I wish I could rate Honda better, but every single time I go in there - theres some problem or issue. I waited over an hour and had to go ask what the issue was in the repair bay itself. I was told they were looking for parts, because they had ordered the wrong ones. I told them to remove my vehicle as I am not paying for spare parts. I was told I had to replace a skid plate as it was damaged beyond repair for some 200 dollars. The very moment they knew they ordered the wrong parts they should have told me. Instead I had to go into the repair bay itself to ask what the problem was. A skid plate is literally a couple bolts/screws - should have taken minutes - but instead Im writing this review because they couldnt take a minute of their time and inform me. I asked the service manager to call me but they havent made the time yet. Unprofessional discourteous - and just ignore customers, I wish there was another Honda I could go to. Instead Ill have to take my vehicle elsewhere. I even purchased my vehicle there - its really sad.

I would give 3.5 stars if I could. While the Staff was SUPER Friendly, I left without having some of the services that I requested completed, and a suggested repair bill that was half the price of the auto that I had just purchased. I live several hours from this dealership but recently bought my first Honda from these folks. THEY ARE AWESOME. Exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly and they answered every question I had. I would highly recommend. We are 3 hours away but the purchase process and the people made it worth the drive.

They are not very handicap friendly! Have to walk to from far corner of building to enter. There clean to other side for waiting area! Was told it would be about 25 minutes. Was over an hour and half! Only went cause I HAD to! As small things also HAS to be done only by them!! I cant afford $135.00 hr to fix one little thing!

Tanya our sales lady was amazing. She went above and beyond to help us find our perfect vehicle and understood our limits in regards to a monthly payment.Paul Baum was very helpful when it came down to the paperwork part of buying our vehicle. He kept us laughing during a long process and explained everything in detail with literally no questions left to ask.Very grateful for everyones help. I LOVE my Honda!

I bought a 2019 Accord from this dealer. I traded in another car for the sale. During the process the Honda was supposed to be prepared by the time we were through the billing office. We had to keep reminding our sales person to please have the sticker removed from the trunk. I dont like having any stickers on my cars. We asked them to have this done about 3 times. The detail shop had already been in and cleaned it up but had to come back for the sticker since this wasnt conveyed properly. At the end of the deal the rep was supposed to show us features of the car. They didnt even know how to work most of it. For instance they couldnt tell me how to change the display on the dash to read as a tach vs the other stock options. I ended up having to use google to answer my own questions. Not a great experience.

Never, at any point, did I feel that I am being offered a car that I didn’t really want just to get a sale. Shout out to Chris Willhaus for making sure I am getting the car that I really wanted. I was treated “like a boss” from the moment I walked in at the dealership. He even got me a better offer through in-house financing.Also, shout out to Doug Harwell. The financial application went smoothly. He did great in explaining all my options and making sure I am getting the best offer.Overall, it was the most pleasant car buying experience ever! I will definitely recommend Don Wessel Honda.

I cannot say enough good things about the service or staff here. We left another dealership very dissatisfied and discouraged. As soon as we got to Honda we were greeted by Baylee. She asked what we were interested in and guided us in the right direction. She knew everything about the car and showed us every feature. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. She answered all of our questions and never rushed or pressured us into a purchase. We found the one we loved and are beyond happy with it. The whole experience was fantastic and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Honda is one of the best reliable manufacturers in the car world. Resell is always high. However when we went stock was low mostly due to the Computer chip shortage. Some pressure from sales staff. Not overly so however. Good clean offices, helpful staff.

I was there for routine maintenance. Theyre all very friendly and although they were really busy they still did a pretty good job of getting everyone through. I had a noise in my steering which they checked out. They even went for a test drive with me to make sure I was satisfied.

