H. Lohmeyer funeral home was very kind and helpful with making all the arrangements. Our family is very grateful to Kent for all of his patience, knowledge, and kindness in helping us with the decisions we needed to make. His emotional support was amazing for the family and our guests. Kent was great at communicating with the Missouri Veterans Cemetery as well. He also helped us with the paperwork we needed. Would my family use there services again ?... ABSOLUTELY!!!

Stop looking for another funeral home. The Herman H Lohmeyer Funeral Home has presided over services for four of our family members, and they have exceeded our expectations time and time again. We never felt pressured about making decisions. When we had trouble deciding on an urn, Kent volunteered to loan us one of theirs for the service to give us more time to decide. We can also attest to being pleasantly surprised when presented with the final bill. It was less than what we had anticipated, and we considered it to be a very good value for the services they provided. We will not hesitate to use Lohmeyer again. At this point they feel like family.

Prior to my Father’s Death I had already met several times with Kent and Paul at Lohmyer Funeral Home to plan arrangements for his Funeral and they were kind, patient and professional.Fast forward my Father suddenly took ill and within a Month, went Home to be with Jesus. To add to the shock of this, the Preplanned Church Service was shut down due to CV19.Kent and Paul helped me every step of the way including opening their beautiful Chapel to my Family and I- while I had the difficult task of planning the Funeral while in another State.If you are looking for a place that is both Professional combined with a Family atmosphere this is the place!

When at the last minute the Church we chose to have our service at cancelled due to a COVID exposure, they jumped through hoops to walk us through our options and were immensely helpful in ensuring we had a beautiful service for my dad. There are not enough words of praise in my vocabulary to describe our experience with Lohmeyer funeral home. They cared for our family when my father passed away recently and they made everything absolutely perfect for us. The warmth that came from everyone there, Kent in particular, was so touching. This funeral home is, in my opinion, the best in at least the springfield, mo area. They helped with my mother and father, providing the best care and compassion to helping my brothers with options and always there to call anytime for any questions. Located in the heart of Springfield alows them to be a perfect helping hand in the sad end of life of loved ones. And if prices are in question, they are very kind with a cost that matches your thought, with payment options for your convenience. Its a hard time with lose, this place takes care of you in the decisions. Highly recommended and respected.

My husband passed away recently and I am so grateful that we used Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral home. From the first discussion with Kent at Lohmeyer funeral home, through the process of taking my husband from the Veterans Home in the middle of the night on a Sunday night, to every minuscule detail of the funeral process, Kent and the other staff were there to take care of all the details with ease, so that we did not have to worry or stress - we could just grieve. Kent and the other staff at Loymeyer were kind and gentle with us, taking care of us as if we were family. The funeral home itself was warm and welcoming, and we were able to have over 200 people in their chapel for our memorial service. The staff at Lohmeyer worked with us to set out photographs and to set up an area for musicians to play music during the service. Kent spoke from his heart to begin our service. The staff also made the transition from moving family and friends from the funeral home to the cemetery appear seamless. I thank you Loymeyer staff, especially Kent for helping me get through one of the saddest days of my life by your obvious years of experience at arranging funerals, but also for your genuine sensitivity and kindness.

My mother passed away 5 years ago. I am from Iowa and came to take care of her til she passed. These people are amazing. They cremated my mom the same day for me so I could get back to my nursing job. Thank you so much! And very friendly staff

We recently lost my Step Dad, he didnt have any arrangements set up. We chose to go with Herman Lohmeyer because my Uncle and My Mother had funeral policies there.
