I walked in and was not acknowledged or asked what I would like or who am I looking for to get a cut from... I stood for 5 minutes and sat for two minutes. Then realized I will not be giving business to a place that does not greet potential customers. This happens when businesses get complacent and forget the importance of customer service. Shouldnt have VIP in your name.

I absolutely love this place. Tayte is my barber, I promise you that you wont regret it. My brothers and friends all have slowly made their way to her chair and can no longer get a cut with anyone else. Give it a try and youll never look back. Had a great experience everyone here treated me superbly from the second I walked in. Tayte cut my hair and man let me tell you bout skills. I made a reservation with a barber here named Wes who had over 30 years experience. I needed a good beard trim and I decided to put my trust in Wes. Let me tell you, he absolutely killed it. I told him exactly what I wanted to have done and he not only listened to every word but made it happen. I couldnt have left happier. If you have a beard and needed it trimmed/shaped up, Wes is your man!

Please do not take your kid to this place or go yourself. I just moved into the area and was looking for a new barber so I looked up the reviews and they had the most so I chose to take my 9 years old son here right before our vacation. We found parking in front of the store front, one of the barbers was on the phone outside who ended up cutting my sons hair. Before he started I shared with him pictures on my phone of what I wanted his hair to look like, he didnt pay any attention to it and proceeded to crop them very very close. I dont know what was going on with him but he kept turning to his cell phone on the counter every few seconds to send and receive text messages. I finally, loudly, commented that this guy was on the phone constantly instead of cutting my sons hair at which point, another barber took his phone. The barber finally concentrated on my sons hair but the damage was done. My son was balling because the hair looked so bad. No one ever apologized for his conduct. This place also is much more expensive than any traditional barber. I paid $20 for a kids haircut. Needless to say, Ill never go back again and tell everyone to not visit them either.

Best barber shop in the area. Everyone there gives good cuts. You may have to wait a while, but the reason is because they have the best cuts around the area. They do awesome fades for all hair types. Im a white dude with thin hair and they make it look good. lol. Get a haircut here and walk out feeling like a million bucks. Prices are great and they even give a military/first responder discount which I just give back as a part of the tip. Best barber shop Ive been to in the area.

If youre in need of a haircut and dont know anyone or are new to the area make a reservation here with Wes. We are loyal customers of his and followed him from another location. This spot is convenient to Springfield and Fort Belvoir, as well as the Lorton area. Wes is the only person I trust to cut my sons hair and my husband wont go to anyone else. Make an appointment with him and you wont regret it.

Dissatisfied and disappointed! I wouldnt even consider it a barber shop, reminds me more of a beauty salon with a bunch of guys wanting fashionable haircuts. If your looking for a fast haircut and shape up keep looking cause youll come here and waste your time youll be better of going to Maryland to a real barbershop and probably spend less time driving out to Maryland versus waiting. Barbers take on average an hour on a haircut. Only reason I go is because my son likes getting his haircut there but hes not aware of time and inconsiderate so I really hope he wakes up and decides to go elsewhere.

I’ve been coming to this shop for a little over a month now and have been getting cuts from Tayte. The shop is clean and comfortable and they play a good assortment of music.Tayte is the main reason I come here though. She is incredibly skilled and gives me exactly what I want every time. She really knows hair and it’s obvious - she makes suggestions based on my style, face shape and beard style to give me a good look all the way around.I’m especially particular about my beard trims and the first time she cut mine she assured me she was a beard trim master. I gave her a shot and she has since given me the best beard trims I’ve ever had.She gives the best fades around and kills it with the beard trims. If you’re a guy looking for an expert trim at a reasonable price Tayte should be your go-to. I’m really particular about my cuts and do not plan to go to anyone else for as long as Tayte is around.

I Seen this place very busy throughout the week so I decided to try for the first time. Paige cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. The fade was on point and knew what he was doing throughout the cut. Definitely gave me the gq look I was going for.

Yes these do a great job cutting and styling your hair. But ultimately they run a business, and what sorry attempt that is, unfortunately, they have zero professionalism. The sense of urgency is zero when you have 10 people waiting, they do act like u r the only person exist at that, zero pace a lots of chatter. I m sorry you can only do that when you take appointment, its first come first service, you cant have guys sign up at 9/10 in the morning and not care about them getting outa your door. And I will def change this review, when proper policy is in place

Barber clipped my sons eyebrow and gave him a serious cut about 3 inches on his scalp.The first guy on the right side when you first walk in. I did not tell management because he said that my son lifted his eyebrow and I did not notice the cut until the following day when I went to brush his hair.