To preface this review, this dealership literally made my girlfriend cry and she had to leave immediately. The whole entire time, it felt like we were being lied to and kind of shuttled through things like sheep. The lady we initially dealt with was very nice but kept skirting important questions like if asking about prices would cause an inquiry on our credit (they hit it without telling us anything first)Then we just wanted to discuss pricing and what the monthly payments would be hypothetically. We werent deciding anything yet, she then shoved forms in front of us and told us we can only do that if we sign it. She said it was nothing, just to get our info but it turned out to be a financing form and they tried to get us to completely buy the car without even telling us information. Ive never dealt with this before.This is very pathetic and sad as my family has given them business for generations. Thats only the tip of the iceberg too.Once we were shoved into the financing office. The person assigned to us (bigger guy, I believe named Brian). Was immediately rude and tried to get us to buy the vehicle without any questions being answered first. He then started getting really aggressive when we said we were thinking of a lower priced vehicle before deciding on this one. He scolded us and said why are we even here then if we want something else. I literally told him none of my questions were answered and I dont know why either. He then freaked out and accused my girlfriend of identity theft because he wanted to a report and her SSN seemed to not work. Funny thing is, it was the right SSN and he entered it wrong. He then started prying and asking my girlfriend where shes from and that she may have stolen the identity shes using.After we said we wanted to pull back and discuss this. He immediately called another representative angrily and was mad he had to deal with us because we werent a done dealAll this pressure caused my girlfriend to cry because the whole dealership was so rude and putting so much pressure on her. The sad part of all this, is we really planned on getting a vehicle here, but now Ill never come back and Ill make sure my friends and family dont either.

Had my car’s fuel pump replaced due to recall, not only they couldn’t figure out the issue after replacing the fuel pump, now they are trying to keep my only car in the dealership. If the car can still running, I can just ignore it and bring it in by the next appointment, but this is the false that they’ve made, and I only have 1 vehicle.I really don’t know why I got treated like this when I bought the BRAND NEW car from them. I don’t know if it is because I get my car fix under the 36000 mile guarantee or what, but now I don’t have any vehicle to handle my personal stuff, and I have to walk for possibly 9 days “since we have appointments for the next 9 days”, according to a service guy over there.

Not sure how they earned the sloganLegendary Service it must be their car service side of the business, because the customer service we received from Bailey wasnt even close to fair service. You can clearly tell just by her demeanor that she is only there for one thing and thats to make her commission and go home. We have a baby on the way and due any day now. We started this venture for this vehicle at the beginning of July with Don Wessel, but its taken until today for them to be ready with the vehicle. They are extremely over priced, which wouldnt of been that big of an issue, if they in fact had Legendary Service. I also had reached out to management before writing this review to see if they would try to resolve some of these issues before going public, but they did not follow through with their promise once again. I was told I would be set up with another more qualified salesman but instead was greeted by Bailey again when I walked through the door to test drive the vehicle (that took a month and a half for them to get road ready). Funny thing is she didnt even offer an apology. I will never use Don Wessel Honda for anything in the future and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I loved working with Chris. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and never was pushy with the sale. I also liked working with Pat in the business office. The experience working with her was so much better than the business office at other dealerships. She was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and did not try to force me into additional products or packages after initially presenting what was offered. After this experience I cant imagine looking anywhere else for my next vehicle purchase.

I want to take a moment to publicly thank Pat in the parts Dept for his diligent efforts to find a rim and tire for our Honda Pilot. My wife and I were on vacation near Springfield this past week when we hit something in the road and cracked our rim. No one we called within a 5 hours drive could find the correct wheel for us and we couldn’t drive 10 hours home on the donut spare. Pat hooked us up with the correct parts next day. The friendly staff at the dealership were happy to take us to Bass Pro while we waited for the repairs to be complete. When we picked our vehicle up we notice a long light scratch along the driver door that wasn’t there before. While I was extremely displeased with this situation, I was happy that they showed accountability and fixed the problem. They buffed it right out and we had our pilot back in 30 mins Thank you guys for your great service.

The ONLY reason I would give them a one star is Eric in Service is SUPER nice. This dealership as a whole is a RIP OFF! I bought a used Honda from another dealer and it had recalls on it so I had to take it do Don Wessel to have the recalls fixed. They also did a courtesy inspection and told me all my fluids, filters, wipers, etc looked good. Two weeks after getting the recalls done I lost all electrical power and thought the alternator had gone out. I opened the hood to find my engine compart had TOOLS in it from when they did the recalls. Fuses were still pulled out and the cover was still off. Eric towed my car to Honda to verify that the recalls were done correctly (you know....since the job was left unfinished) and find out what was wrong with the car. Honda told me I would need a new alternator (their price was almost $1200 - part only), alternator belt, alternator mount, and that I also needed a bunch of other work done and that the STARTING estimate was $3500. Oh, and that the oil was overfilled and the cabin filter was missing (remember the courtesy inspection saying everything was good??) I had the car taken to another shop to be looked at and the alternator isnt even bad! The bolt holding the alternator broke and THAT was the whole issue. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy a car from this place and the ONLY way that I will take my car back here is if there is another recall that can ONLY be fixed by a Honda dealership....even then I might drive just to go to another one. Eric, you are super nice and I appreciate all your help....but you need to work for a more trustworthy company!!!

I took my car to be diagnosed for that horrible sounds it’s been making when I started my car. Dropped it off because my service tech said that it would need to be cold started in the morning to be properly diagnosed, even after he started the car and heard the trouble. They offered to take me home. It took a day for the diagnostic and they said to drop it off another day for the repairs after they got the parts. I scheduled an appointment with the tech and they said it would be a couple off days after the weekend to get fixed and that I would have it back in a day or two. Then start the “snags” as the tech puts it. First trouble was the parts they ordered were incorrect. They had the parts in a warehouse and could have the car fixed the next day, Friday. Just before close, I get a phone call from the tech and yet another snag occured and it should be done Monday afternoon. I called the tech Monday morning to check that we’d be on schedule because I am a veteran student using my benefits to attend classes full time. I have run out of groceries in my apartment and they’ve had my car almost a week and still haven’t completed the work. I just got out of class, called the tech for a ride from their shuttle to the dealership from school, when the tech informs me they broke something on my vehicle and they needed it for yet another day. This means one whole week without my car. As a veteran using the GI bill to go to school, I rely heavily on my car to get me to school, work and get groceries which I am out of and I counted on this place to keep their word for the third time. I am outraged to be put off by each phone call I recieved. This is by far the worst service I have ever had for a vehicle. I recommend going ANYWHERE else. Good luck

I had the WORST experience with the sales guy here.!! After the car was SOLD to me he acted like we don’t exist! Was NOT HELPFUL when I told him the cae he sold us is messing up..! His customer service was so UNPROFESSIONAL! I bought many cars in my life I’ve NEVERA DEALT with a sales person like him ever ! We had the car for a week and the car been messed up since day 1 and had to bring it in everyday for them to figure it out and still nothing when videos was show to them what the problem was .. I called Honda when I discovered I had a flat tire coming out of Orangetheory. I am 78 I have no clue about changing a tire let alone eating a donut or putting a donut on the car. So I called Honda and I talked to customer support Darren. He was very concerned about me getting the car to Honda and we ended the conversation with him telling me that there were tires that I needed in stock and that I needed to Drive slowly to get there. Once the tire has been changed by an Orangetheory sales support person, I was greeted when I got in to Honda by both the service consultant Devin Lynch and also Darren and from that time forward, it was easy peasy. I have bought a Honda car for many many years and I love the service that I get from the service department and I like the honest dealings that we get from the Justin Hetherington who sells me my cars. I would not buy anything other than a Honda. PS Honda Accords are my favorite. Im ready for an Honda Electric car!

I would not describe my experience with Honda as “Legendary”.Personally, I enjoy my car. Nothing about it makes me upset.When we went in to look for a car, I found the one I wanted. We went in and got the financing started. The man who helped us, was on his last day before retirement.He proceeded to rush us through paper work so he could go have his “Cake party” with all the others in the office that were standing outside waiting for us to finish. The man also wrote up the title and the financing incorrectly. My co-signer was signed on first and the account was made around them. So on paper work, the car is for my co-signer. Not myself. On the title to the car, it’s printed my co-signer first. Not me.Secondly I took my car in the other day because I was having water leak into my passenger side.Whole passenger side was soaked in probably a an inch or more of water.I took it in and they couldn’t figure it out. Clearly there is a hole somewhere or water would not be getting in.Car is not fixed. Dealership is blaming me for water entering the vehicle, and my carpet is still soaked.