Went here for the first time ever, and was the first time I went to a barbershop instead of a salon. I arrived before 10 AM and had a minimal wait (walk in, no appointment or stylist I was looking for). Anthony cut my hair after a discussion of what I was looking for (on a side note, he did offer advice since its really been probably 8 or so years since my last proper haircut - I was shaving my head myself before this). He was a little aggressive in the beginning (Im pretty sure he nicked me in the beginning), but as the time went on, he was methodical and I was very satisfied. I have to say that I agree with another review about the lack of urgency; there was another customer who was waiting awhile while I was getting my hair cut. I could tell he was frustrated, but I think the extra time and care that Anthony took was worth it. It wasnt just a shave my head, get me out of the door, and I can get more tips kind of place. I will definitely go back here.

People who complain about the wait time should realize that the shops high volume of clientele is a positive connotation. Now, on to the actual review.First of all, if youre planning on getting a good haircut without calling ahead, be prepared to wait. A walk-in haircut with Jason is like a unicorn sighting. Corey, German, and Malik (?) are all excellent and can pretty much guarantee a great cut, but like I said before, do yourself a favor and take down their cell numbers or have an open schedule before getting a cut from these guys.I would have given 5-stars, but two terrible experiences here with Paige and Antonio stand out in my head the most, unfortunately.Paige is clearly confident in himself for reasons unknown. He not only cut me, but he also failed to fade correctly. I practically had to go home and put a hat on. The taper was horrible. As for Antonio, I was waiting to get a haircut from German, as was CLEARLY circled in the book, but I didnt know what German looked like. When my name was called, I assumed it was going to be German. Turns out I was dead wrong. The cut was okay, but sub-par. He didnt just tear up my hairline, I probably could have graphed the slope of the line on a damn graph. Even after waiting for my hair to grow back, the hairline was pushed so far back originally that there was still a little slant when getting a better haircut from a different barber at the shop.Overall, in my experience, steer clear of anyone not named Jason, Corey, German, or Malik. I believe the appearance of the shop is actual down due to renovation, but its normally very clean and well kept.

The first guy on the right when you first walk in is extremely rude. (older guy)When I pointed out that he did not trim my hair evenly, he started yelling at me and asking me if I was the barber. I am not spending 20 bucks so someone can yell at me for pointing out their mistakes.

This is by far the worst barbershop and over priced. They were smoking in our faces while they were cutting my hair, he stopped cutting my hair to talk to somebody for like 20 mins plus they are trash and they take so much time.

Horrible service. they cut me in multiple areas. the shop overall was in very poor condition. the floor was dirty and the whole place smelled really bad, I waited and hour to get a haircut and I think the manager told my barber to speed up my haircut to get me out fast, and I ended up getting cut all over. I think my barber was paige. he is a nice guy but sux at cutting hair. ill never go to vip again. I found another place called kevs barber. they do a better job and its more of a professional atmosphere.

Only a couple ppl there know how to cut and you end up waiting hours to see them. i got there at 5:30 one time and at 7:45 they told me i had to come back another day. after i waited over 2 hours. not to mention its just plain ghetto there. they decided to decorate with cheap plywood on the walls and a dirty a$$ ceiling, you can literally see the dirt and dust falling through the air (very unsanitary for a barber shop). the floor is cheap laminate (wannabee hard wood lol ) with piles of cut hair stuck between the cracks because the owner jason cuts not only hair but cuts corners in the business to save money, what a cheap skate for a place called vip lol...some of the barbers are good ppl and they have their friends write good fake reviews... this is a real one. if you dont mind waiting hours to get a OK haircut then go for it. the shop is very ghetto and unsanitary but a couple of the barbers are pretty good at what they do.

I took my son to this barber shop this past weekend. WARNING : NOT A KID FRIENDLY ENVIROMENT!!! All the barbers were using foul language, they had uncensored rap music playing and you could hear all the curse words in the lyrics of the music. It was a VERY unprofessional environment. I would not recommend this shop to family.

I just woke up today and I realized what a mistake I’ve done going to this barbershop. I believe they brought a new guy yesterday and he doesn’t what he’s doing. He really messed up my hairline😡😡