Extremely disappointed. I dropped my vehicle off there on Friday for a diagnosis on a few things. I receive a call from the representative telling me if I leave the car there that it will be finished by tomorrow. Well tomorrow is a Saturday, and they close at 1:00 pm. So I call at 3:00 pm to find out that the service center is closed and my vehicle is not finished. So I now have to go without my vehicle for 48 hours, and the part Im am most upset about is there was absolutely no communication to me. As if someones means of transportation is vital to their daily responsibilities and obligations. Just poor business, poor guest relations, and definitely not legendary service.

Super pleased with the repair service shop in this Honda Dealer. I went in for a last minute oil change, and it was done within the hour. On 2/24/21 I brought my vehicle in for a safety recall on the airbag inflator...They performed the repair, and inspected my vehicle, said everything looked good, and the repair was made with no hiccups. I signed the paperwork, and took my keys and went back to my vehicle. as i was walking to my car, I noticed a large puddle of green fluid running out beneath the front of the vehicle, I got down and looked sure enough it was running like a waterfall from the plastic shroud under the car. Before entering the car I promptly returned to the technician that gave me my keys and told him about the fluid leaking from my car. He got the service manager and the service department manager tried to tell me that the radiator has busted and that it had to have happened between the time they worked on my car, and the time they parked my car 200 feet away, for me to get into and leave. We went and looked at the parking spot my car was parked in before they performed any services, it was bone dry, not a single drop of any fluid..... we looked a the spot that they pulled my car into to work on the vehicle, it too was dry no evidence of any fluid leaks... I can not believe the gull of the service manager to expect me to believe that my radiator just decided to bust between the time they worked on it and parked it 200 feet away..... I video recorded the entire situation from the time I gave my keys back to the technician before the service manager became involved..... they refuse to take any responsibility, and insist that its just bad timing. Ive never been so distraught in my life.... honestly I was expecting a hey this hose looks kind of dey rotted, or a hey your air filter looks pretty bad kind of up- sale.... but to completely ruin my vehicle is above and beyond heinous.I contacted Honda America. They filled a complaint against Don Wessel Honda on my behalf to be reviewed by the district manager, and gave me a case number.I also contacted the consumer protection agency, and filled a complaint, and emailed the video to the Missouri Attorney General.

Bought a vehicle 8 days ago. Due to weather hadnt had a chance to look under hood, been parked in our garage. Looked under the hood this morning and windshield washer fluid was almost empty, radiator overflow holder was almost empty. Should have been almost full according to owners manual. Apparently wasnt check before deliver. Went in this morning (special trip there) thankfully nice guy did fill the radiator up for me. Doug in financing is rude (most financial people at car dealers are) and seems to have an attitutide. Should have Went to Bill Roberts or a couple of dealers in KC(who dont charge a fake adminstrative fee). Pure profit for the dealer, $199 fee.Unfortinuatelly we wont return here to buy again. Wasnt a pleasant experience.

This was the first time I purchased a brand new car, and Don Wessel Honda was amazing. I worked directly with Loura, who helped me on multiple occasions and answered all my questions, even after I told her I may not choose to purchase a Honda. I didnt feel like I was being persuaded or coerced into a car, and I was able to move through the process at my own pace. I don’t recommend these people to anyone.I rate zero if possible.They didn’t even scrape off the tape all over the windshield after replacing it with a new one.We had a tire issue ever since we test drove it the first time. We told them about the issue.The never took care of it before officially handing it over to me.When I brought it back about a month later because I’ve had to air up the same tire 5 different times, they claimed I did it.Even after we mentioned it to them after we test drove it.When I took it to my buddies shop today to have him look at it. There was a screw in my tire.They legitimately sold me the car with a screw in the tire, even after reporting the issue.This has been an annoying nuisance the entire month I’ve had it.It cost me $12 total.They refused to take care of something and keep the customer happy for $12.That doesn’t make sense to me.Salesperson name is Baylee Massey.I don’t recommend her or them to anyone!

Every member of the team whom we came in contact with was not only kind and friendly, but was doing all they could to help us out. Tim Lee was friendly, courteous, honest and professional. He took time to answer questions, didnt rush me, treated me with respect. He handled the negotiation process really well and I felt I got a good deal based on my online research. He followed through with me as I moved on to Finance and vehicle delivery. David, the young man who helps set up your vehicle, pair your phone, show you the features of the vehicle, he was excellent. Knowledgeable and respectful. Very thorough. Love this dealership. Drove in at the scheduled time and everything was ready for us. A quick discussion on my transmission issue and we waited on the analysis. The coordinator came to the waiting room explained what was needed, how long it would take and that is was a covered repair. Past experiences with other dealers and cars were always a hassle, but not here. Didnt even have to pull out all my maintenance records. Very professional.

I never get good service here. Not in sales. Not in service. I used to get good service in parts, but thats changed, too, now, and anymore Jack is the only person Id recommend dealing with in parts. This is based off of over 20yrs worth of experience dealing with this dealership.Dont waste your time. Go to Roper in Joplin if you want to buy a car or have it serviced. Trust me, its worth the drive!

I am very disapointed with my entire experience at Don Wessel Honda. I traded in my 2014 Audi Q5 and downgraded to a 2008 Jeep Wrangler because I needed the extra money during these trying times. They said that everything had been checked out and tested before they sold me the car and that it was in great condition. Within two days off the lot the engine light came on. I went and used my three month warranty to get it fixed and they said everything was fine with the car and the light turned off. A couple weeks later the front of my car started smoking (twice this happened) and so I took the Jeep in again to use my warranty. The thermometer, water pump and break light all had to be replaced, I was also told that I had two oil leaks inside the vehicle. Turns out the warranty I bought only covered the water pump, which I was not aware of, they told me the warranty would cover it all if I purchased it after trading in my Audi. I ended up having to pay $400, which is money I do not have. I am a college student and sold my nice care because I needed cash in the first place. Then they said the engine light issues would cost $1,200 to fix but that I can do that later when it’s more critical. The mechanic, Joe, was very very nice and understanding and helped me out as much as he could, it isn’t his fault, it’s his managements fault. The warranty was dishonest. I don’t understand why they would sell me a defected car and especially for the price they did. I also feel like they did a “duct tape” job just to sell me the Jeep hoping it wouldn’t break down within the warranty. I feel like I was cheated and i’m very unhappy and absolutely broke now. I would suggest going to a more honest dealership. I’m more than happy to take down this review if I get my money back but it isn’t looking likely.

From our first visit we have always been treated with respect and greeted with friendly faces. Although a very busy place, they are always walking by asking if they can get you anything and also informing you of what is going on so you arent just wondering whats up. The sales people are super friendly and the finance team were wonderful. The showroom was very clean and with the threat of COVID-19, they took great measures to insure our safety. We have purchased 2 vehicles now from Don Wessel Honda, a 2019 Insight Hybrid and now a 2020 CRV Hybrid and are very pleased! Our 2019 Honda has been in for routine maintenance (oil change, transmission flush) and the service team thoroughly checked the vehicle to insure everything was in shape. No complaints about the service dept. at all! Overall I can honestly say we have converted to be a Honda family now and have no regrets!

I had a amazing experience with the staff at Don Wessel! They definitely went above and beyond for me but I got the feeling that’s just how they do business. I had been to every large dealership in Springfield looking for something specific with either no luck or bad customer service. A friend suggested I look at their inventory and there it was exactly what I had been looking for. When I arrived the salesman Randy right away helped me find that vehicle and sent me right on test drive. I mean like 10mins max. No drama, no pressure, no hassle just a friendly face looking to help. I took the vehicle to be looked at by a mechanic and what do you know it’s in GREAT CONDITION. When I arrived back at the dealership in a time crunch to make it to the bank they had everything ready and were super helpful. I love my new car and will send my whole family their way when they need a new vehicle. Special THANKS to Randy, Aaron and Rich who all helped me and made the experience great! I bought my Honda here. This is the only place Ive taken it to get serviced. The last couple times I had been there for and oil change there were a couple of other things that needed done. They didnt ask about it and it just didnt get done. I have a toddler and dont want to have to make multiple trips when it could all be done in 1 visit. The last time I was there I asked to speak with the manager about it. He seemed like he could care less. I feel like they dont care about my business. Seems like I need to find somewhere else for my car to get serviced.
